When you first walk in the place looks filthy. It's disgusting to see that the sauces were on top of each other touching and the sauce tasted like straight up vinegar. The oil from the grill kept splashing on us the whole time. One of the old women who was talking to her self looked distressed and turned off the tv where my party and I were watching. Their customer service is the worst of the worst. The host that was standing/sitting behind the counter where you "check in" was half wearing her mask and proceeded to talk to me with her half mask on it. I did tell her to cover her face but she went on telling me how she did not have our door dash order for pick up. She then brought out her laptop explaining me how her emails work and telling me they do not have it after confirming our order. The way she spoke to me was the most rudest attitude that I've encounter in a while. After going back and fourth with her, I decided to leave and cancel our order through door dash. I was actually between 3-4 stars and below are the reasons why. Pros 1. There is generally no wait 2. The stove is different 3. Good and fast service 4. Good price (they have an option A-C) 5. They always have an attitude with me when I call. I have gone multiple times in person and it's not like they're busy to have this kind of attitude with me. They keep telling me to use Grubhub to order but already twice they have canceled my order. And they cancel after 20 min of having ordered. My lunch is only so long, I can't wait 20 min to find out my food is canceled. When I call it's something like "you can't order rice AND rice paper, you can only get one". So what... Okay place for a super-local kbbq fix. Here's the quick run down. Ordered the 2nd AYCE option. The meats were standard while the banchan options aren't as readily offered as other establishments. Staff was kind but was not very attentive & seemingly forgetful. I asked three different servers for a certain type of meat & rice wraps. Guess what?! Never hit our table. It does do the trick but there are so many other great options in the area that I wouldnt mind the extra drive for an overall better dining experience elsewhere. I went there tonight for my brothers birthday and as the server was changing the grill he spilled grease on me even though I was far enough away from him. After that he wasn't attentive anymore which was disappointing and led to burnt grills and at this point no one wanted their grill changed after the incident. At the end we paid for 10 people even though the guy told us he would take my payment off, but instead he said, "There isn't anything I can do about it because it was an accident." I ate $6.99 hot stone bibimpap here for lunch. I walked in by mistake, assuming it was the 4.5 star Korean place adjacent to it. There isn't a distinguished window between the two, lol. I'm glad I walked in. Ajima is very kind and brought out side dishes and an earthy soup with tofu and pumpkin. The bibimpap had organic greens in it and the sauce was homemade with great flavor. It had scant meat, but much better veggies than the 5-6 places I have tried around LA and GG. Service was attentive and she even mixed my bibimpap up for me at the table. The owner's daughter has been rude to me multiple times, I usually let it slide since she's not neurotypical. I only confronted the owner about it one time because they forgot to add kimchi to my takeout order and daughter was so rude to me saying I had to bring everything back she wanted to open up everything with her bare hands (mind you, this was the middle of Covid) I confronted the owner about it and she was very defensive, but I ended up getting my kimchi. We were there celebrating an event and decided to splurge and get menu C which is the most expensive. After the first round of meat, we were told they had run out of some of the items which curiously enough was mostly the more expensive items that are only included with menu C. However, we saw other tables around us being served those items. So we basically stuck with menu A items the rest of the night, but still all got charged for menu C. Seemed like a bait and switch. Even if we were to accept their explanation that they ran out of several items, the proper customer service solution would have been to discount our bill to properly reflect what we actually received. read more

Holy I love this place even though I've only come here once. We were on the way back to norcal and wanted the classic kbbq experience. This place was definitely worth coming to for lunch as the prices were way better than anything in norcal and the food was amazing. We got so much meat but didn't waste anything. The grill was slightly dome shaped which we found novel. Service was really good considering when we went there was only one guy waiting tables. I'm going to sound cliche', but here goes: place is a true hidden gem. I've passed through many a time on the way to and from Cerritos Mall and never really noticed it. It's in a little complex that's in a mostly residential area. The kids love K BBQ so I'm always on the lookout for something budget friendly. Anywho, our visit was this past Sunday, Mother's Day. My boy was paying, so the mission was: go cheap, and go fast. Didn't even know the name of this place, but I do remember seeing a $10 sign +/- recently. So off we go, just hoping they were open, not super busy, and that pricing was decent. We arrived around 1:00 pm. Door was open! Yay! Sign outside said $10.99. Double yay!! We walk in, there's only one other table occupied. Triple yay!!! But wait, that got me worried... maybe these guys have a B or C rating? I go and walk out front (after we had been seated, which was immediate, btw, as in 5 seconds) and then I saw in big Blue - A rating as of March 2017! Sigh of relief... whew! "Kids, we are staying!", I say. The young lad server, waiter, host, cashier is A++ on service. He was the sweetest. We were there 1 hour and 20 minutes, and I was glad to see 4 other tables get occupied. Meats were great! Banchan was actually pretty good. In fact, the only two negative things I can think of are - the grill was over the table and occupied too much space, and that they could use bigger plates. The AYCE for $10.99 included rice. Other places charge but this place comes with it. Great job! My new go-to for budget days and cravings. read more

Ordered on GrubHub to schedule my order to be picked up at 6:30 for my lunch break. I placed my order four hours before around 3 o'clock. I get there and they told me that my food have been sitting there since I placed the order for over three hours. I just paid 24 dollars for cold meat that's been sitting out for hours. When I asked for new meat she told me she could reheat the meat that had been sitting out. So sad I wasted money and had to go back to work with nothing to eat. Just when we thought we have tried every good, cheap ayce kbbq place, we found this. I really came in with low expectations and was so surprised! The meat was good and the service was awesome. You get free soda when you write them a yelp review, but if not, soda is only $1.50 with free refills, which is amazing considering other places' sodas are all about $3 now.
