Ordered takeout & it was prepared quickly and it packaged nicely! Everything we ordered was amazing. Fresh and great portions. Our favorites were the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice, salmon sashimi and Garlic chili roll.

Ok I see why this place is so highly rated. This has become my new sushi spot. This sushi is so fresh and delicious. You can't get better in Long Beach. We got our order to go and they packaged it perfectly so the flavors didn't mix all over each other. We LOVED the nigiri. Super fresh fish. Great quality. The cut rolls were also delicious. Not a crazy amount of sauce or anything so we could enjoy all the flavors. I absolutely loved their spicy crispy tuna rice (which is not spicy at all). The shumai were the only thing that I thought could have had more flavor, but still very solid option. And of course we got the baked salmon roll which was very good if you like baked sushi. We will definitely be coming back here anytime we want sushi. The inside of the restaurant was well done, it's a nice casual spot on 2nd street so keep that in mind for parking. But it's worth it.

Friendly service, tempura that came out piping hot just seconds from the cooking, delicious and succulent fish, and flavorful tastes all around. SO GOOD!! We stumbled upon this place and were initially attracted to the big fish inside with the many menus available for viewing on the windows. We were so happy to walk in and eat the best sushi. We ordered the seared yellowtail TWICE! It was so delicious. The garlic chili roll was yummy yet the Long Beach roll was even better. We even tried the green mussels and it was BOMB! Service was so welcoming and kind it made us wanna go back whenever we are in the area! Go try it!!!

We were on our way to Saint & Second and as we were driving down Second St we seen @Sushi. We immediately decided we wanted sushi instead. We were all happy with this choice. This place has extremely fresh and tasty appetizers and sushi rolls. We're all definitely coming back. They have mostly inside seating but do have a small little patio. Unsure if people actually eat out there. They have a tv which was nice because we were able to catch the end of the Rams/Bears game last night. Very clean. Great Wall decor. Bathroom was clean. The service was top notch. Very attentive and friendly. For starters we ordered Spicy Garlic Edamame, Garlic Salmon Chili, Spicy Tuna Rice Crispy, and the Shumai. Everything was delicious. They were all 10/10, but that Garlic Salmon Chili was our favorite. The 3 rolls I ordered and enjoyed eating were the Spring Roll, Cucumber Special Roll and the 911 Roll. Both were a 10/10. I would definitely order these again. Out of all the Rolls ordered the fan favorite was the Spring Roll with that amazing sauce. Dynamite. Until next time.

This is one of the best sushi spots in Belmont Shore! I've been here several times and the food is just amazing each time I go. The service is incredible, and if there's a wait they always get you in very quickly, and the charming, energetic owner always greets you and makes sure you are taken care of. There is street metered parking, or you can try to find a spot in the busy neighborhood. The ambiance inside is very quaint, upscale, and charming. Although it's a small spot it's adorable inside and seats plenty of guests. I'm a huge fan of the yellowtail sashimi and I have never gone wrong with ANY of the specialty rolls here-they are all delicious and 5/5!! I love the rainbow roll as well as some of their own special rolls. The real star is not on the menu, but please listen when I tell you to order the pickled wasabi and it will LEVEL UP your sushi experience!!! I also like to enjoy hot saki here with a cold beer and the overall experience is always delightful. Check out this hidden gem for a new sushi experience and you'll be thrilled!

This place was amazing! I noticed that they had 5 stars so I had to try it out myself, and might I say, well deserved! The service was great. The waitress checked on us several times and was very sweet. I came on a Saturday evening and it wasn't crowded at all. The food came out surprisingly fast. I absolutely loved the presentation of everything, especially the baked salmon roll. The food was really good and fresh as well. Definitely the best baked salmon roll I've ever had! Their scallop roll was good. Their garlic edamame and crab & cucumber salad were so delicious. Their sauces are in house made. There is about 4 bar seats outside. There is also more seating available indoor as well, which is where I sat. Very small, intimate place. I loved everything about my experience and would definitely return. There is so many food options to choose from. Thank you!

This was my first time here and all I can say is wow. The sushi is very fresh, service is excellent, everyone is so friendly. The restaurant is nice and cozy with a lot of space between tables. Restaurant is very clean and all the employees were helping each other to cater to their guests. The food and service is what will keep me coming back.

Best sushi in long beach! I've been here twice and there's always been little to no wait given that it's a pretty small restaurant. It's a wonderful restaurant for a special occasion or night out on Belmont. We ordered the blue fin tuna, salmon tataki, hot day roll, and Long Beach roll. The blue fin tuna was so fresh with the fresh wasabi. The salmon tataki was my second favorite with the truffle oil that cuts through the classic lemon salmon combo.

10/10. The salmon tataki roll has a slight truffle taste that is so delicious and the eel hand roll was cooked to perfection. The eel was tender, carmelized, smokey, and overall super balanced. The qualify of the fish was amazing and worth the money. The owner was super sweet snd definitely tried to connect with his customers. They close at 9 yet they still served us till 9:15 with the same amazing service, no rushing or anything. Also, the location of the restaurant is perfect to get a sweet treat afterwards or even shop! The place includes a bar and slightly moodly lighting, it is a little small but the owner makes sure you dont wait too long to get in and served so that is always appreciated! Highly recommend if you can!

