Decided to check out this spot for lunch and it was awesome! I highly recommend the lamb shanks. Not salty at all and the meat was super tender. My co-workers keep saying that this is a great place for Mediterranean food. So, I finally got to try this place out due to a lunch outing for my boss's belated birthday. It's very easy place to get to. I ordered the lamb shawarma plate (#5). While we were waiting for our food, I tried the falafel with their sauce that is on the table. It was pretty good. Maybe next time I'll order the falafel plate. Everyone's plate (except for the lamb leg plate) had salad and hummus. You also get three pieces of pita bread to dip in your hummus. I enjoyed each component of my plate. Everyone's plate looked delicious. The prices are pretty reasonable. From what I heard, the food normally comes out on time. Our food took like maybe 5-10 mins but I wasn't starving so the wait wasn't too bad. I would most likely come back again. read more

I'd have to say that A LOT of the food in Pleasanton sucks compared to places in San Jose. I just feel that it's a better melting pot there. But this place is great. I'm glad to have found a Mediterranean place that serves decent food that I can have at lunch and not feel like crap after. Their Dolma's are great and I would recommend trying it if you haven't had some before. In short it's a stuffed veggie wrapped in grape leaves. I usually get their falafel wrap or Chicken Shawarma plate with some falafel on the side. It's a good spot and I would say its worth going to once a week for lunches. You eat good food and feel good after. Who wants something super heavy and feeling sluggish for the rest of the day My only complaint about this place is that their salad SUCKS. If you get it to-go, it's even worse. I just feel like the salad you get here is like the lettuce you get in your sandwiches at Subway. Yum yum yum! A modest down home restaurant that serves really good Mediterranean food. You can't go wrong here, the food tastes authentic and home cooked, the prices are good and the service is great. Tasty and cheap are the ingredients that make Sultans Kebab a popular spot here in Pleasanton. I was doing a pastoral lunch here with a member of my flock who loves the food. Good call too, as the selections here a good with an emphasis on portions. Want something lighter? Go with the wraps! Want more? This has been a kabob and falafel place much longer than its had this name. They've seriously upgraded the interior this time around and it seems to have improved their business since it's usually packed. I've had great meals from here and mediocre meals. They've always got fantastic falafel. Usually the meats are good as well although a couple times i've had unacceptably dry slices. One bonus, aside from fast food, I think this place is open till like 10:30 or 11 at night, and in Pleasanton where the most places shut at 9:30 or so, its either falafel or jack in the box. read more

This is our favorite shawarma place. I think maybe it's probably everyone else's favorite place. They're always busy but they're pretty efficient. The food is very tasty and we always look forward to going back. I usually order the Lamb shawarma and the rest of the family likes to experience different dishes. Amazing Food! Went with a group of friends to break our fast. It was pretty busy on a Friday night (no surprise here). Waited about 5-10 to order food and were served in 20. We got our food just in time to break our fast and we even given complimentary soup. I ordered the combo gyro platter which was AMAZING! Ample quantity of meat. Rice was great but I must say, their hummus is the star of the show. I only gave 4 stars due to the wait time of trying to find a table of four. However, this spot is one you should not miss! I've been here multiple times, but I just can't seem to get into this place. First, the restaurant is located I Pleasanton, CA. Even though this town is part of the progressive Bay Area, there are other places that offer better tasting food. The quality of meat is good, but the way they package their dishes together doesn't make a whole lot senses. The meat is dry and not very tender. One of my favorite places for Mediterranean food in the East Bay! The food tastes good and is consistent. Being vegetarian its hard to find healthy options for eating out that still taste good so the Veggie platter at Sultans has been my savior ;-) The owner Fatih is very personable and does a great job getting to know his customers and I have seen him reinvest back into his business over the years to elevate the experience for his customers. Love the fact that it is one of the only good food places in town open till 10pm!! I have been to this location over a dozen times because I was always told it would get better. Was I wrong!! The so called "head chef" who was supposedly trained by the best in Turkey can't, tell that the chicken was under cooked, the salmon wrap was salty, the lamb shank dry and the adana wrap bland! The rice pudding has had a metallic taste ever since they have started to mass produce in the little aluminum pie tins. As I waited for my meal to come out I would constantly see people screaming because they have been waiting over an hour for their orders! And on may occasions only to be told that the restaurant is "out!" How is that possible? The health code violations are astronomical! The prices have gone up and the quality, if possible, has gone down! Don't waste your money and your time on this place! read more

What I ordered on 2 different occasions: 1. lamb shawarma wrap- not very filling, lamb was definitely gamey. and normally, i like lamb. this i did not. white sauce bland. 2. chicken shawarma plate- enjoyed side salad- dressing yum, rice seasoned perfectly, hummus decent. Expect to feel you ate a ton a garlic and onion because that's what they use to add flavor and marinate.
