I love Korean food and I love brunch, so I knew I had to check Surisan out during my SF trip. My husband and I ordered the bulgogi fried rice and galbi sando. Both dishes were sooo delicious and I'd highly recommend them! The portion sizes are also pretty big--I actually only ate half of the galbi sando and saved the other half for another meal. Service here is friendly and we were checked up on often. The ambiance here is pretty nice and they offer both indoor and outdoor seating. There was no wait when we came on a Saturday around 11:30AM. Overall, I'd highly recommend checking Surisan out!
We made a reservation for 10:30am, luckily they have a 15 min grace period bc we were running late lol. There were actually quite a good amount of tables open, so even coming at 10:30am, you might not need a reservation! We ordered the surisan scramble, galbi jjim benedict, and the fried chicken wings with citrus and umami flavors. Everything came out at decent time, and the presentation of all is very pretty! First trying the benedict, the galbi jjim was very nice! Some were soft, but some were basically just like beef cubes lol. The benedict biscuit was a lot tougher than expected, the but the overall flavors were pretty alright. The surisan scramble with millionare bacon was pretty nice! The bacon is more on the sweeter side, but I enjoyed how thick the bacon cuts were. The wings were also good! The crispyness was very nice and the citrus and umami flavor was a nice unique flavor to have. More on the citrusy side, but overall flavor and texture was really nice. The breakfast potatoes on each dish were also pretty huge! Potatoes were a bit starchy tasting, and they are very filling. Overall, the food was pretty good! However, since this is more of a Korean Brunch fusion, I wish the Korean taste would shine out more bc it does taste a lot more milder, maybe to appeal to a wider audience? It doesn't taste like authentic Korean food tbh, but it's still a nice brunch. The prices are a bit high for brunch, especially the galbi jjim benedict, but most people recommended this so I wanted to try lol. Even small size chicken wings and another entree was definitely enough for us 3.
Chicken Cup Bap - was okay lightly spicy but it builds after a good amount of eating. The chicken had a great crunch but a bit overly breaded. Sampler was okay - probably would've skipped it and only gotten the original and rosemary as those were the only ones we really liked. Galbi sando - was not my favorite but the fries were delicious! The bread was a bit consumed by the ingredients inside. (Opted into no whip) Strawberry matcha was nicely balanced. (Opted into no whip) Ube matcha was not my cup of tea it was not well balanced. Service was prompt, staff was nice, and the seating area wasn't overly crowded.
Went back today and everything was great but there was mold on my orange with no apologize when discovered, or after a new one was served lol
Surisan has been one of my bookmarked places to try for a while and finally got a chance to check them out. Arrived on Saturday at around 11am. We were second in the check-in line, but took some time for them to greet and seat people. We were told all the tables indoor were taken but there was seating available in the upper outside area. Hubs and kiddo shared the Kimchi fried rice and the chicken wings (honey butter / soy garlic). They noted the chicken wings were crispy. They seemed to like the soy and garlic, but would've liked more flavor for the honey butter. I ordered the Creamchi Rice Cake. Kiddo loved the sauce on top of the fried rice. This was a good dish. The rice cake had a good chewy texture and the portion size was pretty decent.
This place is trendy and big, with ample patio and inside seating. It was quiet on a Monday night and we received our food quickly. I can't say much about the food pictured but the presentation was good and it smelled tasty. I got the Premium Chicken Soup. It was so tasty I forgot to take a picture before digging in. It was hearty, comfy and enjoyable. That being said, this place is nothing special. It's a nice Korean fusion place and I'd go again if I were in the area but wouldn't go out of my way to visit. However if you are in the area, it's a worthy meal.
We made a reservation and had the option to sit either indoors or outdoors. Our server was incredibly friendly, and we came here to celebrate a birthday! There are a few similar brunch spots in San Francisco that serve millionaire bacon, but this one stands out as an Asian fusion brunch restaurant with a very clean space and a great ambiance. Chicken Wings - We tried both the hot spicy and soy garlic flavors. The wings were well made, crispy, and full of flavor. French Toast - My favorite item! It had a cream filling inside, and I believe the toast was double-fried. The fresh fruit balanced everything nicely, especially with the cinnamon syrup.
The food was okay. I don't go here very often, it's not my side of town and I don't often have a reason to be in the area. In the past, service was really slow. I once 20 minures of my life to get the bill, pay it and leave. I should have gotten up and asked but I didn't feel like that should be required. Over the years, they've proven to be a great spot to take friends from out of town, s long as those friends are willing, able and excited about Korean fusion. They have a few standards. This Last time I got to hang out, the staff was very accommodating, we were never rushed and the timing of the food, once we ordered as really quick to show up on the table. And they have the bacon. I wish the Bacon came inside the bloody Mary but it doesn't.
Went here for both dinner and brunch and I can say that you go to surisan for their delicious Korean fusion brunch goodness! There is a waitlist for the weekends with a 30min est. wait time but it's well worth it! Easy to kill time around the area since you're near the pier to catch a stunning morning view. Staff is very quick & attentive despite their headcount to customer ratio so kudos to that! I've had great quick experiences in both settings. Must gets: Korean fried chicken (soy garlic in particular, skip the honey butter) Galbjim eggs Benedict, the fatty saltiness of the pork really compliments the light and creamy goodness of an eggs Benedict! Hollaindaise sauce was delicious as well!!
Very nice place and food is good not so many options but will definitely try the ither food on the menu. Please add more flavor on the Bulgogi :) Good for a quick korean meal. They close early but service is quick and nice. The place is cozy and clean. I wish I could have enjoy my meal though. I can't eat very quick and someone just felt pressured because they were closing and check has been given on our table after asking if we need anything else. :/
We went here looking at the photos and relying on fellow Yelpers, but sadly this place wasn't worth the visit. We got poached eggs, I am guessing they poached it with lemon or vinegar because the eggs were almost inedible. They were very sour. The French toast was also okay, not something I would go back for again. Reason for 3 stars - Orange juice and Caramel Latte were super delish!
I haven't been to this spot in over five years and finally decided to come back when in the area with my family. The food came out really fast, we were impressed! Which was a good thing because we were starving! The drinks were tasty, but the espresso martini had more of a milky coffee consistency. Which I guess I kind of expected because it was Soju base instead of vodka based. My family's drinks were good. They enjoyed them. The flight of millionaires bacon could've been better. It was a little undercooked/fatty and not as thick as I expected it to be, especially being that millionaires bacon is supposed to be thick. My sister got the omelette and she got a lot of cherry tomatoes. Her omelette was very watery. My mom's sizzling plate was okay. The meat portion wasn't too big. My plate was good, but definitely needed a side of hot sauce to go with it. Overall the food could've been better and it was mediocre.
A classic Asian brunch spot! Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Service was also great. I ordered the Morning Jook, which I loved. It's rare to see brunch places serve porridge, which was why I was so excited for it. Very hearty and honestly perfect for hangovers too :P My friends and I also tried the Blueberry French Toast which was so delish. Everything was so delicious!

