My friend and I came to try their pork and chive dumplings, and it was good. We walked up to the front to place our order. The lady was working hard calling out the made orders, while also taking new orders. We got 105. Steamed Pork and Chive Dumplings. Once we got our number, we stood in the back to wait. The space is tight, and tables are grab as you go. We got lucky to snag a table right on time. The dumplings were good. The dough here is chewier and thicker, and the filling was also tender. It is not my favorite dumpling in Chinatown, but it is good.
Super great food! Spicy kick to the soup. I wish I would have known I was ordering soup before I did. Overall it was good!!! Nice workers, quick service.
Came to get some cheap eats during the cold front and well, we were able grab a table right before the rus. We opted for the dry spicy noodles, beef noodle soup, bamboo app, xiao long bao and fried dumplings (we weren't even hungry) Well, I wouldn't order the bamboo app next time. My friend said the beef was a little tough for some parts and there was a lot of noodles. Soup flavor was good and tasty. I will be ordering the boiled dumplings next time and also, no expectations here. Gets the job done.
I had this place saved for awhile but am rarely in the area so I was super to come here for a mini food crawl with my friends. We wanted something different to dumplings and noodles since we were getting that from other places that day. The pork bao really stood out to us. We were very surprised how popular this place was with the line going out the door and people waiting outside hoping to grab a seat. The day we went, it felt like they were running a bit behind so that contributed to the long waits outside. I noticed a lot of people who were seated asking the staff about their order. They were in the 20's and my order was mid-30 so they've been for quite a while. Our single order of pork baos did take a while too - maybe 15 minutes. I was lucky to have snagged a seat when this other group was leaving. The pork was flavorful and melt in your mouth tender. The sprinkled scallions and peanuts really helped magnify the flavors. I'm really keen to come back and try their other dishes and noodles.
**CASH ONLY** This is a small hole in the spot, there's not a lot of seating but I feel like turnover is pretty quick since there are no frills, people just sit to eat. I got an order of pork dumplings, they were cheap and filling. They came out super juicy and tasted great with the black vinegar sauce they offer. I wish there was more of a variety you can get for each order because it could get tiring eating a big portion of dumpling by yourself but for the price you really can't complain!
I've been coming here for years (my first time was maybe a decade ago??) but somehow never reviewed it. The fried pork and chive dumplings are delicious and flavorful--they're always freshly fried to order (which can't be said of every dumpling joint around Chinatown). The burning noodles aren't actually all that spicy but they can last two meals, and those noodles are very filling! Great flavor, but I also love loading up on the chili oil. The sesame noodles were good as well, but I think maybe the burning noodles are more interesting. The burning noodles with pork comes with ground pork so it's not quite like the bigger chunks of chicken if you choose chicken. $6.50 for ten fried dumplings and around $11 for burning noodles. Service is quick but brusque; cash is better than card. It's often pretty busy but the line moves fast and folks do share tables sometimes because this spot is small! I think it's a really solid spot, maybe a 4.5?, although it isn't perfect. I've got more than a few favorite dumpling spots around, but this one is definitely up there. Highly recommended if you're in the mood for dumplings or noodles!
Cash only under $12. No restrooms. Tipping not needed. Ladies are friendly You order you sit and they bring it out. Quick and delicious!! Prices are so reasonable! It was pouring outside and went in for a hot bowl of noodle! It hit the spot!! Don't forget to try chili oil!
The fried pork and chive dumplings here have amazing flavor! They're sort of haphazardly formed though. One of mine actually had opened up so the meat and wrapper separated. But I'll forgive them because the taste was so good! Inside is small and it was sort of awkward standing next to diners sitting at tables while I was awaiting my order. Next time maybe I'd place my order ahead of time but I would absolutely get these dumplings again!
CLASSIC Chinatown spot. I always make a stop at Supertaste for the dumplings, hot sesame noodles, Dan Dan soup noodles are good as well. Although do be careful eating I've found a piece of wood in my noodles before.. first time happening of the many times I've been there so I wasn't too psyched out about it. They have a very extensive menu of noodles and dumplings, everything is relatively cheap or good priced for the quantity and quality of the meal you're getting. DO BE PREPARED for a wait to get a table inside, everything is packed closely together and the tables can turn communal if it gets too packed. Super fast and busy setting in the restaurant. You order at the front get a number and sit down and wait for the food. It is CASH ONLY unless your order is over $12.
This may seem like your typical mom and pop shop in Chinatown with super tasty food. It's tiny and crowded, but there are a couple tables to sit down and eat with AC. I ordered the Steamed Dumplings ($5.50) and Fried Dumplings ($6.50) for take out and it was ready within a few minutes. Each order came with 10 pieces, which was filling for one. Even though they're busy, they're pretty quick for a fast meal or pick up. I normally enjoy fried over steamed, but was surprised how good the steamed dumplings were here. The filling is flavorful and packed with meat inside. It was perfect even without the chili oil and vinegar sauce, but that definitely made it even tastier. The steamed dumplings really shined for me with its simple and clean flavors. The fried ones are also great and it's funny how they didn't even pleat them at all, yet the fillings stay inside. I'd love to come back to try their noodles too next time. Loving these tasty dumplings!
FYI: $12 credit card min + no bathrooms! This spot is a hole in the wall that gets super packed. You order + pay at the counter then wait for a table to open up. I'd def rec their dumplings, as that's what they're known for. Their dry noodles are good too. Their soup noodles are just ok, nothing special. They gave ample beef, which was nice and their noodles are nice and chewy. While it's good, there are def a lot of other Chinatown spots that taste just the same, so don't fret if you get discouraged by how busy it is. Unfortunately, this spot got super gentrified :(

