My wife and I went here for lunch and were very disappointed. Our service from Todd G. was very poor. We ordered fish and chips and wanted an extra tarter sauce and he said no and we thought he was kidding but obviously was not since he never came back and completely ignored us. We regret giving a large tip for what happened which will not be repeated if we ever return. This business needs to train their employees so they understand what customer care is all about. I went to Strap Tank in the heat of the COVID pandemic. They were handling it beautifully. Tables spaced out, servers in masks, immaculately clean, all very nice. The food was great. I don't drink beer often, it just isn't my thing, but this is a brewery, so when in Rome... It was in the top 3 beers I've ever had. It was juicy and tart and delicious. And it was not too expensive. I got nachos for the table. They were really good. Then I had a burger and the veggies were crisp and fresh. The beef was delicious. The beer and the beef were a match made in heaven. When the check came, I was thinking, really? That's it? For all of that food, appetizer, AND drinks? I will definitely be going back, and I'll be bringing friends. I was impressed. Good food, fun atmosphere. Had to wait about an hour to be seated but that was expected for a busy Saturday night. I got the wedge salad and Alfredo pasta, which was fantastic. Absolute worst dining experience I've had in many years. Food was marginally acceptable, as in our mismatched sides on separate orders from our table. The server (Caroline) provided arrogant & disrespectful. Completely unacceptable. Another example was when we requested a "to go" container it was given to use with the table receipt with my credit card, copies of bill, and the pen. This constitutes potential cross contamination. Ordered food to go the other night I got the Chicken fried chicken and there was absolutely no gravy on it isn't that what makes the meal It specifically said on the menu that is came with country gravy I was so excited for it and so when I opened the box I was very disappointed. Also ordered the chips and guacamole and for $3.00 they gave me about enough guacamole to eat with like 5 chips and lastly my boyfriend got the ahi tuna and instead of it being easy to eat it was quite difficult to eat he had to pick it apart because is was very fatty and he had to remove tendon like pieces from it. I spent $50 on this meal and we ate maybe 1/8th of it cuz it was so terrible. read more

This is turning into a place that we keep going for friend birthdays. I think I've eaten here five times now. The last time I went was the best. The sirloin steak, the mashed potatoes and salad. In January, the steak was cooked perfectly. Medium rare. Just ordered it again this week and the steak was overcooked almost well done. I choked it down because it was lunchtime on a work day and I did have time to send it back. Potatoes were great! Steak was terrible this time, but I know it can be better. Got the fish and chips once. Was really tasty but it's a lot of fried food at once. Got the seared tuna once. Kinda bland and not great. Fries here are good. Positioned high on the hill near the Outlets at Traverse Mountain, sits Strap Tank Brewery. As we drove toward their location in Lehi, it was hard not to be impressed by the outside of their establishment. The outside is full of brick and glass and two lit vintage gas pumps. The inside is equally amazing. Awesome decor, an incredible view from their many full length windows and a Harley Strap tank mounted in back of the desk in the entrance. Once we were seated, it was fun to look around the dining area, where a circus type decor filled the ceilings and room. The bar was off to one side and appeared to have a continuous glow of patrons. Our server greeted us within a couple of minutes of being seated and was quick to take our drink orders. The meals selected were the Beer Battered Fish and Chips and a Bacon Cheeseburger. We had a little time to take in the vibe and talk for a bit. Before we knew it, our food was served. It was quick and the presentation was appealing. My Fish and Chip's plate was huge!!!! The Fish was fried perfectly. (Not sure if anyone else can relate... but I cannot stomach soggy breading on Fish. This batter was fried to perfection. Not greasy and the fish (cod) was firm and just the way I like it. My wife's burger was equally large in portion and was more Thai most would finish. Along with her burger, she had the sweet potato fries. The seasoning used and shape these fries were cut into, made them crispy and very tasty. Finally... a shout out to the manager. He stopped by our table twice to check on us. Once, when the food was first delivered to our table...making sure we had everything we needed and then again, about 15 minutes later, to ask how our meals were. He was both friendly and attentive to our experience. I appreciated his effort to make sure we had a great experience. To too top it off, it was Valentines Day, so the place was absolutely packed. If ever a night to be challenged with slow service or food challenges... this would be the night and neither were issues. After we paid our bill, our server presented my wife with a flower!!! From what I could see, every woman was given a flower that night. Very thoughtful and classy. I would recommend you pay them a visit. read more

San Diego beer snob and Las Vegas foodie here. Excellent service, food, and beers here... was pleasantly surprised! Came in for lunch on Monday and had coconut shrimp for appetizer, then the turkey club sandwich and salmon dish entree. Everything came out fast and as ordered. Our server was very nice and checked up on us frequently. The Hazy IPA creamsicle beer was delicious! Ape Hanger Citra IPA was solid. It's unfortunate that their website menu and their in-person menu is different. We made the decision to eat there based on the menu on the website. After waiting 30 minutes for a table we were prepared to order, then informed that those items were only available online to-go. After some quick research, we were unable to locate any way to purchase our items to go. They are not social distancing at the bar either. One host told a customer to "Eat at your own risk. Maybe you can ask the person next to you." I hope someone informs the hostess that most people do not know if they are infected/infectious. #pandemic Overall customer service has not been great. Came here over the holidays for the first time (at this location) so we came with a big group. On a Monday night too, after 7:30pm, they took a little long seating us, when the restaurant was half empty. Their chicken nachos for appetizers are actually really good - should've just ordered two or three of those for dinner. Their burgers were just alright, when I have actually had better. The first time we ever dined at Strap Tank was at the Springville location and I believe that location had better food quality. I am a fan of their fish and chips, but wanted to try something different at this new location. My sister ordered their pizza, which I already knew was a mistake as you don't come to Strap Tank for pizzas. You come for the fish and chips, and normally the burgers. The pizza came out undercooked and had a super soft crust - that you couldn't even pick up a slice to eat it as it was super limp. We had it sent back and spoke to a manager. She was more than accommodating to have another one cooked. Second pizza was the same - limp and undercooked. My 3 star rating is mostly on food quality and service could be better (seating us faster in the beginning). I wouldn't come back to this location, unless someone else is paying, and solely for the view you get when seated by the windows. read more