Ended up near fisherman's wharf area and decided to have some Korean. Was able to get a table pretty quickly at around 7:30 pm for two. We weren't too hungry so we got two appetizers and an entree. The spicy pork bap was alright. It definitely wasn't spicy enough but it also seemed to be quite buttery. It just didn't seem to have enough Korean flavor, seemed to mean more into fusion-was than traditional. It was also served in a cast iron that at first I was excited about but the skillet either wasn't able to produce the crispy rice that traditional baps get when you leave rice on the bottom and on the side or just wasn't hot enough. I asked for and got three sauce cups of gochujang and it was more of the spiciness and flavor I was expecting and wanting it was overall alright. The tteok-bokki was also mediocre. The sauce wasn't thick, spicy or flavorful enough. Did not get much flavor in each bite. The consistency of the rice cakes was nice but the flavor wasn't there. The cheese topping also just seemed a little lackluster. The spicy and sweet 6 piece chicken wings were my favorite! They had a great crunch to them, very well sauced and the chicken wasn't dry at all. The sauce itself also tasted great, had a decent kick and spicy flavor while also having the sweetness come through a little bit. If I came back I would probably come for just the chicken wings and some beers and I just might do that soon. I think with 2/3 being meh I would give it a 3.5 but with a feel to come back for the wings i don't feel bad about rounding up. read more

