My wife and I order to-go from here many times. I wouldn't say they are great, but they are definitely good. Their meat and veggie dishes are good, but the fried rice and chow fun dishes are just ok. We order from here because Sam Woo is too far from us. All in all, I would recommend this place. Just don't expect it to be a life changing experience. As advised by most places that serve Peking duck I called in advanced for the order. It was a little difficult to accomplish with the owner's accent which I'm usually not alien to. Anyway we set our owner and headed over shortly. The place was fairly empty but I thought it was a nice little place with a lot of big tables. Definitely seem made for either take out or family style meals in mind. We got seated and I somehow got convinced to get the duck done two ways. To be honest I didn't really hear too well but it was $5 so I just relented. Then what came out was some duck skin on a bed of shrimp chips with those fluffy buns that have a slight sweetness to it. Also came with hoisin sauce and green onion. I will say that while it wasn't the greatest Peking duck I've ever had, I really enjoyed it. Could be that it's been years but I enjoyed the flavors. Maybe could have been crispier but kind of nit picking considering how affordable it is. Then the stir fry duck thing with some lettuce which was great too. This place is my family go to place for chinese togo. Everything is super on point and taste great. The prices are super reasonable maybe because it's kind of far from the masses of restaurants on SG and MPK. We have tried a lot of the dishes and everything is really on point. My fave typically is their tofu dishes, salt and pepper pork chops, and either their bittermelon or just standard string beans. When you get to go they also provide a container of their soup which is pretty rare when getting take out. read more

This rating is for staff and customer service. I went on a Thursday evening to buy Roasted Pork/Pork Belly. There was a lady who rushed in right before me at front door to buy Roasted Pork. She was indecisive as to buying Roasted Pork or Roasted Pork Belly. She was asking the staff about which piece is better and this and that: if it's too fatty and price, etc. What irritated me was there is only 1 piece of each left, without she buying any of the pieces, the staff let her touch both pieces and let her feel it. I was like that's gross, letting customer touch the food without buying it first, unsanitary. I've just left without buying anything. Gave it a try after seeing it on yelp and had only one other asian person recommend this spot. The front of the restaurant looks like a fast food spot where you point at items and they pack it for you but the formal seating is on the right of that. I felt a mix of both worlds in one. I come here for the bbq pork rice dish which is about $10 and comes with veggies. The dish is great for takeout and they give a large portion where it can be separated into two meals. The only issue I have about this place is that most of the front workers don't seem to know much english, so if you don't speak english they will tend to ignore you and you will be standing there for a couple minutes to get their attention even when the restaurant is not super crowded. The main thing we learned is always eat where the locals eat. i rate on a 3 POI scale, taste. portion and price. You cant do any better if your looking for a really good and fast meal. We started coming here when in the area visiting my mom but recently we've been driving in just to go to this place. The only hair spitting comment is Parking lot is usually pretty full so can be tough to park if you have any car larger the mid size. Besides that no matter whatever you order you you won't do bad. Finally on our last visit i noticed they don't have any condiment on the tables. I sure its intentional so customers do casually reach for seasoning, i believe that there is no reason for any. First off, BBQ is good. can't complain about that. especially the wings and roast pork. they give you a broth with your meal. i am convinced broth with every meal is responsible for keeping the Cantonese slim, fill your belly up with soup and there won't be too much room for everything else. its not very good nor is it very bad. its a nice surprise to get bone broth soup with your meal. they'are super friendly and helpful. both the veggie dish and the beef chow fun i ordered tasted off and pretty unpleasant. and incredibly greasy and flavorless. Came here for the Rotisserie Duck. It was extremely burnt, I pointed out that i didn't want that one but the man decided it was a good idea to give it to me anyway. There was miscommunication problems, had to say 1/2 duck more than 6 times. The duck was very boney and small, NOT like what i see in the yelp picture. i'd say