Lucky me came across this place one day trying to find something spicy, yummy, authentic, made with love and affordable. *They are CLOSED ON TUESDAYS.* Mon., Wed., Thurs., Fri. and Sat. Open from 11am - 3:30pm (close for 1 hour so employees can take lunch) re-open at 4:30pm until 9pm Sundays they are open from 12:00pm - 3:30pm (close for employee lunch) re-open at 4:30pm until 9pm. They do take phone orders. They can get pretty busy, so just keep that in mind. I promise the food is worth the wait! Walking in you automatically can tell this place has its own charm. From the decor, to the lighting, to the live music. It's a small, welcoming restaurant with about 12 tables. The employees are very sweet, attentive, and make great recommendations! I usually call in to order a yellow chicken curry to-go, it comes with a small side of rice. The portion of the curry is enough for two separate meals for me. I usually eat half the curry with the small side box of rice they give. Then save the rest of the curry for later when I cook some more rice. Keeps me more than full, some might say puts me in a slight food coma lol. The curry has potatoes, onions, carrots, peppers, and with my choice of protein which is usually chicken. They have spice levels 1 - 10, with 3 being medium for those who can't tolerate much spice. I usually get spice level 6, and it comes with the kick that I am looking for! I like my things Spicy to where my sinuses get some relief. Hahaha. If you do not like spice where your nose drips slightly, I would recommend 4 or lower. (They do not exchange your food if you choose a higher level and can not tolerate the spice, so tread lightly my friends!) I have also tried their pad Thai noodles, Tom yum Krung soup hot pot, and their gyoza. Portion of the pad Thai noodles are good, the flavor was definitely there. The Tom yum krung had shrimp, mushrooms, tomato and other veggies. The gyoza was typical as most restaurants, good nonetheless. They usually have different flavors of soju available, I usually go with strawberry or grapefruit I believe it is. Still lots to try from this menu! You've been sleeping if you haven't tried Sun's. Sun's was a burst of flavors that many other Thai restaurants lack. When I was there, they had a free drunken noodles with $70 purchase deal. Lunch specials on weekday. I'll be a returning customer to try more of their offerings. Live music on the weekends! The only thing that sucks is that their to go takes very long. Mood - Self Reflection My relationship with food comes from years of things not always being in my best interest. Isn't it funny how food never judges you. Food is always consistent with what it provides. It entices the senses. Sight/ Touch/ Smell/ Taste/ and Hearing ( yes that crunch sometimes provides solace) Upon entering was quickly greeted and ushered over to a table. We were agreed if there were any questions. Great little hole in the wall for Thai food. I always stop by when in town as they make the best pad thai. Its flavorful sauce with an abundance of succulent noodles reminds me time and again what a good pad thai is suppose to taste like. This is my first time eating here because I just happened to be in this part of the city and thought I'd give it a try. The restaurant is located in a small plaza close to a freeway exit and easy to access.  The decor is simple and feels homely. We were greeted and seated right away. We ordered Pad Thai, and it was quite delicious. I was worried the Pad Thai would be too sweet, too mushy, or just full of noodles. However, there was a nice ratio with the other ingredients! The drunken noodles were a little spicy to my taste, but they were very yummy. The green curry was so flavorful and full of veggies and herbs, paired well with hot steamed rice. They also gave us complimentary shrimp tempura and gyoza, which were delicious as well.  The service and staff were nice and quick. Excellent live music with the guitarist.  I'll definitely go back to this restaurant again. read more

