Really good quality sushi. It's fresh, tastes amazing and the size of the spicy tuna roll was perfect. I don't like big rolls, and sometimes simple rolls (like spicy tuna, tuna and salmon rolls) are oversized. The clear soup was not my favorite, but the miso soup was amazing. read more

I've been coming here for years. They are consistently delicious and the service is always great. I've never had a bad food item from this place. The speciality rolls are great! They have a good happy hour on the sushi rolls. It is a very causal vibe but always excellent food. I highly recommend this place for affordable and good sushi. read more

After eating at countless sushi restaurants in Orlando, none hold a candle to sushi katana. If you're looking for superb quality sushi, this is the only spot in central Florida where you'll get that. Even pricier more "upscale" restaurants I've tried don't compare. Their nigiri has the most flavorful and fresh fish with perfectly seasoned sweet vinegary rice. It's a must have, my favorite is always the salmon. Every roll you get will also be delicious and good portion size but my personal favorite is the Kirin roll - I get it every time. As far as appetizers go, the Sake Maki is mind blowing! Even the miso soup is great. The service is great as well, always quick and attentive. read more

We wanted to stop at a sushi place on the way back home that was outside and away from Disney so I pulled up my trusty Yelp app and searched. That's how I found Sushi Katana, right outside of the Mall of Millenia. We jetted over there around suppertime on a Sunday and the place was almost dead, however, quite a few to-go orders were leaving out the door while we were there. I really like the ambiance. It's not too dark and very intimate with a sushi bar on one side and the rest as the main dining area. Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives was playing on all the TVs, hahaha must be fans. Our server was very attentive and helped us decide on what we should order. I went with the Earthquake Roll (smoked salmon, krab, avocado, cream cheese, panko fried, topped with baked krab salad, masago, crawfish, and eel sauce) and the Lobster Bomb Roll (panko fried shrimp, asparagus, avocado, red tempura flakes, sweet & spicy creamy sauce; lobster tail baked in mozzarella cheese and mayo, topped with black tobiko). OMG I had no idea what I was in for. Those two rolls were the best tasting ones I've ever had. My boyfriend went on the lighter side and ordered an appetizer of crunchy oysters (fried oysters) with a mixture of shrimp and wasabi sauce. That sauce tho....I've never had wasabi as a creamy sauce before and frankly I think I'd enjoy it this way. He also had ordered nigiri pieces of red and black tobiko, conch, octopus, and squid, all sampled by me and all were on point. Our server asked if we were interested in dessert and I asked what they have. The most interesting one that stuck out with me was the green tea tirmisu. HHHWHAT??!?! Taking two of my favorite foods and mashing them together like that? I had to try it. The presentation was simple and gorgeous, more than what I would ever have expected. He took a few bites of it and let me finish the rest. Man that was amazing. All in all, we were both pleasantly satisfied with our meal and would love to come back again. read more

Don't be fooled! The 4.5 stars with 700+ reviews are misguided. Here's me giving a benefit of the doubt: we didn't order the food they're known for. But maybe the reviews were bought, or they're from a lot of tourists or locals who just haven't had better quality sushi. -Starters: usuzukuri was awfully basic, vegetable tempura batter was too thick and the dipping sauce was mediocre. -Sashimi tasted like it had just been thawed, watery, tasteless. -Shrimp shumai and pork katsu tasted like they came out of a slightly nicer frozen dinner. -Rolls: rising sun was descent. Lobster bomb plating was nice but ultimately was about a 3.5 star. I just don't know if I can trust Yelp reviews anymore. Usually I have to get a combination of Yelp, Google, and blogger reviews. read more

If you know good sushi then this isn't it. If store bought sushi is good then this is the place. Very bland, no texture, generic, etc. The staff were friendly. The woman's bathroom was filthy with no toilet paper. read more

