This place is just down the road from home when they opened walked one late afternoon just to check the place out asking if they had any specials was told "no" and left. Imagine my surprise when reading on Yelp there is an all you can eat option on a Saturday afternoon?! Not having sushi in awhile jumped in the shower and got my ass over there quick. Walking into a full restaurant expected to wait a few minutes and after a reasonable amount of time was taken to a table. An order for sake was given, shortly after it arrived I was left ...... Seriously left - 1-To look at and change the order in my head twice. 2-Look at Facebook to check in and leave a note. 3-Check emails and back to Yelp to check reviews. 4-The ladies room. Tracking down the manager and letting him know that I'd been sitting there for a solid ten minutes + after drinks had arrived was getting irritated that people who came in after were already ordering finally got things started. Round one - Seaweed and Tuna Tataki Salads. Yellow tail, Octopus, White Tuna Sashimi. Tuna and Squid sushi. A Spider Roll and an American Dream Roll. Shrimp tempura. Tuna Tataki - Salad was quite good the dressing being a bit spicy. Seaweed Salad - Had a bit of cucumber added was not overly salty as some can be. This had to be asked for two more times and was finally dropped on the table half way through my dinner. Yellow Tail and White Tuna - Good cuts and flavorful. Octopus - Was way to chewy not a good piece had to spit it into a napkin. Tuna and Squid - Tiny little pieces with rice to match. Spider Roll - Fine. American Dream Roll - Liked this has fried rock shrimp and topped with a spicy kani salad was meaty and filling. Round two - Shrimp Hibachi - Fine. A Beef Skewer - Orders come in two got one, didn't like it no flavor tasted like it was thrown into a pan and fried. Round three - Kani Salad - Fine, like the spicy kani salad much more. Spicy Tuna Gyoza - The textures just didn't work for me. It has a chopped tuna mixture put into a wonton wrapper and deep fried. It needs the spicy sweet sauce it comes with otherwise there is no flavor and therefore a waste of calories. (I saw this being placed on several tables but personally would never order it again). Dessert - Green Tea Ice Cream - Was Dropped on the table with a spoon it comes in clear plastic container with a lid is gross the flavor is overbearing. Two bites in asked for the vanilla this was bearable but the presentation lacking. It comes in a paper container with a pull top. Service was less than stellar they need more wait staff on the floor there were 3-4 on a packed Saturday night with one food runner. The manager was running food as well. *This is a personal pet peeve the waitresses do no use trays here and when clearing tables put there fingers inside glassware four glasses at a time then immediately walking by grabbing your glass to fill with water GROSS. Watching more than two people do this without washing their hands freaked me out. Being a server this is a big (Huge) No No. Summing it all up the food (most) was "good" the service not so much. Next time will know what to expect when sushi is on the brain and the tummy needs to be filled. Sushi Oshawa is known for their AYCE. They don't have the highest quality fishes but they bank on flavor combinations and service. I haven't been post pandemic but haven't been disappointed with their takeout. I can't wait for AYCE once I feel safe with indoor dining again. read more

AYCE sushi buffet in Peachtree Corners. Boom. First off it's not the "go get if yourself" style. You tell the waitress and she'll bring it out. But this isn't bad. You can order as many as you want at any time. You don't have to finish a previous plate to order more. You just have to eat it all or else they'll charge a la carte prices. You can order ANYTHING on the menu (just 3 of the 4 dessert items will cost you $2.50 more each.) Makes total sense. So off I went. I got the salmon, tuna, and yellowtail sashimi. The tuna was just blah but the other two were pretty good. We got several types of rolls. They were all good and didn't come with 10lbs of rice per roll. We also go the salmon hibachi, which is grilled noodles and salmon with teriyaki sauce. The shrimp hibachi was a disappointment from a previous yelper's picture. In theirs the shrimp were large tail on, but ours was just small frozen shrimp. The Tuna Tataki salad's tuna were thinner than a previous yelper's pic, but still decent. I'm starting to think the first few weeks had the best food to lure customers but what they brought out was still solid. The online pics are definitely not what you should expect. Only ghetto thing was the ice cream. They have green tea and vanilla. The vanilla was a small cup (see pic) and the green tea came in a plastic to go cup. Weird but tasty nonetheless. The service could be brushed up some. They don't come back to check on you so that was annoying but the place is small enough to be able to flag workers down. You're not getting all the other stuff you would get at Nori Nori (cooked foods, noodles, etc.) but you're also not paying $35 here. New open ayce Japanese food place. I guess this is the new style of ayce lately... It's not like buffet style anymore... It's by order and you don't have to grab a plate and walk around in the restaurant which that don't not require big space in the restaurant and save some rent. That's why the space between table and table is kinda narrow. I would say it's a pretty standard Japanese food. Not to bad but nothing