I was disappointed in the food. The shrimp scampi was very small portioned and I had expected more for the price of $15. Great pizza! Haven't tried any other pizza since buying in SSB - because theirs is so good! We often stop on our way into town and pick-up gnocchi with red sauce and mushrooms, eggplant parm and cheese ravioli with red sauce and mushrooms, all delish. Sometimes we get pizza, too. Went here tonight after reading reviews and we were not disappointed. We had the pizza with salami, mushrooms and banana peppers. Crust is thin or you can get the deep dish if you want. We had a couple beers and were pleased with taste and service. Crust was a little thin for our taste but great flavor. Glad we went there. read more

Went here with a bunch of golfing buddies for dinner. Small mom and pop pizzeria-type atmosphere, but the Italian food was very good. Good value for the portions you get. I had chicken parm dinner and it was tasty. Everyone in the group said their meal was good as well. Definitely give this place a try over all the chain restaurants at the beach. read more

I haven't had the pizza yet, but their Italian dishes are outstanding. Probably the best meat lasagna and lobster ravioli I've had so far. The bread is fresh baked and comes hot and crisp out of the oven. This place is a gem! Next time I'll try to pizza. read more

We decided to come here after a long day of traveling and with empty stomachs. Overall the food was okay - we all had pizza, except for my son who requested meatballs. My husband & I ordered our own pizza and we ordered a personal for our daughter. Both pizzas were HUGE! (Looking back we probably should have just ordered her a slice - oops). The dough was fresh - but the pizza was just okay. After reading all the hype on Yelp, I guess I just expected this jaw-dropping experience - and it just didn't happen. The meatballs were huge and we easily could have just ordered one for my son, but we ordered two. They were pretty good - had a pretty good flavor. The last day of our vacation we decided to have pizza delivery so we could do some packing up. Ordered pepperoni Sicilian pizza, a cheese pizza & garlic knots. We order it at 6pm & they told us it would be an 1 15 minutes. It did take that long but it was well worth it. Pizza was great!! read more

Great spot in Surfside - waiter was Chad and he was a front-of-the-house one man show; taking call-in orders, walk-ins and tables. Friendly, prompt and happily answered all of our annoying tourist questions. Got a pizza and it was perfect. Thin-ish crust, crispy but not too crispy, excellent cheese, veggies and sausage. Also got dessert and they were fantastic too. The owner came out and we chatted, super nice guy running a great pizza place. The guy making the pies suggested for what a meat lovers slice costs a personal size would be the way to go in terms of "bang for the buck". I lived on Long Island for 30 years and love NY pizza. Surfside Pizza makes the closest to NY pizza I have found in SC and I highly recommend it. It is delicious..thin crust, lots of cheese and nicely seasoned sauce, and the pie is enormous. The garlic knots and sauce are also delicious. read more

I was so excited to eat here after reading the reviews, the food was very good, and our server Becky seemed so nice...at first and then I realized the 40 dollars I had on the table was gone after Becky (during COVID-19) got uncomfortably close to me when laying down my water and food. I hadn't left the table the whole time we were there and then we confronted her and asked her if they had cameras. She said yes, but they were (conveniently) not working. If you ever come to eat here, be weary of the server named Becky because she will take your money if you're not careful. read more

I was happy that we could get gluten free 10in personal pizzas. And they turned out to be great! We had the meat lovers, pepperoni, and the Hawaiian and all were delicious! Their sauce is great and had a sweet tint to it. I loved their gluten free crust! Thin and crispy, yet tasty and not too crunchy. I give it a 5 star for the pizzas! I did not give it 5 stars because they have a problem with condensation on their AC that drips to the floor and makes puddles.