Okay. Hear me out when I say this place is LEGIT. I found this place on TikTok and had to try it for myself as everyone raved on its prices & authenticity. Located in the heart of ChinaTown, this very small family owned eatery will blow the minds of your tastebuds. We opted for 3 orders of the Sichuan dumplings and an order of hot sesame noodles. The 10 piece dumpling is priced at a staggering $6.95!! The price can't be beat. The dumplings come in a bowl style dish drenched in a delicious & savory sichuan broth with cilantro, peanut powder & scallions. It's criminally GOOD!!! The hot sesame noodles is a generous portion priced at $6.95!! Insane! Topped with ground pork & picked cabbage, this dish offers excellent flavor and will be sure to satisfy any craving. If you want authentic & cheap eats. This is the place! The restaurant is very small, clean & service was friendly. Definitely a "hidden" gem.

We got the fried dumplings ($4.75 for 5 dumplings is a great deal!) but we saw others getting rice and noodle dishes, which I'd like to try another time. If you choose to dine here, I'd only ask that you remove your garbage/clean up after yourself - many patrons just left leaving piles of garbage, making it hard for others to be seated and for the workers to manage the already hectic dining room space. read more
Absolutely worth the hype! Huge generous portions for a great price. This is a tiny little spot, order at the counter and maybe 8 small tables to sit. They will bring your food out to you. My partner and I both ordered the DanDan noodles with chicken which came out to around $11 and was huge. Super delicious. Would absolutely return. read more
No frills spot. Busy but quick considering the line! Everyone seemed to really enjoy their meal. There is some seating in the space, first come first served. The food was so yummy, I am looking forward to returning! The hot sesame noodles were great, they cooled down relatively quickly so I would suggest eating them faster than we did. The spicy Sichuan style dumpling with chives and cilantro were so good and also had great reheat-ability. All in all, these dishes came out to around $13. read more