really surprise me. Appetizer: Such as tempura shrimp, calamari, edamame, skewer, etc. Nigiri/ sashimi: also pretty simple kind such as tuna, salmon, eel, yellow tail, white tuna etc. Rolls: the have some rolls that name pretty funny... "Sexy on the beach"is pretty good, it has mango in there and wrap with soybean paper. "She is not" is alright... "Out of control" is totally under control. Gazelle is a whole deep fried roll. American Dream has crab on top and tempura shrimp inside. Hibachi: comes with the meat you order and the some vege( you can request for no vege) it's pretty good, we had salmon and steak hibachi. They cooked the steak pretty good, but salmon is over cooked. Fried rice and Yaki udon/soba are also available. Dessert options are fried banana or ice cream. Fried banana does not look like what they show on the picture but I like it. Icecream has 5 flavor I believe. Chocolate, vanilla, green tea, red bean, and mango. They just ice cream... Nothing surprised me at all other than red bean... Cuz red bean is bad! Doesn't taste like red bean...taste like artificial. Couple good thing about this place. They have 4 sushi chef. It's faster than I expect. Also, it's $23 per person. Reasonable price. They did not mention anything about how long you can stay there. So technically... All you can eat sushi made to order? Sign me up! For $23 (dinner at least), you can opt for the AYCE option and order off the AYCE menu, which is surprisingly very large and diverse. Menu includes an array of appetizers, sushi/sashimi, rolls, hot entrees, hibachi, and ice cream. I was expecting quality to be sub par but was pleasantly surprised. All dishes came out well-made and very well presented. As with other AYCE options, all members of your party must participate in AYCE - it's only fair to the business owners after all so others won't be sneaking off a bite from your endless menu options. I went with a large party of 14 on a Friday night so it was most definitely busy. Service while attentive, was a little slow. They got us drinks pretty fast and our orders were taken but it took a while for the food to come out. If possible, I'd avoid going during peak dinner time on the weekends. Regardless of the slow service, all the food that we got was very good and they never once gave us attitude about ordering too much or too often. Because the food came out so slow though, we did get full faster just because everything had time to settle. While others might be annoyed over this, I was actually satisfied so that I ate enough to be content and didn't have to be "rolled" out of the restaurant. Our favorites of the night: Appetizers: Tuna pizza, yellowtail jalepeno, tuna tataki salad, rock shrimp Sushi/Sashimi/standard rolls: ALL the things! If I could give this place negative stars I would. I rarely ever give bad reviews but this place takes the cake. They win first prize for worst restaurant I've ever been to. I ordered food for pick up and when I went to pick up my sushi, it wasn't ready yet. The woman at the front said it would take about 15-20 min for my food to be ready. I thought to myself okay no problem I can wait. After 20 min of waiting I asked if it was ready and again she said 15-20 minutes. This continued for an hour. They took one hour to give me my food and kept telling me 15-20 minutes. I've never been to a restaurant with such terrible customer service. And on top of it all, the sushi wasn't even that good! I will never come back here again and I recommend everyone reading this to stay away and go get your sushi from somewhere else! read more

If you are cheap like me and love Japanese food like me, you should try this place out! During weekends, it's 23 dollars for lunch and dinner for unlimited buffet! This isn't the stale buffet place you go to stuff yourself. You will pick out whatever you want in the menu and it will be freshly made! It's 13 bucks for lunch during weekdays. I have never eaten lunch during weekdays but lunch during weekends is amazing! Their sashimi are fresh and tasty. Please note that there is only sushi options for eel. Eel is absolutely amazing and I couldn't stop eating. Their sushi is good because they just put right amount of rice! That's so important for any type of sushi!! As for desserts, my friends loved fried banana with ice cream. Just like other Asian restaurants, there is no designated server for an each table so services at some of Asian restaurants substandard. Waked in today not knowing that they had an all you can eat option for lunch ($15.99). Normally I would be a little skeptical of all you can eat because it usually lakes quality and freshness but I was pleasantly surprised. Everything was prepared to order and tasted good. I tried 2 types of rolls and several kitchen items including the rock shrimp, dumplings and seaweed salad. The servers were all good but don't expect to get a quick lunch on your work break. This is a good spot. My parents are regulars here. I think you should swerve the hibachi (it's disappointing) and go straight for the sushi. The sushi here is really good and affordable. For those of you with shellfish allergies, a good number of the specialty rolls actually have neither shrimp nor crab. I tried the Simba Roll, the AAA roll, the Sunset roll, and the Out of Control roll . Each of the rolls has a good amount of fish and a nice balance of other ingredients (vegetables, sauce) to the fish and rice. I liked how the AAA roll had chunks of apple mixed in with the fish. The Simba Roll is nice to have if you want a lot of