Awesome food and really great service. Tri tip, mashed potatoes, Mac n cheese, breadsticks and the salad were so delicious. Our entire experience was great. The employees helped us on how to order off the menu (it can be a bit overwhelming) and really helped us on describing their potion sizes that best suited our dinner for 2. To go boxes are readily available near your table which is pretty convenient. The restaurant is a good size, was very clean and well put together. I also had high hopes for this place but was very disappointed. The atmosohere is nice, except you have to walk to the back corner of the place to fetch your own drinks, napkins, plates, silverware, condiments, etc. We went for our 5 year olds birthday. His mac n cheese odd the kids menu was the tastiest thing we ordered, and it was bland kids mac n cheese. We also ordered the ahi salad. Wow!! The ahi had zero seasoning, was half over-cooked and half raw and came on a plate of oil saturated arugula - a large amount of arugula. Nobody can stomach that much arugula. The amount of ahi was miniscule. We also ordered the pesto chicken sandwich. When it arrived at the table it looked tasty! I was initially excited. But the amount of chicken on that sandwich wad a joke. No more than 3 or 4 toddler-sized bites on the entire sandwich. For a side I chose the potato chips, which were tastless (I hadn't thought that was possible, tasteless potato chips - but live and learn). The chips came with some sort of dipping sauce which was just awful. Disappointed all the way around. I don't get all the raving reviews. I was very disappointed in this restaurant. I did not appreciate the order station in the front of the restaurant. After you order and sit down you're basically on your own. Although the staff was very friendly and the restaurant was relatively clean the quality of the food was terrible. My family and I orders the Tri tip, mashed potatoes and a salad. The tri tip tasted like it was injected with a salt solution and looked like plastic, the mashed potatoes were equally awful, crumbly and tasteless. And the salad was wilted and mushy. So disgusting. Overall I would say don't even bother going here, save your money. If you want to spend 50 on barbecue go to Lucile's, Famous Daves or some other barbecue place. read more

I was very disappointed with my visit tonight. Friday night, the wife was craving tri tip and those wonderful garlic mashed potatoes. Who would ever think that a restaurant could run out of potatoes ? Is there any excuse ? I thought about driving to Pasadena, but we asked for pasta as a sub & served pesto, very tasty. The set up was weird!!!! This type of food I believe needs a server to serve you what you need. No one wants to walk an entire restaurant to fill their drink or to grab silverware. Stone fire grill is a weird set up, so be prepared to be confused when you walk in. However, the employees are very accommodating and resourceful. We came in on a Sunday evening, party of 8, and we probably waited in line for 10 minutes. We got a family meal that only was supposed to feed four. We added a medium pizza, 2 medium sides and 6 drinks. We had PLENTY of food for all 8 of us and it was under $100! And it was hot and delicious. Greek salad was chopped really fine. Beans have big chunks of steak in them. Mashed potatoes were creamy. All delicious. And it didn't take long to get food. Salad and breadsticks came within two minutes of sitting at the table. The breadsticks are fantastic, and the chicken and tri tip are really good! I also had the beet and arugala salad. Order the dressing on the side as mine was over dressed. The portions are petite. They have a large variety of items to choose from. Whether it's bbq or salads there is something for everyone. The atmosphere isn't great though. It's kind of confusing that you place your order in the front and wait for it to be delivered to your table. Think Carls Jr with better food. It also stinks that they carry pepsi and not coke. With a menu so large, it's hard to have time to really look at the menu when there is a line to order. I came in on Thursday the 16th around 2 pm and the 2 gals taking the orders were so helpful and nice very personable. We ordered Italian chopped salad and large works pizza. Everything tasted great. Friendly helpful staff since everything is self serve. The server brought my pizza on a flimsy stand be aware! I was really looking forward to this place opening. The LA-based radio station I listen to is always raving about this place and their bread sticks. I'd been disappointed that there weren't any around us. Once I went I was a little bit disappointed. It was more because it was over hyped - not that the food wasn't good. Also, from what I'd heard I imagined it was a little more upscale with table service. I had invited my daughter and her boyfriend for a celebration dinner and we left when I found out you order at the counter before you sit down. I was looking for something fancier. I have gone back a couple times for to-go food. The tri-tip is VERY good! I don't think you get enough food for the money when you just order a single meat meal. If I remember correctly you just get the meat, a small side and breadsticks. The next time I ordered tri-tip and chicken and an extra side. It was significantly more money and a little more than I could eat but at least I got the variety I was looking for and a heartier meal. The grilled cauliflower is also very good! It has a sauce with it that was amazing. Even my son liked it and he's not a fan of cauliflower. Stonefire Grill has good food and atmosphere as long as you know what to expect. read more

