Quality going down. Hate the new hashbrowns. Still one of the best in the area, but seems to be on the decline.

This is one of those restaurants do you walk in and you're surprised. The atmosphere was amazing the service was fantastic and the food was really good I was surprised they had a bar. Everybody there was very friendly. The names on the menu are fun to read!! All the prices are very reasonable my omlette was fantastic not over cooked light and fluffy hashbrowns are good and fresh. One of those restaurants you don't feel like cooking is great to go for breakfast lunch or dinner!!! You can certainly find what you're looking for in this menu and it's just like you made it at home!!! read more

We arrived there for Sunday morning breakfast. We knew there would be a wait, but it was very organized and went quickly. I had ordered an omelet. It was supposed to have ham mushrooms onions cheese. Well, it came with all of the above and feta cheese. I don't like feta cheese, so I sent it back. It took a little bit of time to get it back, but once I did, it was very good. It also came with hashbrowns, and I got 3 large pancakes also with the omelet. Upon receiving my new omelet, it also came with more pancakes and hashbrowns. I couldn't eat pancakes again, so I gave them to someone else at the table. My husband ordered the American breakfast. It came with eggs, ham, bacon , sausage, and toast. He also ordered a coffee which we found out is ground fresh before each pot is made. He also ordered chocolate milk, which was supposed to come in a frosted glass. It did not, and he was a little disappointed in that as they were bragging about that on the menu. The coffee was great and it was truly the meaning of bottomless! All of his food was very good also. His eggs were cooked very well, and all of the meats were good and flavorful. Our friends had ordered the Ruben, and while it was tasty she did complain about the lack of French fries she had received with her order. There were not a whole lot of fries for the amount they were paying for . The sandwich and fries should have had more fries. The other person had ordered the same omelet as me and did have the feta cheese added. His was all perfect, and he loved it. All in all it was a great visit and we will be back read more

We went there for breakfast. I was so happy to hear they had fresh squeezed O.J. but I could only drink 1/2 glass as it taste like it was made with old oranges. The coffee was very good. The service was excellent. There is a wide selection of affordable items to choose from. I was looking forward to my potato pancakes but they were nothing but undercooked hash-browns...plain and simple. No taste to them, no real shape to them, and they were hard as in the hash browns weren't cooked long enough. The eggs didn't seem fresh but perhaps made from a carton or powder. The bacon was undercooked. It was a very unappetising meal, I barely ate any of it. The place was clean and well laid out with pleasant staff but the food truly was very bad...at least for what I ordered. read more

I found a place that's worth driving the extra 5 miles! Although there is some minor construction going on in this place, it did not keep me from visiting! Let's start off with the seating area. This place gave me a pub-ish type vibe not breakfast joint albeit not a bad thing. Server seated is promptly and was friendly. We did need a bit more extra time to review the menu because WOW is it extensive! Personal pet peeve but no points taken because of this. Maybe they do really cook all of these things well! Perhaps I'll frequent this place enough to find out. This place is allegedly known for great breakfast and burger specials! Both my daughter and I opted for breakfast. She got the French toast platter and I the chocolate chip pancakes. I also got it with a side of bacon. Now my opinion is that they are honestly a bit over priced but I guess if you're looking to support these types of establishments versus the typical franchise it's the way to go. First thing I noticed was that the tables were bused immediately by a young man who was standing nearby waiting to do his job. A nice and awkward feeling at the same time. On to the food, our food came out in about 10 maybe 15 minutes. My bacon was well over cooked and my daughter ordered the hash browns well done. So I think they got that confused and mixed up. The French toast was your basic FT and 2 of my 4 chocolate chip pancakes contained no chocolate chips. A disappointment to be honest but I guess they basically saved me from those extra calories hahaha. Now why the 4 stars after they were noticeably over priced and messed up our order? To be honest the food was a solid 4 and the service was a solid 4. At the end of the day the food was good and the service was good! read more

My boyfriend and I love to randomly stop in here for breakfast, the service is always good as well as the food! We also of course love the creativity with The Beatles theme that's even included in the naming of menu items, always makes us smile. This place is definitely one of our favorites! read more

