I have been to Sun Auto, 3 times in the last year, and the problem I originally took it in for is still not fixed. They can not fix an over heating car. I paid ove $5000 dollars and was told that there is no other problem with the cars engine. I few months later I noticed a big spot under the passenger side. It was oil. When we took it in they told me it was the power steering. I believed them. So I took the car home. About a month later, my car was over heating again. I got it home and checked fluids. The radiator was low on fluid and there was no oil in the car. I put radiator fluid and oil in the car. When I can out the next morning all of the oil was on the ground. I took it back in to Sun Auto and now I have to pay another $1000 to fix the oil pan but they still don't know why it is over heating. This is frustrating and the gentleman on the phone started to get a little pissed off and told me he is going to writing in my account that they don't know why it is over heating and all the work they have done to the car was not for the over heating. So that way they can charge me more money to fix it later when I bring it back in. NICE! That is what everyone wants to hear. They have ZERO customer service skills. I will not be back to this company. read more

I stopped in while in town from the San Diego area, because my car was idling too high and the 'check engine' light had come on, and I didn't want to stress over it on the 350 mile ride back. The guy at the counter (sorry, I don't remember his name) came out, diagnosed it, fixed it, and didn't charge me a penny! Talk about 'above and beyond' in your workplace! I came to sun auto as Carmax service was 3 weeks behind. This place is covered under my warranty and they could get me in the same day. At first they said that my part was on back order from Ford but a couple hours later they called me to say that the were able to find the part in stock at another dealership. This place is amazing. I had my VW serviced here because it was close to my house and was having a check engine light diagnosed. Day 1 I was told a vacuum leak. Day 2 it was now a computer problem in the obd II. Day 5 I called and now it was the mass air flow. I shelled out the $900 and to it home. 50 miles later the check engine light is on again. 2 days later now it is a vacuum leak again. I wonder why it was fixed the first time. Another 400$ later and I got my car back. 125 miles later the light pops on again. I had enough. I end up taking it to the dealer only to find out they used a wrong PCV and MAF was tuned wrong. Stay away from this place. Your better off going on the Internet and try to fix the problems yourself, you can't do any worse than them. read more

Friendly staff at sun auto offer great customer service, fast service, and go above and beyond to give you great service. I came in for a oil change and tire rotation. I mention my car was shaking a lot on the freeway so they checked it out for me. My back breaks were recently changed by a family member and they were not done correctly which was causing the shaking. They could have charged me to fix this but since the tires were off and it was a simple fix for them they fixed it. Sean and Troy said they just wanted my son and I to be safe and couldn't let me leave with the breaks the way they were. I have not done business with this company "yet" but after a conversation with one of their representatives, Cameron, I am confident that this is where I will have brake work done. This was the most "honest and to the point" assessment of some work I will need done on two cars ( and the one car, both late models) he said my brakes will be good for 100,000 miles and no need to address any issues now. Who tells you a "quick fix" for a simple squeek I am getting that it does not need repairs yet unless other problems arise. Also, on the second vehicle he gave me the most honest and sincere price of what it would cost in the "worst case scenario". How refreshing to find an "honest" auto repair place. Wasting time waiting. Unless you won't use your car for weeks. Otherwise, go somewhere else for faster service. This is a 5th time happened to me. I made a appointment 8am to have my car repair. And the end of the day I called back in. They said: "we have not have a chance to take a look at the car yet". Then I don't know what the point of making appointment. This is so wasting time to stop by with an appointment and they left my car in parking lot for days. That is a shame. I love their service but I can't stand the insane waiting time anymore. read more

I went to Sun Auto after a recommendation from our trusted Discount Tire for an alignment and balancing that the Toyota dealership wanted to charge me $150 for. The manager Sean was so welcoming and took me in right away with no questions asked, assuring me that no service would be done that didn't need to be done. Toyota, for some reason, hadn't balanced my tires so he said they would do that too. I got a call about an hour later saying they could find no reason that Toyota said I needed an alignment and balancing, they rotated my tires, and there would be no charge for their services. After I asked "are you sure??" twice, he told me I could come and get my car. They were so nice to me and saved me $150. I will definitely be using Sun Auto in the future because of their honesty and integrity! read more

Took my truck there because carmax approves this for their warranty. Took it for 2 problems. Which one didnt get fixed and took it back. They supposedly fixed it ,but now both problems came back and im out of warranty . If i knew they would be this horrible i would have just got it fixed at carmax itself. Lying crooks! Brought my car in for an Evap leak/check engine light and they came up with this long list of things wrong: fuel pump, spark plugs, ignition coil, air pump, air injection reactor pump and wanted to charge me almost $2000. I took it to another mechanic and their price was only $319. I showed him Sun Auto's invoice and he said it was complete nonsense. read more
