Had an amazing experience here! The vibe here is that it's casual but you can still dress up and not feel out of place. The service was great! Our server was helpful, friendly, and very attentive to our table. I had a lemon drop martini but wasn't trying to be carried out of here so I switched to a mojito. Both drinks were great! My fiancé had a fat tire beer and enjoyed it! For apps we got the braised short rib flat bread (but just the meat and mozzarella cheese) and buffalo wings. Both were delicious. **Two recommendations: I would order the flat bread with a little BBQ drizzled on top and when ordering the wings I would order them well done (I read a review about them not being cooked enough so we got them well done and they were perfect!) For our entrees I had the steak and potatoes (sub the loaded potato for the roasted potatoes) with a side of spinach and he had shrimp and grits. Both entrees were great!!!!! Like truly delicious !!! We would get them again. And we're chubby so we got dessert! We ordered the brownie Sundae and GOD IT WAS GOOD !!!! Oh my gosh, what a great way to end our dinner! I went to Striper Bites for lunch with my husband last week and we both enjoyed it. He ordered a Crab Cake Burger and I grabbed a Black Bean Burger. The place was really quiet and the staff were very welcoming and the food was delivered without any delay. The canoe and boat decor adds up to the subtle beach-ish ambience. read more

Wow, was I surprised. We went here because The Wharf was closed,... so we didn't expect too much. The interior is one of the most interestingly decorated restaurant atmospheres I've been in-- with a very quaint and tasteful nautical theme. The bar looks like a place I'd like to hang out with fish tanks, and there's a beautiful patio out front, that unfortunately does not have a water view. The food was great! I had an impeccable seared tuna with seaweed salad and a sort of crunchy chip which created a very nicely contrasting texture with the soft tuna. The presentation is what I'd expect from a Michelin 3 star (top rated) restaurant. My lunchmate had delicious curried chicken salad sandwich--unfortunately though the bread wasn't very good and it was too much bread. If you're from the restaurant may I recommend naan bread instead to continue the indian theme. Many people were eating the lobster sandwich that looked fabulous--next time. read more

Striper Bites has become our favorite local restaurants. We go often, the food is always good and the service is excellent. Every once in a while it is even better. The last time we were there with friends I had the absolute best rockfish dinner I think I've ever had. I first want to say that the food at Striper Bites was fabulous. The service was good. My wife and I shared the house salad, which was a great mix of refreshing, salty and a little crunch. Almost perfect. She had the Rockfish fish board Lewes style. Highly recommend. I had the blackened tuna fra diavolo. Tuna cooked to perfection. Pasta a little overdone. Sauce good. The big issue. Why only four stars. We waited about 30 minutes to get a seat outdoors. When we responded to our table being ready we were told there had been a mix-up. The mix-up apparently was that two locals had decided to get a drink and sit at the outside seating and then when they were told there table was ready they said they preferred outdoor dining. The hostess apparently told them they could not sit outside but they refused to leave. The manager was called but let them stay iin our seats for some reason. We waited another half hour and finally got seated. We got comped drinks and were good sports about the whole thing. Hopefully the manager will read this and realize he has the authority to tell someone "what for" if they don't follow their direction. Stick to your guns or the other staff won't respect you either. read more

Had dinner there on Wed., July 27, 2011 - -hostess was dressed like she just came off the beach with short shorts and flip flops and an attitude...we stood waiting for a table for 45 minoutes whith half the tables in the restaurant empty, then were seated and waited for a half hour to be served to find dinner overcooked. read more

Went here for lunch today and expected the decor to match the food and service. The menu was limited but that didn't deter us from staying. The waitress was friendly and we placed our orders. The food took forever to come out and the presentation was weak. My boyfriend had the pork sandwich which he said was good but the fish tacos were subpar for the price. The service fell off after a while and by the end we were just ready to leave. Expected more but sometimes the food doesn't match the decor. read more

Small place with outdoor seating in the front of the restaurant. Bar area with TVs they have a light menu prior to dinner service that has some good nuggets on it! Dinner they have a variety of Delicious items from salads, to burgers, and some seafood! I had the shrimp and grits.....wow amazing! This review is for the lunch menu. We opted for lunch because crab cake sandwiches are available at lunch only, and that's what half of our party wanted. The food was very good, including a hefty burger cooked perfectly. However, the summer salad was extremely small and unsatisfying--just a half-cup of quinoa and a thinly sliced strawberry over a huge plate with a few greens. Though it's a nice atmosphere, the slide show of fish catches was off-putting to one member of our group, in particular the bloody catches/gutting photos. Not great for dining atmosphere. read more

It's a cool place that I could see being a fun hang out spot in the summer. I ordered the fish tacos and my husband got the Oyster Po' Boy. Both dishes needed salt. The mahi mahi in the fish taco was overcooked and slathered with an enormous amount of sour cream.... however the oysters were fried well, they were very tender.