We decided to stop by for dinner since we've heard good things about Stonefire. This location is in a really good area lots of parking in safe lighted parking lot. Ordering style and seating style is just like Panera. We placed our order for the Tri Tip and Rib combo, my side was the garlic mashed potatoes. Well I must say I was throughly disappointed at what I received. Ribs were cold along with the Tri tip and the garlic mashed potatoes were bland and pretty much tasteless. The on duty Manager brought us our food and said he would return with our breadsticks well that didn't happen. I asked an employee to speak to the manager regarding the temperature of our food and the employee said he would be right with us. After waiting 20 minutes to speak with a manager he never showed up. For the price we paid for the quality of the food we received I am truly disappointed. I understand they've only been open a month or so but something has to change. read more

I've been here multiple times in the past, I love the food and usually this is one of my favorite spots to bring my girlfriends for lunch because they have such a variety of foods in their menu. One of my favorite dishes is the pesto pasta- it is to die for, and the pasta is always al dente and never overcooked. I really enjoy their salads- the bbq chicken and Caesar salads are my favorite. To top it off, they have really good customer service here- a few times the manager has walked around the tables and asked how everything was which is something I really appreciate. When I ask the waiters for something they're always so kind and have a great attitude. One of my favorite workers is Celine, she's helped me out multiple times in past visits with such an attentive attitude and I've grown to favor her service over the course of my visits. I hope they decide to build one closer to home in Ontario! read more

We came for lunch and I was very disappointed the food was not good at all , we ordered the steak and cheese and French dip sandwich's and the French dip had no cheese and only 2 pieces of meat the steak and cheese was just as bad the meat was way over cooked. I know it's a chain and trying to stay original but half the place could have way more seating and less wait time. Although the wait here was kind of long, it was definitely worth it! The dining experience is a little different than the traditional restaurants since you order and pay for your food first. Because of this, your food arrives to your table much earlier than at other restaurants where you pay after. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. I ordered the ribs which were cooked perfectly. I was in a party of 9, and the staff was very accommodating. I was confused as to where the silverware was, and a staff member named James helped me find it. He was very helpful and had a great attitude. When I first walked in, I was not welcomed. There were a bunch of people waiting to be helped. I was confused because they had registers in the front and I was not sure if it was only for ordering take out or what so I waited by the door. The lady at the register asked who was waiting to order first and I raised my hand. I asked her how it works, "do I order here and go find a seat?" She confirmed. I asked about drinks and she told me about the soft drinks they offer, I noticed the wine menu in front of me and asked about that, and she confirmed I can order wine or beer as well. Keep in mind I've never been here so i was super confused and the ambiance did not match the approach they presented with "self serve". I ordered quickly, found a seat and my wine arrived. Shortly after my food arrived and I asked about silverware and the waiter said "it's self service so the folks are over in the corner." I get up and walk to the other side of the building and get a folk. On my way, I kept slipping on the floor due to multiple water spills and sauce spills, I'm assuming from the pasta and pizzas they serve here. I get back to my seat, and start eating. My food was warm to cold throughout and the noodles seemed halfway done. Overall the meal was pleasant but I was hoping for a hot, fully cooked meal. I will probably not come back to this place. However, I suggest you put up a huge sign that says order here then seat yourself and get your own folks because walking into this place, first impression, it's confusing and awkward. read more

So I came here with my boyfriend and his parents and the ambiance is nice, good music, very polite and professional employees etc. We ordered two tri-tip half & half, mashed potatoes, bread sticks, caesar salad, and half rack of ribs and being a first time customer, I must say the food is actually phenomenal. The caesar salad has an odd spiciness that makes it soooooo good. Breadsticks compliments the salad with a nice garlic taste. The meat was tender and tasted amazing. We did have a problem with our order though. Our order was accidentally cancelled so they didn't bring it to us despite us waiting (not too long) but the staff was very apologetic/polite, got us our food, and got it on the house which was super sweet. 10/10 recommend. We were disappointed partially because we didn't know what to expect. We didn't get a detailed explanation of how to navigate the restaurant. There was a serious bottleneck when checking in; especially, when they are very busy.
