    Teriyaki Chicken Salad

First time I ever went I got the shrimp tempura roll, and it made me fall in love with sushi (eel sauce specifically). But I got the chicken teriyaki salad since everyone was hyping it up, and while it's a great portion and definitely wasn't bad, it is not as great as everyone claims. The chicken is good but kinda small and the dressing isn't strong. If that's for you, you'll like this! Again - not bad by any means, but you're not missing out if you don't get it.

Decently priced, pretty basic sushi place. Which actually I can appreciate cause everything out this way is so overpriced. The sushi rolls were good...we stayed pretty simple. Same with the sushi sandwiches. Salad was good but could've used a little more flavor in the chicken (just ask for extra dressing or sauce) and the chicken Karage was actually great. It's like Asian boneless wings. I'd go back for sure. Mainly I just wanted to get an updated menu out there cause they don't have a website....which BAFFLES ME. All the best.

I am not sure why there are some recent negative reviews. I have been coming here for years and have only had positive experiences. The Tuna Sandwich draws me back every time. It is really amazing. So thankful that this place exists. There really aren't many sushi spots to go to in the Hamptons. This restaurant is small and gets really packed in the summer (like every good restaurant out there).

Don't waste your time! It's almost impossible to get thru by phone but Sunday night we did. We had been trying for weeks we were so excited. We have gotten take out and eat in many times before COVID and it was always excellent. Monday's food was a DISGRACE. The lettuce for the Chicken Teriyaki Salad was wilted and brown, the bean sprouts were rotten. The Yakisoba noodles were dried out, no sauce, and partially burnt. The shrimp tempura roll looked like something from the grocery store and the shrimp tasted bad. Then the Suki Zuki Roll had browned avocado and was so small with so little rice wrapped around you could clearly see the seaweed wrapper. I realize times are tough right now but this was gross. AND forget trying to call to complain of course I have never gotten thru again. $60 worth of food that ended up in the trash. HUGE Disappointment.

The waitress was nice but there was a problem, he charged two other things that we never ordered on the check, we realized only after I paid, and tipped him 20% of that total amount!! we proceeded to tell him and pointed the items that were never order by us and he said you guys are absolutely right that's a mistake, he took the check back to cancel and redo the payment, he only took 1 of the items off and left the tip that was for the old total! So not only he made a mistake twice but he also had the audacity to leave the old tip from the old total on the new check with only one item removed!!! Will never go back to this place! Please double check your bill when you go there and make sure that you order everything that is in there.

I am giving this 2 stars because the sushi was fine but nothing to write home about. Annoying they gave us the smallest amount of ginger and soy sauce for several roles and were annoyed when I asked for more. 2. We ordered the vegetable stir fry and red Thai curry and they are basically the same. The red Thai curry has that sauce soaked in the rice under the veggies. The curry sauce was bland and not good and the veggies in both dishes were sort of flavorless and just tasted like sesame oil. Maybe the meat is better?

In fact, one of the reasons I decided to leave a very positive review is that I really enjoyed everything, except some of the appetizers- their empanadas were disappointing. The cocktails and calamari were really good! I think it's some of the best calamari I've had in a very long time. Ambience - Overall very open and airy. The bar can get a little crowded - it's easy to get stuck between the bar and the room partition located right behind it. There's a nice outdoor space and even though the restaurant is located along a busy road, once inside, it's completely relaxed & open. I like way they designed the main space. Both inside as well as the outdoor space. The outdoor lighting imparts an uplifting yet relaxing mood. Finally, even the bathrooms were well planned (they included a small sink within one of the bathroom stalls, although towels to dry your hands were gone by the time I made it there). The bathroom has nice relaxing lighting too, several stalls and plenty of space. That's an important feature - some of the local restaurants only have one bathroom or the stalls are very small and close together. Blu mar's are spacious & classy. The large open parking lot was another plus. Very convenient. The people who work here were friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my time here.

