Horrible Horrible service! Please remove your daughter from being a server or whatever she is doing. Always has attitude , DOESN'T serve kids! What bothered me the most one day was how she didn't want to serve us for having kids and she was the only one there. She "Assumed" one of the new workers was outside in his car and she started saying his name and come serve them , come clock in and serve them come in early. She continued looking for him outside and repeating herself. Then said if you don't come in my mom is going to take away $10 from your check for coming in late like last time. Like excuse me ? First of all he is not on the clock and he doesn't not need to come in earlier just because YOU don't want to serve kids! (Mind you there is no other worker outside) . I really was excited to try this place. When my cousin and I walked in, there was a strong smell of caramelized meat. Its hard to explain but it kind of smelled dirty. The woman that ended up helping us seemed to maybe have special needs so we disregarded her somewhat rude demeanor when she sat us. She then came back talking about COVID and saying they shouldn't be open and that Facebook makes clear they are closed. We let it go because we really wanted to try the food. THEN, the same woman came back with the bonchon and said we should have ordered to go. That was the final straw. We got up in left. I'm not sure if there was different management before as other comments seem to be positive. Food is ok. Wish the grill design was different since it took longer to cook meat, much longer than other kbbqs, as well as oil tending to pop and splash everywhere. Service is not the worst but also not the greatest. It's ok. Ambiance could be better in my opinion, was a little bit of a turn off at first. It was also frustrating that the vents for the kbbq smoke were not being used, so all the smoke went into all of my party's faces, not a great time. Lastly, it was very much a turn off, and really disgusting that the sauces came stacked up upon each other. Meaning all the sauces were touching the bottoms of each container they were under/ on top of, except for the very top one. Overall, I probably most likely won't be here again even if this is one of the cheapest in LA, $20 for the cheapest menu option, in my opinion I would pay $10 more for a much better experience at let's say Gangnam style kbbq. Very last thing, I would recommend the business owner for this establishment to suggest that they add some soy sauce in their brisket sauce, makes it 1000x better, better than Gangnam styles brisket sauce. As it is now it is too vinegary. Again, a little bit of soy sauce makes it way better! read more

They built an outdoor area for seating and grilling outside. They got cement bins as the grounding for the posts, so I guess it's safe? Not sure how many people can fit in here but it seems to be groups of up to 6 so maybe 15-16 tables? Look, usually, this was like the OK place to go to preCOVID but now, they did some amazing changes. First off they changed their water, before I dunno, maybe they didn't have a filter or whatever, but it wasn't like how it is now, cold and crisp. Secondly, the side dishes were good too, just remember to ask for the salad. Third, you can order the LA Short Rib over and over. AYCE KBBQ for under $20, with the LA Short Rib? I only dropped 1 star because there was no way to get the waiter's attention as they put us in the corner. There's 3 options, 14.99 , 18.99 and 24.99 and everyone in your party has to have the same option. Meats are mostly what differs from each price bracket. It gets pretty busy around dinner time so get here early so you won't have to wait long. read more

I am only giving this place 3 stars because the lady on the phone said they would be able to make me green onion salad and delivered when I arrived. She told me it was the last time they'd be serving it due to price hike for green onions. Very sad to see it leave because it was SOO delicious. The kbbq experience was an entirely different story. The meat quality though looked nice ended up cooking like broiled beef brisket. It wasn't as thinly sliced as I am used to with GEN. I tried added different sauces to it and it just didn't taste right. Miso soup was acceptable but nothing memorable. They really need more staff for attending to tables. When it comes to KBBQ, I take into consideration the atmosphere, price, quality, customer service. ATMOSPHERE: It was eh. Our party of 5 came in on a cold night so it wasn't that busy. We were first seated near the open back door that was freezing but then was moved to a more secluded room next door with one other party. CUSTOMER SERVICE: This is where the stars decreased. Being in the next room with the other party, we both felt