Wow! Fantastic value for pizza in myrtle beach. There are certainly plenty of options, but this place won over our family in 3 specific ways: 1) Dad loves a cheap dinner. Our family of 5 spent ~$30 for a couple of pies and garlic knots. 2) they offer tons of gluten free options, although not all of them are included on the menu... But they had pizza as well as pasta and desserts. My celiac family members enjoyed. 3) the non celiac kids loved the garlic knots. At like $3 an order, these were a fantastic value (and with a chunky, hearty, tomato dipping sauce... I can at least pretend my kids are eating vegetables). Pies could have used a little more sauce, so I'll ask for that next time.... But overall... Easy 5 star option for checking all of my family's boxes. read more

Pizza was great and very tasty. We had the "everything" pizza. My husband said he would have preferred a little more sauce but I liked it just the way it was as it allowed all the flavors of the toppings to shine through. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. The seating area is small with just a few tables but it's your typical close-to-the-beach drop-in, locals-eat-here kinda place. One thing to be aware of- if you get a garden side-salad - it comes loaded with black olives. We are not black olive fans so we picked them off and enjoyed our tasty and fresh, dark green lettuce and other toppings. read more

Great Family owned Italian restaurant in Surfside Beach! Visiting from Virginia and were really looking for a Great pizza. We found it here !! We ordered the Margherita Pizza with 1/2 pepperoni and garlic knots with homemade sauce. Everything was DELICIOUS and authentic Italian. The service was very prompt and attentive. And to make it even more Awesome one of the young waiters came out looking for us to give me $20 bill I had dropped from my purse when paying. Now that is going ABOVE And BEYOND. Double R and his family were eating, at a place just doors away When he smells something so delicious, in his seat he could not stay. His wife and children were puzzled, since they had just sat down to eat That this food whore of a man decided, he wanted a different treat So he strolls away from his table, right out the restaurant front door And suddenly finds himself standing, on Surfside Pizzas wood floor I'll just take a menu he said, to the girl whom was standing there "That's fine but we have GREAT pizza, just in case you weren't aware" I can tell because the smell, has my taste buds doing back flips "Just imagine what they will do, once this pizza crosses your lips" "You done dun it now" I said, "I really MUST purchase a slice Because aside from the amazing smell, I just can't resist the price" But what am I going to say, to my family waiting next door? "Just give them a bite" she said, "I'm sure you'll be back for more." I asked if I could eat my slice, back @ my table and they didn't care And after one bite I realized, I wasn't really willing to share The moral of this story is, as I continue to nurse my black eye Never leave your wife at a table, and return without sharing you pizza pie. Surfside Pizza is hidden next to Borgata and Malibu restaurants on the small strip on the Southside of Surfside Drive. This hidden gem, my husband and I entered and felt like we were walking into someone's home. The Decor is warm and cozy. Our waitress didn't introduce herself, but was pleasant and took our orders right away. We were both hungry and didn't want to wait. But of course, everything takes time. All of a sudden, this magnificent stuffed pie was delivered to a nearby table. I told my hubby that if it takes ten seconds longer, I'm going to dive into their pie. I held a fork in my hand and turned from my husband to the table, and the people obviously heard me and began laughing. I was only joking, but honestly, it looked that good. We ordered chicken parmigiana and meatball parmigiana hero's. The waitress stopped by to top off our beverages and I asked if the breads were made at Benjamin's Bakery, and she said yes. No wonder it was so fresh, Benjamin's is right around the corner. My husband ate his hero so fast, he reached down for the second half of it, and came to realize he had already eaten it. It was that good! I ate half of my hero, with the bread, which I don't usually do, but it was so fresh and delicious, it was gone in no time. The second half of my hero was calling me, I shared it with my husband and we both agreed we'll be coming back. The prices were reasonable and there was nothing I could complain about. Lisa, the owner came to the table and we enjoyed a pleasant conversation with her. They really want to make you feel welcome here. It is a small place with about 12-15 tables (a guess). Brought the family here as it offered gluten-free pizza for my wife. This place did not disappoint! They offered gluten-free pasta, pizza, and cake. I ordered the personal pie with sausage, garlic, peppers, and bacon. It was very good. The crust was a little chewy, but tasted good. The toppings were fresh, especially the garlic. The sauce was superb. The personal size filled me up, and was a great price. My wife got the gluten-free pizza with garlic and pepperoni. She raved about it. She stated it was the best gluten-free pizza she has ever had. Then there was the gluten free cake. WOW OH WOW! This cake was phenomenonal! One of the best cakes I have ever had, period! It made my wife's lips quiver, that good! The atmosphere is nice, small, and quaint. Service is fine, no issues at all. No draft beer, no local craft beer, but they do have gluten-free beer. Local little joint. They cook with fire! Everything steaming hot. Pizzas just from the oven. Italian wedding soup is made from scratch and has a delicious broth. Pizza crust has great flavor and perfect salt level. Stromboli 8 of 10 ...most have a deluge of grease coming out when cut...this doesn't. Chix parm solid 8 of 10. They also have pizza by the slice...a plus for those kids that can't agree on a single pie to share. There are 3 italian type restaurants right next to each other so dont get confused. My husband, son and I went here yesterday for a late lunch. We ordered the garlic knots appetizer. This came with a warm marinara sauce. I believe there were 8 in all, and they were a little small, but tasty. This appetizer was very reasonable $3.95. Then we ordered the Margherita pizza and the White Pizza with spinach. OMG, SOOO DELICIOUS!!!!! The white Pizza has ricotta, mozzarella and spinach. So very tasty. The Margherita was also super delicious and they were both 16" and only $15.95. This place is surely a find. The waitress was so friendly and attentive. You can tell this is family owned, because of the pride and friendliness they have towards their customers. Cant get that with big chain restaurants. We will definitely be back. Take a drive to Surfside and try this great place. read more

Ok at best. Maybe the best in "Surfside," but Papa John's is seriously better. I'm assuming it gets a lot of stars because of the tourists, but anyone who has had a decent NY pizza will likely agree it's not that good. Very salty. Just ok sauce. Best NY Style Pizza so far in this area in my humble opinion. We went there once in the off season, and the pizza was good, but a little over cooked. Have been trying other places, and found a couple that were close, Uncle Mickey's in Murrells was pretty darn good too. Then decided to give Surfside another shot as they are so close, and they knocked it out of the park. Nice thin NY style pizza, cooked perfectly. Not sure, but the couple that appears to run the place are from NY, so it makes sense they'd have a great NY style pie. I will still try other places, because there is no such thing as a bad pizza, and you never know, but so far this place is the best. read more
