I work around the corner from Sultan at the Int'l Jewelry center and this is one of my favorite Mediterranean spots in DTLA. From the perfect rice, to the fresh and delicious Foul Moudammas plate ( one of my faves), the half chicken plate, the shawarma....They know how to cook chicken. It's all so flavorful. The service is impeccable and they always great you with a smile. We order for delivery a lot so they know our voice and what we like. This place is mainly hidden in plain sight, especially if you're driving by, but the sidewalk is self is usually a lot of congestion and people moving about on a slimmer sidewalk, so you're mainly just motoring by to avoid people and things and can easily miss the place, but you should make a point to stop and try it out. Not only does Sultan have the best service they have the highest quality Mediterranean food in downtown Los Angeles. I've been coming here for a while and never really left a review and this is long overdue . I am a big fan of their ribeye steak plate and their lamb chop plate . Their Shawarma and gyros are excellent if you're looking to get something fast in terms of a sandwich. They have excellent pricing and also a large variation of drink drinks . 5 Stars all the way! I won't order again. Called at 12:20pm. Order delivered at 1:10pm. I'm one block away. And my half chicken plate arrived lukewarm. It had been 6mo since I last tried to place an order. Once again, after waiting 40+ min in my last incident, I called and asked. She said "it's here, we'll send it right away." Another 30 min later, I call asking where my order is. okay wait... why is this place actually SO good like it's one of those lowkey downtown spots that doesn't look crazy fancy, but the FOOD?? insane. the chicken is sooo juicy and flavorful, like actually seasoned properly (which is rare lol). the rice, hummus, pita combo??? comfort food but still feels fresh and not heavy. what I love is that the menu is kinda everything, you can get Mediterranean plates, kabobs, wraps, even tacos... and somehow it all works?? it doesn't feel random, just like a place that knows how to cook good food no matter what you order. also it just has that chill, casual vibe where you can go when you're starving and know you're about to eat GOOD. I ordered three Combo kabob plate $25 each to go. When my son was eating it. He felt pain and that something got stuck in his palate and spit the food. We found a sharp wire. I called the restaurant right away and the person who answered said that they were aware that there was a wire on the rice but they didn't know were. They saw the wire coming out and figured it out it was on the rice, so that they were aware that someone was going to call them to let them know. He then offered at $8 discount on my next purchase or a new plate of rice. I was mad if he had eaten if we could have ended in the hospital. But they knew and did not care. juicy chicken and beef kebabs, with a really nice char on the chicken especially! great value for the combo plate, it was two lunches for me. the rice is flavorful and not dry or wet. we waited around 20 minutes for our food when we ordered upon arrival during the lunch rush, so i recommend ordering ahead if you're in a rush! you may need to keep an eye on the tables to ensure one opens up, but they seem to open up frequently. it was a bit hot in here when it was about 78 degrees outside (not sure if AC is an option), but the food is delicious. curious about the $20 ribeye steak (where else in the city could you find such a deal? please lmk if you have recs). ambience is very casual, come in your stretchy pants because i was very full after lunch! bathroom was out of order when we came, and don't expect to find metered parking around here either unless you're extremely lucky or you park in a paid lot. read more

Attitude by the lady as if I walked in there asking for free food, then their employee walks in late because there was an accident outside and lots of firefighters outside but he started yelling at him infront of customers very rudely and dehumanizing. Food is good though but I 100% don't support people who treat employees like they're less than human let a lot treat customers poorly. Ohh my gosh! I would've never thought just looking at it from the outside. It's true what they say don't judge a book by it's cover because sometime the little hole in the wall are the best!! I ordered the number 3 combination kabob chicken and beef platter and the half rotisserie chicken. In total I spent $31.31. It was a decent amount of food. The flavors were POPPINNN IN MY MOUTH! That kabob chicken and beef... I'm gonna have dreams about it! The rotisserie chicken was fresh but I wasn't loving it. Both came with a side of rice which was delicious. Staff were really nice!!! I honestly love thir food and have been coming here regularly since my office is close by. But my experience yesterday made me write this review. Usually, we pay between 80-110 per visit since I bring my staff for lunch. They always had been very nice and acknowledged our order since most of the time.is the same. They take a long time to prepare the food, which I don't mind since it's freshly made. Yesterday, we decided to order online to gain time since we were in a time constraint. When we arrived, they told me that they didn't have any online order. We insisted since we had a confirmation of the prepaid order. The host proceeded to say that we should "have call" instead of the online order and that the prices were off. ( its their website) she was not apologetic for their mistake and told me that I owe her 5 dollars ??? I didn't bring any purse since we already prepaid the order, so they told me NOT to take the drinks to compensate for the magic 5 dollars ??? Drinks were more than 5 dollars, but it was mostly the principle. I paid what your website charged me. If you don't want online orders, then disable that feature from your page I had been a long-time customer, but the way they treated me was unacceptable. Making me feel like I am stealing from them in front of other customers for 5 dollars that they decide I have to pay in addition to the payment.on the internet, it's not.ok. Then they started to argue about us in another language,in front of a line of customers, which was pretty rude They never apologized and instead told me that we would need to wait another 20 plus minutes since they never prepared the order that they got paid online. I waited because we had already paid and were hungry with a time constraint, but for 5 dollars, they lost a customer. I didn't want any charity. Our tip is always between 15-20%. What happened yesterday was bizarre and not a good customer service. While walking to the bus stop i came across this place. The girl taking my order, recommended the vegetable kebab and on the side, some falafel. i took it back to work and wow! I really really enjoyed the food every little bit of it the vegetables were grilled and had this great seasoning. The carrots were so sweet. The rice was amazing with the hummus, and I mixed it with the salad that it came with the salad with lemony. The falafel was different. Had a little spice, but I liked it better than I've ever tried any other falafel. I will definitely be back or order by phone and have it delivered, but it was so worth it. Dropped in while I was in downtown LA. This is a nice little spot with an authentic middle eastern/Lebanese menu. When you walk in, you're greeted by the family. The cool thing is that they treat you like family from the minute you walk in. They talk to you like they've know you forever. When you order, you can see the food being made right in front of you.