Looooved Surisan! We came in with a large group (definitely recommend getting a reservation beforehand) and shared everything family style. All the dishes also came fairly quick for how much food we ordered! All the food and drinks were so so good, it was the perfect asian and brunch fusion and really satisfied our cravings. Ordered: - Pimped Up Ramen ($20) - Country Benedict ($20) - Blueberry Stuffed Crunched French Toast ($17) - Bottomless Mimosas ($23 per person, 1 hr limit) I don't always crave brunch food, but Surisan takes brunch to the next level by adding a unique Korean twist to their dishes. I loved every dish we ordered, but the standout dish in my opinion was the pimped up ramen. The plating itself is unique, but the stir fried shin ramen was so surprisingly flavorful & tasty. It's spicy and also aromatic, with a bit of crunch from the green onions and mushrooms. The portion is large too and can feed a group! The country eggs benedict contains korean fried chicken, tomato, & spicy country gravy. The chicken was so well marinated and crispy on the outside but juicy on the inside. The potatoes on the side were perfectly fried and seasoned too. I got so full from eating those large potato chunks! We ordered the blueberry stuffed crunch french toast to balance out the other 2 savory dishes. It made the perfect dessert! The toast is coated in corn flakes or something crunchy, and there's ricotta sandwiched between the pieces of bread. If you love cheesy desserts, this will totally be your jam. The vermont maple syrup tasted like creamy caramel but wasn't too sweet. Belly was so satisfied after this french toast! went to surisan with my brother because i wanted to try a place that was new to me. he had come before for brunch and had not a great experience, but i'm glad he was willing to try it again for dinner. we came in late on a friday eve (about 45 mins before they closed) and they were soooo nice and accommodating, even though the place was almost completely full! we were sat immediately and our order was taken quickly. we got the flight of millionaires bacon sampler, of course. you can never go wrong. the korean fried chicken wings were delicious. we got the sweet & spicy ones which weren't even spicy, but a bit sweet. for my entree, i got the dolsot bibimbap and my brother got the galbi jjim. both were delicious! i enjoyed everything i ate and will definitely come back to try more of the menu! read more

Raspberry mimosa: 10/10! I love the addition of the strawberry. I actually got this mimosa for free since I went on my birthday :) Bibimbap: 8/10! The bibimbap isn't like the ones we've had before - I think there's some different elements to the dish they added. It wasn't bad, but wasn't exactly the move for brunch. Country Benedict: 9/10! VERY FILLING. I asked for the gravy on the side (definitely recommend). I barely even used half of the gravy they gave me. They gave a fried chicken on each benedict & 2 more on the side. I love the assorted fruit with this dish. The potatoes and eggs were cooked very well! The restaurant is huge with a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. Came here early Sunday morning for a party of 6 and it was very easy to get seated outdoors. Street parking can be tough to find here so give yourself enough time for that. Galbi Jjim Eggs Benedict (5/5): WOW this portion size. I could have split this with someone if I wasn't very hungry. The portions can definitely be done for family style here. The galbi was very flavorful and I really enjoyed trying Korean fusion brunch for the first time. I judge a place by its potatoes and these potatoes are solid-- crispy outside and soft inside. The portion was so filling I had the remaining 40% of it in a take-out box for later. The price is reasonable considering it's brunch near Fisherman's Wharf, especially when Surisan offers a unique take on traditional American brunch. The presentation of each dish is definitely eye-catching and worthy of putting it on the 'gram if that is your cup of tea. read more

Came here for dinner and drinks with a friend near opening on a weekend! No wait or reservation although if you plan eating at a later time after 6pm, I would recommend getting one as they can fill up quick if your party is more than 4. We tried the Crispy Chicken Wings (soy garlic) and Loco Moco, along with some cocktails (very aesthetic and fruity). The batter of the wings were ok although a bit crisp for my liking, but my favorite was the loco moco -- the patty is deep fried which was a nice take with its light crispy batter and the gravy over rice. read more

