Sometimes the Bad News & Diagnosis is what you want to hear,but nonetheless the overview & work recommended is both Necessary and Required. I had a pan hanging down under my car. Easy fix, just needed to be reattached, but doing it myself would have meant a whole lot of work. I showed up at Sun Auto with no appointment. They took my keys, reattached the pan, gave me free coffee, and handed my keys back inside 20 minutes, no charge. Didn't even try to up sell me. Never thought it was possible. read more

I took my car in because I keep a rattling noise from the drivers side. I was told that the car had hultiple suspension concerns. Contol arms are torn and cracking. Front left CV axles is torn and slinging grease. Other issue. it was stated this might take care of the rattling noise. was given an est for over 3,000. I had vehicle inspected again and the nosie was coming from the brake dust shield and not sure why the technician did not notice this. Also find out that the other noise was coming from the transmission due to very low fluid. Once it was drained and replaced the noise went away. I came in because I had been there before to have other issues taken care of. Not a happy customer and will not be going back. read more

Quality and service! Had to bring my car back several times and they couldn't figure out the problem! Change a starter on a Mercedes and it wasn't even the starter, change a rely and it wasn't that! Quoted me 5k for a mod and it wasn't the problem! I called to get a battery credited after spending several thousands of dollars and all Ely could tell me is he can't authorize anything! Very pleasant experience for my first time here! Fairly priced, and speedy. I only had an oil change so my service was pretty simple. Aaron (and I think Eli) was very nice and welcoming when checking in. I didn't feel pressured to pay for any additional services during my visit, either. The facilities are nice and clean too. It helps that they are just down the road from me, so happy I found a trustworthy place that I could walk to if need be! read more

Was driving by culebra road looking for a vehicle inspection place many of the official DUE NOW stations have been converted to COVID testing which I think it's just false advertising cause they should change the names instead of having people drive to 3 stations and nothing ! Anyways came across this place, which stated it was an auto center and decided to give it a try. Was I surprised!! The service was fast and convenient and it was only $7 dollars! They offer coffee and a nice clean, air conditioned waiting area! I'll be back to get my oil changes here for sure ! read more

Took our car there last week for new tires, alignment, and brakes. They did us a solid and stayed a little late to get it done. Upon driving it home, the brakes still feel just as bad as they did before the new brakes. The tires are WORSE. They make an awful hum that literally hurts my ear. And we have a massive vibration at lower speeds. Talked to one guy and he said they could exchange them. Went in to be told we'd have to pay the full $1500 for new tires. I had surgery the next day and have not driven the car since. Nice way to stand behind your work and your products. If I could give them no stars I would. People don't do business like this where I'm from. I hope all stores aren't as bad as this one with their customer satisfaction. read more

My fiancé went to take our Nissan Altima to have a day time running light fixed, a headlight bulb replaced and the washer pump replaced. Well they didn't work on the day time running light, so that wasn't fixed. They replaced the headlight bulb and washer pump and charged us $455.00 for labor. They told her it was because they had to remove the bumper! It only takes a few screws at the bottom and around the wheel well and a some snaps on the top to remove the bumper cover, so how the hell do you charge $455.00 for labor? She was so pissed that she didn't stay to complain. The fact that she's always taken cars to be repaired there, along with her moms car, makes it more maddening! We will never take any of our cars here again, and will never recommend anyone to this shop. read more

I went just for them to fix my breaks which they did. I used east pay to make the payments for the service so Martin stated it needs more work done and I said ok that's fine I'll just use the easy pay to pay it off in payments. So I wasn't able to access my account on easy pay because it said I don't have an account, I called Martin back and asked him did my application not go through or something went wrong? And he immediately made an assumption that I wasn't going to pay for anything. And i felt like I md a bad decision coming here! So I'll work things out on my end with easy pay but I will not come here EVER AGAIN OR RECOMMEND THIS PLACE EVER! read more