neglected of service. We were trying to be nice when trying to get the server's attention but it was like we were being ignored. It was a good 20 minutes until we were checked up on and even then, it felt rushed and attentiveness wasn't 100%. Plus no one was at the front when we wanted to pay. We waited 10 min for them to notice us. We probably could've easily walked out without paying and they'd barely notice. QUALITY: Meat quality was alright. Decent, I guess. PRICE: Super inexpensive. Kinda good for the quality of meat. Overall, I'd say you get what you pay for. But tbh, I've been to similar cheap KBBQ places like this with WAY better experiences. I don't think I'll be coming back, but if you only want brisket and bulgogi for super cheap and near this area, then go for it. read more

Manager lady is very disrespectful, racist and rude. I went with my friend yesterday he ate a few pieces of meat and he got sick. I went too the back after I told her . Meats where not in refrigerator and just sitting in metal containers not closed not sealed. I asked a few customers if they've ever got sick from eating the food at the establishment and lady didn't like that she said I was being loud . This spot is finally open indoors! Although the Lady upfront is overwhelmed and seems to be annoyed at times she ended up doing a decent job on her own. We were of course missing the Three Dip Sauce Tray and our Drinks for the longest. Sadly they don't offer Radish Paper here and their sides never got filled with us so we had to always ask. Apparently they don't have any Soups because of the Health Departments COVID restrictions, which confused me cause Soup is HOT. My brother, cousin and I went to a kbbq to celebrate her getting hired. When we walked in, she was already being rude. We saw a shelf of Buldak ramen and we were just excited about it. The lady went, "No no. You get, you cook for yourself." Like we weren't even gonna ask her to cook for us? Anyways she sat us down and we had our phones out. She was like, "No phones. My mom had a room where there are no phones. This is my place my rules." So my brother in response to that was, "Well I have to message my mom" and i responded with, "I'm just looking for jobs." She was like, "You're looking for a job. We're hiring." I didn't apply to this place but I thought this was an opportunity for me. She gave me the notepad and told me to write down my information. Since I was looking for a job anyways, I thought it would be fine. I applied to two other places. She said something about Johnny being there to contact me, that I would receive a call. Then she said there would be an interview at 10 am today. So obviously I thought that was okay to go to. Basically she was like after, "Don't wear earrings, no long nails and hair up." But she said it to my brother and told him to explain it to me. Like I was right here. If you want to say something, say it to me. She said it in such a condescending way like I didn't understand what she was talking about. We knew she just talked a lot and most likely didn't mean anything she said but I wanted to take the whole job and interview seriously so I did. I think I was in the wrong for thinking it was real right? Anyways she went on saying how busy it is and how I have to be fast on my feet. When I said I wouldn't be available Tuesdays and Thursdays she said, "You not available? Oh that's not good you have to work as fast on your feet as possible" like she expected me to not be able to do it. She even said it herself, "You work days since there's no people there" and "I do not think you would be able to handle it" Like why suggest I work there, give me an official day for an interview and tell me if get a call if it was all fake? While we ate, she constantly talked to us, telling me about how my training starts today even though today was supposed to be my interview. We asked for plates and we didn't get it until we asked again. I didn't get a call but i wanted to be professional on going, that way I could make sure right?. The place doesn't open until 11 am. So what was she saying, "10"? When they arrived it was like forty five minutes later and when she was at the front door I asked, "Do you remember me?" And she just flat out said, "No." She recognized me the moment she saw me. Then she said, "Oh you're the girl who wanted a job" and then said right after that, "Johnny will call you" Like I get which parts I was in the wrong? I think I was in the wrong. I said I didn't get a call and then she just said, "I will have Johnny call you" I left after that. I feel so stupid. I've been getting this restaurant's to-go KBBQ specials since the stay-at-home-order, and I've been very happy with their food and services. The to-go special features meat, rice or rice