When some friends suggested brunch, I quickly looked for some recs and was so happy I found surisan! It's a fusion Korean brunch place, but even their American style dishes are legit the best I've ever had, and I don't even like brunch food. These are the dishes we got: 1) pumped up ramyun: the noodles were flavorful, and the presentation was insta worthy, but the 2 people in my group who got it agreed that it wasn't worth paying $20 for some fried ramen. 2) dolsot bibimbap: solid amount of food, and the stone pot made my rice very sufficiently crispy, which I loved! Pro tip: mix everything with the sauce and let it sizzle while you eat because it's more flavorful that way. 3) blueberry stuffed crunch french toast: this was hands down the best french toast I've ever had. It was crunchy on the outside, but soft on the inside, and the caramel drizzle made it taste so good. I would come here again just to order this. read more

Update: Came back for brunch a few months later and unfortunately, it still didn't live up the expectations. I got the French toast and I could only eat 1/3 of it because it was just too greasy and heavy. It was fried and there was a lot of mascarpone inside; not what I was expecting. However, the service was excellent and the ambiance was very nice. We sat outside this time and it was a pleasant day in the city. Not sure if it'd come back again though. read more

Food 4/5 I like the fusion part of the food but everything taste kinda the same as the other chains they have under the brand that carry millionaires bacon. Surisan is a must visit when you're in San Francisco! The food here is so bomb and the service was great. We were seated right away with no reservation around 11am on a weekday. I ordered the fried chicken benedict. So crispy and juicy. The chicken is fried twice, which helps retain the texture even when it's slathered in the egg yolks and hot sauce. The mixed fruit that came with the meal was refreshing. A great addition. Potatoes were seasoned nicely, soft and fluffy in the inside and brown on the outside. I came here last weekend and was deeply disappointed. I ordered the country Benedict which had their fried chicken in it. Honestly, it did not taste good. I could only eat one of the Benedicts out of the two. The side of potatoes wasn't that good either. The potatoes at their sister brunch spot Kitchen Story are so much better. My friend got the bulgogi fried rice. It was somewhat bland. The prices here are also really steep with most dishes at $20. Not worth it. Look elsewhere for quality brunch. read more

Pimped Up Ramyum: A dry tossed "Shin" cup noodle tricked out with millionaire's bacon, fried egg, vegetables which were good! This was the perfect combo in my opinion as it had a little bit of everything! Blueberry Stuffed Crunch French Toast w/caramel sauce: This was one of the best french toast I have had at a brunch place. This blueberry stuffed french toast was super unique and is on the sweeter side. Surisan's atmosphere was nice and our waiter was friendly and very attentive (our water glasses were never empty). For being a Korean place, the Korean food wasn't very good (can't say for the breakfast foods). We ordered the kimchi fried rice and the large fried chicken. The rice was okay, but didn't really taste like kimchi. The bacon bits inside the rice were a nice touch, but overall wouldn't order again. The fried chicken was not great and I stopped eating after 2 pieces. We ordered soy garlic and it didn't taste very good. I personally didn't like the texture of the entire chicken (I like more dry chicken), but my boyfriend liked the inside flesh and not the outer skin. Overall, probably wouldn't come again for the food, but it's a nice hangout area. read more

Came here on a Thursday morning was not too busy we were seated right away! My husband tried to the Korean breakfast (chicken cup bap) and I tried the stuffed French toast all of which was VERY GOOD. I also had the mocha which was perfect not too bitter not too sweet and was very pretty. The presentation of the platters and drinks was very nice. The seating areas were very pretty indoor and outdoor we chose to sit inside since the morning was a bit chilly but I can see this place getting packed out on a weekend inside and outside 12/10 would recommend read more