different fish and not too much sauce. I liked the Out of Control roll the best though. Presentation is decent overall. I would rate the sashimi as four star sashimi. Very good for an all-you-can-eat place. Orders come out reasonably quickly considering that you can order as much as you want for each plate. Critiques: The gyoza and tuna tataki salad are not extraordinary, but still good. Dressing on the salad is more salty than sweet. This place is amazing! I got surprised for my birthday and my family and friends took me here. We did an all you can eat dinner special that was around $27 and you can have unlimited sushi/appetizers/hibachi but it's not a buffet, you order them one by one so each dish is prepared fresh. You can also get nigiri (max 15 pieces but its a good amount) as well as various things you probably did not think about. I can't remember how much of what I ate, but everything was amazing!!! There was a cream cheese roll that was my favorite. I loved the godzilla, but if you do the unlimited you are going to want to stay away from the heavy rolls. The appetizers chicken karaage/chicken skewer/beef skewer/dumplings all were really good. Every nigiri piece I had tasted fresh. The staff was really nice and easy to talk to. They played a relaxing instrumental (mostly violin) covers playlist that made my birthday even more fun. Every time I crave sushi I come to Sushi Osawa and ask for Lena. I would not consider myself a "regular", I dine in maybe once every month or so. However, Lena brings my usual drink to my table before even greeting me (sweet tea with extra lemon) which given the handful of times I've been I think it is very impressive, she even remembers what I start off with (soup or salad) and that I get my sushi without avocado. Talk about great service and memory right? I have had the All You Can Eat menu and it's worth every $26 and some change. I was expecting for this price, the rolls would be decently sized. When my food was delivered, it was in a tiny bag. I was thinking, oh crap, they forgot something in my order. No, it was all there and it fit into one tiny tray. How in the hell do you fit 2 full size rolls and 4 pieces in one tray thats 6 inches long??? Oh, because they were super tiny and not worth the price. I don't know who benefits from the markup price for items when ordering online but it's whatever. I chose to pay for the convenience but that roll to the left alone was 17.95 on Uber Eats. I already ate 4 pieces to taste them before making this review. The taste is ok but I'm so upset about the price and size that the flavor goes out the window. I even took the time to look on their site to see photos of the rolls I ordered. Absolutely misleading. They are half the size. I understand when taking photos they make it look prettier than what you actually recieve but this is NOTHING like the picture at all for the "out of control roll". I feel I have to share this review. We have lived in the area for over a year and have been coming to this restaurant for a while. We have celebrated over 3 birthdays among other dining experiences. Tonight was my final straw and I will not be back. My 9yr old daughter - who is the pickiest of eaters - asked if she could taste one of my sushi rolls (in front of our server). She was ordering her own kids meal and I was ordering $26.00 AYCE dinner so I was planning to get a bunch. We weren't being deceitful and trying to scam the restaurant. I even thought they knew us by now. The server told me I could not give my daughter a bite of my food. That it was against the rules. I questioned her and said I understood but I wasn't trying to get away with a free meal, I just wanted to see if she liked it. She tells me no. I am not allowed. So I wanted to leave but the kids really wanted their teriyaki kids meals so we decided to stay. Then my mom also ordered AYCE and her food just never came. The kids got their meals, I got a few items but my mom still had not received any of her food. She got up and was frustrated and expressed her frustration to the server who just argued back with her. Then they brought one of her items - 15 pieces of sashimi. It didn't taste well and she didn't eat it all. We tried to speak to the manager and she just told us (and I quote) "it is your decision not to think we did a good job" - my mom said, "first of all I didn't even get my food and after my daughter's last food was dropped off nobody even came back to see if she wanted more to eat. For the amount they charge - it shouldn't have been this way. We were so excited to come because we had not been to eat there in a while but we were so disappointed. Our entire dining experience was just terrible from that point on. I think what upset me the most was that they didn't even try to make it right or work with us. Sadly, my last order from Sushi Osawa was this past weekend. The food was fine, as always. The sushi is always good. However, in my honest opinion, the rest of the menu items are below average when compared to other restaurants in the area. We've always ordered there due to location and our desire to support local, family-owned businesses. And most of our order is usually sushi. Again, the food is fine. The Conflict: We ordered via grub hub and tried to change the order after submitting it. Just added two rolls. However, an entire 2nd order was submitted! User error!!! Call the restaurant. Here's the issue... the staff person acted like she did not understand what was going on and demanded that I call grub hub to straighten it out. Grub Hub told me to immediately call the restaurant, which I had already done. Grub Hub then called the restaurant to inquire and was told the order had already been made and can't be cancelled (after we asked them to not make the 2nd order when we called immediately). GrubHub refused to refund us over $150 until I spoke with a manager and he looked at the time stamps of the call. The restaurant WAS NOT TRUTHFUL about the status of my order and tried to double my order. Thankfully GrubHub corrected the issue. However, I was extreemely disappointed in Osawa. I want to support locall business, especially right now, which made me feel conflicted about even requesting a refund. However, I will take my business to someone else in need next time. read more