Sushi Katana is a slice above other Japanese restaurants. Pardon the pun but this restaurant, has adventurous fresh food, outstanding service and the precision of a top notch restaurant. I dined here twice in the evening and once using a groupon. From start to finish I was treated like a valuable guest. They were very attentive and performed all of the functions I expect for superior service. Dishes were cleared, drinks filled, needs anticipated. When I first got there I was starving so I ordered edaname while I looked over the menu. My server gave me plenty of time, a few suggestions and ultimately helped me choose the Bahama Mama roll which was great. When I needed to take home leftovers they were placed in a container in a bag with a napkin and fresh chop sticks. The edaname can be either steamed or with spicy garlic flake. The seasoned is not too spicy and I am a wimp. It was by far the better choice. On another visit I had the volcano roll. I have to say either roll could be your whole meal as they are quite large. I did not like the creamy crab type dip that was in the middle of the volcano roll. It took a clean tasty roll and added a rich crab stuffing that was just too much for me. I got the Beef Yakiudon Wok stirred Japanese thick noodles with beef to go for my husband and he enjoyed it. I liked it so I got a small side of yakiudon on my second visit. Tip - they have a sushi dinner, Sushi and Sashimi Platter 8 pieces of nigiri, 9 pieces of sashimi, Katana roll for $30. I saw a couple get this. She did not like nigiri and sashimi so she ate the Katana roll while her dinner partner enjoyed the rest. It came out on two plates and is a real deal. The restaurant is nicely decorated and you can watch the sushi chefs or the two tv's mounted above the sushi bar. In the back there is a couple of chairs, a coffee table and a small fish tanks. I saw two guys come in and order beers and sit in this cute little lounge. I ate solo but I was not alone. I saw two other tables with single female diners. This tells you this is a place where people come and feel comfortable or they really love the food. I think both and I will be a frequent diner at this restaurant. read more

I came back for more! Especially since Groupon has $20 voucher if you want to save money! The only downside to this is that it's only for dinner so you could also save money by doing their happy hour if you come in during the right time! I got the Kodiak roll and the volcano rolls! Both were definitely amazing For the appetizer, I definitely recommend the tuna tataki, it melts in your mouth and it doesn't taste as fishy as the past I've had at other places! read more

So. There was a really big debate between my husband and I on what to rate this restaurant. The food was absolutely great. The recommendations by the waitress were amazing . The place was very full on a Tuesday a for lunch. There brings on the problem. The staff was completely overwhelmed. Two people and sometimes a third was just not enough. We spent most of the time wishing we had a drink. So in the end he won. An overall rating should be TOTAL service. No fault of our waitress it just fell so short. Amazing food can not make up for the lack of Service due to her having too many customers. Bahama Mama and Mardi Gras roll were our favorites. Green mussels to die for. However great food won't make us return. Hope the owner thinks about this. But my guess is it won't really change. read more

I realize this is late, but I haven't been on Yelp in months. That said, I dined at Sushi Katana on 17OCT23 with a neighbor/friend, and both of us ended up with food poisoning. I spent the next day throwing up 4 times; she got sick a few more times than that. Maybe by now the management and kitchen staff have adopted safer handling practices of their sushi, however, I am not taking the chance of getting sick again so I will not be back to this restaurant. read more

Small sushi restaurant located near the mall. Sushi was okay, they have plenty of variety with options for everyone. Shrimp on top of the roll was dry. We ordered a variety of options at the table, looked fantastic when it arrived to the table but everyone's takeaway was a very average experience. The fried gyoza as an appetizer was the best thing we had. Service was mediocre at best, I'm sure this is due to being so busy. Won't be back. read more

This place serves some of the best sushi that I've ever tried! Coming from SF, I was initially skeptical that the sushi served here can compare to sushi establishments in the Bay Area. But I was completely wrong! I was completely blown away with each and every roll that I tried here. My partner and I tried the Kenji roll with truffle oil, the Mardi gras roll with crawfish, the Big H roll with octopus, and the Kodiak roll with baked salmon. I couldn't decide on a favorite because they are all so unique and all so delicious! The sushi was served on a large boat, and the ambiance was great as well. I will definitely be visiting this place again when I return to Orlando. read more

