I do not believe in leaving bad reviews to restaurants as I believe everyone has bad days!! But this is more than a bad day. I did not even have yelp downloaded until moments ago, and I feel it would be counterintuitive to stay silent. I used to love stonefire, taking my family to eat there at least once a week. We loved the pesto, and the pizza, and those juicy ribs. But the quality has MORE than declined. It's non existent. My family has been leaving disappointed, and sometimes still hungry because the food is inedible. This is not a review about one meal, but a cumulative review after several disheartening trips to stonefire. The pesto noodles were rock hard, barely any sauce. Same goes for the marinara. The Tri tip has consistently been becoming more grizzly, fatty, dry, and each bite takes 2-3 minutes to chew. The ribs are super inconsistent; delectable on some nights, dry and chewy on others. The Pizza is lackluster, and so are the pizza toppings. The salad lettuce browning and wilted. I can't comprehend how it is possible to create such a soggy, depressing salad. The dressings are amazing for the most part but come on? Fresh salad please! The Tortilla soup is gooey, and I can tell it sits in the same pot all day, slowly solidifying. The chicken breasts and salmon (my wife's favorites) have been undercooked, slimy. If it weren't for the lemon garlic sauce, they would be completely inedible as well. I could go down the menu and explain why i've been disappointed with every item lately, but let's move on to the staff. There used to be polite, well mannered, efficient waiters/waitresses. Well trained as well. It seems in the past year/18 months that all the former staff has moved on to other jobs and have been replaced with obnoxious high schoolers vape nicotine and marijuana in the bathrooms instead of working. The bathrooms literally smell like weed, cat piss and nicotine. They're also filthy. These new hires seem to be untrained and cannot fulfill simple requests or answer questions about the menu without asking a coworker or manager for help! Some of them sneer at you for asking for simple things like boxes or napkins. Or they just roll their eyes at you. I frequently hear these kids using foul language and even slurs out loud as if my family isn't sitting in the booth 4 feet away! Some of the rudest staff members i've had the misfortune of being waited on by are Olivia, and Sean (though we haven't seen him lately). But to be honest the other workers aren't much better. Safe to say me and my family will no longer be dining at stonefire grill. I guess wood ranch really is the way to go. read more

The food at Stonefire Grill is extremely fresh and no matter what you order it is guaranteed to have bold, unique, mouthwatering flavor that will keep you coming back again and again! I love Caesar Salad with chicken and I order it at restaurants all the time . . . the first time I had it at Stonefire, however, it was like I had tasted manna that had fallen from Heaven--HOLY YUMNESS, IT IS AMAAAAAZING!! :-) :-) Caesar Salad from anywhere else pales in comparison now and I'm pretty sure it's because Stonefire's Caesar dressing is like crack to me--SOOOOOO GOOD (Who cares if I have garlicky dragon breath afterward--it's beyond worth it! ;-))!! I'm convinced they must mix their own dressing from scratch because I've never had anything like it (yikes, now I'm salivating just thinking about it :-)). Aside from the food, the restaurant is impeccably clean and always well-staffed and organized. I worked in the food service industry for four years and it is quite obvious to me that this restaurant has a stellar employee training program because their customer service is some of the best I've ever experienced and the whole operation runs like a well-oiled, finely-tuned machine. The employees seem to really like working there and their warmth, hospitality, and friendliness is always genuine and never forced. In summary, eat at Stonefire and you won't be disappointed. Like me, your only regret will likely be that you don't have a giant stomach complete with a 4-compartment digestive system just like a cow's because, trust me, you're definitely going to want to eat portions fit for a bovine-sized appetite at this place! ;-) read more

