I really needed a better sound for my gf's vehicle because the stock system it came with was lacking. After doing some research and reading reviews I opted to give my business to Sun valley stereo. I made an appt, told them what I was looking for and wanting, they made some suggestions. It's cool to not know much about stereo systems but have them explain it to you in a way that makes sense and.....being able to hear the differences as well in their back room with some sample stereos, speakers, amps was a huge plus. I asked them how long it'd be and they delivered, the sound is wayyyyy better than before and I should've done it sooner. In any case, I feel confident if anything is to go wrong in the future or if I was to need assistance with anything I could go back and they'd be able to help out. I went her based off the positive reviews and was disappointed not once but twice. I put a $100.00 deposit for a deck and found it for $200.00 cheaper. I called the salesman Ryan and he said he would see what he could do. He couldn't match the price and only gave me $70.00 back. I decided to try again and had some kick panels slightly modified for $250.00, which is expensive. He also sold me a pair of speakers that obviously didn't even fit. Let's just talk about first impressions for a moment. First impressions are absolutely paramount. My first impression of Sun Valley Stereo is wow! Clean showroom. Polite staff that I can understand and no offense too other shops but it seemed like the employees here are not children ;) Very professional and spoke to me as a 36yr old adult who wants a system, not a 36yr old who wants to be 18. I have a appt for a install on a preloaded sub set up on 08/16/19 hoping someone cancels because I've been searching and I think I found my sound experts. They are $25 cheaper then rivals for the OFC wiring. Audio express sells for $80!!! So far I am very pleased there are experienced men and women who have been doing this for quite some time. Front speakers on my car were sounding "fuzzy" so I contacted several car audio installation companies. After a few calls, messages, and even visiting one of them - nothing , totally ghosted, EXCEPT these guys. Made an appointment and when I arrived I didn't have to wait. They first got out the OEM speakers out to verify the impedance, wattage, and dimensions BEFORE suggesting replacements. And they didn't upsell me on high priced replacements. In and out in less than 2 hours. Even gave me my old speakers - magnets anyone? Clean job, no warping of the thin dash grill, doors show no pry marks, real professional. My only regret - should've replaced the rear door and factory sub, especially at these prices and quality of work. Sorry gotta go to make that appointment. read more

So, I've actually left Sun Valley Stereo reviews in the past on different sites. Once on Google Maps for my first visit. More recently on the CivicX forums just to show off their work. These guys have always gone above and beyond for me. I'm a bit of a difficult customer sometimes because I'm not always sure if I'm making the right decision. Most recently I was there and had them outfit my civic with new speakers, a 4-channel amp and an 8" subwoofer but I wanted to try and retain a stock look by keeping the factory head unit. I went with the FiX86 which was supposed to correct the factory equalizer but it ultimately didn't workout the way I was hoping it would. Not being aware of their return policy I decided to just sit on it for a month before I decided to call them and ask if they could help. I don't know why I waited so long, they've always been so helpful in the past. Ryan took a listen and agreed it didn't sound quite right. He offered to get in touch with the manufacturer to find a solution for the FiX86 or to just swap it out entirely for something else. I was very relieved to find that he was willing to do an exchange after so much time. He didn't even charge me a restocking fee!! Anyway I just wanted to express my thanks once again. As long as I'm here locally in Arizona, I'll be back for all of my future car audio needs. read more

I was prepared to spend at least a thousand dollars on new speakers for my car. 2007 FJ Cruiser Backup Camera and Headunit Brought my own gear in (Pioneer headunit, iDatalink, and backup cam) and they installed it. Gave me a quote for installation over the phone. I arrived, explained how I wanted it installed, and a few hours later everything was programmed and installed. The quality of the installation was excellent and the team worked to drill as few holes as possible. My only regret is that I wish I would have asked them to wire the backup camera wires through a protective sleeve so the camera AV cable running under the car and into the rear bumper isn't exposed to off-roading mud and elements. read more