One of my go-to places!! Love their food, so many options. Their breakfast is DELICIOUS. I like their mimosas and specialty drinks as well. Their sandwiches and pizza is very good as well. The only complaint I have is they are the only place around me that has crème brûlée so I order it whenever I go. Half the time they do not heat it up and serve it cold, which is not good. But usually the waitress / waiter is kind enough to go heat it when I notice. read more

After having a breakfast here, I concluded I liked the *idea* of eating their food more than actually eating it. It's a sub par restaurant with a sub par experience. The wait staff was very nice and very attentive. But that's just about the only good thing about this place. Oh their coffee is good too. I ordered their Triple Berry Crepes. They came in lukewarm. Frankly they tasted cheap. The cheese filling's consistency was gritty - it perhaps that was because my food was almost cold. The fruit tasted like they were from a freezer - I couldn't escape that distinguishable watery and un-fresh taste that frozen fruit tastes like. I had a couple bites of my wife's cinnamon raisen french toast. Meh. They tasted like a couple pieces of bread dipped in batter. French toast is supposed to take bread to another level to where you dont even realize you're eating sliced bread. The overall preparation and presentation of their dishes was lazy - like at a typical coney island / diner type place. But you can go to other restaurants and pay the same price and have a whole another breakfast food experience. The outside of the building is beautifully done. Then once you step inside, you're sort of disappointed.They theme themselves on a beetles restaurant but the experience and delivery of that theme just seemed lazily executed. After living in the Chesterfield area my entire life, I finally made it in to Strawberry Field's with my Mom the other night. As a pretty big Beatles fan, I naturally really adored the choice in decor, music, and quirky names for dishes on the menu. The menu itself is enormous. Seemed like they made just about anything you could have wanted -- a good thing, yes, but for an indecisive person like me, if was a challenge! After craving stir fry all week I decided on the chicken stir fry, while my mother opted for fish and chips. Alec, our waiter, was fairly new but he was quite accommodating and answered some of our questions. My mother's salad came our prompt while the rest of our meal showed up shortly after. My chicken stir fry was heavenly! I'm a big fan of Mongolian BBQ or my mom's stir fry but I must say .... it really hit the spot! The rice was delectable and the chicken and veggies were seasoned just to my liking. my side of onion rings were actually done well and crispy -- just like I like them. A bonus and rarity on my book! As far as the fish and chips, my Mom enjoyed those as well. For someone who isn't a big fish fan, I also enjoyed this dish as well. In short, I cannot wait to come back for dinner or grab a meal to go. The staff seemed like they loved their job and the food is good enough for me to return again. I rarely go all five stars any more....but when a place has this kinda service/ food combo....well, yeah, I'm all in. My wife, son and I all came here today, and rarely do we find that we all agree, especially on food. Today was one of those. My wife had the cheese crepes, and found them "awesome." My son had the Belgium Oreo Waffles, "splendid, but very rich" (he's a teenager folks). I myself had the French Connection french toast/egg/hash/ bacon combo, and was also quite pleased. All in all, we got out for under $33 with a ten percent off coupon (right here on Yelp), so couldn't beat it. Our waitress was great, couldn't have been more attentive. Sorely disappointed in Strawberry Fields the past couple times that I have gone. One time I went ahead and got the Cowboy Hash, which always treated me well in the past -- on this occasion, it was absolutely soaked in butter. It still tasted pretty good, but there was a major butter overload. The next time I chose to get the quesadilla because it was all that I was in the mood for ... same exact problem. The top was fine, but the bottom of my plate was a puddle of butter, and the tortilla was soaked and soggy. Again, tasted pretty decent, but the butter was entirely unnecessary. The salsa that came with it was super bleh, and no doubt from a bottle/can. I'm still a fan of Strawberry Fields, but it's been a letdown as of late. Maybe I'll have to start asking for light or no butter. read more

