The best sushi I have had in Puyallup area. This is the best Japanese food in this area. The bentos comes with so much food at the right price in my opinion. I had the salmon bento and it came with sushi, vegetables tempura, miso soup, rice, salad and I'm sure I am missing something, but definitely a good variety of food. I would say the only thing I didn't love was the salad and due to the brown lettuce that was inside of it.... This place gets pretty busy so if plan out time to order and pick up. I don't understand why this place has such high reviews? I was so excited to try it based on the reviews here, but I could not enjoy my meal. The staff was kind and efficient, but the food is just awful. The salmon nigiri tasted so fishy it was clear it wasn't high grade like they say it is. Many of the rolls had cream cheese regardless of if it was listed in the ingredients or not. And it isn't just a bit of cheese, it is at least 50% cream cheese. I would not recommend this place. Great as always! As we entered we noticed that they have build a new partition wall at the front entry. It's not enclose but it defines the waiting area much better now. My husband ordered the miso soup (he loved the miso soup here) and the chicken teriyaki ( I know!!). I ordered my go to 'heaven of tuna' and I decided to give one of the tempura rolls a try so I ordered the 'kiss me mucho' roll. The creamy Mayo on top made it taste so creamy and delicious. Grabbed delivery from here after a long day, during out visit to Puyallup. I had a miso soup, gyoza, and a heaven of tuna roll. The miso was warm and comforting on a cold day. The gyoza were fried, but they were quite soft and a little soggy by the time the arrived, may have been an issue with delivery more than the food itself. The heaven of tuna roll was decent, but again the crunchy bits were not so crunchy by the time the food arrived. Good flavor and I added some spicy sauce that was tasty. My partner ordered the teriyaki chicken and it was absolutely delicious. I am not usually a teriyaki person because the sauce it too sweet for my preference. I could probably have ten of these in one sitting. They are bomb! They had a 3 roll deal for barely under $26 which was such a great deal because the rolls are awesome. We didn't have anything we didn't like. The albacore tuna melted in my mouth but the escolar (white tuna) is the best! Creamy and so fresh!
