This is the best place for breakfast in Silverthorne. We've eaten here dozens of times and never left disappointed, unhappy, or in lower spirits than when we entered. The upbeat, bustling diner atmosphere and cheerful decorations always help start our morning or afternoon on the right note! It's unnecessary to detail every dish (literally everything we've ever ordered has been delicious), but I can tell you our all-time favorites include: the salmon benedict, trout and eggs, the breakfast burrito, any helping of their crispy hash browns, the snowboarder's breakfast sandwich, and often whatever the daily special is. Always on point. You can't really go wrong with any of the food choices! Also, the bread pudding and the cinnamon roll are both heavenly -- and huge. Of course, this place is nothing without their friendly, personable, and hardworking staff. Love everybody here! Some mornings we waltz in at 9 and can get a table immediately, some days (like today) we go elsewhere after seeing the restaurant is packed full *and* with a large line at 7:20. Either way, Sunshine is our favorite breakfast spot in town. read more

For a little town in the mountains this was not bad at all. They had a good option and this was so great! The food was okay but if you are hungry I suggest coming here :) you can find some decent vegan food and options here. I am a vegan and next time I pass through here I might stop here again. You can also get a couple of other things here if you wanted but this looked the best. read more

Might be the best spot in the area for breakfast! Food comes out quick and hot and delicious. As always, my go to is the Huevos Rancheros and this place has it down. It's assembled a bit more fancy than your traditional Huevos but it still has the typical taste and experience. Also, if you've never had one, get a Grilled Muffin. They are soooo good! read more

Delicious breakfast before going snowshoeing. I had the French toast and eggs. French toast slices were huge, fresh and tasty. The eggs were so so-sunny side up but weak looking. The service was top notch-she also gave us a great recommendation of where to hike. Thank you! read more

Everything is good. We interrupted our road-trip and came off highway 70 knowing we could get the Salmon Benedict and the Trout and eggs. It's a great #1 breakfast place. Nice atmosphere too! We've been stopping in here for many years! If you're in the area you should stop in! read more

Was showing some properties in Dillion and stumbled upon this place. Entering the host was incredibly welcoming and helpful suggesting drink options. The lady got the famous sunshine bloody marry and I a cold Bud Light. I then ordered the 14'er salad which was large enough to feed a small family for only $14. I recommend this stop when traveling through town, you wont be disappointed. Small town vibes!! A++++ read more

We had a predicted 45 minute wait, it's beautiful sunny 70° worth the wait! I had the corned beef hash OMG it was so so good. My egg came perfect as ordered nice and buttery and the hash browns yummy! My daughter had the biscuits and gravy tasted good but it came out not hot. read more

Friendly Quick service from all the staff. Our server Estina was excellent and attentive. We split delicious Huevos Rancheros and a wonderful blueberry muffin that had a perfect crunch on the outside. Finally a place that also makes crispy hash browns just the way we like them. Good coffee too- not bitter. Must wear masks. Thankful to see them Operating at 50% and cautiously keeping six feet separation with patrons. Great place and definitely will return. read more

Service was fine. The food was not great. We had biscuits and gravy and it was horrible. It was gooey in the middle, cold, and bland tasting. The scrambled eggs on the side were way over cooked and cold as well. They let me reorder pancakes and eggs. The pancakes were fine and then eggs were warm this time but still over cooked. We are fairly easy to please with food, but we were so disappointed. read more

The food is very good. Before ordering we noticed the portions seemed generous and looked appetizing. We shared the generous Buckboard Burger (seemed about a 1/2 lb. (?) of fresh ground beef, w/mushroom, grilled onions & avocado), fries on the side ($12.95) and ordered the generous Lunch Side Salad ($7). Came here for brunch with my boyfriend before our hike in Dillon. This place reminds me of First Watch back in Kansas! Everything was so yummy and fresh! The server was very helpful and nice to us. When I'm in Colorado I want pork green chili. I want it alone in a soup bowl or covering my breakfast. This place did not have good pork green chili so for me it's back to the Mountain Lyon Cafe where IMO it's the very best in the area. Service here was excellent and possibly over friendly? They were just so cheerful. I'm not complaining, just not used to it. read more

Was here with a client and really did not know what to expect. I saw a variety of items that looked but ended up with the veggies galore and egg. I asked for the hash browns to be crisp and they were on par with that. The veggies, wow they really gave a great portion size and the flavor, the blend of vegetables and the taste was simply outstanding. The service was great, but really enjoyed the vegetable mix. My wife and I were driving through on our way to Steamboat and quickly looked up a place for lunch. Score! Walking in the décor was very nice and the restaurant is very well kempt. Awesome atmosphere. We both decided on the Baby Doe Tabor sandwiches. Delicious! Juicy, tasty meat - must slice it themselves - paired so nicely with sourdough bread that was perfectly toasted. The service was very prompt, attentive and friendly. Will be back. read more

Terrible food even worse service. New management/ownership is god awful. Biscuits were so dry my dogs wouldn't even eat them( yes we took the food with us after they insisted on charging us even though they didn't even attempt the correct the issue and only one bite had been taken)!! If I could give negative stars I absolutely would. There's too many other options in the area to tolerate the poor customer service attempts. read more

