Let me explain the reason for the 3 's . The food was AMAZING! This was the first time here, I knew we needed to order our food first and then find a place to eat, I tipped $10 when I paid only because I didn't have cash to leave later. The service was very questionable! We had to get our own plates, napkins, silverware (which they were out of) we got our salad and I was finally able to sit with a fork, 2 minutes later my chicken and tri-tip came (without the mashed potatoes) let me say it took another 8-9 minutes to get the rest of my party's food. I asked about the mashed potatoes and they said they were still working on them. My meat was COLD. I talked to a manager and asked about my issues and she said once the section is done with the food they bring it out they don't focus on all the food coming out together.I again asked about my potatoes..... now at least 10mins after I got my meat... I asked so I'm suppose to eat the meat now and when the potatoes come eat them by themselves? Long story short ... the food was amazing when I was able to eat it! But to tip b4 we get our service what am I tipping for? I even had to get my own to go box!?!?! I will probably eat here again but will TAKE OUT! I took my family to this restaurant yesterday for the first time. We ordered "the feast" combination and it was beyond what we would have ever hoped for! The rack of baby back ribs was excellent, tender and nicely smoked. The roasted chicken, sides and breadsticks were amazing as well. I just want to share my wonderful experience with Chris the GM at Stonefire Grill today. I placed an online order last night for 2 half pans but realized I forgot to order the amazing breadsticks. So i called first thing in the morning and Chris answered. She suggested that I order a dozen for the amount of food I ordered but she also said she would cut them in half so I would have more to serve. When why I arrived not only was she incredibly friendly but she generously did not charge me for the order of breadsticks and said "I took care of it". This place is definitely hit or miss. Last time everything was really good. This time the ribs were brittle (over cooked) and the Mac and cheese was watery. Wow, talk about bang for your buck. The portions here are huge and the prices are so good. Was seriously impressed by the meat quality, customer service, and overall value. False advertising. I ordered the new family meal bundle online. What they picture online is not what I received in person regarding the pizza size. I wish they would clarify online that you will be receiving 4 very small slices. It wasn't until I picked up my order and saw the receipt says 7 inch pizza but no where online do they describe the pizza will be 7 inches. All the photos online show a decent size pizza EVEN when you order the "feeds two" option. Someone needs to make that correction online. This meal should be called "feeds two toddlers". read more

Stop here on a Friday night. Food was delicious, place is nice. And prices are reasonable. Upon waking in, You have to pick what you want and pay upfront then find a seat. I did take a star away because when we're in the front ordering the lady taking our order didn't seem pleasure, looked like she didn't want to be at work. I asked a few questions since it was our 1st time there. She wasn't much help. I ordered the tri-tip, and chicken family plater (menu says it serves 4), I share this with my 18yr old son. We killed it, I'd say honestly this platter isn't for 4 adults it feeds 2 it cost about $50 bucks. Only thing that came with it and did feed 4 for sure was the salad! For my Dad's birthday, My family wanted to take him out for lunch. I surprised him by taking him to Stonefire Grill in Rancho Cucamonga. There are located off off Foothill Blvd and Aspen Ave at a shopping center. They have plenty of parking, so I don't think there would be an issue in my personal opinion. When we arrived, we were welcomed by the friendly staff. I decided to get us the Stimulus Package; we ordered: Mesquite BBQ Whole Chicken, 8 breadsticks, Sharable Size Alfredo & Large Size Caesar Salad. After I paid, we went to our table for our order to be brought to us. While we were waiting for order, we had to get our plates and utensils. Stonefire Grill is different because you have to pay first, then you get your utensils and choice of drink on the soda fountain. Our server brought our order and it looked prepared fresh. We shared pretty much everything, but my favorite was the Mesquite BBQ Chicken. The chicken had flavor and was moist, the Alfredo was rich and the portions in my personal option was generous to share. Our overall experience was good and the amount of food for the Stimulus Package was very appreciated. In my personal opinion, we always order at Stonefire Grill and will continue do so. I order from here a lot but this was my first time going in. You order at the counter and choose your own seat. They give you a buzzer and then come find you when the food is ready. Dishes and utensils are located by the drink fountain at the rear of the restaurant. They only had house BBQ sauce available for condiments. Take out containers are located in the same area. Smaller containers for saucy items are available on request. My sister got the tri- tip meal with mashed potatoes and I got the half rack rib plate with beans. Meals come with bread sticks (really good, with some sort of pesto on them) Cost about $45. Break down: Tri-tip: we got 2 flavors they were really juicy and cooked to her specification (medium well). Mashed potatoes: Sssooo good! Creamy, garlicky and massive. Could honestly feed a family of 4 easily. Ribs: were really good. Very smokey and juicy as well. Lots of meat on the bones so that was nice. Beans: were delicious! A lot of work was put into those really wonderful cumin flavor along with onion and sweet/spicy sauce. This place has their sides on point. All in all we very much enjoyed the food but for the price and the well made and tasty food we felt it really should be a traditional sit down. Stonefire Grill is finally open for patio seating. I was excited as this is one of my favorite restaurants in the area and we were finally able to get our barbecue fix. However, this particular visit left me feeling very disappointed. We ordered the chicken and ribs combo for two and the ribs came out raw. We asked management to re-cook the ribs but instead, it seemed as if they just threw a bunch of sauce on the ribs without re-cooking them. The chicken was really dry and overall it just wasn't a good experience. Likely won't return. At least not until COVID lifts restrictions for this place, as outdoor dining is not their fortay. read more