Well, this is my first Yelp review! So I visited Stonefire for the first time about a week ago, and my experience was OK. One of the first things I noticed upon my arrival is that none of the male employees sported any facial hair. Now I am a beard man myself, and I take pride in my nice thick beard. Beards are just simply one of the things I noticed in people. I immediately thought that this was one of the types of businesses that thought that facial hair was "unprofessional", as I know many restaurants are like this. If this IS true and the company doesn't allow facial hair, I am severely disappointed. We live in the 21st century, and we need to be accepting of others. No sane person cares about facial hair and will be turned off by business because an employee has it. Other than that minor beef, I really enjoyed my experience and the food was good and the service was friendly. I ordered the tri tip meal and it was delicious! I would definitely eat it again. The servers are also very friendly. A guy with a shaved head, I believe his name was Dan, brought me my food and was very polite and made me feel at home. Another employee, a taller guy who's name escapes me but I think it started with a W, was bussing the tables and was very funny and had a good personality. I would definitely eat here again due to the delicious food and friendly staff. However,, as a beard advocate, if I discover that this place runs its business like its the 1950s, I may have to reconsider my business here. read more

Nope, never again. Not only were there an over abundance of tables in need of being cleared off the entire 30min we were there, but the workers were all standing around talking like the work didn't need to be done. Those that wore masks had their noses hanging out, and the guy making the pizza was more interested in dancing around than wearing his mask as anything other than a chin-strap. Glad to see they're following the COVID protocol as listed on their front door. lol! Justin took my order and while I did make a change (salad with a side of breadsticks to a sandwich), he assured me that it was updated correctly. It wasn't. I was charged for breadsticks I didn't want, and not offered a side for my sandwich. When the food came, he actually tried convincing me my meal didn't come with a side. Also, when I pointed out the breadsticks didn't come, he doubled down telling me I wasn't charged for them. Even after seeing the receipt. Their food is incredible. I was disappointed with the service. We ordered a family meal and macaroni. They brought all the food out except for the macaroni. We started eating the food they brought, which was awesome. The BBQ chicken is my favorite. After 10 mins I asked the server where the macaroni was. She said, "I'll go check." Another 10 minutes went by and by this point we were almost done with our food. I walked over to the kitchen and someone asked if I needed help. I said we didn't get our macaroni yet and we're done with our food. He went to go find out what happened. When he came back he said, "There was a mix up and your order was sent out with a to-go order. I'll get another one ordered." No apology. No offer for more breadsticks or a free dessert. When the macaroni finally came, we asked for a box to take it home because we were already done with our food. Not very happy with the level of service. read more

Stonefire is STONE COLD when it comes to service and the dishes they serve. Not only is the place erratic on the food quality, but also inconsistent in the upkeep of the building and managerial aptitude. Seriously, poor execution in the kitchen as our pizza repeatedly shows up on the table with no cheese and completely burned. Even a remake doesn't suffice. A manager, too, admitted that the pizzas haven't been the same since the company cut back on cheese portions and quality. In my opinion, before the budget cuts, the pizza used to be one of the best in town. The biggest flaw are the managers that hire imbeciles that can't cook, clean tables nor serve a proper meal. Did I mention the dirty facility itself? Ants crawling on the walls, corrosion from over- bleaching in the bathrooms and a real unfriendly vibe from all that are employed...Just ask yourself one question... 5 Stars - Perfect Team Dinner Experience! We recently hosted our basketball team dinner at Stonefire Grill, and everything was absolutely PERFECT! From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming and accommodating, making sure our large group was taken care of. The food was incredible--delicious, fresh, and served in generous portions. Every dish was a hit, from the tri-tip and BBQ chicken to the amazing breadsticks, pasta and salads. It was the perfect meal for a hungry team after a long regular season! It's playoff time! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it easy for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves. The service was top-notch--friendly, efficient, and attentive, even with our big group. I've already been here twice this week! They've recently brought on quinoa to the menu, and it is definitely a great addition! I got the petite Italian Chopped salad with quinoa instead of salami, and it is the perfect size for the price. When I am a little hungrier, I get the petite tri tip combo - it comes with tri tip, a small salad, and two bread sticks. I was advised to order the barbecue tri tip medium rare - I never order my meat less than medium well - and it was absolutely delicious. The ambiance is very family friendly - my family loves to come here with big groups because it is much easier to pay separately, and it's also very cozy for a casual restaurant. There is usually a 5-10 minute wait to order, but that gives you enough time to decide on what to choose! The mashed potatoes and ribs are also a favorite. Wow, a fast food style BBQ. We visited this place during a weekend evening. The place was crowded. There is a fundamental issue for this restaurant. You cannot let people order at the counter with such complicate menu. The waiting line was very long. After struggled with the cashier for over 5 min to get my order in, we found a spot to seat in the dinning area. This is very noise place with a lot of kids. So you can say it's family friendly. The food came pretty quick, and confirmed my suspicion on assembly line type cooking. Food was average for my taste. BBQ is in a comeback mode in last couple years. Wood Ranch has been doing well in this area. Quick serve type BBQ probably will do well for a small store without waiting staff. With this size store, delicate prepared food, and self serve are not a good combination. read more