papers, side dishes, and sauces. Surprisingly, the quality is pretty good for the price, and has nice portions. I really appreciate them during times like this, and will continue supporting them while I'm in this neighborhood. Thank you very much! p.s. COVID-19? Quarantined? No problem. I was craving KBBQ tonight, but unfortunately, dine in was not an option anywhere due to the quarantine. I saw a giant sign at Surawon saying TO-GO, and decided to give it a shot! The way it works: they can cook the food for you or you can take it home to grill it yourself if you have a grill. I had them cook it. It was only $10 for two meats ($15 for 3 meats), and they gave me so much meat that I could not finish it all in one meal (and I am a large man)!! They also included banchan, which tasted very fresh, as well as rice paper and rice. Everything was nicely cooked! I got the marinated beef ribs, bulgogi, and brisket. They were tender and flavorful. My favorite was the beef ribs! Since they are not doing dine-in, they only had two employees working (and only the owner was preparing food). It gave us peace of mind knowing that only one person was preparing the food, especially during the COVID-19 outbreak! They seemed very clean and I saw them sanitize their hands before handling the bags of food and also before handling my credit card for payment. In summary, I am very happy I tried the to-go option here and will be back when I get another craving! read more

I wish I actually read the reviews before coming but since my friend wanted to go here I just agreed. Came in on a Friday thinking it'll be packed since it's a Friday, but there was only 4-5 tables occupied which is already not a good sign. Arrive and the owner didn't even look at us. She let us stand there for 5 minutes and no greetings or welcome. Already bad service if you ask me. After my friend and I sat down and ordered the meat. While we wait they brought out the side dishes. The side dishes looked very sad. 4 side dishes: bean sprout, fish cake, stale looking japchae, and macaroni with no flavor and taste a undercook. I was very disappointed in the side dishes already. Well let's just say I was even more disappointed when the meat came out. It was FROZEN! The first KBBQ restaurant that I went to that the meat was frozen and not freshly cut like most of the KBBQ restaurant I went to. The meat came out to be so oily and we basically end up having half a bowl of oil/fat. It was not appetizing. I love KBBQ but this was a huge disappointment. I went out for a date night with my wife to try out their Ayce. As far as the meat goes, it's not horrible. However, the banchan and side of rice I asked for was TERRIBLE. You can tell they serve several day old rice by its putrid smell. The banchan also had off putting flavors that cannot compete with the many other KBBQ options in Cerritos area. The owner grew a bond with us and the kids she is very friendly and greeted all of us with a hug. Her daughter on the other hand we experienced horrible service from each and every time. When you first walk in the place looks filthy. It's disgusting to see that the sauces were on top of each other touching and the sauce tasted like straight up vinegar. First time I tried it here and because i usually go to Gens or Red Palace. Horrible service, they did not prepare the table correctly, never gave us napkins, took forever for water, they never cleared our dirty dishes until we had a pile of them and had to ask, WE FOUND A ROACH on the table. If you don't ask for something here you will not get it, they are understaffed and the staff they have just hide in the back of the restaurant. I would not recommend this place, not even for the price. The price went up from 14$ to 17$ and it's not worth it at all. Take your money to Red Palace, they will treat you right there. I just tried using the restroom, it was disgusting when I walked in and as I past the kitchen I saw the waiter grabbing meat from a freezer with her bare hands, no gloves or anything. The kitchen was gross. Once I went to the restroom I saw the seat was covered in shit, it didn't looked like it was kept up at all. Their customer service is the worst of the worst. The host that was standing/sitting behind the counter where you "check in" was half wearing her mask and proceeded to talk to me with her half mask on it. I did tell her to cover her face but she went on telling me how she did not have our door dash order for pick up. She then brought out her laptop explaining me how her emails work and telling me they do not have it after confirming our order. The way she spoke to me was the most rudest attitude that I've encounter in a while. After going back and fourth with her, I decided to leave and cancel our order through door dash.