Our server was incredibly nice! Spicy edamame and avocado fries are definitely a great appetizer! My boyfriend and I ordered the "Angel" Special which was a shrimp tempura roll. This roll was absolutely delicious. For dessert we ordered creme brûlée and that was incredibly delicious and on point. The creme brûlée had a blackberry on top and i absolutely love blackberries! In addition the burnt crust of the custard was on point! This is a definite must to visit this restaurant, you won't be disappointed! The vibes and ambiance is very friendly and cozy! read more

I loved this place!! I came here with a friend and the pricing of the sake wasn't crazy expensive. We ended up ordering two bottles of lychee and of course, ordered sushi rolls. The upstream roll was so good we had three orders of it. The environment was nothing but good vibes and the service was excellent. I live near the area and I was shocked that I never tried it before. Highly recommend for a good time with friends or even a date! read more

Not only is the post COVID-19 service amazing, management did an amazing job with providing an atmosphere where locals can feel comfortable. Each table at this restaurant has dividors which allows for helping to keep everyones germs to their self. An absolute must try sushi restaurant in Orlando! I was lucky enough to live near Sushi Katana for a year and probably have eaten here more times than I'm willing to admit. Now, when visiting town this is on my list of go-to's! Sushi Katana is located right in front of the Mall at Millenia off Conroy Road. Situated with a private parking lot, this cozy sushi joint has indoor seating only (tables, booths, and bar seating). When you walk in you're greeted by a host who will seat you. Staff and service here has always been superb; friendly, attentive, and reliable. My friends and I frequent here, so looking at the menu isn't really necessary. Our order is almost always nearly the same, with some occasional changes if we bring along more people. We always order the green tea, either hot or iced depending on our mood! For our meal we split everything; spicy salmon kobachi and spicy tuna kobachi. You can think of the kobachi as a deconstructed sushi roll. It has the fish of your choosing, sushi rice, octopus salad, and seaweed salad! For rolls we got the hurricane roll and the oasis roll. I literally have dreams about the oasis roll. The first time I tried it I was nervous; no rice, soy wrapper, AND topped with a lemon slice? But OMG. the symphony the flavor combos make in your mouth. No other sushi roll compares. Light, savory, tangy, refreshing. It's perfect. Seriously. I could go on about Sushi Katana, but honestly just go and try it and thank me later. Oh, and order the oasis roll. I came here the other day with my family for lunch. We were taken care of pretty quickly and the server was very friendly as well. We got a couple of sushi rolls to share to start the meal. For the entree, we all got different bento boxes. I got a beef bento box. It came with a four piece Cali roll, house salad, fried rice, some vegetables, edamame, a spring roll and a couple Goyza. The food was very delicious, but I wish the portion of meat was larger. I've been to plenty of Japanese restaurants that have lunch bentos, and the meat portion seemed smaller then average. It was very tasty though! The sushi rolls were pretty tasty! One of the rolls we got, the Godzilla roll was massive! The cold tea options were very nice as well! I love when restaurants have a variety of teas. I wish they offered an unsweetened green tea though. The regular unsweetened was nice, but nothing beats green tea with a bento! read more

Best services ever! The server keep checking on us and refilling our hot green tea every time they walked by. The price is acceptable and the food tastes good. The menu is pretty variety and also has lunch special menu. We would definitely come back if we have a chance! However, chocolate ganache and green tea tiramisu are a bit too sweet for us. read more

For the price and quality - you can't beat this place. It's our favorite local sushi place. The food is always fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented. Emilio was our server, and he was great! I ordered the Usuzukuri and the cucumber fuyu roll. I only managed to get a picture of the usuzukuri as I practically inhaled my roll once it came out I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good quality sushi at an affordable price. read more

