Although the flavor of the kalbee was great, I thought the portion was a little small for $15.99 and didn't feel too full afterwards. The sundubu was cheaper ($12.99) and had a good amount of seafood and tofu in it, but tasted a little watered down. It wasn't too spicy either!Regardless, both dishes satisfied our craving for Korean food though! Overall, I think I'd come back, but would probably try other things on their menu!

When I opened the menu, I was sad to see the galbi lunch box - my former go-to - was no longer an option. So I had to settle for one of the other lunch boxes - spicy pork bulgogi. Though the spicy pork bulgogi wasn't as delicious as the galbi (I LOVE Ha Ahn's galbi), it was still a delight to my taste-buds. Regular bulgogi can sometimes be a little too sweet for me, but the spice offered a nice contrast and balance to the sweetness of the meat, which was tender and juicy. In addition to a sizeable portion of pork, my lunch box came with a salad, a crispy mandu, kimchi, seaweed salad, and a scoop of steamed white rice. It was more than enough food to leave me satisfied, especially when combined with the fresh banchan, which included some greens, more kimchi, some sort of steamed egg dish, spicy daikon, and sliced fish cakes. Along with great food, the restaurant provided great service. Our server kept the refills of hot tea (complimentary!) coming. But please bring back the galbi lunch box!!

It's about $32 per person for either all you can eat hot pot or Korean bbq or an extra $5 for both. We had about an hour and a half wait on a Saturday night. I loved the sauce bar and how well stocked it was. You order your veggies and meats on an iPad and they bring it out pretty quickly which is nice. I had the Szechuan spicy broth and it was so good and flavorful, my husband had the Thai tom yum which was also really good. We thought all of the meats and veggies we ordered were really good and fresh. They also have a selection of ice cream cups to grab to end your meal. We will definitely be back!

KPOT is located near the Main entrance to the mall, but you have to enter from the parking lot, there is no direct access into the mall. Once inside there is a bar area and hostess stand. Decor is Asian modern, clean and sleek, but a bit understated. I was seated in a smaller table near the front and quickly greeted by my server who explained how the restaurant works. You have the choice of Hot Pot or Korean BBQ, although you can do both for an additional $5. You order what you want on a small tablet and the food is delivered to the table. I went for the BBQ since the hot pot option did not include shrimp at lunch time. As a pescetarian I ordered the garlic shrimp, spicy fish, spicy squid and mussels along with vegies including eggplant, onion, mushrooms and sweet potatoes along with white rice. While waiting for the food to come out and the grill to heat up I went to the sauce bar up front to get a couple of dipping sauces along with some seaweed salad and kimchi. When the food came out the seafood portions were generous and there were plenty of vegies. There is a general guide to how long you want to cook the items, although I found that most of the food took a bit of extra time. I generally would grill a couple of proteins and vegies at a time, eat them when they were done and then start again, which made for a nice leisurely meal. My favorites were the shrimp and the two different kinds of mushrooms along with the dipping sauces and the sides. The squid was good, but were a bit difficult because they were larger pieces, I should have used the scissors to cut them into smaller pieces to make the cooking easier. The spicy fish was also very good. The large mussels took a bit of time to cook and I finally figured out that turning them over with the shell on top worked better. The vegies took quite a bit of time to cook, especially the eggplant and sweet potatoes. Since it was AYCE I did get a second order of the garlic shrimp and an order of the sesame balls for dessert. KPOT offers AYCE with good quality and even though the seafood selection is a bit limited at lunchtime, since you can reorder what you want there is plenty of food. The grilling at the table can be a bit challenging, but is fun and makes sure you always have fresh and hot food. I do like the sauce and sides bar which allows you to add some extra flavors and variety. The decor is good, but nothing exciting. Service is good

The food is fantastic and is family-restaurant style. While it might not be super flashy and trendy, it doesn't need to be. The food speaks for itself! You cannot go wrong with any dish on the menu, to be honest. While I have a seafood allergy, our many friends and family members that have tried a larger section of the menu have raved about it! My favorites are the japchae and the dol sot bibimbop. I like to add a good helping of gochujang to mine, and I also add some ssamjang to add a little extra to it (sometimes they'll bring out lettuce for some ssam as well!). My husband has tried many of the dishes, but his absolute favorite is the jjajangmyeon. Our toddler enjoys the bits and pieces from our various meals, and also likes the kimbap (she's still figuring out how to eat the seaweed wrapper, but does good work with the interior filling). I will admit that we have not done the KBBQ at Miega, but we've seen the bbq tables filled regularly and the food looks amazing! The staff members are incredibly friendly and kind, and our toddler loves seeing and interacting with them. They are very baby friendly and welcoming! Miega is one of our favorite restaurants and we try to tell everyone about it when they are looking for something new to try. From the incredibly warm and welcoming staff to the truly delicious food, we hope to keep going to Miega for many years to come. We are so happy to have a place like this for our baby to grow up going to as a family favorite restaurant.

