I probably went ti this place, once or twice, the food is atrocious, disgusting, this place is a shame, show main was like bright neon orange rubber bands, sushi was super chewy, Beef and broccoli, the beef was like chewy and the broccoli was beyond over cooked, the servers are very rude , if you ask for help they ignore you, oh!! And they will not give you a refund, if you ask for one , they will most likely kick you out , don't waste your money there, just go to Dynasty on 10th or Chinese kitchen on 11th av by the transfer station, those i recommend, servers treat you like a king, food is amazing, restaurant is Thoroughly clean , and price is excellent, excellent service exceptional. read more

Disclaimer: I am not important nor should you let one person's opinion sway you. Enjoy. I have been curious about this place since I started dating my now wife. So like 10 plus years I think. Finally tried it today... where to start... well I have given it some thought and I had to weed through the me issues vs the them issues... and I think I have it. Today was a Sunday... probably the most expensive day for Asian buffets as they do seafood all day and charge that. $13.29 is fair I suppose no complaints there. They charged my 2 year old 2.99.... I guess that is fair too. The food all looked good... but most of it was meh. The things that I tried that were good was the crab legs (hard to mess up) and the green beans. The stuff that I had that was okay... chicken on a stick, the white fish, and the sushi (mainly of the California roll verity). Oh and the two other chicken dishes I tried were ho hum too. The stuff that I had that was bad... Fried Shrimp (was a bit raw in the middle had to spit it out), noodles, pork chop too dry, the egg roll (squishy and too peppery in the middle like it was still frozen when they friend it and pulled it out too soon), the shu mai was dry, and beef was dry. I didn't have any of the pizza but even though looked under cooked... My 2 year old main ate the white rice and garlic bread that looked like it was out for a bit... she didn't touch the bright orange noodles or the bright orange fried rice. The stench of oil is strong outside the Super Buffet..... Asian Buffets are always a coin toss.. either they are better than average or crap.. this one was crap. Curiosity killed this cat. meow nope! Came in with family only to see the majority of the male workers lined up against the wall at the end of the buffet looking dumb, lost and unprofessional. Which explains why the pizza was cold and hard, the macaroni was very low and had obviously been sitting too long, several other food items were very low and needed replenishing. The crawdads are waterlogged making them overcooked due to letting them sit in water and are also way over spiced hot from too many jalapenos. The manager lacks food knowledge skills. We had the worst experience today. it was during lunch and my sister had gotten there before me so i just had gotten a plate of food when my sister was going to take a spoonful from the fried rice and there was a big bug in there she took it to the manager and all he said was sorry. We asked for our money back but he said no. We hadnt ate any food and he was really arguing with us. Man, I hope I don't get sick from this place. I was craving a protein fest, and decided on super buffet. Last time I came here it was actually decent, like 3 years ago. Everything looked good upon walking in, especially with their selection. But, as you walk closer there are only a couple of things that look decent. Wrong! If you like your food incredibly greasy and unsanitary come here. Especially with all the kids doing what they want with the food. I went to the register and it came out to $13: yes it is expensive, but for a buffet, a sushi/crab-legs/ Sunday lunch, this is okay, I think. So I paid and went to the table that I was led to: there were about 20-30 seats for parties of 4 or more, which is great: I got a table for four all by myself (yes I went by myself). Now comes the food: They had dimsum!!! whoo! not Ocean Star's dim sum, but still dim sum! They had egg tarts, which was really good, pork shu mai (meh), dumplings (meh), crab wontons (HEAVEN!!!!), and the white Chinese rolls (no flavor, just the way I like it! cleanse all the greasy, salty flavors of all the other food). They had a few American food like French fries, beef, mac and cheese, and a few others... but their Chinese food (duh, its a Chinese restaurant) was pretty good! I had their Chinese vegetables (steamed cabbage), the beef and broccoli (SO GOOD!) their seafood-cheese dish (YUM!), chow mein (a little greasy but still yummy), and their shell seafood mix (pretty good). As I was eating my dish of greasy, salty, Chinese food, I was in heaven! Probably b/c I was starving, but every bite was happiness for me :) Service: My server/ waitress was middle-aged woman, and she was very friendly. She didn't come by often to check up on me, take the dishes, or replace my drinks, but I didn't really need her that much. Their green tea by the way is VERY good! green tea, oolong tea, whatever it is, I'm getting it again! She also found a crab cracker utensil for me too! Overall: I will totally comeback here again, most likely next Sunday b/c I want their crab/cheese wontons and their beef and broccoli.Oh! their creampuffs were pretty bomb too! Awful! Whole family spent the whole next day in the crapper. They had a Mongolian BBQ that we thought was going to be really cool, but it wasn't. My son and I tried it and it was a mistake. I almost didn't even taste it when I saw him put the raw meat for my son's bowl right next to my almost fully cooked meat. Thankfully, he made sure that all the meat was fully cooked before he took it off the grill, but the texture was rubbery and flavor was bland. This place stinks...stay away. read more

