I've been here quite a few times now since my gf lives in the apartments across the street. Always friendly workers and it's never too busy even during lunch time. Clean bathrooms as well which is always a bonus. Also, there was no tax on the sandwiches which was nice. It would be $5 or $6 exactly. Some Subways charge and I end up paying $5.15 or something but here I didn't have to. At the end of the day though, it is still just a subway and the sandwiches aren't that crazy good or anything. Maybe it's because I've had so many of them ;-p

Proof of my visit, just wish I got that female employees name...

By far the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I had called originally to complain about a sandwich I had just ordered, that was so soggy it was falling apart and wanted to come in and get a remake - as I live right outside the shopping centre, so I could literally walk there in 3 minutes from my home. But before I even had the chance to ask if I can come back in, I was met with a sassy attitude from a female employee (dark hair, black rim glasses) who tried convincing me that the reason why my sandwich was soggy was because it was extra toasted. What sense does that make? (Now I normally don't like complaining, nevertheless being confrontational in any way. But the fact of the matter was that my food was unfit for consumption. I mean, sure, I guess I could've stuck a straw right in the middle of it and called it a day - but I paid nearly $10 for mush, something that was supposed to be a crispy delectable sandwich. So I was not having this) I couldn't help but laugh at that ridiculous statement and told this employee that I have in fact, made sandwiches before, and that's not how food works. I told her I would be coming back in for a remake, and I was swiftly hung up on. Boy, I can tell you in all my years working in customer service - be it retail or the food service industry - I have never treated a paying customer with such disrespect. So I ended up driving the whole 30 seconds back there, and instead asked for a refund. I told the apologetic gentleman at the register, who made my sandwich btw, that he had no reason to be sorry. That it was the customer service I received over the phone that prompted me to change my mind about supporting this establishment. Such a shame though because it is so conveniently close to myself and my family, that we all could've eaten there often :/ ******************update****************** The store manager contacted me today (9/11/2017) to advise me that the employee was identified and will be given further customer service training. Which is okay, I guess that's all they can do?? But like I said, I have worked in customer service for 10 years now and have never treated a customer so poorly - in my opinion this employee is just not suited to work with the public and I hope the company keeps a watchful eye on her behavior.

Seating is limited and parking may be hard to find at times, but the area is nice and I don't mind walking a little to the place. Every time my partner and I enter, we are greeted with kindness and joy. The owner, who I believe prepares all the orders, is an amazing person. She has passion for what she does and she goes above and beyond each time. The spot itself is nice and has its own charm. It is clean and well maintained. The Peel has many items to choose, from smoothies to açaí bowls to even sandwiches. They offer a discount for students as well who may be in the area. My favorite part is being able to build your own smoothie or açaí bowl. Their ingredients are fresh, natural, and sustainably sourced. They even offer toppings I've never seen other places offer, such as bee pollen. There are plenty of varieties to choose from. From the type of milk, to the type of yogurt, to the type of toppings, they have it all. After going to The Peel many times now and trying out a variety of creations my mind can come up with, I was pleased with each order I made. The pricing is even fairly reasonable, especially for the quality and service you are getting. This is by far my favorite smoothie/açaí bowl spot and I will be coming back. The Peel proves that you can achieve great quality and service with fair pricing. If you want a natural and refreshing drink or bowl, this is the place. To my knowledge, no military nor first responder discount offered.

For my bases I had: acai, coconut, and banana cocoa. SO YUM! I don't think they allow sampling here of their bases since the establishment expects you to order on their computers rather than a person. No complaints! Beautiful and super clean in here. :-)

We came on a weekend and it was super busy (as it should be honestly with how amazing the food and service are). We got the blackened salmon with penne pasta and baby potatoes, and the flat iron steak with bow tie pasta and herb brown rice. The steak was cooked perfectly medium. The bow tie pasta is served cold and has a vinegary flavor to it, definitely a distinct taste, but I personally loved it because I enjoy sour/vinegary flavors. I can see why it might not be everyone's favorite though, but I personally really enjoyed it. The salmon was also super flavorful and cooked perfectly. Same with the penne pasta and potatoes. Honestly everything was just made really well and good. For the sauce, we got their popular jalapeno garlic sauce and it paired well with absolutely everything. Needless to say, this place was really good from head to toe. I also got to meet the owner and he was super friendly too. I seriously wish they would open one closer to my area. Parking was really easy and the ambience was lively with sports playing all around the bar and plenty of seating.

My personal favorite is the blackened salmon with the penne pasta base. Sauce is always hard to choose and I end up picking a different one every time (haven't been disappointed yet!). Overall, Dr Grubb's gets an 8/10, with a 10/10 on the post-workout meal scale!

There's only two entry points to the restaurant, and the roads could be fixed. The parking is located in the back of the restaurant. I had come in with colleagues to get breakfast here. All four of us had decided to order their Good Morning Burrito which came with your choice of a side, pico de gallo, and sour cream. My choice of side was their hash browns. I had also ordered a caramel latte to go with my meal. When the food came out, I was fairly excited to eat. Yet, within my first bite of the hash browns, I was immediately disappointed. It tasted like crunchy nothing. There wasn't any seasoning on their hash browns, so I had to douse it in ketchup, salt, and pepper. I then took a bite out of my burrito, and this time I was surprised; the burrito was extremely bland. No seasoning or flavor. Not even a pinch of salt. When I used the green sauce and sour cream with it, it didn't make my burrito any better. My meal was lackluster and disappointing. The latte also wasn't the best; I couldn't taste the coffee in it. I don't think I'd come back to this restaurant. The servers were sweet, but inconsistent with their billing and weren't consistent with how they talked to us and gotten our orders. Their food wasn't good and it's a bit difficult to park here. The interior was also lacking, but I can assume this place is just a regular, long term, local restaurant that has become a part of the neighborhood's routine.

Some Crust on the Claremont Village is still my go-to place for specialty cakes…read more I ordered a 65th birthday cake for my coworker a week ago Tuesday in person. Devin helped me to fill out the order form. It's a 9 inch round black and white cake, with raspberry jam filling and buttercream frosting. My coworker is stylish and always has her hair makeup and nails perfect so I thought elegant with pink and white roses. (The gold Happy Birthday candle I added for 3D effect and was not included.) I scheduled for 7 a.m. pickup today. There was the usual morning rush at the bakery but I was still in and out of there within 15 minutes. It turned out great!! My coworker was super happy and as always the cake itself is moist and delicious, not overly sweet. Well done, Some Crust, and thank you!

We had the absolute BEST experience with Some Crust Bakery for our wedding cake and desserts…read more Everyone we worked with was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they truly LISTENED to what we wanted. They sent us several mock-ups with colors and design styles throughout the process so we could see and approve of every little detail. We did two rounds of tastings (one at the shop and another at home) and coordinating the second round to finalize our flavors was super easy. Also, they coordinated directly with our florist to incorporate live flowers that perfectly matched the butter cream florals on the cake and the flowers on my dress. Another bakery (Cucamonga Cakery... yikes) told us this would be impossible and tried to make us feel dumb for wanting it. Some Crust made it happen EASILY. They brought our vision to life and the cake was seriously stunning! And the taste is so light and fresh! Special shoutout to Gabrielle for her quick responses, positive attitude, and overall amazing service throughout the entire process. She took care of us every step of the way. Thank you!!