Cozy ambience in the North of Las Vegas. There is a stage and a performer so I assume they have some sort of entertainment. Selection was wide. I was specifically craving for Pad Thai. This is a quickie for my thai foodies out there. Strictly based off of delivery only. If you do not know, Sun's has been around for a very long time. She is known for her AMAZING jerkey. You can also see her booth at Downtown Summerlin when they have thier farmwrs market. Her restaurant is located inside the Carl's Jr. Plaza on Craig and Decatur next to Pizza Hut. Ordering is always a breeze. We use the Yelp app, and so far she gets it right all the time. The food here always arrives on time, hot, and as ordered. Want the real heat, you get it. Just ask for thai pepper vs crushed. Makes a HUGE difference people! The food Authentic. We get Tom Sap, sticky rice, jerkey, and som tom (lao style) And everytime, it come just right. Ran an errand nearby so I thought I'd check out this place. It is located in a plaza with a small sign in front which is easy to miss. The vibes there is fun. It is fully decked; once you step foot inside, you'd feel like you have gone somewhere tropical, which is a fun way to take a mental break from the busy life outside while you have some food. The staff are all Thais cuz we can hear them talk since it wasn't too busy. My wife also spoke to them in Thai, so they are Thais for sure They have lunch specials for $9.99 that includes a soup or salad with your entrees. I noticed on the menu that the soup or salad is not when you order the listed noodle dishes, so pls check what's included with the lunch special just to make sure. I ordered the lunch special chicken pad thai ($9.99) and they gave me a smal cup of soup anyway. The food: the chicken pad thai was good, just a little wet for my preference. (Pad Thais in Thailand is more dry, which is what i was hoping for). The flavor was good though and I gobbled it down, no problem. The cup of soup was the hit and sour soup and it was delicious! Definitely one of the best I have had! Be forewarn though cuz it is a little spicy if you don't like that kind of heat. My wife had the beef pad see ew. The beef was a little tough for me but the flavors of the fish was very good. She inhaled it before I could try a second bite! Jk--she had already dished out a small plate for me to try . After that, she was like, "nom nom nom!" We were too full to try any of their desserts but the options looked very yummy: sticky rice and mango, fried bananas. fried bananas with ice cream (FBI), gree tea ice cream, etc. They also have a large selection of other drinks too, so come thirsty and really for some yumminess! They also have homemade beef jerky here! I am on a "no meat" plans and did not try it. However, I will next time. The bathroom was decent enough. They should hide all the cleaning supplies though but at least I know they keep it clean. If you are in the area, definitely give them a try. I met her years ago at a food festival and enjoyed her warm, friendly personality. She sold me on jerky and mentioned she had a restaurant. Because I like seafood, I tried her Thai Seafood Salad and the fried Tilapia. As a person of habit, I continue ordering the same thing because I love it! My daughters love the Curry. read more