I had my car towed there last month around noon and it was diagnosed by the end of the day and "fixed" by 3 the next day. I was super excited that they were so fast. They said it was definitely the fuel pump which cost about $3000. Well, I pick it up and that very same day, my car does the exact same thing I took it in for and it died in the middle of the highway. I had to get it towed back to their shop. The guy looks at it again and says "oh we just needed to put tape around some wires that were grounding each other." So $3000 later they "fixed" the wrong thing. Extremely disappointed. If they had taken a complete look at the vehicle, I would've never had to spend money I didn't have on something that didn't even need to be fixed. read more

It was 4:10 on a Saturday and my bad ass Dodge Charger had a piece of the under well hanging off the frame from me going up on a curb irresponsibly. I go in to Sun Auto and as usual Geno acknowledges me like a true gentleman and tells me he'll be right with me!, excellent customer service automatically. Then I go up to counter and ask for assistance with my vehicle undercarriage issue. He asks me for my key FOB and asked mechanic to kindly look at my vehicle asap. I sit down for 10 minutes and Geno the Gentleman tells me my car is fixed and ready to go. I say great and ask how much?, he says no charge for this since I'm a loyal customer and I'm done! I would not even rate this, I would give it a zero, my 83 year old father went to purchase a ford ranger about a month ago, I usually azcgomoany him as he is 83 years old and doesn't understand the signing of contracts, we'll I came back from wis(vacatio) and saw he had bought a ford ranger with 116,000 miles on it, I took it for a ride and immediately saw the check engine lights on, after I mentioned this to my father, he tells me they went on a couple weeks after he bought this vehicle, I took it to the service center in Devine, and spoke with the service manager, which after explaining to him my dad does not know anything about signing contracts, which he said well the paperwork states the vehicle is sold as is, I pleaded with him and finally said, " I'll see what I can do" 2 weeks later I called the Devine service center and they had no idea where my dads vehicle was, after about an hr, they mentioned it was parked back in Lytle, where he bought it, I spoke with the person that sold it to him and he kept telling me it was sold as is, I asked if they had fixed it or if they did any work on it, to which he replied " I don't know" I honestly never seen anything like this before, they have no organization, no communication between the employee, I'm dumbfounded this is something that I will take to court, thanks to the lemon law, please be aware When buying from there, especially if you have an elderly relative, that they can take advantage of! read more

i get there one hour before they are closing. I asked the technicians if they are busy or is anyone in front of me to get an oil change. They say no, and they can change my oil right now, just to go inside and let the front guy know. I go inside and tell him i need an oil change. Old white dude who is talking to a customer going on and on about his property and the neighbor across from him shot her ex boyfriend is clearly wasting my time then tells me he can schedule me in tomorrow for an oil change. Car-X/Sun Auto on Huebner botched my AC repair last year. Apparently this Sun Auto location is no better. They didn't catch that my valves were leaking, they just filled it with coolant. Now the coolant has all leaked out and I'm back at the shop getting it repaired for the third time. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. No Sun Auto will ever get my business again, so don't bother apologizing, manager. read more

Been coming to Sun Auto since it used to be Car-X back in 2017. Everything I've needed repairs on for my vehicle have been addressed promptly without issues. I've never had to come back for repairs on the same thing twice. I always recommend this store for their skilled and honest mechanics. Managers are Geno, Eddie, and John. They're super down-to-earth and will take their time to explain to you what is going on with your car. They work as best as they can with your financial circumstances, as well. You know how you go to a shop for an oil change, and next thing you know the guy behind the counter tells you that you need $1000 worth of work? Yeah, no - that isn't this place. If they find something that you need to pay attention to, they'll tell you - but they won't pressure you to add on a service you didn't originally ask for. They'll warn you about it, tell you a ball park figure of how much time you can go without addressing it, and will encourage you to get a second opinion if you're skeptical. Overall, I've been extremely satisfied getting my vehicle serviced at this shop, and I refuse to go to any other. Sincerely giving this place a 10/10! read more