Great food, OK price, good service. We had chicken fried steak and eggs, Philly cheese and a great salad. All were very good to excellent and everything was a nice presentation especially the salad with the sides all separate and nicely prepared (bacon, cheese, chicken). Ample portions. Had to wait about 20 minutes on a rainy cold Tuesday at 1:30 PM. Have to believe weekends, nice days and peak times most likely have a long wait. Place was very clean, including immaculate bathroom and witnessed an employee wiping down window ledges (an indication of care and thoroughness). Will absolutely return. read more

We are newly remodeled and expanded so if you havent been to Sunshine Cafe since May of 2016, you are in for a nice surprise. The owners, Mike and Tenley are longtime Colorado residents who love to share their joy of food and hospitality with all our guests. We have recently expanded and remodeled so we would love to share our story with you as we continue to legacy of Sunshine Cafe in Summit county. We are always willing to listen to feedback on how to continue to improve this community icon and hope that you come visit us and share your old Sunshine stories or stop in to become our newest locals.

The burger was delicious, juicy and a real treat. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff was helpful, engaging and working hard to service the crowd. Eclectric Bar and Grill is not fancy, but a solid option in the burger scene. Give them a chance and judge them for yourself.

My friend ordered a burger that was supposed to come with lettuce, blue cheese, and the works. Instead, it arrived with just chicken and bread. That was it. No toppings at all. The water we were given was also incredibly dirty -- it literally looked grey. Service somehow managed to be both overwhelming and nonexistent. While we were eating, the waiter came back to the table every couple of seconds so we couldn't even have a conversation. But when we were actually ready for the check, suddenly there was no waiter anywhere and we fwaited about 15 minutes. On top of that, every request got mixed up. I asked for blue cheese and after about 10 minutes the waiter came back with ranch. Then I asked for lemon vinaigrette (which the meal was supposed to come with) and instead got honey mustard. After explaining again, she came back with... even more honey mustard. We also paid $10 for fries with green chili and received about 15 fries. And one more thing when paying they did NOT bring my card back for about 20 minutes. It was also extremely dark where we were sitting all of the surrounding lights were off but everywhere else in the resteraunt was perfectly fine Overall the food quality, service, and attention to orders were extremely disappointing. Definitely not an experience I'd repeat don't waste your money here.

Hands down THE WORST customer service ever gotten . I walked in with my husband to get done breakfast in on a busy Saturday morning . Was told by a greeter taking reservations that there's immediate seating at the counter . As we were moving towards the counter, the owner Tinley condescendingly told us that the middle seat on the counter is occupied, with the only 2 remaining starts at the counter not being adjacent to each other. We left, given Tinley's attitude which, both verbally and non- verbally communicated her unwillingness to accommodate us by moving the customer in the middle who - was not started eating, his good was not ready, and he was in the bathroom at the moment of our arrival . When we left, without apology from anyone - I called Tinley asking for some explanation for her behavior . She simply said, once more without apologizing- " I was not gonna move my customer ." Tinley clearly did not care, everything about the lady was saying "I have a place full of people and I can afford to not care about 2 customers." I'm a local property owner who brings a lot of people to Summit County year round. As a successful business owner , I'm not begrudging this honest logistical mistake on Tinley's part- rather her totally dismissive attitude about trying to attempt to accommodate a brand new customer. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the potatoes were very good, and the hollandaise sauce had great flavor. While sitting at the counter, we spent some time talking with our server. She told us she had been there since shortly after the diner first opened. Unfortunately, she also explained that the building is scheduled to be demolished so condos can be built above the property, and they are unsure whether the diner will be able to return afterward. It's honestly sad to hear about a place this good possibly being pushed out because of rising development and rental costs. I understand building owners want to maximize profits, but it's disappointing when small local businesses that people truly enjoy are forced out by higher rents and redevelopment. Places like this are what give towns character. Overall, this place was excellent. Great food, friendly people, and exactly the kind of local spot you hope to find while traveling.

However, immediately after this interaction, another group of people who appeared around our age (we're in our 30s) sat down and Ben served them alcohol without asking for ID at all. When we asked him about it, he simply shrugged and ignored us. We then asked if we could at least get a Red Bull, since it's non-alcoholic. Ben refused and walked away. When we asked the other bartender if she could grab one for us, Ben came up behind her and told her not to serve us because we didn't have IDs even though we were only asking for a Red Bull. Thankfully she was kind enough to help us anyway. The most shocking part happened shortly after when one of Ben's friends came in. Ben began talking negatively about us right in front of us, calling us rude? Within earshot while we were sitting at the bar. When we confronted him and asked what the issue was, he threatened to kick us out of what he called "his bar." We asked to speak with a manager and explained the situation. The level of rudeness and unprofessional behavior from Ben was honestly shocking. Ignoring guests, being sarcastic and dismissive, refusing basic non-alcoholic service, and then openly insulting customers in front of them is completely unacceptable in any hospitality environment.