We called and made a reservation for 3, we arrived and we were promptly seated. Our server was SO nice and answered all our questions and told us that their "3" is a medium spice level. We ordered everything at a 3 and some items came out a tiny but spicier than others but still the food was so good!! We had: - Tom Yum Kai - Papaya Salad - Drunken Noodle with Beef - Spicy Eggplant with Tofu The soup was SO good, I really feel like it's the best I have had so far. Would be 5 stars.... however. I have been coming here for well over a decade... and the food is amazing... and reasonably priced. But they need to update their hours on the sign. It is now hit or miss. Twice now, co-workers and I have come to eat during posted hours and they are closed with no notice posted... I have come other times in the same few weeks, and they are open. This use to be one of our favorite spots!!! I just ordered a carry out of Panang Curry Heat level 2/ medium. It was way to hot to eat!!! I called to have them fix it. They said they couldn't because I left the building with it!!! And told me they didn't put any heat in it. I've been coming here for about 7 or 8 yrs now and have never had a problem. This is a hidden gem that I am mad I just discovered. It was so good I went on Thursday and came back on Saturday. It is a nice cute spot, I really enjoyed the music videos playing! The Service both times I went was impeccable Thursday night. Joe assisted me and he was so nice so knowledgeable and gave me some really good feedback on the menu. He answered my questions gladly, and assist me with order. Today I don't know the young ladies name, but she was equally as pleasant and gave her honest feedback on the menu as well as recommendations. The service was top-notch. It was in another language but it was soo good. I got the Thai Beef Jerky, Vegetable Egg Rolls, and Drunken Noodles on Thursday. I had never had thai beef jerky and expected something different but I was pleasantly surprised. It is basically tender steak strips fried and then tossed in some type of amazing seasoning and sauce. They give you a dipping sauce that is good also. The vegetable egg rolls were everything I needed them to be. They were crispy on the outside and very flaky, but very tender on the inside. Some might say mushy, but it was the perfect consistency and the crunchy and crispy with the content of the eggroll made it perfect. There was also a light sweet sauce to dip those which complemented vegetable eggrolls very well. The drunken noodles were so good and they were really spicy. I love spicy food and I got them. I think a level five and it was almost too much for me to handle. But because I like spice and the flavors were there I did not mind it at all so if you don't like spice, I would recommend a one. I was so pleased with my food on Thursday that I went back on today, which is Saturday and I got the pineapple fried rice and the beef jerky again. The beef jerky still did not disappoint. The pineapple fried rice was exactly what I wanted. It had curry powder, shrimp, chicken, cashews, green onions, regular onions, and was just perfect. It normally comes with raisins, but I got it without the raisins because I'm not a fan of raisins. But the combination of all those flavors and contents of the rice was so good. The only thing I would've liked to make it better would be a little bit of spice, but I'm OK with exactly how it came. I am excited to try more things off the menu and even though I live in Henderson and Sun's Thai is about 30-40 minutes away from my home, my daughter's dance studio is about five minutes from there so every time I go to her studio, I look forward to picking up food from there. Excellent restaurant! I thoroughly enjoyed the food, ambiance, and soothing jazz music that played while I dined here. I ordered the ginger chicken with mushrooms, pineapple fried rice, Thai tea, and fried bananas with vanilla ice cream for dessert. As soon as I took a bite of the ginger chicken, I began to nod my head, and I never stopped shaking my head as my taste buds loved everything I ate and drank. I have a low tolerance for spicy food and the level of spicy ranges from 1-10. I specified that I wanted my ginger chicken to be a three, and although tolerable, it was too spicy for me. A level 1 on the spicy scale was just right for me. I also liked that they give such large helpings. I had to get a to-go plate because I unwittingly ordered dinner for two without realizing it. The male staff member gave excellent service and emanated a welcoming vibe. He also steered me away from the sticky mango rice because it is out of season ( I appreciated his honesty). I love mangos, and I wanted to try the sticky rice. However, the male employee said he wouldn't recommend the sticky mango rice until May, when the mangos are sweeter. Sun's Thai have been at this location for so long and I haven't eaten here for a while. I decided to order online for take out on a rainy day. Everything I ordered is delicious. Most of the time when I order Pad Thai from other restaurants, they are so dry by the time I reach home. Not Sun's Pad Thai. The sauce was pre-mixed to keep it moist and is so tasty. Beef Jerky is kind of Tapa, so good, you have to pair it with a drink . I highly recommended this place. For take out, order online or by phone in advance at least 30-45 minutes. read more

The food here is AMAZING! I used to come here every Friday at 11/11:30. For the last few months the place is NEVER open at 11. The open sign is on, the hours are posted on the door....STILL NOT OPEN. I was a very loyal customer and now, I don't even bother because it's just plain rude and horrible service to not show up to work in time so the kitchen can be ready when you open!!! I love it! Me and my boyfriend come here when we are craving thai food, very spicy and worth a try!

Unfortunately, my fiancée and I came for a quick lunch. Ordered Tom Yum and Green Curry. The Tom Yum came first. We actually waited 10-15 minutes before i had to stand up to find my server so I can ask where the green curry was. After sometime the green curry arrived. Unfortunately, the Green Curry is anything but green and they used a chinese satay oil spice to heat up the dish rather than real spices. (The oil sitting on the top and the non green curry were dead give aways) Anyway, we paid for the meal as it's a small business but didn't eat the food because of the disappointment in the service and the dish. Overall not a great experience. I recommend using proper chilis in your recipes, and a better process for front of the house. The server seemed to have his hands full with only 2 tables. To top it off, the owner "sun" who advertises her face on the restaurant seemed to not care about the experience her customers were having. We were very verbose and literally talking to the server 2 ft from her. I'd question an establishment with an owner that doesn't care much about the customers satisfaction. Based on previous reviews and my experience here, i think the owner should really start taking these reviews and customers seriously, otherwise this restaurant will lose a lot more business. read more

Ordered their appetizer sample plate. Chicken Pad Thai was our favorite dish. Beef salad was very good, love the extra lime added. Combination thai fried rice, also very good. Ordered all dishes at level 5 spicy, would recommend to order lower level spice if your spice tolerant isn't that great. I can usually handle medium but 5 was a bit spicy lol.
