The food is tasty. I like the favor not so heavy. I will definitely come again.

The food is tasty. I like the favor not so heavy. Although not much choice of skewers, the intestine and the chicken skin are my best choice. I definitely will come again.

Absolutely loved this place! From the moment we walked in, you could feel the heart behind this family-owned restaurant. The hospitality is genuinely warm and welcoming you're treated like a regular even on your first visit. This was actually my first time ever trying Chinese skewers, and wow what an introduction. The skewers are made to order, incredibly fresh, and perfectly seasoned. Every skewer comes out sizzling, packed with bold, smoky, savory flavors that are completely addictive. The food was so good that I almost forgot to take a picture, which says everything. It's the kind of place where passion for food and community truly shines through. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend we will definitely be back again!

Everything was so good!!!! New place, nice experience, food and service all good. I will go back ASAP

The service was really good and friendly (nice cat too), and the skewers were pretty fire. Price is not bad either. Definitely coming again.

They recently opened, and this was our first time visiting. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and tasted very authentic. The beef skewers were cooked to perfection and literally melted in our mouths. It's easily one of my favorite Chinese BBQ spots so far. We went on a Sunday and it wasn't too packed, but I'd definitely recommend visiting asap before the lines start getting long!

Good and friendly service, and probably one of the best skewer places in the 626! Won't put a hole in the wallet!

The beef skewers were perfect, not too salty, just about right. The owners were really nice too.

I found out later, the owners had changed, in 2022. Fresh new owners, comes with freshly improved taste. This is a nice little mom and pop restaurant. My wife and I went crazy with the menu, especially for 2 people. Every dish was cooked better than the last time we ate here. We added another item (whole roast duck), but it's not photographed. We ate the duck at home. It was very tasty. A must try! The Beef in Spicy Broth was a new item on the menu, and so was the Fish in Spicy Broth. They are a great new additions. With both dishes having the right amount of spicy kick, my stomach didn't have to remind me of my life choices later. That was the best part. (If you had these dishes at other Sichuan restaurants, you know what I meant.) We will definitely be back at this restaurant, when I'm in town for work. Give this place a try and you won't regret it!!!

This was my first time trying their special lunch menu ranging $9.99 - &13.55 instead of just ordering BBQ meats. We ordered several dishes to share: * Salt & Pepper Pork Ribs * Braised Pork with Aged Vegetables * String Bean Chicken * Egg Tofu with Mushrooms * Stir-Fried Lettuce with Fermented Bean Curd * Spicy Vermicelli Pot with Clams, Scallops & Egg White * Steamed Giant Clams with Silky Egg * Salted Fish & Chicken Tofu Pot For an extra $5, we also added a small box of their brine duck, which was a nice addition. The lunch portions were reasonable for the price, and the service was friendly throughout our visit. Parking was also easy to find during weekend lunch, which made the experience convenient. The Salt & Pepper Pork Ribs had a slightly sour taste that made us question whether it was fresh, so we couldn't finish that dish. It was disappointing because everything else was fairly decent. Overall, despite of the pork ribs, I still think Sunny Shine BBQ is a solid neighborhood, family-owned restaurant, especially for their BBQ meats that I've enjoyed over the years. Very friendly service, quiet ambiance, and convenient location have always kept me coming back.

I ordered the all day special for $23.99. Includes 1 chicken leg quarter, choice of 2 beef ribs or 4 pork ribs with choice of 2 sides and a roll. I chose the beef ribs! Not many restaurants have beef ribs on weekdays. These ribs were not dinosaur bones, but did the trick. I can get pork ribs anywhere, but to get beef ribs any day of the week? My kind of place! Meats were delicious and tender and covered with BBQ sauce. BBQ sauce was tangy and they have squeeze bottles of it to have at your table. Loved the mash potatoes and rice.

Bones from the Pork ribs - the meat just falls cleanly off the bone when you pick it up.

Love the new space! There are a good number of 4-top tables, as well as a communal hightop counter with barstools for dining in.

Service is excellent. They have plenty of employees on staff to help with everything you need. We came on a Saturday morning, which is a busy time, but was able to get seated and served quickly. In the way of ambience, they have a lot of license plates, freeway type signs and other signage throughout the facility. It is very neat and clean and the decor is actually very nice.! A decent spot that my partner and I like whenever we're feeling some skewers vibes. I find myself to be a huge fan of their cucumber salad. Yes, even for a skewer place, they can be very delicious as a compliment to the savory skewers. It's nice to have that sweeter taste to offset the saltiness of all the other items. Interior is nice but can be quite hectic. Tons of tables that fit all sizes of groups, staff is quick but sometimes they do feel like they're understaffed. Service is not really a thing here, most like a food shop stand but interior. They clean tables, assign seating, bring you your food and that's basically it. Paying can be confusing but most of the time you can pay on your phone but it's recommended to pay where the register is, quick and easy. There's so many food options that you might find yourself scrolling for awhile. One feature I like is that their ordering system is easy. Scan a QR code and you can just order on your phone. Staff is moderately quick so that's a plus. If you're with a group, I recommend ordering on a designated phone to prevent any confusion or extra charges, etc. Skewers wise, my favorite goes to the beef, lamb, and the squid sticks. All are seasoned well but can be a bit salty. Most of the food here is spicy unless you ask for it so prepare for that. There's also a side/condiments bar that's filled with snacks that you can munch on while you're waiting for your food free of charge, however it's pretty filling. Overall, a decent spot that's great for a late night snack. Not the best but not the worse either when it comes to service. Food is great and even better for people who can handle spice well. Will definitely be back in the future.
