Ok, sushi burrito is the trendy stuff right now... I know, I know, it's just a glorified temaki with more rice in it and folded like a cylinder instead of a cone. However, you gotta give these guys some credit because they do have really tasty fresh food for very affordable prices. Wether you are going there just for a quick burrito, or for a full dinner with your family, you will be satisfied with their quality and fresh food. Now, it's a burrito place so it's simple stuff, they keep it simple and delicious. Try their wide variety of proteins and house sauces! Particularly, I like to order a combination burrito with Taco (octopus), spicy tuna and wasabi! Try their spicy tuna out salmon burritos with fresh wasabi, cucumber and a touch of sesame seeds. I'm giving it 4 stars for a reason, maybe it's because I'm really picky with my sushi, maybe it's because I'm from Vegas? But the reason is clear, I liked the place, but there's room for improvement. They need to get more chairs, clean their display and add more protein into their burritos. There was just too much rice and not enough fish inside. Maybe next time I'm there this have been addressed already, if so, then I'll update the review ;) it's fairly good for Utah food! read more

We've been to every Sushi Burrito location, and some multiple times. This location ties for first place with the Layton location, with the Salt Lake location in last (got a long hair in one of my less-than-full burritos and had VERY slow service). Third place would go to West Valley and fourth place to Provo. This location in Cedar City was GENEROUS with the important burrito fillings - the fish and crab. The slices of fish were HUGE! Everything tasted great, the people working here were friendly, and the decorations were a nice addition over some of the locations. I'd give this Cedar City location four stars because of the bit of mess, but the food (and the relatively low cost) overshadowed the dirty floors and the dark ring in the toilet bowl. read more

I drove from St George just to try a sushi burrito and it did not disappoint. I got the California sumo and it was so delicious! It exceeded my expectations! I traded half of mine with my mom who got the Las Vegas one, it was also really good but I enjoyed the California sumo better because it was deep fried which made biting through it a little easier. I've tried this concept in other cities but was both surprised and delighted to find one in Cedar City. Very clean and fresh with approachable safe combinations. Not the most adventurous or spicy sushi burritos I've seen, and service was a bit lukewarm, but this is a safe healthy bet for lunch. I would actually give this place 3.5 stars, but that isn't an option. This is a tiny little restaurant right next to radio shack. Have been here a couple of time and the food is good. My favorite that I've gotten has been the salmon bomb. It was in need of sriracha though, but luckily that is in good supply in this place. I do like how they have both raw and unraw fish options. The service here can be a little spotty. They don't have a good system for calling your order or really any system at all. If you are specifically watching for your burrito, it could spend a while on the counter until you notice. It can also be somewhat hard to understand the employees, but they are friendly. The burritos can also be a little messy as they don't have any bottom cap type thing to keep everything from falling out. But i guess that is just a flaw in the concept. I have never, ever given a one star review but I ordered a chicken teriyaki bento box and the chicken was absolutely inedible. So overcooked and full of tough gristle I just kept trying to chew it and spitting it out. I gave up and threw it away. I tried - I really tried - kept thinking the next piece would be better. Nope. Staff had disappeared into the back so I just tossed it and walked out. The dining area was not terribly clean either and the tables were all crammed on one side and very close together. read more

This place is the Burger King of Sushi, which is frightening because they serve raw fish. When you take a huge sheet of Nori and stuff it full of rice, huge chunks of fish, and large lemon slices it becomes an inedible chewy disaster. I couldn't get through half the Sushi log I was presented with without feeling ill. The delicate flavors and artful presentation of Sushi was apparently forgotten in the concept of this fast food chain. Also, why do they number each restaurant on the main sign for the building "Sushi Burrito #5"? The mere fact that this place has more than one location is an outcry that emphasizes Utah's dire need for even a hint of cultural diversity. We ordered the Phoenix, Salmon Bomb, and Tsunami burritos...and we enjoyed each of them for different reasons. My Tsunami was awesome... everything I want and love in a sushi roll but triple the size. The only complaint was that it's a small family operation with a tiny kitchen, so when the skiing crowd descends at dinner time, the wait can be long. I've been coming here for a while and I LOVE the food. It tastes so good and I do recommend trying it. Great place. The sushi burritos have long been good. However, they just renovated and expanded their menu a lot so now it's another option in town for good Asian food like Kung Pao, Teriyaki bowls, even pad Thai. Shrimp lover is really good (if you know what bang bang shrimp is, it's almost like that in a sushi burrito form). The Teriyaki chicken bowl is excellent with great quality chicken and fresh veggies. A reliable favorite no longer on the menu (though you can still ask for it) is the Geisha for those of you low-carb people. It's stuffed full of various fish and veggies with only enough rice to seal it up. Perfect place to satisfy a group with both people who like raw fish and those who don't. Heard about this place from a friend so I gave it a shot. First off the place is oddly placed, second the inside wasn't all that clean. I ordered the spicy shrimp tempura "burrito" roll uncut and the tuna roll "burrito". I was pretty darn good, the burritos are really big and one is a quick on the go meal. I will return to this joint as the food is exceptional, I don't live in cedar but I drive thru offten. I do recommend the food. They were very generous with the amount of fish in each burrito! We ordered the Thunderbird (2 thumbs up from the teen), the Hamachi (2 thumbs up from the husband), and the Crazy Tuna (1.5 thumbs up from me) the only thing I wasn't prepared for were the lime chunks and irregularly spread hot sauce in mine. Totally disappointed. I ordered a Teriyaki Beef Bento box. Cost me $8.49. The beef was overcooked, dry and chewy. The rice was lukewarm and stale tasting. I have never had a sushi burrito and I have been missing out. We stopped in Cedar City at the Sushi Burrito and now it is my favorite place to eat. The sushi burritos are fabulous! The restaurant is clean and the service was excellent! The chicken and rice are delicious! The dessert is great and the sodas are pretty fancy and unique. The owners and the staff at the restaurant were really attentive and friendly. My husband and I tried this place for the first time and were extremely disappointed. I ordered the California Sumo burrito and my husband got their Shrimp Lovers burrito. Being sushi lovers and die hard Japanese cuisine fans; we felt like the quality of food and the speed of service that we experienced at this store was absolutely awful.
