Had a great take out meal. Thoroughly enjoyed almost everything they ordered and would re-order most of it again. Takoyaki: grilled octopus balls. This was great! Was everything that I expected it to be even after taking it home. Good flavors, good textures, a decent amount of octopus inside. Would get this again. Chicken karaage: this was great also and I'd get it again. Though the chicken didn't stay crispy after taking it home (as expected), the chicken texture was soft inside and the sauce (seemed like a spicy mayo sauce) was a good dipping sauce for it. I'd get this again as well! Tonkotsu ramen: pretty good ramen with a good soup base. The pork chasu in it was very flavorful. The egg was perfectly soft boiled. Would get this again too, but may try other ramens next time. Gyu don: marinated beef over rice. This was great as expected also. Tasted exactly as I thought it would. A bit of a sweeter meat/sauce if you like that. Spicy tuna bowl: not my favorite and won't be getting this again unless there are changes to it. The tuna was the very chopped up, so it didn't really feel like I was eating a raw fish. The taste was a bit spicy, but I didn't taste any type of saucy flavor to it. Just a little spicy mush over rice. I ended up adding the spicy mayo sauce from the chicken karaage to it to eat, and enjoyed it a little more that way. (Sorry if I butchered this dish). Maybe I'm just not used to what a spicy tuna bowl is, but I prefer sauces in my raw fish over rice. The restaurant is a cute little shop with a decent amount of seating, but doesn't look big enough for large large groups unless you combine tables if they're available. There's a cute little foosball table kids can play with as well. Small enough for maybe toddler aged kids or I guess adults too? Ha. Thanks for a great meal! I will be back to try more things on the menu!

My kids wanted to come here and they said the ramen was really good. I had a bite and it was tasty. The staff was friendly, [[HIGHLIGHT]]the vibe was good[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and the overall experience was top-notch

I really hate to be that person, but if you've had ramen in Japan, then you know this isn't real ramen. Their tonkotsu ramen is the worst! The broth was so bland and the eggs looked old. It did not taste like tonkotsu at all. The broth for their spicy ramen had a very weird flavor - it almost tasted like they threw a bunch of spicy chili sauce all over it to give it some flavor, but was unsuccessful. Their croquettes would've been good, but they served it to us cold. It was warm on the outside, but cold on the inside. Chicken karaage was not well seasoned. Despite the disappointment, I will say that the only thing that was good was their sushi. I wanted to love this place so much, but it's not worth the drive.

I had the Black Tonkotsu Ramen. The garlic truffle oil they use is a great addition to the traditional Tonkotsu I am used to. The service was good. Highly recommend checking the place out.

We tried this place for the first time since it opened this year. I'm happy to say everything we ordered was great -spicy miso, pork with black garlic oil, bun and firecracker rolls. I'm a big ramen fan and have eaten at many different ramen places in the Chicagoland - I can say ramen here is flavorful and authentic and is among the top. So glad we now have a high quality Japanese ramen and sushi place in the area! One thing to improve is that the restaurant looks low on staff - so the vibe is more for casual dining when you don't demand perfect service. Will be back again!

My boyfriend and I came here a few days before the grand opening (aug 28). The place was empty, prob because we came for the soft opening, but the staff was very nice! We got the karaage and takoyaki to start. The karaage was just a cooked chicken with sriracha mayo. It was good, although we were expecting it to be crunchier. The takoyaki was amazing and left us wanting more! I looooved the Tonkatsu ramen and the spoon it came with. My boyfriends firecracker sushi was great too with a little kick! Def recommend if you're in the area! I love local shops like this.10/10

I believe we ate lunch on a weekday. The service was ok, a few of the items we wanted to order were not available. Their sushi chef was not there that day, so no sushi was available to order, along with one or two other entrees we wanted to order. The food was average, nothing that stood out as great or exceptionally bad. The one thing I remembered thinking positively was the curry chicken rice plate. The curry sauce was good. The chicken wasn't the traditional breaded chicken cutlet, rather pieces of chicken karage, which was good. Solid ramen spot!…read more While we were shopping at IKEA we had the sudden urge for some ramen, and not knowing the area we looked up what was close and landed on this place. We walked in and they were incredibly busy, the server was attentive and gave us a very minimal ETA which we simply waited by the door. We were sat within time and they took care of us immediately! The servers simply seemed to round robin the tables and kept it very efficient. We both ordered different items and both incredibly satisfied. The ramen itself was very tasty and perfectly cooked! The lady was nice enough to let us use it for dine in since we don't ever do pick up or delivery. We were surprised at the restaurant was not crowded since it was a Friday night at dinner time. When we walked in the restaurant, we were the only people there. A few minutes later a party of Two walked in for Diane and then there was a guy that came in all by himself to pick up an order. We started off with a Japanese calamari appetizer. It was not seasoned at all just a little bit of salt. It really could use some other flavors. They gave us plain mayonnaise to dip it in, it was OK, but I was hoping that there would've been a nice specialty sauce.. My husband and I both had the chicken Ramen. It was just average. I don't think I would eat that again if I came here. It shocked me to see Sherri tomatoes floating in the soup. The broth had no flavor. It really needs some spices when they're cooking it. The table has Sriracha, fresh garlic, and red pepper flakes that you can add to your food which I did. There are a lot of menu options, so we might be back to try something else. We were unhappy that the appetizer came out a minute before our soup came to the table.

Well- let's just say he wasn't too warm or welcoming and could barely grunt a greeting. Hmm. We were quickly seated in a very japanese-looking restaurant (a good sign). We ordered two apps - the chicken karaage and the agedashi tofu. I ordered the spicy tonkatsu pork ramen (not on their web menu, but still...). First demerit- my ramen arrived before the apps did. Seriously. Seriously? Me with a main dish and my hubby/friends bereft of food? Oh wow. I didn't touch it until the apps arrived a couple minutes later - finally their mains arrived. Yay. The apps? Well, the chicken karaage was really fried chicken breast meat (no bones; not a prob for me, but hubby - a japanese man by birth- was not impressed). The agedashi tofu was yummy and quite good. Nice! Ok- my ramen was - yes- spicy and oily, as any good ramen should be. The bad part? I could tell the bean sprouts weren't fresh as my sensitive digestive tract let me know - fast- that the sprouts were "not" fresh. Yikes. Not a good thing - hence the demerit. Ok- first- we may come again. But gosh. the workers really need to be a bit happier to be there- or - if they can't be pleasant - keep them out of the public's eye. That would be a big help- after all, this was our first visit- and it wasn't too welcoming - it would have offset the bad sprouts, you know?
