Sully's location is really great! Right in the middle of Star. The inside area is small and has about 4-5 tables and a large bar. Definitely where the locals love to get their drink on. Unfortunately the bar is only able to handle drinks they know. It took us over 30 minutes to get our drinks, 1 which was on their cocktail menu and they had trouble making a whiskey sour with egg-white foam. This was mid-week around 3 pm or so. So if you want drinks quick make sure you only order a beer. The waitress did seem like she wanted to please us but was not attentive. She never made eye contact and pretty much just avoided our table in general. 2 other larger parties that sat down after us, got drinks faster, food faster and were in and out. Took over an hour to get 1 hamburger. I was the only one hungry so we just ordered 1 and (let me repeat) over an hour!!! The fries were good but the meat tasted odd like it was old. We sat in the patio and it is covered with a gas fire place barrel which looked awesome and gave great warmth. Looked like in the summer they have space for live music which would be fun to go watch and drink. But make sure you only order beer so it doesn't take all day. read more

Its not a bad place, its just that the service is severely lacking. We visited last week and the server brought out the wrong order. We ordered a bowl of stew with a side of fries, and we got what looked to be a cup of soup and a sandwich. The server wasn't exactly on top of things, and when he did refill our water, he spilled it onto my keys. I am not fond of how places are catering to those who wish to bring their dogs with them, but I do not go out to eat to hear someones dog bark relentlessly the whole time. At one point our server petted the dog up close, rubbing with both hands. I have my doubts that he bothered to wash them before serving anyone their food. It will be a while before we try them again. I wanted to love this small town tavern we went on a Sunday night and it was quiet a bit dark inside but it's a bar. I had fish & chips and the fish was soggy and definitely reheated; fish pieces small. I could barely eat it. Fries just meh. My husband liked his french dip; a bit bland. I think this place is good for drinking and having fun and not a gourmet experience. So I gave it 3 stars for being exactly what I expected. Staff were friendly and may be good in summer on outdoor patio. But don't go here if you are hungry. read more

I would leave a 0 star review if I could. This place has gone DOWN HILL. We ordered the French dip and a burger for pick up around 7pm. When we arrived we were met with nothing but rude terrible customer service and lazy attitudes. Not only that but the French dip came withOUT ajou which is half the order. French DIP They also put mushrooms on the French dip which isn't how it's displayed on the menu, and never while eating their French dip previously has it had mushrooms. I HATE mushrooms. When we called to inform them they forgot the ajou they were rude and hung up. Don't waste ur time coming here, $27 for half of the messed up French dip, and a burger is outrageous. read more

Just had to leave this place. We had my family of 5 and walked in to see two 4 topper tables in close proximity to each other. Wide open space in the middle of the restaurant where any table would have been six feet from anyone if pushed together. I told the host we had five and could just push the two tables together. He said we couldn't do that. I asked why and he said just because. I asked to see the manager and said that the manager was already asked and said no. We turned and left. He was shocked. As we were leaving two young women entered and sat at one table. So he'd rather make forty bucks than the $130.00 we spent that night down the road. Made a random stop here today for lunch and I'm glad we did. Had the grilled pastrami sandwich served with fries. Hoagie roll was soft and chewy, veggies were all fresh and the pastrami had a great flavor and was warm with melted Swiss cheese. Fries were served hot and were honestly perfectly cooked. Husband had the steak and bleu cheese sandwich. Only complaint was that some of the sandwich was lacking some of the bleu cheese crumbles but he said he would get it again. Meat was tender and well seasoned. We followed it with two pieces of cheesecake, chocolate and berry. They were oversized pieces and had a rich dense texture. I'd go back just for the fries and cheesecake again in a heartbeat. Wait staff was great. It was busy but we didn't feel like we were ignored or waited too long for service. This is a fun Irish pub in the little town of Star. If you are a sports fan, there are several TVs on the wall playing your favorite games. They have beer and cocktails. The food was tasty. The portions are large so we will probably split something the next time we go. read more

I ordered the salmon salad, and while the salmon was cooked to my taste (rare) it was underseasoned and bland, and I found the dressing lackluster,like a bottled vinegarette. Some toppings were wrong for the dish. While the brussel sprouts and carmelized onion were nicely cooked with a slight char to them, their greens were a poor choice and didn't do much for the dish, and tomatoes a poor choice due to being out of season so they lacked flavor. I ordered the chicken basket, and it arrived quickly and came with delicious battered fries. The chicken was tender and excellent, and although I had ordered the garlic fries and got regular fries instead, I wasn't disappointed with the regular fries! Our hostess noticed that I didn't get my garlic fries, and insisted on fixing that for me even though I told her the fries were excellent and it was ok as is. cute place- amazing patio! so big and spacious with horse shoes and string lights- I can imagine it gets busy here in the summer! came in for lunch on a friday. the clam chowder is DELICIOUS and I highly recommend it! so much bacon...yum. we were feeling gluttonous so we ordered the fish and chips basket and the calamari. the fish is halibut and it is melt in your mouth incredible. the cocktail sauce is spicy and the tarter is completely home made...i'm pretty sure they even make their own mayo for it! I always want to love this place. We have tried it multiple times and it fails each time. The first time the food took forever and when it finally came it was cold. The second time for lunch was okay mostly the cold beer made it better. The third time the shrimp cocktail appetizer took 1.5 hours to come. The last time was the final straw the Shepard's pie was weird, had a gross flavor and the meat was super large meatballs. Refills of our drinks took forever and it was just really disappointing. The burger was delicious and the rings were perfect. Family members had the Irish Sausage and the Sully's Burger. Everything was good. The restaurant is clean and nice decor. The only negative would be the long wait for the food to arrive, but it appears Sully's is dealing with the same issue and many businesses are now..lack of workers.