I had an overall nice experience at Super Taste! Being one of the more popular and "sanitized" options in Manhattan Chinatown, it was pretty busy, with the six or so tables inside filled with patrons and a few people out the door. Despite this, the line moved fast and efficiently and we got our food in ~10 minutes. The pork 锅贴 (potstickers) were very affordable (but slightly undercooked) and the pork bao/tacos were a personal favorite. This place is primarily known for their dry noodles, which I will try the next time I go. Overall, solid pick with some minor gripes. Ordering by saying the number, not the name, paying in cash, and taking t-go all add to a better experience IMO. read more
I heard so much about this place from nyc food bloggers and had to go. The restaurant itself is pretty small with limited seating but the food was bomb! I got the vegetable dumplings and had them with chili oil and soy sauce. The color was initially kind of alarming haha but the filling was stuffed with mushrooms, chives, and carrots. These dumplings are the best in Chinatown. I have not had good dumplings in a very long time. They were fresh, juicy, and crispy skin and not oily. Get the hot sauce and soy sauce!!!! The hot sesame noodles were delicious. The sauce is very thick and sticks to the noodles. It is a bit greasy. It was a nice experience to finally have delicious dumplings. But this place is very popular. We went on a Sunday evening and are waiting 30 mins for two items. But the wait will not stop me from going to get their food. I can not wait to go back to try their pork buns!!! It looks delicious in pics. read more
This place is a hole in the wall hidden gem that has delicious dumplings and noodles. This place is tiny but gets packed pretty much all day so you may have to wait a little before you get a seat. Please try their dumplings (either fried or steamed). Their soy sauce goes extremely well with the dumplings. All the hype about this place. today I'm having the house Special Noodle soup. And I asked him, can you make it a spicy sauce? The answer is yes. The house of noodles comes with beef, chicken, spare ribs, mutton, beef stew, and egg. On our Chinatown food crawl (covered 5 spots), these dumplings were my favorite dish, and Super Taste was my favorite restaurant. This has to be one of the best meals I've had in the city. The hot sesame noodles were perfectly chewy, with a rich sauce only enhanced by their chili oil. And the dumplings came out piping hot in a delicious broth. read more
It's a small shop specializing in dumplings. You get 10 dumplings for $5 only; that's 2 dumplings per dollar! We got the steamed chive and pork dumplings and the fried chive and pork dumplings. Out of these two, I would say the fried chive and pork dumplings were better, but the steamed ones were also very delicious. There is very limited seating indoors, and it was busy when we came (around 4:30 PM), so we ate outside while standing. I would come back again! read more
All the reviews for their pan-fried dumplings led me to try out this spot. Though very crispy, I did not find the meat to be too flavorful (but that was quickly remedied by dunking them in their tasty chili oil). Also tried their mapo tofu, which was a gigantic portion size for $5 (pretty sure they used an entire tofu in there). Would return to try their noodle dishes and other mala dishes. As a heads up, cash only for orders less than $12. There are around 8 2-4 person tables inside which fill up quickly, but there is rapid turnaround as the food comes out quickly. read more

Heard a lot about this place and their dumplings and noodles. I only had room to try their dumplings today so that's what the review will be about. I really liked the dumpling skin as that really stood out and had a nice tender crisp to it, kind of thin and almost like a taco, and the meat was so juicy and tender. However, the flavor of the pork/chives was kind of lacking and for some reason I didn't really taste either of those components too strongly, and have def had much better. However, it's at a great price point. Will want to come back and try their noodles which seems to be something they're more known for. Their hot sesame noodles get a lot of attention and they're offering a shallot variety that sounds interesting currently. You order off the menu in person, and pay before waiting for your order. If you're there to stay, they'll bring it out to you when it's ready and you leave the plates there when done. read more
It's been 10 years since I've had a chance to make it back to Super Taste, and it was everything I remembered, and warmed my taste buds and soul. Busy , small seating area cramped, loud inside with confused tourists, tons of delivery pick up people, and simultaneously filled with locals. I love it so much. read more