I've seen this restaurant a couple of times traveling through the Salt Lake City area so gave it a try. I had the prime rib and crab sandwich (sort of a take on steak diane in sandwich form) with waffle fries and a pint of their stout. My wife had the fish and chips, but substituted salad, and a glass of wine. As a brewery, the stout was excellent. Very dark, rich and full flavor with a creamy head. I'd order it again. The sandwich was good, but lacked a flavor focus. Each ingredient was good on its own, but the combination just didn't come together. The primary reason for the low rating was the waffle fries. How can fries be tough?!? They were cold, tough to chew, lacked seasoning and were a major disappointment. Something so simple, frozen or fresh, should never come to the table this way. My wife enjoyed her fish, good flavor, crispy coating. And the salad was fine, nothing special or negative, just salad. Go for the beer, be selective on food. read more

Honestly I wasn't sure what to expect as I'm from out of town and my fellow co-workers wanted to find a good brewery. This place is a gem! The food is great. I got the flat iron steak and VERY pleasantly surprised. It was cooked perfectly and seasoned where it needed nothing else. I've been to places like Shulas in DC that charged way more and wasn't as good. The service is great. I had them on my first night in town and my last. It was a great experience. Neither my husband or I are big fans of strap tank brewery. I've tried a few different things and would rather go somewhere else. However, we may be the minority because a few friends/family members love it. They do have quite the variety of food on the menu so it would probably be a good option for a group as there's something for everyone. read more

Cool new industrial building made to look old with a Funky atmosphere that works. Service was OK, but could have been more attentive. We rolled in at 4pm and it wasn't busy but still waited 10 minutes to see a waitress. Other than that, the food was good. Nice selection of pizzas, sandwiches and actual entrees. Prices are reasonable considering the feel of the place and large portions. I had the Prime Rib special which was good, I personally like a stronger horseradish but it was fine and about what you'd expect most places. My wife had the Chicken Fried Chicken and she couldn't finish it because it was too big, (problem right?) Over all a solid experience, they are still pretty new so hopefully service will improve over time. read more

Recommended by our hotel clerk, we really thought the restaurant was classy, eclectic and had multiple dining spaces so no one space was too loud (sometime what craft breweries are like). Although we didn't feel the beer was the reason for return, our food was very delicious- we enjoyed the burgers and ribeye(prime rib?) French dip and the kids shared a regular pizza. We were still talking about that food a few days later. Portions are generous. read more

This place has finally worked the bugs out and it's one of our favorites these days! We have been going to the Springville location for a long time and now Lehi is up to par. We aren't drinkers but that looks like it has a good vibe if you're into it. Great Strap Tank Brewed Root Beer, fish and chips were amazing, southwestern burger is a total party and the staff was friendly with good service. Atmosphere is always great here. Love the restaurant and how they finished it. It's a really cool building with lots to look at inside. I've got motorcycles in my veins so the old Harleys on the walls and in the lobby are cool. The service the first time we went was mediocre which was surprising since it was fairly new and the second visit a few months later our waitress was a lot better. We did enjoy their beer! Looked forward to trying this place. Should have given more credence to the prior reviews. Seating was a long weight but 6:00pm on a Saturday is understand able. But after being seated the service was slow. The four of us ordered fish and chips, bacon cheese burger, prime rib sandwich and a filet mignon. We waited fir the food and we finally asked the server where our food was, it showed up once we asked him to check on the food. My filet came with a loaded baked potato, but when the plate was put before me it had mashed potatoes, why could they not inform me prior that they ran out instead of just putting mashed potatoes, which I do not like. Changed to sweet potato fries, but then cut into steak sand it was over cooked. Took way too long for a manger to show up, offered to replace meal but I honestly don't trust them to get another order correct. I left hungry snd disappointed with this restaurant. I would not come back and urge anyone looking to try it do not come in expecting good food or good service. read more

I'm not sure where these 1- to 3-star reviews are coming from, this place was great! Our server Ryan memorized our orders, and everything came out perfectly. I had the brisket sandwich, which was good - the Texas toast and the bacon really made it. The barbecue chicken pizza, though? That was REALLY good. It's not like traditional bbq chicken pizza in California. It's not as saucy, and it uses fried onion instead of red onion, but it was really good. The crust was especially good, partly because they seemed to brush it with a garlic butter, or something along those lines. If you're passing through on your way to Zion or Salt Lake City, I'd definitely give this place a shot. Give them some time to set up your table, have a hibiscus lemon drop or a blue Hawaii, take in the atmosphere, and enjoy your food. read more

Food... amazing. Service... Fantastic! Ambiance... Perfect. This place is absolutely awesome!!! My wife and I have sadly left Utah but we visited Strap Tank 6 times in our 18 month stay in SLC. In fact, our very last day in Utah we dined here to have our last meal. Literally everything about it is perfect.