way smaller than that. had no idea why he chopped 1/2 duck into 20-30 smaller pieces, I tasted nothing but bones and the texture was bad and burnt. Wow! This place is great. I used to come here when it was the other place. The food here is really good for Cantonese style bbq restaurant, not further west or down in Rowland heights. The pork chops with spicy salt are absolutely the best I've had. Beef chow fun on point. Pork belly with preserved cabbage... Super tender and mildly flavored. And the prices are great! Lunch special prices at dinner time for many items. $5.99 etc.... The owner Ming is awesome. Super nice and attentive, and provided GREAT SERVICE which is unheard of at chinese restaurants. The food there is better then expected and price wise is also reasonable compared to many other Chinese restaurant out there. Their portion is generous however if you ever order to go, I would recommend to call in your order in advance otherwise expect to wait about half an hour. Came here on a whim with my uncle last night for dinner, since it was getting late and this restaurant was close by. It was 8:30pm, and we felt welcomed into the restaurant without feeling rushed. We had a waitress who was new and kept giving us answers like "I think so" when we were asking her about the specials posted on the door. This appeared a bit unprofessional to me as all employees of any restaurant/retail store should be familiar with what specials they have going on. Anyways, we ordered the Satay Beef (came with way too much onions and bell peppers; why not just call it Onions and Bell Peppers with a Side of Satay Beef?), some veggies, a plate of boiled shrimp, and a half order of their house special steamed chicken. The flavor of everything was pretty good, the presentation - not so much. Maybe it was because it was close to their closing time, but I would give them another shot since this restaurant is literally only a couple of blocks from my house. Love coming here for the noodle dishes. My absolute go to is the chicken chow mein. Portions are big and prices cheap. We always get seated right away. The waiter is always attentive and makes sure your tea pot is refilled promptly. He even makes time to chat with you to say hello and make sure everything is alright. First thing I noticed when I came in here was the sign that reads "Cash Only". Luckily I had cash with me during the time and glad the sign was noticeable since I normally pay with cards. The place is big, don't feel greasy like a typical Chinese restaurants for it was really clean. And customer service is ok. They help you right away as you walked in, but their English isn't so great, sometimes another employee have to come up and help; after-all most customers that comes here orders and speak Chinese anyways. I noticed it was a Chinese BBQ around my place, so I stop by a couple of times for a quick take-out to eat at home/work with my white rice. Stopped by for I was craving for Roast Duck one time and the other time was for Roast Pork; will most likely to swap back and forth. Roast Duck is soft and juicy as I would have imagined it, other than too much bones. As for the Roast Pork, the outside is crispy and the meat is tasty and not hard. Both of my favorite Chinese BBQ is sure flavorful. I had better flavor and pricing-wise when my family buys it, just haven't known that place yet, or found my own. As for now, this place is nearby and easy to access to when ordering it. Plus, plenty of parking space in the plaza with my favorite boba place to go to that is across from it. read more

Hit or miss depending on what you get. For roasted pork, go to Ruby's since the roast pork here is just not crispy and not that flavorful. The good thing about this place is that they don't over salt, but not good if you like a lot of flavor. The roasted pork I got also didn't all have skin on top and it was haphazardly thrown into the box unlike Ruby's which lay it out all nicely and with every piece having crispy skin. This place does get a plus for having super moist meats whether duck, chicken, or pork. The soy sauce chicken was very good, but the flavor is a bit on the sweeter side. Still really good and recommend. It really depends on your palate. Duck is moist, but not super memorable. Char siu also moist, but not super flavorable. Sausage was perfect and had more Asian flavors. Highly recommend sausage. Overall, it's a solid chinese bbq place. TLDR; super moist, not overly salty, but flavors okay. Driving 10 FWY East exit at Peck to South direction and passes Ramona, the BBQ is on your right side and just behind the East West Bank. Such a new and clean restaurant, Cantonese style food. We tried the pork belly and mixed veg, and fillet mignon, the food is very tasty and delicious. After the food, house-special dessert served. Nice and quick service.