What an amazing restaurant in San Fran. Great yelp find for sure. We were in town for just 2 nights. We picked here for our first night. We were not disappointed. Came here for brunch and it sucked. The food here wasn't yummy at all. Got the country Benedict and I swear one of my chicken pieces was straight up all batter. It wasn't even that crispy. I'd rather eat chicken tenders from safeway or KFC. The potatoes were okay. Best part of the dish was the fruit. Tried the bulgogi fried rice and it was decent, but not something I would rave about because after a few bites I was over it. Tbh this is the first time I've ever not finished my brunch. In regards to the service, I wasn't pleased either. Literally asked this chick for a plate and she looked irritated and never even came back with it so we had to flag someone else down. I feel like SF has a lot of good places to eat so I'd recommend skipping Surisan. They probably get a lot of diners because they're located in a super touristy location. Checked out @surisansf yesterday for brunch and was hypnotized by the Pimped Up Ramyun dish with a side of Millionaires bacon They use Shin Ramen and mix in mushrooms, green onions, bell peppers, and carrots. You can never go wrong with an egg on top and thankfully it's a standard for this dish. Still having mixed feelings about this place! I will point out though that to be a restaurant close to many tourist attractions, this is not a tourist trap place. It is actually pretty good! The biggest thing that was such a big turn-off was that the host was so rude. It was shocking! We picked this restaurant to celebrate my graduation and I had reservations. We were there 40 minutes early and when we told the host we were early and asked if it was possible to be seated a bit early, she rolled her eyes and said no, you have to wait until your reservation time, go walk around. I don't mind the wait at all. I do this all the time but to be greeted this way on a special occasion was significantly off putting. We still decided to wait since we had a reservation. I also watched her being rude to other people while we waited. Now for the food. There were a few very good dishes! -Chicken Wings 3/5: they were good but nothing impressive. I wouldn't order this again. -Blackstone Benedict 4/5: it has the million dollar bacon in it. It was delicious; both the bacon and the egg Benedict are a great combo. -Pimped up Ramyun 5/5: this was also delicious. It was a great combo with the noodles and bacon. Lots of flavors and a must try. -French Toast 5/5: delicious! This was also a favorite dish. Every bite was the best. -Kimchi Fried Rice 3.5/5: very well balanced and has lots of flavors. I would order it again. -Dolsot Bibimbap 4/5: this dish was a pleasant surprise. We loved it. Lots of flavor and is very well balanced. -Iced Banana Latte 3/5: different drink, and good flavor. Not a lot of banana flavor. -Strawberry Matcha Latte 2/5: this was very bitter. It looks pretty, but the flavor was ok. -Ube Milk 4/5: this was a good drink! Surisan has a creative and delicious menu, along with a nice and modern ambiance inside. The neighborhood where it is located is not too hectic, to find street parking in the area which is a plus in the city. Docking two stars for the service, but I think it's out of their control given how they are understaffed and we completely understand. We were mindful to be more patient, however, it definitely detracted from the experience. We were refused when asked if we could be seated outdoors because of COVID. He also asked for our IDs in a condescending manner (always kills the vibe a bit). About 20 min after we ordered, he came back to tell us that the system was down and we will have to wait longer before our orders are even put in. At the end of the night, we were also charged for an extra drink that we didn't order. Overall, the hectic service led to a lesser enjoyable dinner, as much as I loved the food! read more

Best ricotta pancakes I've ever had. Great service - lively inside. Millionaires bacon was good - tasted like sweet pork belly. Prices are actually reasonable because the servings are pretty big. Surisan is quite a popular spot in SF and for the right reasons. We ordered the ramen, nachos, and fried chicken rice and each dish met our expectations. The dishes were well-balanced in flavor, not overly oily or salty. The restaurant ambiance is great for dates and friend gatherings. I look forward to visiting Surisan again and trying more of their dishes. read more

My family loved the food and we experienced excellent customer service. Great variety on the menu, food tasted fresh and very flavorful. We enjoyed the Korean fried chicken wings, kimchee fried rice, bulgogi fried rice, perfect French fries, loco moco, and eggs Benedict. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Coffee was good too and we didn't have to wait long for an offer for a refill. It's was pretty pricey to eat here but it was a nice treat. We came for breakfast and found parking on the street. Close to all the Pier 39/Fisherman's Wharf attractions. read more