I keep giving this location another chance, but the experience never seems to improve. The biggest issue is cleanliness. Almost every time we visit, the tables are dirty and look like they haven't been properly cleaned between customers. The dining area often feels neglected, which makes it hard to enjoy the meal. The food is usually okay, but the service and overall customer experience are disappointing. Employees often seem uninterested in helping customers and rarely appear engaged or attentive. A friendly attitude and a cleaner dining room would go a long way. Stonefire Grill has the potential to be a great place to eat, but until they improve their cleanliness standards and customer service, I can't recommend this location. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing experience. We have some dietary restrictions, and Sean was incredibly attentive, helping us navigate the menu and find the perfect options that fit our needs. He's not just friendly, but also really knowledgeable, and made sure everything we ordered was prepared just right. He checked in throughout our meal to ensure everything was to our liking, and his attention to detail really stood out. The order family meals to go from Stonefire and am always satisfied. However, this location really disappointed me. I ordered a meal for a family of six online. About 10 minutes after I ordered I realized that I was going to be much later than what I estimated the order so I called the location. Not only were they electronically unable to change the time the food would be ready. They couldn't manually do it despite me being on the phone. In addition, the food was ready 20 minutes prior to the original order time which met my food, sat for an hour before I picked it up. All the meat was dry, and the salad was so soggy. read more

Last month I attended my uncles 3rd wedding. It was really fun, and I am really looking forward to his next one; he doesnt have the best track record. The caterers this time around were Stonefire grill. They were better than most wedding caterers and more friendly in general. Their chicken, steak and mashed potatoes were surprisingly good (again, relative to catering food in general)and their staff did not nazi the food. I was upset when I moved to the Thousand Oaks area and the closest Stonefire was in West Hills, but luckily they opened a new location just down the street. I have been a Stonefire fan since the first one popped up in my hometown, they always have great food, great service and great prices! Having grown up in a family of all boys, Stonefire has always been able to feed all of us with such big portions. I definitely recommend this place to everyone. Four of us went to this restaurant Sunday evening. Two of us had the Caesar Salad and spent the next two days with food poisoning. The girlfriend even had to cancel a flight for her Thanksgiving plans because she was too ill to make it to the airport. I missed a day of work, We have eaten here before and it was fine, but in the very least I will be taking a several year break and certainly caution others when considering this location. Great location I love ordering takeout from here normally. Decided to step inside and dine in, the Team in the front was amazing at reccomending different dishes and although you have to order in the front and they bring the food, I was greeted by 2 managers asking how my food was and if I needed anything additional. This is one of my favorite restaurants! I've NEVER been disappointed with the food or the preparation. My favorite meal is the Lemon Garlic Chicken Breast plate with a Cesar Salad. Every time I host a party, I make sure I do a Cesar Salad and I pick up a quart of the dressing. Hands down the best Cesar dressing I've ever encountered. If I could give more stars, I would. I've been a fan of Stonefire since my high school days in the valley. Stonefire in T.O has been my go to over and over again when I'm lazy to cook. I love the quality of their items on their menu from their tender tri-tip to their fresh salads. They've always been consistent on my to go orders.