First of all few things you need to keep in mind before you come here: 1) It's an AYCE eat place so bring your A game 2) They can get very crowded during lunch hours, so with the limited stuff they have service can be painfully slow. So try to avoid lunch hour rush and go after 2. 3) They are moderately priced (specially lunch) for a sushi AYCE, so do not expect the quality to be of any high end sushi place, but they are pretty good. Now coming to my experience, I have been to this place probably 5-6 times during lunch hours. I have come here at different hours during the lunch time. Sometime I have finished my lunch in 30 minutes, sometimes it took more than an hour. So the second point is very important. Like most sushi places they have a ordering menu where you mark your order and they serve it at your table. Here, other than sushi you get noodles, fried rice, dumplings and meat skewers. So if you are not much into sushi, still you will find things that will satisfy your cravings. Sushi menu contains different kinds of rolls and nigiri sushi (max 10 per person). Overall I never had bad experience at this place, they always have met my expectations. They are the only place in ATL that I know of who has this concept of ordering from menu but AYCE. I know it's pretty popular at the west. Surely I will suggest people to give this place a try. read more

Allow me to give you a quick history of this place. The price use to be around $22 for truly unlimited sushi and roll. Fast forward to 2017, they raised the price to $26 AND imposed a limited of 20 sushi per person FOR THE ENTIRE MEAL. Anymore, you will have to pay extra. While this is borderline false advertising, we went in anyways. For my 20 pieces, I ordered 10 tuna and 10 mysterious "white fish" (aka raw tilapia). You would think that since they raised the price and set a limit on how many sushi you can order, they would at least give you a decent size sashimi right? WRONG! The white fish they gave me are literally the width of a regular chopstick (see picture). I called the waitress over and complained. She said that's how it usually is and if I don't like it, just don't order it next time. What utter bull crap. With this crap of a service and terrible quality, no wonder we were the only table in the restaurant. Then she went to sushi chefs and started talking smack in mandarin (my native language) as if we weren't there. She came back to our table to refill water and we spoke to her in mandarin (we spoke to her all in English before this), letting her know that we heard it all. She went back to the sushi chefs and continued talking smack in a different (FuZhou) dialect at a normal tone which I also can understand. At this point, I don't know if I'm full from sushi or full from anger. We left the restaurant and will never come back ever again. I've never given a zero tip on dining before. I guess this restaurant should be happy that they're the first on my record. Tl:dr AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. If you want to get full of sushi this is the place to go but if you looking for quality this in not the place. The pink soy paper that they use to wrap the rolls tasted like soap. The Out of control roll was extremely soggy it tasted really bad and they want to charge me for the roll because lefts overs are not allowed on the all you can eat $26. Sashimi was also soggy texture and chewy. The avocado salas was drenched with dressing, so please order with dressing on the side. Definitely not coming back. So far sushi is ok. Staff are really nice. Sushi rice needs more vinegar. But fish quality is pretty awesome. I will definitely visit again since they are newly opened. Hopefully they can fix the rice issue. Lunch price is fairly cheap for ayce sushi. Makes me miss California's ayce sushi. Overall my experience was great. I came on a Saturday for a early lunch around 11AM. I was only offered the buffet option on the weekend of $15.95 a person. This buffet style is made to order. You check the boxes of the rolls or nigiri you want and they bring it out to you. I like the made to order idea, but there were no pictures or descriptions. Its hard for me to decide what I want if I can't see it. In addition to that, I usually don't want a whole roll for a buffet. Its hard to try everything, when they have strict policies of you must finish what you order or else you get charged. It was a nice idea, but I prefer the buffet line style. I've eaten here for lunch quite a few times and have always had good experiences. The sushi is not the best and I can barely eat 1 roll myself but everything else they offer on the menu is awesome and is worth coming back for. $15 for AYCE hibachi dishes, seaweed salad, tempura, udon and do much more is sooo worth it! read more
