Sultan's Livermore location has a full bar and a DJ as well on the weekends (atleast Saturday). The food is at the same bar as their Pleasanton location. Limited options for the vegetarians but the falafel work pretty well. The staff is friendly and after you place your order at the counter, they bring the food to you. Love the desserts, so I always pick some on my way out.

I came to Sultan's Kebab on a Sunday afternoon. I ordered a beef wrap which came with a salad. The beef was well seasoned and the veggies were fresh. My friend had a chicken pate. The portions of my plate were average. It is a pretty restaurant inside. There is a red sauce on the table which has a kick to it. I recommend trying this restaurant if you are looking for a healthy meal. Service is not like a sit down ambiance but the restaurant looks like it could be that way. You order at the front, put a number at your table and they serve you :)

Beautiful ambiance lots of plants and florals for a natural vibe Opted for the combo shwarma (chicken and lamb defaults) over salad. This was the lighter option instead of a plate which comes with rice. Hot sauce and cream sauce is separate so you can add your own to your heart's content The Turkish delights look amazing, so colorful and lots of flavors. Can buy a sample set that comes in a nice box for about $16 if you want to try

This is the third Sultan's Kebab location we have been to. It is our understanding that each Sultan's Kebab is owned by a different family member(?), and they certainly all have a little bit of differences in menu offerings and taste. We came for a weekend dinner. The decor and mood has definitely a modern feel and vibe. There is plenty of interior and outdoor patio dining. Service is typical of others. Pretty straightforward and nothing overly notable. Food arrived fairly quick. We ordered our usual, the Sultan's burger. This was probably the worst of all three locations we've been to. There was very little flavor and the fries were not crisped enough. We also chose two other unique dishes we have not seen before at the other locations. The Pide with half chicken and half ground lamb/beef is essentially a pizza. While the chicken meat was was moist and full of flavor, the ground lamb and beef was disappointing as it had a very herby taste to it that we did not like particularly. The Lahmacun was essentially a flatbread with similar ground lamb and beef. Again, this was not really to our liking. Given this food experience, we will definitely not return to this location and choose instead to go to our favorites elsewhere.

Under the same ownership of Sultan's Kebab and Falafel in Danville, I knew the food was going to be great! Located on the corner of 1st St & Maple in Livermore, there was ample parking on the side. This location is bigger and spacious than the Danville location, with a touch of Christmas lights for the holidays. Also has more offerings too. Ordered a combination plate, wrap, lamb casserole and a Chz & Pastirma Pide (flatbread pizza). For dessert, had Kunefe and a variety of Turkish Delights. Everything was made to order and food was fresh and delicious! The guys at behind the counter were very helpful in explaining some dishes, even suggest to delay the Kunefe it would served warm. What I also like about this place is that they have bottomless self-serve tea, which we took advantage of to command the cold weather. Highly Recommend if ever in the Livermore Area!

I wanna start off by saying, I really don't like Thai, Indian, German, or Turkish food. HOWEVER, this food was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent and pleasant, and I highly enjoyed the ambiance with a mixture of music choices, from American to Turkish. My Turkish friend ordered the Iskender Kabab and allowed me to try some, and it was sooo good!! I ordered some Pita with Hummus and it's the best I've ever had. For dessert she ordered some Kunefe (very interesting dessert) and I had a cinnamon milk roll, and tried some dubai chocolate for the first time!! I will be taking my bf here in the future.

We came on a cold day so sat inside for the first time in a booth, and it was nice! Food was amazing, the portion sizes are always very generous and the lamb shank is SO GOOD when you just want some warm soupy meaty meal. The lamb meat literally falls off the bones. Service is good at the cash register.

Great casual spot in downtown for mediterranean, park in the small attatched lot, on the street, or at the big lot a block away. Order at the front and they'll give you a number and bring your food out to wherever you've chosen to sit. Big portions, and always delicious. I usually get a schwarma plate and it comes with rice, salad, meat, and pita bread. Sit inside or in their covered patio. Great for groups of all sizes.

I LOVE coming to Sultan's Kebab! It's conveniently located across from the movie theater and in downtown. I always order the combo shish kebab plate with chicken and beef. It comes with a good amount of food and I always leave stuffed! The salad dressing is to die for. The meat is cooked and seasoned to perfection. The pita with hummus combo is elite. My FAVORITE item is always the rice. It's buttery and just always hits the spot. The ambiance and service are always lovely. Definitely always a happy camper when I go here! Can't recommend Sultan's enough!!!

This one was a big surprise ! We decided to go in after looking online for Turkish cuisine place and were very pleased ! The place is huge . We got the lachmajun (excellent and crispy ) and the pide (very nice portion and yummy) . I also got Turkish coffee which I very much enjoyed . We celebrated a graduation at Sultan's Kebab in Livermore recently. Every employee provided the utmost attention and exceptional customer service to every guest, which made us feel so comfortable and welcome. The decor with all the flowers is also very relaxing. The DJ was very kind and had a diverse selection of music available. He would happily and quickly play your request. The entire family danced and had a fabulous time! I was too busy running around showing my hospitality to all, so I did not really get to taste much of the food. I had a nibble of the adane kabob and lamb shank and they were both soft and flavorful. I also took a bite of the salmon kabob, which I REALLY liked. The mixed shwarma plate did not have much flavor. However, most guests were satisfied with the food. Thank you, Sultan's Kebab, for a pleasant night and helping us celebrate our graduation at your place!