Salt and pepper shakers were nasty, greasy, and probably haven't been cleaned in months. Food while there's plenty, just doesn't quite capture what you may want to eat. Watch Out! Maybe they think they can charge extra and be sloppy with the cleaning and preparation because its the only game in town for Chinese buffet in the area. If you go a few miles east to Visalia, you have several more choices. Food is just as mediocre/poor, but at least the price is lower due to the competition, and fewer people have gotten sick. I plan ahead when I travel (campgrounds, trailheads mostly) and I used to avoid using electronics during the trip itself. After overpaying (kids hungry, didn't want to go elsewhere) getting my two kids and myself sick at this place last month, I now at least yelp every non-franchise before I walk through the door. I've been to some filthy disgusting and vomit inducing places, but this places Men's Room takes the cake! So I can only imagine what the women's room looks like. Because according to my wife the women's room is almost always worse. As for the food, it was hot when we got there but we were there during the diner rush. It also tasted about average for an all you can eat buffet. But we have had some trips where this wasn't true. This place is pretty average. It is the only chinese buffett in the immediate area, so I guess they're doing well in that department. The food wasn't the best ever, but it didn't suck either. They had a pretty good selection, even some more exotic things. The crab rangoon was AWESOME. Tip: You get your own drinks. Here we go again. I feel like my review of S B should be titled "My Yo-Yo Experience With Super Buffet". Today the yo-yo is at the top. Since my last (one star) review update, I have been back twice. The first, a few months ago, was back to the level of my first (4 Star) review. The second re-try of Super Buffet was today. Lunch with a friend. I was impressed. The food looked better than ever before- in freshness, eye appealing display, quantity of dishes being offered and just general pride of offering. The taste did not disappoint. There was not one dish that I tried that was poorly cooked or left out on the steam (or cold) tables too long. There were also some dishes offered that I had not previously see there. And everything tasted delicious. Service was exemplary, and I even spoke to management regarding the pleasant difference since my visit 3+ years ago, and that I again could recommend Super Buffet to my friends. The price, though a bit higher ($10.25 adult) is still very fair for the offering of such a large, eat as much as you want, meal. I hope this is the end of the yo-yo effect, But visit soon while they are doing such a good job. read more

Very rude customer service!!!! I'm from out of town and I went there with my family to try it out, the Mongolian BBQ was closed at 130 in the afternoon which I wish they would have said that before we paid. The guy was cooking food for the buffet part on the grill used for the Mongolian which does not make since. I asked the the girl in the front if I could take it to go beacuse I had a train to catch and she still wanted me to pay for it to go even though I had already paid for the food when I first came in. Worst food establishment I have ever visited. The girl at the counter which I guess was the "manager"did not even know it was closed. I convinced my husband to try this place out and I went with my 3 babies it was the worst I've ever been to the waitress had a rude attitude when I asked her if they take our drink orders or we serve if so where could we get our drinks from ? she looked at me like I'm a dumb person to begin with and then pointed at the soda machine area I ignored it and went on with serving my family the drinks and my husband wasn't too happy with the way she kept starring at us while we tried to eat the food was cold like if it was cooked long time ago it was just a bad experience for all of us for the price I think they should make an effort hiring people friendly waitresses and maybe one for every section the place is big inside and if you need assistance it's hard to get a waitress to help it's not something people should have an issue with at all read more

Decent place in the Hanford area. Growing up around here you get to know pretty much all of the buffet restaurants and chinese food places. Didn't discover this one until a year after it was opened, but overall pretty decent food---or at least from the entrees I've eaten. Kinda grungy looking place---pretty much old school. I say go for the lunch specials and if you are wanting take-out, show up here instead of calling! They have some great walk-in take-out specials. Don't really eat dinner here cause the prices go up much more. The cool thing is that their lunch prices are until 5pm, so plenty of time to show up and save a couple of bucks. Service wise, eh---they can get slightly stingy on the amount of food you order. My family LOVES to eat, so we barely take left overs home---after the few times we've been there they've gotten to know us so they are pretty chill. My boyfriend and I ate here on a recommendation from his boss. Worst mistake ever. The cashier at the front was a nice girl. Other than that the rest of the staff is no help. You choose your own seat and get your own drinks, there's a ton of workers just standing around sitting on their phones. There was a a girl worker standing behind our table but didn't pick up our used plates once! She would walk by and look at our plates and would continue to walk by! Super Buffet used to be the place to go when it was time for some good ole fashioned Chinese/American style buffet. I live in Visalia and I love a good Chinese food buffet so when I got the craving for it I would make it a point to go to Hanford since our only equivalent is the very low grade King's Buffet. Super Buffet has sadly gone downhill, though. Their selection has mostly remained the same throughout the years, but their food quality and taste has gotten pretty bad compared to what it once was. Don't get me wrong; I will still go and dine there on occasion, but they are just a shadow of their former glory. If you really want a treat and you're in the mood for Chinese/American buffet cuisine then you should really consider a trip to Fresno to go try Tang Dynasty. read more

When reading the reviews on this Buffet I thought I would take a chance. As there is a Chinese Buffet in Reedley that's good not bad for a Buffet. Plus Super Buffet had good comments about their Sushi and fish. For lunch it is over priced, so I thought it would be good and I was hungry! Yes there is a large verity of food, tables and tables. Sushi was nasty, Salmon was bland didn't even taste like Salmon. Mind you it all looked good so I tried a small amount of each dish. OMG NOT good at all!!! The battered food was more batter then shrimp, the vegetable tempera was hard on one side. Even the sweet breads and desserts were bad. I should of went to Panda Express or Sizzler at least there you can't go wrong. read more
