    Chirashi Bowl

Located near South Hill mall, tucked in between busy streets and businesses, you'll find this cozy and intimate restaurant. My friends and I enjoyed their takoyaki and chirashi bowl. Our server was nice and patient with us as we waited for our other friend to arrive. She was really attentive and made sure our water was always filled.

Was craving poke and didn't know this place existed. I did a pick up order and it was FRESH & DELICIOUS. I will be going back to try their rolls. I already decided this is my new go-to sushi spot in Puyallup!

I would give a 5 stars the first time when I first visit. I got uni and rainbow roll. Both of them are really fresh and tasty. Especially the uni, made me crave for more for a week. I was thinking this might be the place for me if I don't go to Seattle for sushi. However when I came back again yesterday, it changed my mind. The uni was bitter and all the sushi weren't fresh to me. It tasted day old or more to me. The sushi broke so easily before I even bite it. I was very disappointed on this and I spent $50 on it when the Otoro, uni and rainbow rolls weren't even fresh and did not taste good. The service were great, the hostess were super sweet and nice. For the environment, it was pretty busy for a Tuesday. There were a wait for a table but I got a take out.

Wow, I love this place!! Why? Well, the staff is super friendly and personable, the sushi is top quality, and the prices are fair. It doesn't get any better than that! The Ari salad is unique and super tasty so I definitely recommend giving it a try. Also, you cannot go wrong with just about any roll on the menu. My favorite happened to be kiss me Mucho, the lava roll, the ninja roll, and the crunch shrimp roll. There's another one with jalapeños, sriracha, and yellowtail but I can't remember what it is. My wife swears by their vegetable tempura and their miso too. I should know we have only ever ordered to go, and we always call ahead and then pick up our selves. We're trying to support small businesses by avoiding using delivery apps which up-charge so much for the consumer and the restaurant has less take home.

Spider roll on left, $12 only crab was inedible hard leg at ends. Heaven Tuna was pretty good, $15

It had been long time since last visit. Wish they opened earlier than 3:00. Got there when they opened, started with both seaweed & squid salads, very good. I had hot sake and hubby had "house made" lemonade, doubt it was freshly made but he liked it. Then we ordered teriyaki chicken meal, very delicious. Enjoy their house salad dressing, citrusy and palate cleansing. For rolls we had the Spider, Heaven of Tuna and Killer salmon roll. The hit was the baked salmon, warm rich and yummy. The other two were OK, hubby did like the Heaven one with its slight sweetness, didn't really see or taste the tuna. The Spider was disappointing, no crab or seafood to be found in the roll other than inedible hard fried tempura shell at the ends, odd. Our server was sweet & attentive for most part, just at the end I tried to get her attention for nearly 5 mins. but she was standing behind a tall case and couldn't see me. Prices were good on the teriyaki and salads but the rolls a bit pricey for lacking seafood. I think we'd go back and try other rolls and definitely get teriyaki.

This is hit or miss. The takeout I have ordered online has been generally pretty tasty and fresh. Although, when we dined in, my husband and I had half our order never arrive to our table. We tried asking but our waitress never came back. The half that did arrive had frozen tasting scallops, which was disappointing. It was very busy and unfortunately there were not enough staff to keep things running. We would love to try again due to the fact that the food I've ordered online has been tasty! It is quite small inside but it can fit quite a few people.

We've been super excited to come and eat some seafood boil and having to wait till 3pm till they opened, we were starving! We were sat down very quickly and the waiter took our pretty fast too being that we were the first ones in. Our order: Combo #3 with added sausage with no spicy house special sauce Kids chicken tenders with fries Shrimp fried rice 1 order of asian bread 1order of steamed rice Total $130 We've been to this location 3 other times and the experience and food were all terrific! Unfortunately this time we left pretty dissatisfied and disappointed with the quality of the food. Me and my husband always peel and crack open the shrimp and crab first before we start eating just so it gives us some time to let our baby's food cool down for a bit. We finally got it all cracked, peeled and opened when we finally got a taste of the crab and it was SUPER SUPER SALTY. In total me and my husband ate 1 crab leg each and left the rest, and we never ever have leftover crab typically. Our crab batch was just so inedible that we didn't even take it with us to go. The chicken tenders and fries were good, can never go wrong with that and my daughter loved them! The shrimp fried rice was also good but the shrimp seemed a bit rubbery, but we took it home and decided to just take the shrimp off. With having to spend $130 and not getting to eat both the crab from the expensive boil and the shrimp from the fried rice I'd give this experience a 2, we specifically went here to have the boil but ended up not eating pretty much any of the crab. When I asked the waiter why the crab was so salty he said they they add salt to keep it fresh, but the fact that it was severely salty kind of wondering how much salt did they have to use to keep this specific batch fresh? I'm not sure if we're planning on coming back but I hope the next batch is better for everyone else!