Sultan's only just opened here in Livermore, so when I asked for the Lamb Shank, I was half expecting to see a pained look and an explanation that they weren't yet prepared to serve up such a dish. But they didn't hesitate in adding that to the order, and the results were top shelf. It was nice to have some veggies included in the sauce on that shank. The place was well staffed, had plenty of customers rolling in, and they handled it all very well. Sultan's is a great addition to the Livermore 1st Street vibe, and I'm looking forward to returning to try the many other menu items. And did I mention the full bar? Well Played, Sultan's! read more

What was once our favorite place in Pleasanton has come to Livermore and I was finally able to give it a try. It was all that I hoped it would be. The shawarma is great. That's it. The rice tastes really strange. Can't place the origin of that flavor. If you are looking for real Mediterranean food this is definitely not the place to go. The pita and hummus is definitely store bought. The salad doesn't even come with dressing. This is the chipotle to Mediterranean. It's in a nice area but that is about it ambiance was good just not the food read more

We have tried the lahmacun and the meat pides (which I miss having growing up in the middle east) Both are extremely tasty! We drive 45 minutes every other week to get them. Hands down the best we have eaten in the bay area ( I have eaten quite a few growing up and these are as good). Highly recommend this place!! The owner is wonderful as well. read more

Let's rhyme blob, cob, fob, glaab, ... Kabob! The Sultan has spoken, I came in on a Friday around 5:15 to try this newer spot. Place is well decorated and inviting, ordered lamb shish salad, and my date had the beef shish salad, we both got a Jarrito mineral water.. who knew mexican mineral water and Middle Eastern food was a thing.. now you know. Walk up and ordered, was going to order a side of hummus employee said salads come with hummus. After waiting nearly 45 min for 2 salads and seeing others get their food ahead of us, who were behind us in line, I got to thinking... and then ....finally, I see the waiter rounding the corner. My facial expression shows the anticipation. My date sees it and says, "Is it here!? Was it worth the wait? Meh, it was good. The beef had much more flavor than the lamb. The salad was crisp and had loads of toppings. Hummus, you say , yeah, it came with no hummus. I was disappointed in that and the time it took. Otherwise, it was good and large portions, and we left with full bellies. Will I go back, maybe.. and maybe usually means no. read more

Love the food and owners. I have the lamajun every time. It tastes awesome. My only complaint is that I have been buying it regularly since the day they opened here. The size has radically changed! It was huge folded piece that barely fit the box. Then about the size of the box and now yesterday it was tiny. Folded and only about 1/4 the box. Very glad I decided to treat myself today to some delicious food. Prior to the Covid shut down I would visit the location in Pleasanton with co-workers. Was never disappointed and the same holds true for their Livermore location. They are crazy busy so be patient and respect the process because your food will be ready faster than you can say babagnoush! They have at least a dozen tables inside and a few outside as well. The moussaka proved to be a solid choice. It came with hummus, salad, rice and bread. Hubby enjoyed the fresh flavors and said he would definitely order it again. I ordered the chicken shish wrap and it was smaller in size but filling. The chicken was moist and seasoned well. Overall, a nice experience. The interior is cozy and comfortable. The staff will come and clean the tables as time allows. There was very little interaction with the employees but they thanked us as we were leaving. Plenty of parking in the large lot shared with many other businesses.

Suggest passing on the sourdough side that came with the paella. The bread had melted, but cooled cheese on it and there was not much free broth in the paella to soak therewith anyway. With water being the group's primary beverage, perhaps request a carafe of water at the table to ease the thirstier folks (me). Our wait person gave helpful suggestions and efficient service. The rest of the staff had hustle. As normal with live music, be prepared to raise your voice and repeat yourself in conversations. Parking is ample, with a short walk, in this Nob Hill Foods shopping center.

While it appears to be part of a chain, this particular location struck me as quite new. The interior was thoughtfully appointed, with a full bar and pleasant lighting, so refined that I think it would also be a nice place for dinner and drinks. However, the setup is casual: patrons seat themselves and place orders at the counter. This informal arrangement suits the setting perfectly; one doesn't expect tableside service at a kebab restaurant. My companion and I ordered a combination kebab to share, along with baba ghanoush and hummus. We were given plenty of pita. The portions were generous and quite sufficient for two and we even got to take away part of our meal. We finished our meal with Turkish coffee and baklava. The food quality genuinely impressed me. I'd rank it alongside the best kebabs I've encountered during my travels in Europe, comparable even to what I've tasted in Turkey itself. The staff was amiable and relaxed, consistent with the counter-service model. I'll admit, the experience exceeded my expectations considerably. You get them with that fluffy rice, a fresh little salad, smooth hummus, and warm pita. It's the kind of plate I'd eat all the time. The staff there are awesome--always a friendly "hey, welcome in" feel, even when I roll up late. It's just an another overhyped Mediterranean place which cannot deliver quality food and service. The service needs soo much work, everyone were trying to see the server or someone to help them the were not present. Wrong orders were taken or the food was presented delayed like we ordered ice cream with kunafa we got ice cream when we were done with kunafa. No one was around. The food was a joke seriously they focused on the presentation for photos but it doesn't make sense it's a flat plate where they served rice how do you expect to put the rice in a plate you need to move the entire wooden plate I donno I wish they focused on taste than all this stuff. The bread didn't seem warm or fresh. I wouldn't waste a penny on this place again wouldn't recommend anyone else too. The decor is very good they tried put some effort. read more