It is with great pleasure I am writing a second review for @sushi. I returned this year with more guests and we were treated to an incredible evening leaving my good British friends gobsmacked. We enjoyed a culinary world tour on our plates featuring fish from around the world. Last year, I raved about the yellowtail and this year was no exception. The bluefin toro and the albacore were the best I've ever had. The uni was clean, sweet, and had a beautiful texture. I can't wait to come back next year with more friends and colleagues. Everything was Amazing! Our Server was a Sweetheart (I think her name was Jade). The food was Outstanding. Everything was So fresh. I wish I could give this place negative stars... Last time I went this place, it was okay. And today I made a reservation thru Yelp. When I arrived at the place, they told me they don't accept any reservation thru Yelp. So wait time is going to be more than 1 hour. Ridiculous!! As all the other places at Belmont were packed with people and the waitlist was ridiculous, we got lucky to find @sushi. This place has wonderful customer service and delicious food. Their outside seating is very nice and quiet. Their cream cheese wontons are amazing and the rest of their food is as great. You must try it and for sure we will be going back. read more

Delicious food and a great environment. Probably one of the best sushi spots I've ever been to. Highly recommend the lobster sushi rolls those are unbelievably good ! Their fried wontons are so good too . Eat outside for some cool vibes . Can't complain at all if I could give 10 stars I would!! The rolls and soft shell crab was not bad. The Udon was too simple. It felt lacking. If you are coming here just be aware that it is on the pricey side. I spent $87 (tip not included) here for 3 rolls, the soft shell, 1 udon and 1 beer. Again not saying the food is bad, but it is 2nd street so be ready to drop some dough for the location. read more

I went with a group for the first time during COVID. We ended going a second time because we had a great experience. As a foodie, I am especially picky about sushi. We started with oysters, which were fresh and tasty. The rolls are good and they put enough fish, which is also fresh. I appreciate that the owner is always there and works hand in hand with his workers. He always makes sure everything is great and everyone is happy. They are very accommodating to my fiancé's gluten allergy. They had gluten free soy sauce, and were knowledgeable about what items and ingredients contained gluten and what she could substitute it with. Absolutely the best sushi around and always fresh! Song and all the servers are extremely friendly and attentive. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars because they definitely deserve it. Some of our favorites are the 2nd Street roll, any of the carpaccios (salmon, halibut, yellowtail - all incredible), soy paper salmon, spicy popcorn lobster roll ... honestly, I don't think you can go wrong! My wife and family have been going to @Sushi since it opened and to Yun Song's, other restaurant, until he closed it. You will not find fresher food anywhere. There is a large selection of Sushi and Sashimi and they are all delicious. There are many Rolls and warm food and udon to select from. Yun carries Sakes, Beers, Wines and soft drinks. It is not large but he will try to accommodate larger groups if he can. Try @Sushi and you will be happy you did. Don't forget to try the Fatty Yellowtail it's fantastic. When I got home with that one it was like a California roll or something. I had to drive back for them to do it again!

A couple practical notes: parking is easy overall, but the lot is shared with the motel, so just be mindful where you park and try to stay closer toward the restaurant side of the lot. Also, this feels much better suited for couples or small groups than large parties. Four people would be ideal. Six is probably pushing it unless the restaurant is unusually quiet. Stumbled upon this place while driving down second street with some friends. It was a quiet Sunday night and they appeared to be fairly new so we decided to stop in to try it out! As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed by such friendly staff and seated right away. The first thing that caught my eyes was the Black Snapper! I don't know many restaurants that carry it so I knew I had to try it. So I ended up getting the chefs 8piece sushi combo with an order of Black Snapper Sushi and our table shared the Albacore Delight Roll and the Hot Night Roll. The 8 piece sushi came with 2 pieces each of Salmon, Tuna, Yellowtail, and Albacore and your choice of miso soup or salad. The sushi, including the Black Snapper, was SUPER SUPER fresh and had the perfect rice to fish ratio. I was a little skeptical at first due to the high prices, but the quality of the fish was completely worth the price! Will definitely be back to try the Sashimi next. As for the rolls, they were all cut beautifully and had the perfect amount of sauce. I know some places like to drench their rolls in various sauces to hide the quality of the ingredients, but the rolls were completely balanced and delicious~ The overall atmosphere was super cosy and my friends and I were able to enjoy our meal with some good draft beer too! There can be a wait at times, but the delicious food makes it worth it. My favorite appetizer is their garlic spicy edamame--spicy and delicious. I also love their spider roll, which features soft shell crab. The service is great, with staff frequently checking in on you. If you get to sit by the window, you can enjoy some people-watching, which makes for a fun time. I highly recommend this spot if you're into sushi. read more

I love this place. This is the place where I met my boyfriend for the first time, so we try to visit here whenever that sushi craving hits. One thing I order every single time is the baked green mussels, and I have to say... they are FIRE. So flavorful, baked perfectly, and honestly one of those things I'm not willing to share lol. I've tried different items each time I've come, and I always leave satisfied. What really adds to the experience though is the service. The workers are always welcoming and attentive. Good sushi, a happy hour that actually has things you WANT to order, great service, and I leave happy every time. Definitely one of my Long Beach favorites!

The edamame was good. Even when it was packaged in a container, the steam didn't overcook it. I really enjoyed the salmon lovers roll. Salmon is my favorite which is why I got that. They out just enough salmon inside the roll where you can actually taste it. My husband and I enjoyed the Philly crunch roll. I enjoy food with texture, so the tempura flakes on top gave it nice texture in contrast to the soft texture you get from the salmon and cream cheese bite you get from the inside. My husband ended up not eating the miso salmon, so I ate it. I ate half in a separate plate and added the miso sauce (since it came in a separate container). I was good. The salmon could use a little seasoning. The miso taste is very subtle, but was good. I know it's meant to be a healthy dish. The vegetables were steamed, so again it didn't have much flavor. But overall it was a good dish. Because we ordered thru a third party, they packed the food really well. And I like how they have the utensils, chopsticks, napkins already pre-packaged so it's easy to include in to-go orders.

When i called the restaurant, they acknowledged their mistake and not only allowed us to keep the chicken bowl, but we got a full refund and they made us the salmon bowl on the house! I just wish the portions were bigger :/