One of the places we visited during the Christmas holiday. Sushi Katana is located in the strip shopping center in front of the Mall at Millenia. We decided to try this restaurant as we were meeting family in the area. The restaurant was pretty busy, so our party sat at the bar, good change of pace as we get to see some of the items being made. We tried the plum wine and hot saki, I enjoyed the plum wine but not a fan of the saki. We order several dishes, including the lobster roll, fried tofu steaks and tempura vegetables. The lobster roll was delicious, as was the tempura vegetables. The tofu was a bit on the plain side, but the sauces were tasty. Service good considering how busy they were. Our server told us about their great happy hour which we plan to partake in soon. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Sushi Katana. I've been here twice and have had the same server both times (I believe he is the owner, or he definitely conducts himself as one!!). The sushi is absolutely delicious as well as their lunch specials (which for me, ends up being enough for 2 meals at a cost of $11-$13!) My family and I enjoyed a mini sushi boat, I wish I remembered the names of these rolls. The middle one was recommended by the server and is currently not listed on the menu. I believe it is "kenji's roll" and is a riceless roll with 3 yellowtail, tuna & salmon topped with avocado, truffle oil & caviar! It was a DELICACY. Definitely ask about it if you are interested in a special treat. We also finished the meal with the creme brûlée which was fabulous. read more

Not my favorite. The menu is limited if you like rolls that focus on raw fish. Many of the rolls included cream cheese which isn't my favorite. I ended up ordering a few pieces of nigiri and a Mardi Gras roll. The roll description didn't mention the crawfish was in mayo which ruined it. The fish on the nigiri was huge which threw off the balance. The service was ok. Waitress seemed to run into an old friend which kept me waiting but that wasn't a big deal. All in all, you can find better sushi in the area. read more

There was some interview going on between two guys- sounded like it was about the restaurant as I heard them talking about kimchi fried rice. It sounded so good, I ordered that with shrimp. Mom had the bento box lunch. We asked for two cups for water, which she said she would bring to us. We sat for awhile, and saw the others and the to go person get their food. The water cups did not come until after she brought us our food. Maybe that's the way they do it? Anyhow- our food was out in a reasonable time and everything was delicious. I tried some of mom's beef bento box- she got the bulgogi beef and we were both a little shocked that it was ground beef and not thin slices, but the flavor was spot on. My mom did not finish her lunch and I had a small portion of rice left. When I asked for one to go box- the lady almost seemed upset that I didn't want two! She asked me what about my leftovers? To which I said my mom was taking everything in one box. lol. We don't like to waste and I wasn't going to toss mine but it seemed silly to get another box for the little bit of rice I had. So we put it all in one. We paid at the register and took our box. There are many more items on the menu I'd like to try. My mom was pretty impressed with the place. It's nothing to look at, really, but the food is good and she will probably bring her friends here for lunch.

This was my first time experiencing a buffet for hispanic food and for this price point in Orlando, this is an amazing value deal. The server regularly brought us out silverware, napkins, and refilled our water. The place is decorated very fun and plays latin music which was lovely Not only was there an unlimited assortment of lunch foods, but an entire bar of fresh toppings for tacos (or rice bowls) and made to order desserts which were included for free! Not everything on the buffet line was the best but given the amount of options, price, and how good the great items are this is still worth a five star rating. I unfortunately did not take pictures of the food before I began devouring everything in sight to the point of near-collapse, but I will do a quick rundown of the buffet highlights: The best meats were the fajita steak, chicken, and shrimp made fresh in cast iron skillets, as well as the chicken lengua which was super flavorful and tender. The mexican rice, beans, fajitas, plantains, and street corn were also excellent. Fresh quesadillas, chips, and corn tortillas on standby with homemade queso and salsas. The flan and mini churros were the best I've ever had. Super rich, decadent Carmel flan. Mini churros hot and crisp on the outside, filled with a gooey soft milk chocolate center. They were delicious. Items that were disappointing: the tamales, mini chicken flautas, and beef chimichangas were just okay, lacking the seasoning and flavor that other dishes had. The beef barbacoa was not as tender or flavorful as the shredded chicken surprisingly. The mixed seafood was itself a mixed bag with some shrimps / scallops overcooked to much while others were perfectly cooked. The chicken mole and beef tri tip were room temperature despite sitting on hot plates. The tri tip also varied widely in doneness throughout the slices and not super tender. The rice pudding was pretty standard, and the tres leches cake was weird as they crumbled the cake into pieces before soaking it.