Galbi tang came out slot with like 7 ban chan. Also pipping hot. Got three pieces of galbi on the bone. Some glass noodles, bit of veg, and egg drop the soup. Came with a bowl of rice too. They don't have the purple rice option or I didn't see it in the menu. But regardless, galbi tang was delicious. Kinda wish the side dishes were a bit better, kimchi and the radish kimchi was okay. I think we tried everything but the spicy chicken and beef brisket were the favs of the group. Lots of sides and rice. Nobody left hungry that's for sure lol!! Service was great as well. When the server brought us to our table, she seated us at the front near the entrance by the snack corner. We asked if we could move to a table in the back, but she told us those tables were for non-bbq guests. We were okay with that and stayed. However, shortly after, we saw other parties being seated in the back and eating KBBQ. That felt inconsistent and honestly disappointing. We ordered the yookhwe (beef tartare) bibimbap ($20.95), the Korean beef BBQ combo for two ($119.99), prime rib ($44.95), and makgeolli. Honestly, the portions were lot smaller than I expected for the price. Brisket only came with 6 thick pieces and galbi came with 9 to 12 pieces depending on how you cut them. The last straw was just seeing 10 small pieces of prime rib. As for the taste, it was decent but not the best. The banchan, doenjang jjigae, and steamed egg were good, but the beef was tough and hard to chew. The sauce on the marinated galbi actually hardened like candy after grilling and stuck to my teeth and the plate. We cooked most of our meat ourselves, which we didn't mind, but it seemed like our server was busy with other tables. Overall, I was disappointed and probably won't be back. If you've never had KBBQ, it might still be worth (?) a try considering for the authentic experience, but I don't think the service, portions or quality make it worth the price.

One Pot is excellent, the food is high quality, the decor is exceptional and the experience is all kinds of fun. Prices are reasonable, $20 at lunch and $30 at dinner for all you can eat. Service is great, the food comes out quickly and they pay attention to the little things, clearing extra dishes, replacing the grill cover, refilling the fluid in the hot pot. If you haven't done this before the food comes out raw and you cook it yourself at the table either on the grill in the center of the table or in the boiling pot in front of you. Cooking the food can have a bit of a learning curve and different food can be easier or harder to get right, but even so most of the food comes out great. Some of the proteins come out premarinated, others can be enhanced with the sauces, oils and seasonings at the back bar area. The protein choices include meats, chicken and seafood, there are a nice variety of vegetables, rice and in the hot pot noodles and various dumplings. I really need to call out the decor; One Pot has a great Korean pop art style that is amazing. My friend Dan did a trip to Korea this spring and he said that it really reminded him of being in Korean. If you want to have a great high protein meal that is fun and a bit of an adventure I would highly recommend giving One Pot a try. From the outside One Pot looks upscale and conservative, that changes as soon as you walk in the door, the front alcove has a giant silver spaceman and multicolor bears plus plenty of chrome. Inside you get even more of the Pop art bears along with other great décor touches; this would be a great stop before or after going to the Murakami exhibit at the Art Museum. One Pot offers a choice of either all you can eat Korean BBQ or Hot Pot. The menu is clear and allows you to choose what you want with pictures to assist. I choose the BBQ even though I was a bit limited with only the fish, seafood and vegetables. The tables are all set up with receptacles for the hot pots in front of each seat and a grill in the middle of the table. Ordering was easy and they also have QR codes that allow you to order directly on your phone. The food comes out incredibly quickly, of course no cooking is necessary to slow things down. The grill on my table took a bit of time to get heated up, but once it did I was ready to go. The actual cooking is fun and easy, you place your food on the grill, keep an eye on it, flip it over and when ready you take it off and eat the fresh, hot food. I stuck mainly to the proteins: garlic shrimp, giant shrimp, spicy calamari, spicy fish and mussels. I did also get some eggplant, oyster mushrooms, sweet potato and white rice. There are a couple of little buffets with sauces, toppings, kim chi and some daikon and jalapenos. I went through quite a bit of shrimp, calamari and fish all of which were great. Among the best were the garlic shrimp, the spicy calamari, the jumbo shrimp, eggplant and mushroom. A couple of things to note, the giant shrimp were excellent, but they do come still in the shell and with the head on, not a big deal for me, but some people could be grossed out; I could not get the sweet potato to cook properly on the grill, just a bit disappointing. As a Korean place I was also a bit disappointed that the banchan (side dish) selection was so limited, but that is just nit picking. I do have to shout out the service, it was attentive and helpful, without being rushed. One Pot is a great experience and it is great to go to an AYCE place and have delicious high-quality food yet still not feeling overstuffed. The décor is outstanding, the menu is clear and concise. Despite the grills in the table I never felt overheated or had any issue with smoke from the food cooking. Really well thought out all the way around. While not inexpensive One Pot is a good value for what you get. I will be going back both to try the hot pot selection and to do the Korean BBQ again. This is your place on the East Side if you want some great Korean BBQ or just feel like protein loading. Get yourself to Coventry and enjoy.
