I usually order Subway for my girlfriend since we're in a long-distance relationship--she's in California and I'm in South Dakota. This time, I accidentally sent the order to the wrong location. My girlfriend and I tried calling the store several times before they made the sandwich, but no one picked up. She ended up going to the store to ask for a refund or at least exchange the sandwich (since I ordered something spicy and she doesn't like spicy food). The employee said she couldn't do anything because the manager wasn't there to approve it, and she was the only one working. Which seems odd to me--shouldn't there always be at least two people on shift at any job? And regardless of if the manager is there or not shouldn't you pick up the phone. read more

I have several dogs all trained and on 4 foot leash. I ordered a sandwich and was eating it in front of the restaurant on the side. Not blocking entrance . Within minutes an individual identified as store owner came bothered me saying the dogs might be potentially intervening other customers. He is not friendly and talked with a hostile attitude. This Subway continues to be a let down. I came in for lunch and again waited about 20 minutes from start to finish when there were only about 5 people ahead of me. They move very slow here. While making the sandwich, the "sandwich maker" was being very stingy with the lettuce, onions, etc. Once I got home I discovered that the bread was not fresh and tasted over cooked. The place is near the beach. It has air conditioning, so after get tired and hot after hours under the sun, it is nice to have an affordable, fresh, and delicious lunch. All the employees are young, fast and kind. We have placed a small platter order a day before and it was ready with freshly baked still warm cookies. I really do hate giving one stars, but after you hear this story, you will know why... I walked in on a Tuesday around 11:00 a.m. to get a 5$ footlong, no harm, no foul. There were two girls behind the counter, the first made my sandwich, fine, the whole time, the 2nd girl was chatting up some dude, showing her his phone, saying she falls in love easy, doing absolutely no work. The girl who made the sandwich (and did well!) handed it to the second girl after she had to say her name three times to get her attention (I do remember her name, but I don't wana sell her down the river in case her manager reads this). The dude she was talked to said goodbye and she rang me up... As I was getting out my cash, her boss came out and gave her a clip board and said "here, at least now you go do something while you're doing nothing", and she responded with "What! I've been working the whole time"... She looks at me and says "tell him I've been working and not wasting time". Now, I am not I liar, so the manager shoot me I look, and I just stood there and looked right back at him... He finally walked away. She rang me up, I said thank you and walked out... As I was walking out, she yells to me, "don't ever come back either" and chuckled afterwards... Will I come back here in the future? This is a small subway that hires kids with no supervision to run the place. I never go here because of the quality and the service so literally drive to another subway instead of walking to this one because that's how bad it is but today took the cake and sold me on never coming here again! First, the guy behind the counter seemed stoned out of mind and couldn't remember the meat that came on a CHICKEN BACON ranch melt. I had to remind him. Then they allowed a customer to come in without a mask who clearly does not understand what 6 feet apart means. But when you see the employees come into the store itself and walk behind with the food with no mask, it's clear why they don't say anything: THEY WERE NOT WEARING MASK IN THE STORE OR BEHIND THE COUNTER.
