a woman ordering food from a food truck

I must have eaten here on a good day because the Pad Thai hit the spot. Super Thai food truck is usually downtown, but they planned to park amongst office buildings in Burnaby last week so I gave them a chance. The line up was incredibly long considering it was the only food truck in the area so I had to wait 20 mins in line and for them to cook my food. I ordered the Pad Thai and I wasn't in the mood for spice so the flavors were exactly what I wanted. Coconut milk, peanut carbs. My coworker felt it needed a little more heat though. My plate was loaded with a lot of chicken and tofu as well. It was $9 well spent.

Got the chicken Pad Thai. It tasted very salty, without much other flavour, and all the noodles stuck together in clumps, making the texture kind of gross. There is raw cabbage at the bottom of the container, which is a bit odd. There was one piece of chicken and three mini cubes of tofu in my pad Thai. I ate the veggies and chicken/tofu then threw out the noodles.

When it comes to Thai food, pad Thai is the measuring stick to judge all kitchens by. So of course that's what I tried when I visited this food truck for the first time. My order was made fresh and was very flavorful. It was more spicy than sweet. In fact I've never had spicy pad Thai anywhere so this was unexpected. For my average palate it was too much heat so I didn't enjoy it fully. I also found the portion size lacking. For $10 it could have been more filling. After all, rice noodles are dirt cheap. And there wasn't much chicken either. If you like medium spice, this is for you. Personally, I doubt I'll be back for more.

They came to my work today and the food was so good! I had the red curry and the spring rolls. I liked how the curry had a bit of spice to it!

It's really disappointing. I got their cahswe chicken. Waited at least 20 mins. And its way too SALTY!!!! It also tastes burnt. They really have to improve on how they cook their food cuz they are almost unpalatable.

Had their chicken pad Thai on several occasions and really liked it. If you don't mind the very salty taste, you'll probably enjoy it.

The chicken satay was definitely very good, flavorful and tender. The peanut sauce goes very well with the meat. Downside was the calamari, the pieces are quite big which make it not as crispy as it would be. Our favorite was the salmon penang curry. the coconut flavor of the curry together with the sweetness make it a very well balanced item. it went very well with the jasmine rice. We also tried the mango sticky rice. the warm sticky rice went perfectly well with the sweetness of the mango. very well made I would love to visit again to try other items on the list which caught my eyes

Every time I come, I can feel the professionalism and attentiveness of the staff. From seating to ordering, and then to the care during the meal, everything is done with great finesse, making me feel comfortable and at ease. The unique politeness and meticulousness of Japanese service are naturally reflected here. The food is also a reason I want to come back. Whether it's the freshness of the ingredients, the presentation, or the taste, you can feel the attention to detail. Japanese cuisine emphasizes the quality of the ingredients themselves, and Miku presents this refinement beautifully. Every dish is pleasing to the eye and has a layered flavor. I also love the ambiance. The overall design is simple, elegant, and has a very comfortable Japanese aesthetic. The lighting, seating, and spatial layout all create a relaxing atmosphere without feeling overly decorated; instead, they have a high-quality feel. As for the atmosphere, I think it's what makes this place so special. Elegant and quiet, yet not too formal, it's suitable for dates or enjoying a good meal with friends. Sitting there slowly eating and chatting makes the whole dining experience particularly comfortable. After several visits, I still feel that Miku is a restaurant worth returning to again and again. It's not just because of any one dish, but because the service, cuisine, environment, and atmosphere combine to create a very pleasant experience every time I come.

The buffer beef is really good. Nothing I have ever tasted. It's vinegary, fresh, a bit salty and sweet. Not too sure how to describe it but it was good! The chicken wings are good as well. The lemon and peppery dipping sauce elevates the dish more. The meat on the chicken was on the smaller side and I wished there was more garlic flavour but overall it was good. The restaurant is located on a busy street and is unassuming/easy to miss so I'm glad my boyfriend pointed it out for us to try with some friends. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share. They all arrived relatively quickly and my favourites were the pad thai and the khao soi. The pad thai was fragrant and on the sweeter side which I like. I also liked the fresh raw bean sprouts on the side. The khao soi was curry noodles with tender beef and crispy egg noodles. The curry was very flavourful with a hint of heat and sweetness. This was also my first time trying curry noodles at a Thai restaurant. The green curry was filled with bamboo shoots, peppers, and a good amount of chicken. The flavour from the bamboo shoots really comes through as well. For the crab fried rice, it came with a spicy sauce and pickled vegetables. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough to go around so I didn't get a chance to get a good taste of it with the rice. However, I scooped some curry sauce from the khao soi onto the crab friend rice and it was delicious! Finally, we tried the mango sticky rice and my goodness, it was so pretty! The rice was warm and sweet which paired beautifully with the slightly tart mango. I'll definitely have to come back to have more of the khao soi noodles!
