This was our fourth visit to Stoney River and it was perfect, as always. The atmosphere is open, modern and welcoming. We sat at the bar which is our preferred seating. My husband ate the steak burger which he loved. I ordered the Bistro Chicken again; it was just as superb as the last time. Jess and Dakota were attentive and took excellent care of us. They moved with a sense of urgency without appearing stressed. True professionals! Perhaps my favorite thing about Stoney River is the consistency in great food and top-notch service. read more

it is so hard to say what is the best of my experience this evening. My in-laws took me there for my birthday and it was absolutely wonderful. The food was excellent, nice serving sizes, and delicious. Their drink options were well thought out as well as their food menu. Desserts were huge, well plated, and delicious. For a rainy Wednesday, all the tables were full. The table service provided by Jetta/Jada, not exactly sure how to spell her name, was so professional and well above anything I have ever experienced. The rest of the staff worked together so well that it was amazing to watch. The open kitchen was clean and organized. Everyone seemed happy to be there. I even saw the bus person pull picked up plates from our server as they passed so she could concentrate on guests without 'batting an eye'. read more

Really enjoyed this place now that we have one in Huntsville. I've been to one in Nashville before and had a great time. My table ordered the spinach dip, cheesesteak egg rolls, and I had the filet medallions with shrimp. Everything was cooked basically to perfection. Everything about this restaurant was subpar for the price. It took more than 15 minutes after being seated for the server to take our drink order, and we only ordered waters. The food was just "eh!"...this chain used to be decent (i previously ate at the Cool Springs restaurant in TN). I find a lot of these restaurants that used to be "scratch" or unique are going cheap and quick. Unfortunately, this is a bad move. Go towards the "hole in the wall" restaurants. read more

My hubby and I walked into Stoney River for the first time thinking we would be waiting a long time to be seated. The hostesses were sweet and let us know the wait was a bit long, 30-40 minutes, but there was seating available at the bar. We opted for the bar. At the bar, we were greeted by Jada. Jada was AMAZING. She was sweet, swift, and listened to my particulars on how I like my chocolate martini. She made the best chocolate martini that I've had in years! Jada was also very knowledgeable about the menu. She was able to tell us the specials and answered my questions with ease. She also took our drink, appetizer, and meal order all at once with no problem. As for the food, it was phenomenal! We started with the Salmon Croquettes, a specialty for the night. They were perfectly crispy on the outside, well cooked, and full of flavor. I had the Branzino - another specialty for the night. It was perfect. The lemon butter sauce was well seasoned and the fish was cooked to perfection. The haricot very were not consistently cooked, but the seasoning was spot-on. The rice was perfect. My hubby had the lamb. Although they were on the small side, they were well seasoned and very tasty. One of the chops was overdone, but was still good. The mashed potatoes were perfectly seasoned and creamy. All in all, this restaurant has piqued my interest with other menu choices, so we will be back to partake of other yummy dishes. read more

Went here for a birthday celebration and had the best experience. Temperance was an amazing waitress, super friendly and proficient. The food was delicious and we had to take him some doggy bags. We had the crab dip for an appetizer, the coffee steak, French onion soup all great! read more

Our waiter Chavon, forgive me if I spelled it wrong, was the best. He bent over backwards to make our experience exceptional. I had the pecan crusted swordfish which was excellent. The sweet potatoe cassarole was to die for. My husband and I have small apetites. We ate half our dinners and when Chavon mention key lime pie, I asked for a slice to go. He not only comped us some champaigne while we waited, he also comped us a slice of the chocolate ganache cake, which I had also wanted to sample. We will most definately be back. read more