So, we got an order to accompany our meals. We did take home most of it, along with lots of broccoli (for me) from the Szechuan scallops. We were treated to a complimentary Chinese-style dessert made with peeled split mung beans and thickened with tapioca starch into a gooey, translucent pudding that was served warm. Our meal of 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 1 order of veggies, a pot of tea, tax, and tip was $138.

Another spot we end up eating because it was on restaurant.com. Was craving Sushi so we ended up having dinner here. We ordered the Mizuumi Boat and the Umi Boat. That was alot of sushi right there and more then enough to feed our family. The spider roll and the mega spicy tuna roll was really good. Not really a Sashimi person but overall, enjoyed myself and left very full which was unexpected considering our family are big eaters and this was a japanese restaurant. My boyfriend and I stopped here on a whim and it turned out to be the best thing ever. Our waiter was Khiet, he was super knowledgeable, and he suggested the perfect meal for us. The booth we sat in had a beautiful and asymmetrical heavy wooden table top polished to a brilliant shine, and there were a surprising number of diners there at noonish, on a Tuesday... what's that tell you? Now: the food! *First, for the technically challenged, be warned that the menu is available via phone and QR Code. If you want a printed menu, too bad. Otherwise... We began our meal with Agedashi Tofu, which is fried cubes of tofu that have a magnificently thin layer of a crisp skin encasing melted tofu, and there's a perfect sauce to dip them in. I have been thinking about these for an hour now and can't even imagine how they are made. A delicious magic trick! Next, we had an Eel and Shrimp Tempura Roll, a Shrimp Tempura Bento Box, and two Nigiri and Sashimi lunch specials. The Tempura was light and crisp. The bento box included a spring roll, fried rice, and gyoza, all perfectly flavored. The Nigiri and Sashimi fish was served cold and absolutely fresh, and was sliced generously. The Nigiri and Sushi lunches included a California roll, 4 pieces of sushi, and six pieces of sashimi, and really was a lot of excellent food for a bargain $24. I almost forgot that we started, along with the Agedashi Tofu, with a very subtly flavored miso soup with tofu and seaweed. This was also perfection, with just a breath of ginger and perfect salt. I hope I've convinced you fans of Japanese food to try this restaurant. If you're new to Japanese food's many varieties and intricacies, or hesitant to eat raw foods, there are always cooked meat and fish dishes like Tempura or Teriyaki you can order, and then you can explore by tasting the more exotic things your friends and family order. Maybe you'll develop a taste for it! If you already have a taste for Japanese food, don't pass up an opportunity to eat a wonderful meal at Mikado, in MetroWest.

Every course was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. What made the evening even more special was how they went out of their way to make my birthday feel celebrated. It added such a personal touch to an already unforgettable meal. They do give you an option to order from a menu after majority of the meal has come out too, if you want to repeat some of your favorite items from the meal.

The bao buns were super soft, and the meat was flavorful. The egg rolls were perfectly crisp and the meat seasoned very well. We also ordered the garlic shrimp lo mein and it was amazing. The shrimp tasted really fresh. The noodles were tender and the sauce that it came with was delectable. Next, we ordered three sushi rolls, which were a coconut Shrimp Roll, a Chimichurri Steak Roll, and Tres Golpes Roll. All the rolls tasted fresh. The Chimichurri sauce on the steak roll was so good I could've drank that sauce as my lunch. The coconut shrimp had the perfect amount of crisps to them and the tres golpes was a unique take on a sushi roll that tasted great and works. This has to be my new fav spot for Latin fusion sushi and can't want to come back.