I found this place from social media and I was super excited to try it. First of all, this place is tiny and you kind of have to be assertive if you want to order at the counter or get a table. People are gathering towards the door - either waiting for an open table or for their carryout order. I ended up just ordering online and standing there to wait for my order. I got the steamed pork and chive dumplings ($5.50) and fried pork and chive dumplings ($6.75). If you pay online, there's also a $1 convenience fee. I never got a text that my order was ready, rather they just said my order number. I really enjoyed the dumplings! I can't decide whether or not I like the fried or steamed more. I definitely want to come back and try more items on the menu. read more
Came here 7pm on a Friday night and there was no line and multiple empty tables, but 5 min later it got super crowded. You order at the counter and then seat yourself, and they call out numbers when your food is ready. Surprisingly, they take card! We started off with the pork house bun which was my favorite bc the meat was super juicy and fatty, like a much cheaper but equally delicious version of the momofuku pork buns. I got the pork rib Knife cut noodles with House Special Soup, which was decent but not super memorable. Our food was called out in 5-10 min after ordering. First Impression- I found this spot from a Food Influencer's instagram post and thought I'd give it a try. I went down to Chinatown on my day off work and found the restaurant to be full (which meant it was popular) of locals but tiny in size (darn!) so I took my food to go. The staff was very brusk and no nonsense... so I made sure I knew my order ahead of time as I was standing in line. The Noms - I ordered the hot sesame noodles to go. Man... for a dish that is so simple and no meat at all... it was super satisfying and filling. I wish they had it with ground pork or something like that as an option, but I'm still super happy with my order In Conclusion- do you even have to ask? YES! I highly recommend and will definitely be back for more! read more

This is definitely a hole in the wall for Chinatown, however it was super busy on a Sunday during lunch. There was a line out the door but it went by pretty quick. There is very little seating. I tried the pork bao which is a must have with the fried dumplings. The pork melted in my mouth and I'm salivating thinking about it. The fried dumplings are almost like a Chinese taquito, but honestly this was also very delicious as well. Will come again for their noodle soup! read more

Walked in on a Saturday evening. The place got crowded within a few minutes and had a line almost out the door a few times during our stay. We were luckily able to grab a table so we were able to sit and enjoy the food. Ordered the steamed as well as fried pork & chive dumplings in addition to hot sesame noodles. Food came out fast. The steamed dumplings were juicy and tasty. The fried dumplings were personally my favorite. It wasn't as juicy as the steamed ones, however just as flavorful. The sesame noodles were my least favorite. Tasted heavily of peanut butter(?) which I personally did not like. It's more of my preference really - nothing against the restaurant or the dish. read more

One of the best deals in NYC: $5 for 10 juicy dumplings. Very limited seating inside and they're very busy so they take a while to clean up the tables. I just took my dumplings and sat on one kf the public tables outside. The dumplings were very filling and tasty! read more

Great Chinatown cheap eats spot! I love their steamed pork and chive dumplings. They taste amazing after putting chili sauce over them. It's best to get take the order to go since the seating is quite limited and the space is pretty small. Their noodles loll so good and I can't wait to come back to this place to try that out next time. read more
No frills, hole in the wall, so you know the dim sum is gonna hit. Also SOO cheap it's crazy. Pls keep the prices affordable ty. If you're lucky enough to show up when there is seating, you better grab that table quick bc there's most likely at least three other people trying to grab that table and eat at the same time. Lots of people just settle for takeout though (there's really no difference in preparing the food cause they serve it to you in togo containers). Tried the Sichuan Style Dumplings + the Shallot Oil Noodles and they were perfect, literally no complaints. read more

This place has solid Chinese food at great prices. I really enjoyed the Sichuan style dumplings which were packed with flavor and the right amount of spice. I'm not a big fan of pork, but the pork baos were melt in your mouth delicious. The peanuts were a great addition to the dish. The place is small so it can be hard to get a seat. read more

CASH ONLY Popped into super taste on a rainy day, a great-value place to get comfort food at a very affordable price! Orders are taken at the back of the restaurant, and they will come to serve you when the food is ready. I was able to get a whole feast for under $35 (excluding tip) : beef stew noodles, beef soup noodles, 10 pc pork dumplings, and pork Taiwan style rice ! I especially liked the pork Taiwan style rice -- for 7.50 it comes with a substantial amount of meat, a fried egg, and a bit of bokchoi. This a a great hole in the wall quick and cheap Chinese food. I had the 10 steamed gyoza and let me just say they were absolutely delicious! Made to order so they're fresh and hot. You can even buy a large bag of them if you want! The service is what you expect from a Chinese restaurant. Not you're fine dining, very to the point, quick and easy transaction. Highly recommend having cash on hand. Although they take card, just easier to pay in cash in Chinatown read more

Yes they do! I know they have some dishes that are made with rice vermicelli noodles and they also have some dishes where I think you can choose the type of noodle.