Awesome! Couldn't have enjoyed our visit to Crockett's any more…read more We stopped in on a Saturday for lunch. It was relatively busy, but our server was great! The fried zucchini were prepared in a manner that we haven't seen before - long, flat pieces. Excellent! My wife had the Sloppy Joe - and she couldn't have been more pleased. Seasoned to perfection. I opted for a Wedge Salad, which was another item prepared in a way I hadn't seen before either - it wasn't a big rock-like salad, it was sliced and laid sideways. Perfect. and with lots of bacon! We'll definitely be back to Crockett's! (We'll just have to find a reason to go to Puyallup.)

Our server was super sweet and friendly! She was so easy to talk to, and I really enjoyed chatting with her throughout our meal. I ordered the cavatappi ragu, and the flavor was really good. Unfortunately, it was a little too salty for me, so I could only eat a couple of bites. My husband helped me finish a few more bites, and I ended up taking the rest home. The portion was huge, so I mixed it with some extra pasta and a little water when I reheated it, and it tasted much better! My husband ordered the burger and really enjoyed it. He had no complaints and finished his entire meal! The portions are definitely generous and could easily be enough for two people, especially if you're not big eaters. Overall, the service was a highlight, and we had a nice, relaxed Sunday night dinner.

I have been seeing this highly rated restaurant for a while and my husband wanted to check it out…read moreon a Sunday, so we made a reservation and they took us right away. We were the only people in the dining room for lunch the entire time until our last 10 mins. This restaurant is inside a casino in Fife. Parking is interesting, and the casino itself is in the middle of a reno so it looks a bit messy but otherwise it is fine. Kudos to them for trying to make the outside section nice because the view kind of kills it. Pros - it's a very nicely designed space. The hostess and our waitress were so nice and welcoming, even giving me a stool for my bag (and it wasn't even my fanciest bag lol!) Overall, the restaurant is nice, the food seems to be mostly fresh and good quality and service was nice. I actually quite enjoyed my ribeye, despite our broccolinni having no almonds, as stated on the menu. My affogato was good, and the cake frosting and flavors were good. Cons - I say these with love...but we both feel the kitchen was not up to par, or the main chef was off, or something happened because there were quite a few mishaps during our visit. The appetizers were good, but the scallops needed salt and I would not pair them with pineapple, personally. The calamari weren't the most tender, and the breading was interesting - it's definitely not your typical breading, it suited a fish and chips dish better. The sweet and spicy sauce served with it is from trader Joe's...I know because I've bought it before, so I don't believe it's house made. Like I previously stated, the broccolinni was missing the almonds, and the carrots on the side that I ordered for $13 were so embarrassing that the waitress came back after serving us and told us that she spoke to the manager and got those off our bill. That's how ridiculous they were, so thank you to her for having good values at work. While I liked my steak, it was very, very fatty, and my husband asked for medium rare and definitely got medium well. Lastly, the pink champagne cake was disappointing, not because it was yucky, but because the cake itself was clearly days old, and had been freshly frosted. It was tough, dry and stale, while the frosting was fresh and light. Overall, I can see coming back but I'm in no rush due to the price/location/overall food.

It was our first visit last night. I'm all for constructive…read morecriticism so that's why I'm here. Pros: Food was great. My wife said the chicken parmigiana was one of the best examples she's ever had. She usually isn't into red sauce that much but she loved it. Most of us had the salmon, which I think was cooked just right and was well presented. It's kind of a weird location but it works that it has a lot of parking. The inside's nice and clean, the people we engaged with there were pleasant/service was good. Cons: Main issue last night was how long it took to get our meal: I think it took over an hour. I don't fault a place for a single slow experience, and the waitress was apologetic about the delay, but for the level of establishment it is, it would've been nice for the table to have been given some free bread or something to munch on as an apology for the wait. The inside was pretty smoky when we got there, light beams cast. Not sure if smoke derived from cooking or the inside fireplace (insert?) but my wife's sensitive to the smoke, so her eyes were bothering her for a bit. She was talking about possibly needing to go outside when I think the AC kicked in and the air quality improved. Otherwise, I'd say the main con is it's on the pricey side. Like after tax the salmon is almost $50, no salad/side included, and it's not a large portion. It was, however, delicious.