The meatball app was ok. The lobster app was overcooked. The linguine vongole tasted like salt. The portion was also very small. The paccheri pesto rosso was even worse. The lobster was so overcooked it was inedible. The amount of salt was insane. It also had like 8 pieces of pasta. $44 for salt, rubbery lobster, 3 small shrimp, and a few pieces of pasta is wild. The ribeye was good, but the potatoes that came with it tasted weird. Not sure how you mess up mashed potatoes. The sea bass was ok, not great, not terrible. So everything ranged from ok to terrible. Can't in good conscience recommend this to anyone

Topping Rose House, Bridgehampton: Culinary Highs and Service Lows…read moreRating: (Food: 9.5 | Service: 6) Topping Rose House remains a bit of a Bridgehampton enigma. As a spot we find ourselves returning to a couple of times a year, the kitchen continues to operate at a gold standard, even when the front-of-house seems to be stuck in a bit of a fog. The Food: A Seasonal Symphony If you are coming strictly for the palate, you will not be disappointed. The freshness of the ingredients is palpable: * Oysters: These were pristine--served icy cold and exceptionally fresh. The mignonette was the standout here; perfectly balanced and bright, it elevated the oysters rather than masking them. * Pea Soup: This was a revelation. It tasted as if the peas had been picked just yesterday; it was vibrant, "green," and utterly delightful. * Lobster Roll: While it was admittedly small in stature (especially for the price point), the execution was flawless. It was bright, crunchy, and avoided the heavy mayo-trap that many local spots fall into. The Service: A Comedy of Errors Unfortunately, the gap between the kitchen and the dining room was wide during this visit. While our waitress was personally lovely, the actual mechanics of the service were incredibly frustrated: * Timing Issues: We were offered bread at the start of the meal, yet it didn't grace the table until we were finished eating. * The Water Gap: Our sparkling water sat empty for far too long. Refills were offered, but like the bread, they arrived only after the meal had concluded. * Lack of Proactivity: There was no offer for drink refills throughout the courses. * Accountability: Most disappointing was the lack of acknowledgment. Mistakes happen, but a simple "I'm so sorry for the delay" goes a long way. Instead, the lapses were never addressed or accounted for. The Verdict: Topping Rose House serves some of the most phenomenal, fresh food in the Hamptons. However, when you're paying Bridgehampton prices, you expect the service to match the caliber of the kitchen. We'll likely be back because the pea soup and oysters are hard to quit, but we'll be crossing our fingers for a more attentive experience next time. mi

I couldn't believe he was only 19 years old, very professional. I ordered the Cucumber Fizz, which I honestly hated. I don't think I've sent a cocktail back in years, but it wasn't a proper gin fizz at all. It just tasted really muddy and was missing some citrus. My girlfriend got a glass of Whispering Angel which came out very cold and she enjoyed. We ordered the 30 grams of caviar for $148. The caviar itself was very tasty and came on ice. I didn't love the crème fraîche, it was missing some onion or chive on the side (granted, that wasn't stated on the menu, so that's okay because it came how it was intended). However, I was NOT happy with the blinis. They weren't tasty, they were all different shapes and sizes, some had crusty edges, some had curled-up edges. They just didn't look like there was much care put into them, especially for the price. We also shared the lamb- ordered it medium. Two of the pieces came out well done, and one medium. Yes, the sauce was tasty, but the meat, again, for the price, was just not cooked correctly. I was starving at that point, so I told him not to worry about it and that they didn't have to make it again. Our waiter was great though, offered to send out a new one but we declined because we needed to get going. Also shared the squash blossom quesadilla which I was psyched for. I love squash blossoms, but there was just wayyyy too much cheese in it, not enough seasoning. I get that it's a quesadilla, but the cheese was overwhelming. The jalapeño sauce also didn't really go with it for my preference. Overall, this experience just did not even come close to being what we thought it would be. They did take 2 drinks off the bill to offset the well-done lamb, very nice and for sure appreciated it. But overall, I would never come back. Made sure I tipped our waiter 30% because none of the issues were with service. But blah! The ambiance is pretty both inside & outside but absolutely skip this place. Every dish was missing something. Expected more from a JG spot....