So this is my first time eating here and it will probably be my last. I'm giving a star simply because the people were nice. However, my food was terrible. I ordered a super food salad bowl and asked they add salmon. For 17$ I would assume it would be a really good salad. My salmon looked like a dried out biscuit. Trying to eat it was even worse it didn't flake or anything it was the hardest and driest 3oz of salmon I have ever had. Taste was like it was freezer burnt. This makes this restaurant great for groups so you don't have to split checks at the end. We popped in yesterday and I had the BBQ Chopped Salad. It was my main meal of the day so I ate the shareable one myself and it was SUPER filling and hearty. I'm on a special diet and I appreciated that this salad had plenty of vegetable toppings. 12 stars for the carrot cake since it was out of this world. One of the best I've ever had and I would make a special trip there to get it (even if I weren't eating there). It's honestly also why I wrote this review. That's how good it is. Since I'm here, I might as well tell you my opinion about the rest of the experience. FOOD: Tri tip was ok. It was bland and tough to cut/chew. Not bad, but also not good. I wouldn't get it again. Ribs were pretty good for a restaurant (I prefer to smoke them at home instead, but they were still good). I like the light amount of BBQ sauce they had on them and the flavor was good. I would get them again. We got the two half chickens (one mesquite BBQ and one lemon garlic). The mesquite BBQ half chicken was great. Great flavor and very moist. The lemon garlic half chicken was good, but not as good as the BBQ chicken. I would get the mesquite BBQ half chicken again. I've read some reviews about the chicken being dry, and I can't speak for the chicken breast option, but both half chickens that we have were very moist and juicy. For dessert, we shared the "Shareable" (size) carrot cake (which was a pretty good size portion), the fudge brownie, and Sandy's cookie. As I mentioned above, the carrot cake was unbelievable (I'm craving some and it's 10:30 am as I'm writing this haha). Nuff said. The fudge brownie was also really good and we devoured it as well. Not as good as the carrot cake, but still really, really good. I would get this again as well. The cookie was ok. Nothing to write home about. Not good, not bad. Wouldn't get it again because it's overshadowed by the amazing carrot cake and brownie. SERVICE: There's not much to be said about the service since it's mostly self serve (i.e. you go get your own plates, utensils, napkins, and drinks) other than the food came out pretty quickly which was great. The wait time was ridiculously long. There was only was cashier on a Sunday late afternoon. There seemed to be a lot of employees helping in the back but not enough in the front. Also I had placed a to go order and it took way longer than it said. When I kept checking on my food the staff at the front offered no apologies and most of the staff were moving really slow with no urgency. The food was delicious but I value good customer service. The fact that I had to wait so long and watch the staff move about slowly, uncaring, lacking essential customer service skill was a big turn off to me. Unfortunately, this time our experiences and expectations were not the same!!!! This place is reflecting horrible customer service and a nasty dinning area and 3rd world restrooms. From the very beginning, the cashier who was lazy not to mention incompetent (She got our order wrong! Which we didn't know until we got our food). We had a WHOLE MEAL MISSING (By the time we realized this, the line was so long it wasn't worth getting back in line). And there at that time was NO managers around to address the meal missing. Then to the extremely lazy staff, who stood around like high school teenagers talking and looking at phones, instead of cleaning tables (Which by the way after asking TWO different employees to help with cleaning the table for our party of five). After never getting help to clean the tables, I took it upon myself to bus three tables, putting everything on one! The employees saw how upset I was after about ten minutes and sent an employee over to our table after it was all cleaned off, to wipe down our table. Additionally, there were flies everywhere in and around our food as well. The bathrooms were dirty with one toilet having ZERO toilet paper and the other with one pull of toilet paper left to blow my nose. Which was actually a huge mistake, because from the moment you walk in you were punched in the face with a horrid smell. The employees began to work a little harder once a lady appearing to be a manager came out. But, again she came across lazy as well. We will try this place in the future (Not near though), because the food is amazing, hoping that someone in upper management reads this, and other post and fixes these issues.) read more

We attended 2 weddings at the same venue in 2023, one catered by Stonefire, and one catered by Lucille's BBQ. Both provided excellent food however, there were 2 big differences, price and service . Stonefire Grill sent 3 servers, and everyone was provided food in a buffet line very nicely, and in a timely manner. The big disappointment was Lucille's barbecue that only sent 2 servers, and it took an extremely long time to get all of the guests served dinner. Both weddings had approximately 150 guests. Additionally, Lucille's barbecues price almost double compared to Stonefire Grill. If you are planning a wedding or other type of large party, I definitely recommend Stonefire Grill over Lucille's barbecue. read more