The servers were excellent and attentive, but not overly so. In other words, we had time to talk. We split an order of prime rib, 16 oz. Ordered medium rare, got medium. Our friends ordered a different steak, medium +. They got rare. They asked to have it reheated, it came back well done. At that point they gave up. They ordered deviled eggs as an appetizer and split them. The eggs were creamy and just enough spice. Very good. We split the lobster bisque, I'm no great judge of this, but it was absolutely delicious by my standards. Excellent base and just enough chunks of lobster to share and be enjoyable. The manager came by to check on our friend's underdone steak and offered to comp an appetizer or a drink, our friends declined. It was a nice gesture. After reading so many reviews of incorrectly cooked meals, I'm not sure I was entirely surprised. Still just a little disappointed. Even so the prime rib was quite good and went well with the mashed potatoes. maybe next time I will just order rare and see what happens. I will go back to try different items at different times. Decided to try this out for our anniversary after hearing rave reviews and were impressed from start to finish. The atmosphere is very nice, a little on the upscale side but still comfortable. The food was fantastic, I'll never get over that amazing bread! We both ordered the coffee cured filet and it was delicious. Corn creme brûlée = absolutely decadent. My husband had the smoked gouda mac and cheese and loved it as well. Everything we tried tasted as if no shortcuts were taken in the preparation. Fresh ingredients, prepared to perfection. This is going to be our new special occasion restaurant - and now we will have to create more special occasions, lol. read more

I have loved Stoney River since my Atlanta days. The little donuts and caramelized mashed potatoes were my favs. The food is still great. They did away with the yummy mashed potatoes. The service was on point. I was there during the day but would imagine its cost at night. read more

Very busy Saturday night, kitchen was busy. Service was great. Good atmosphere overflow parking across from restaurant. I've eaten fantastic cedar plank salmon and the bistro chicken with several sides. All very good. On this particular Saturday night I decided to get bistro chicken with smoked gouda Mac n cheese with parmesan bread crumbs, the wild mushrooms to go. Very different experience. Mac n cheese had no parmesan bread crumbs and I had to go back in to ask for the poopy seed biscuits. Lastly the menu prices listed on line have increased, my bistro chicken increased $4.00. The interior is very nice and comfortable and even though the dining rooms were full the noise level was low and conversation at the table was easy. We went here to celebrate our anniversary. It took a while to get our food but it finally came. My fish was cooked wrong and they brought me the wrong side (and the other side was cold). Someone else brought the food to us so they didn't know what we ordered. My husband ordered a salad for his side, they brought mashed potatoes. He kept it (didn't eat it) and got his salad. They took my fish back to cook it correctly and brought me the correct side. The manager Landon came by and said my fish would be brought out shortly (didn't apologize). It took at least 15-20 minutes to get my fish back, and by that time, my husband was done eating. All in all, it was pretty disastrous. To top it off, they did not comp any part of the meal, and even charged us for my husband's salad. It was a very disappointing anniversary celebration. read more

I got the meatloaf sandwich and my husband got the prime rib with mashed potatoes. Mine was salty I had them pack up over 2/3 of the plate. I thought it was just me. My husbands dish was delicious. Tonight we ate left overs and all of mine went in the garbage. The sodium level was intolerable. Hannah was an amazing server and this review has in no way any reflection on her service. Management was combative and refused to take responsibility, even implying my guests were late, which was untrue. Our waitress was kind and apologetic, but overall the customer service was poor. New clean nice setup. Sufficiently staffed. Holds 262. Now for the review. Had a reservation a brunch on Sunday. Upon arrival waited maybe 90 seconds with a fully packed house to be escorted to my table. (Note: booths are large with plenty of room.) Our waitress greeted us quickly to take our drink orders. Ordered the deviled eggs (yes we thought we ought to order them before you can't get eggs). They were very good and didn't last long. Ordered a 7 oz filet cooked to order. Don't want to say it was good, but it was gone in 60 seconds. Ordered a Cobb salad and a wedge. Both were big and delicious. Ordered the hot chicken and waffles. Both were excellent plus you get bonus bacon. Ordered crème brûlée, but they were out so ordered the chocolate cake. It was moist not too sweet and hugh. Go but make reservations. read more