What a fun place for any meal but we came for brunch! I made a reservation in advance for 1045am, we ran late due to farmers market/cruise ship traffic on Market St, but were able to get street parking just across the street from the restaurant and they seated us without a problem (even though we were 15 minutes late). Service was friendly and welcoming. There was quite a bit available seating this early but at noon it became packed to the brim. We requested a table outside, enjoyed the sun, fresh air and decor. There are at least 6 vegetarian options and even a vegan dolsot bibimbap! I loved the bibimbap last time, but tried the vegetarian scramble this time, and asked to replace the potatoes with fruit for a healthier option-- and the berries so juicy and sweet! It came with a rustic wheat roll (they must make it in house, it was fluffy with cinnamon but not sugary sweet). I enjoyed the scramble with interesting colorful & flavorful vegetables (asparagus, red onion, mushroom, cherry pepper, tomato, baby kale), and a touch of goat cheese. The food arrived pretty fast! read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE surisan!!! This Asian fusion brunch spot that's tucked away near fisherman's wharf. It's always busy and best if you have a reservation. All of their Benedict's are delicious, and the pimped up ramyun is nice to look at but tastes even better. If you love matcha but also like alcohol try their matcha mojito! 10/10 comes in a cute jar and the put whipped cream on top of it. Attentive staff and willing to accommodate. We came a little late (around 1:30pm) and they close at 2pm :( So beware of the time crunch. They have a breakfast/brunch menu as well as a dinner menu. Came here to celebrate a friend's birthday 10AM on a Sunday. Luckily we were able to make a reservation ahead of time since our party was a group of 8. This is a great place for brunch with a group of friends, and even has a little bit of a bougie feel because of the restaurant's aesthetic. Wouldn't say that theres anything spectacular compared to all its sister restaurants (I think the menu is a little different). Of course, the presentation and beauty of their food and drinks never fail. We ordered the blackstone benedict, surisan scramble, and a passion fruit alcoholic drink. Of course I couldn't go without getting something with millionaire's bacon in it. As good as the blackstone benedict was, I couldn't finish my meal all in one sitting because it was just too spicy-i think from the bacon? The scramble looks small but is very filling. Lastly I could understand why our server said her favorite alcoholic drink there was the passion fruit. Next time I come back, I would like to try other stuff on their menu like the noodles and the fried chicken. read more

Space is clean and casual, good for relax and take pictures. Recommend Chicken Wings and Pimped up Ramyun, tastes great! I don't recommend LocoMoco and the GALBI JJIM. Rice of the locomoco is like overnight rice, not fresh, and the wagyu beef cutlet is really dry and tough. The galbi also tough. I also recommend Blueberry Stuffed Crunch French Toast Breakfast and the iced banana latte both tastes really amazing and make me unforgettable! Note: There are 20% Gratuity will automatically added for parties of 5 or more, and also have another 6% service fee, so totally 26%, I think it is too high for their "regular"services. read more

Yes they are pet friendly, thanks to their enclosed patio! Reservations are strongly recommended but walkins are also available.

The closest thing to vegan, they do have tofu dishes and I think you can request the restaurant to make it vegan. But always good to contact the restaurant to see if they can accommodate your request.

Same ownership, but Surisan is more korean infused while kitchen story has more of a Thai influence. Surisan still has Thai touches as well.
Are there any dishes without soy and wheat?? For instance 100% rice or potatoe noodles.
Is the outdoor seating pet friendly?
Yes! Last time I saw a big pet rabbit (the size of a dog) in the out door dining. And that rabbit was riding a hot wheel when it left.

There are but it's very limited (only a small selection of dishes)

Yes they do! I posted their brunch menu which has soju options.
Are there walk-ins on Saturdays?
Weekends are super busy & the waitlist can be so long that the wait time can be upwards of 150+ minutes. I wouldn't bank on walking in without a reservation!
