Great food, quick service and amazing owners!!! Updating the menu as it was outdated!

Such a great teriyaki spot! They give such big portions of meat, so it's definitely enough for two meals and two scoops of rice too! The sauce is delicious and a touch on the sweet side but that's perfect for a good teriyaki sauce. I love the dressing they give with the side salad, and the gyoza is delicious. They're super stuffed and juicy. The owner is so sweet too, so this is probably gonna be my new go to teriyaki spot!

Affordable and generous portions! We were in the area from out of town and heard that Seattle teriyaki was a must. This quaint spot did not disappoint! We ordered the chicken teriyaki which was perfect for 2 people. The staff are extremely friendly too and very welcoming of new customers :)

What can I say? It's a very solid teriyaki joint that is very close to work. I don't like their tofu teriyaki dish much, but it was definitely filling. Just had a bit too much going on... and the serving was too big for my liking. When I go now and don't feel like meat, I tend to get a serving of brown rice and a salad. Filling and cheap? Perfect! When I'm craving some chicken, I get their super tasty teriyaki chicken. The chicken comes with a salad (lettuce and some tasty creamy white sauce) and plenty of rice. It's kind of a heavy meal, but it generally ends up being two meals for about $7. Perfect. Oh and the staff? I only ever talk with the cashier lady and we still haven't established any form of small talk or ongoing conversation, but she's nice and seems to remember me now that I've come in more than a couple of times. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but it can't really get any better than this for a standard tasty and cheap teriyaki joint... so, 5 stars it is!

I live in Magnolia and was out and about in the neighborhood running errands Friday and decided to come here to grab a quick dinner. Pretty quiet when I walked in, but seems like there's a lot of to go orders that come in here. I ordered: - chicken teriyaki + gyoza plate Comes with an iceberg lettuce salad. I really liked the teriyaki here! Probably the best I've had in Seattle. Decently priced as well. A good portion.

Cute small Teriyaki shop. Such sweet owners! I came in randomly as I was craving teriyaki and wanted to try a new spot. I parked, and came in. Very small, but so friendly. I came in and ordered the half chicken and half katsu plate. The wait was a tidbit long... I waited about 20 minutes for my food. It wasn't that long, but it felt long. The plate looked small, but it was a lot of food--half chicken, half katsu, rice, and salad. The only thing that sucks--is that their rice they give you is very small. I wish they gave us more rice. A lot of teriyaki places give you like 2 cups of rice. Nonetheless, the food had me full. I think the katsu was a bit overcooked. Yes, it was a bit dry and very very brown, which indicates it was overcooked. Aside from that, they are truly the sweetest people ever. Super nice service, there is free water with cups, and they clean the dishes as long as you bust your own table :)

Great spicy pork, and overall good teriyaki. Do not confuse this place with Sunny Teriyaki in Ballard.

Great place to get teriyaki in the Ballard area! Decently priced. You can get regular size chicken teriyaki for about 10 bucks

Consistently awesome. Spicy sauce has Korean gochujang, and the owners are so sweet and kind. Everything there is good, you can't lose.

It's okay for convenient, local teriyaki. The meat seems fresh and good quality. I'd recommend the chicken w/ gyoza.

Overall, was blown away by the omakase set and the welcoming staff. Highlights & Notes: -Location: Right next to Aroom in Fremont area -Parking: Street -Service: Very nice and friendly staff -Interior: Modern and chic -Food: Ordered the Salmon Dinner Set and the Omakase set. Salmon set = perfect for anyone who loves salmon. Comes with as sashimi, nigiri and rolls of different types of salmon. Very fresh and was so tasty :) For the omakase, I felt like time flew by tooooo quickly as I devoured every single piece. Loved how there weren't any fillers and that you would just go straight into the joys of eating various fish and traditional items like shrimp and tomago (egg). Every piece of fish = yummy, fresh, and I loved the wasabi touch + light seasonings for the fish. Didn't had to use any soy sauce or anything for this. Plus, the price here is definitely reasonable for the high quality fish :) Can't wait to come back and try out more of the sushi rolls and do another round of the omakase set.

I recommend the Omakase selection, but if you want to start out with just a simple roll, try the Stone Way roll and splurge on the Cucumber Unagi appetizer. Table seating is generous, and the atmosphere is Chill. I look forward to seeing you there so we can talk about our favorites at the bar.

Katsu is one of the finest fried items known to humankind, and even though eating fried food makes me feel like I've been punched in the stomach recently, I was willing to take a rocket to the gut for some stellar katsu and fries. Daruma has the set up of a no-frills establishment that knows they're going to be churning out orders. The kiosk order system isn't that common in the US because it seems ridiculously unfriendly, but Japan is about efficiency with a focus on the food. They only had two people working here so it was slow, but absolutely worth it. The spicy chicken katsu was incredible. Everything that was on this sandwich had a reason for being there. The cutlet itself was incredibly juicy and crispy. The right amount of sauce was applied so as to not make the sandwich itself soggy (critical on a sandwich with fried elements), and then the cabbage on top gives it a bit of freshness. I'm pretty sure the bread was fine, but that isn't why we're here. It's a vessel for fried food. The fries seem to need a bit of work. I think they may have gotten soggy because they came in a to-go box, but the seasoning was fantastic. They also come with whatever sauce you want, and there is a plethora to choose from. I thoroughly enjoyed the spicy mayo, which I then added to the katsu sando as well. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the Fremont area.

Can't believe it took me this long to write a review because I've been here multiple times…read more This is my go-to when I'm craving a katsu sando specifically. I've had both the regular and the spicy pork katsu sando -- both are really good, but the spicy one is no joke. It's genuinely numbing and by the halfway point everything kind of blends together haha. My one wish is that there was something in between -- the regular has zero kick and the spicy is full send. A medium heat option would be perfect. The fries deserve their own shoutout. Thin, crispy outside, fluffy inside, always fresh. Highly recommend dipping them in the mayo. Their egg salad is also solid if you want something lighter. Ordering is casual -- you order at the kiosk and grab it from counter when it's ready. No frills, but the staff are always friendly. If a katsu sando is what you're after, this is the place.
