Stonefire Grill rocks! The tri-tip and chicken (bbq or garlic) is always good, I don't think I've ever been disappointed here at all! My wife orders the salmon every time she craves it and she loves it. The lines are out the door at times, one improvement I would have is to have 3 people taking orders, usually it is only 2. One can see so many people running around the kitchen, in take-out and on the floor, it would behoove the manager to train more folks to become cashiers, therefore moving the line along faster. One of the worst meals we have ever experienced. We had the lemon garlic chicken that was dry and was too sour. The ribs were fatty and tasteless. Their "BBQ" was a sweet sour sauce, not a hint of traditional BBQ flavor. And the salad was also overly sour. My mother, who never complains, said that the place was beautiful, but could barely eat her dinner. "The frame was more beautiful than the picture. Been coming here for years ! Made it a little cheesy tradition to have dinner here every time we went to six flags. All my friends have loved it and ask to come here. Great great food, awesome staff. Great place to relax and have a glass of wine and a few beers after a long way. Really wish I had one closer to home. Just love this place so much. Tonight we were trying to avoid our 2 hour drive home and had an extra beer and wine& they didn't kick us out or give us any rude comments or remarks. They welcomed us to stay as long as we wanted. OK, I have to admit I have only eaten a couple things at Stonefire Grill, but they were so good and such a deal, I have kept coming back and ordering the same thing. We enjoy both the Cobb and the Cartwheel, but of the two I much prefer the Cobb as a meal. The Cobb salad here is a great deal like the original, served at the Brown Derby. One difference is the size. The "Medium" (priced at about $15) was so huge that not only couldn't I finish it in one sitting, but it served dinner for me the next two days as leftovers. Seriously, just a medium would stuff two BIG eaters. The Cartwheel is more vegetarian and would be better as a side. And then there's their carrot cake. A full slice is about $5 and it took me three days to finish it. It is also just about the best carrot cake I have ever had. read more

I have yet to find a place with a better salad selection than Stonefire. I worked here back in 2008 for about 6 months and still come back for their great food. Everything they have is amazing and at a price that is even better! My family and I order their family meals at least once a month for pick up. I am proud to say that I have gotten them addicted. Best go to place fr food in Valencia. Everything is very good. Tanya handles everything quite well. Wen you go in it can be very crowded but even with 8-10 waiting to order it goes pretty smooth and quick. Love all the food, especially the mac n cheese as they make their own pasta. I've been coming here for years, this place has great salads, tri tip, bbq chicken, great pasta. Service is great. I can't think of a bad meal that I've had here, they are consistently great. The last time I ate at a Stonefire Grill was ages ago and it was in a group gathering at this location. My wife and I decided to stop in for a late lunch / early dinner and the parking lot was pretty empty, as was the restaurant inside. We ordered the 1/4 chicken and Bbq ribs combo, with the house salad and a side of the "garlic" mashed potato's. The house side salad and breadsticks arrived first, the side salad all ready had the dressing mixed into it and you couldn't taste what type of dressing it was supposed to be. The side salad was large, very crisp and totally tasteless. The breadsticks were freshly made and also pretty tasteless. The 1/4 Bbq chicken (thigh/leg) arrived next with the end of a rack of ribs (six pieces). The ribs were WAY over cooked and heavily salted, so much so you couldn't taste the Bbq sauce, you just felt the twang of the Bbq sauces heat, but not the flavor. The meat itself was dry and very chewy, it did not come off the bone very easy at all. The Bbq chicken was very plain for being Bbq'd, but it was cooked properly and very moist, kudos there. The "garlic" mashed potato's are anything but, there wasn't any taste of garlic to be found. They had diced green onions scattered on the top, you could taste them, but not the garlic. We asked for some butter for the potato's and were given a dish of melted margarine instead. I'm sorry, if you want a decent Bbq joint, DO NOT COME HERE, you'll be sorely disappointed! read more

i frequent the one in chatsworth because i live in northridge, but my aunt lives in valencia. it's only natural of me to compare the two locations. i haven't been to this location in YEARS, and i noticed that they've expanded and that the interior decor is that of an upscale restaurant than a casual restaurant. i was definitely loving the warm colors. we usually order the whole tri-tip family meal with a side of garlic mashed potates. i was lovin the garlic mashed potatoes here! whole roasted garlic is in the mashed potatoes and i love that! we asked for our meat cooked medium, but it was well done. no one checked up on us and that's something i'm used to when dining at the chatsworth location. i had to walk to the take-out counter to ask for a container for the leftover mashed potatoes and a bag. read more

Stonefire is one of the best gems in SCV. I always order the BBQ Chopped Salad. A regular sized one is enough for 2 people with leftovers. I also love putting extra bbq sauce on it. I try to make a point of stopping in if ever in Santa Clarita and hungry. read more

If you like tri-tip and you like salad then you can't go wrong with the tri tip chopped salad. (My favorite) with mashed potatoes. The barbeque sauce is the finishing touch. The bread is good too. I go to stonefire for family gatherings and lunch. Although it is a nicely decorated establishment . I do not go there expecting valet parking, caviar, and a harp player as I dine. There are places here in Santa Clarita where I can experience that type of atmosphere if I choose. The place is crowded during peak hours however if you go early or dine later for lunch you miss the crowds. I have on many instances ordered to go when I can and have ordered meals for parties on occasion. We are always complimented on the food when we do. Stonefire grill is a fairly safe bet when it comes to feeding a lot of mouths. The Pesto pasta is surprisingly good as well as their tri-tip. This location gets pretty busy on a Friday night so plan accordingly. Their pizza however I still find lacking. When it's good it's good, but when it's bad it's bad. I usually love Stonefire Grill. The tritip is delicious and usually cooked to your liking. The garlic bread is a nice combo of salty crunchy sweet. The salads are well prepared and the combination of ingredients are complementary. The BBQ sauce is addictive. BUT when it's bad you get cold and soggy bread. Salads with left over pieces of meat, like the scraps of tritip. The inconsistency of this place brings the rating down. The restaurant itself is large and the staff is generally quick and helpful. If you get anything for pick up, call ahead. I have never actually eaten in this restaurant but I have had their food a few times at work functions. It is delicious. The garlic Parmesan bread sticks have tons of cheese on them and a great garlic flavor, the cheesy mashed potatoes are to die for and have whole roasted garlic cloves hidden inside them, the tri-tip is tender, and the lemon garlic chicken is the star of the show, moist, flavorful and fall-off-the-bone tender. Had the cracked pepper garlic tri-tip and asian chicken salad for lunch. Tri tip was really good and flavorful. The asian chicken salad was good but I just got overwhelmed by too much cabbage. Wish there was more lettuce. Our dessert was a blueberry cheese cake. It was a big slice but felt like there was too much fillers. I would not recommend this dessert at all to anyone. I will usually opt in for a yummy garlic breadstick or two.......The only reason Stone gets marked down is the to-go ordering process, it could be strealined alot more. My big "beef" with Stonefire is the wait. If you are not in here by 11:15, you will wait in line for food and a table. The food is very good and the staff and management outstanding.