During my recent visit to the Midwest for a family wedding, this Southern CA resident of nearly 45 years was delighted to find such an affordable restaurant with such good food. As a plus, the wait staff was highly accommodating and friendly. In fact, the three-berry salad for $6 or $7 was one of my best meals on my trip. Had an early afternoon breakfast. Ordered a crepe special. Crepes were good except for canned whipped cream on top. Why? Is this a kid's dish or diner? The raspberries were magnificent and plentiful. The shredded dehydrated potatoes were greasy and completely without flavor (unless you count griddle grease). The bacon was deep fried until it was tasteless and gross. My companion had a hair in her potato pancake, the waitress apologized but no manager came over. That was weird. We both had poached eggs which were prepared well, so congrats on that. It was a bit disturbing to see the staff eating behind register, just inside the kitchen and in front standing at the bar in between waiting on customers. Also saw 2 young ladies redo their pony tails in the front if the house. I'm not sure who is training the staff but please tweak things a bit. I would also suggest the zillion TVs be tuned to the audience. All were on a sports game, only 2 men in restaurant and I overheard the ladies next to me complaining. read more

Great little place. My awesome wife drove me almost a full hour from Canton to surprise me by taking me to lunch at this place. I used to be a huge Beatles fan back in the day. This is standard American food but great. Good portions and there is Beatles music playing overhead and memorabilia all over the walls. Our waiter was great. Good job, Andrew!! Really 4.5 Stars!!!!! My family visited Strawberry fields today- last minute with a party of 15. Because LeAndos couldnt accommodate us. The lady on the phone was more than happy to reserve a table for us- on a Sat morning with only a 20 minute notice. As our party trickled in, everyone was politley directed to join the table. Our server Michelle T was absolutely awesome and super attentive. Everyone enjoyed the generous portions of scrumptious food. Dont sleep on the Cherry pecan pancakes and they serve a really tasty Turkey sausage patty. The veggie omelette was so stuffed with deliciousness, my Bro-n-law said it tasted as if there was meat in it! The only reason I didnt rate a 5 star is, I have to be completly WoW'd to give a 5. But that takes nothing from Strawberry Fields- this is a solid great spot for mouthwatering food and polite service. read more

Easily the best breakfast I've ever had! We were in our seats and had food on the table within ~10mins of ordering. The biscuits with gravy were incredibly fluffy, and my girlfriend's french fries were top notch. Both of us were stuffed and satisfied with a bill under $20. The men's bathroom was outstandingly clean, which shows the restaurant's level of dedication to the customer's experience. Can't wait to come back next week! read more

This is my go to place to bring friends who are in the area visiting. They have never let me down, all my friends rave about Strawberry Fields. They are jealous that I have a great restaurant so close to my home. The menu is quite extensive and I am working my way through the menu and I haven't had anything that wasn't good. I went there for breakfast and was very disappointed. Everything was so greasy and did not taste good.

Unfortunately there was a mishap with their syrup containers due to their negligence of not securing the lids. Let's just say syrup was everywhere and the majority of it was on my pants... the waitress was nice and very apologetic but I am very disappointed in the manager. She didn't come by and only gave me a 15% discount. By the time I had it all cleaned up my food was cold and soggy. Dined here 5 times Food is good. Healthy portions. Reasonable prices. But the service is consistently bad. Either the kitchen isn't working properly, the credit card machine is down, the servers are inattentive. 4 of my 5 dining experiences have suffered from bad service. I've even sat at the bar while the bartender refilled my drink only once. Only once been there during a rush. Tonight was the last straw. Again not busy at all. Someone brought a carry out order that they screwed up and that screwed everything up. Kitchen was in disarray all our food came out at different times. I'm not returning to SF anymore. read more

Eggs Benedict is poached eggs, topped with a heavenly drizzle of hollandaise sauce. It was always good at this restaurant- for years. New owners and it must be a new cook. He over cooked the eggs slightly (not too bad) then put aded a heavy drizzle of some yellow stuff that I was unable to identify. It did not taste good. Just strange, kind of bland. The hashbrowns were just short of burned on one side and could not be seperated with just a fork. I turned them over and scrapped some of the un-matted potatoes off so I could eat them.
