Yakisoba with tofu (I had taken a couple of bites)
    Joan R.

Tried this place for the first time with my daughter for dinner on a Monday evening. We sat outside because it was so nice, ordered edamame to share and I got the Yakisoba with tofu which was delicious. We also shared some Dr Dan rolls which were quite tasty. Service was spectacular. I look forward to returning and sitting inside to experience the vibe there.

We arrived at 8:30pm on a Sunday night for a late dinner and snack. They told us that we needed to order and be done eating by 9pm because they closed at that time. While they were somewhat curt about it, it was understandable and typically service is much warmer and friendly. We quickly ordered an asparagus roll and a unagi-don. The food came quickly. Was nicely presented and tasted good. Place is super cute, cozy, with a casual vibe.

My favorite sushi spot in STL - great quality food and quick service. Inside and outdoor seating options (always kept clean) in a good location. Good atmosphere inside, though it can be pretty busy (for good reason) since it's a smaller restaurant.

The sushi is delicious! My husband and I sat outside, and the service and setting were perfect for a relaxing evening.

We had an *alright* first experience at Sushi Station in Downtown Webster Groves. Nothing was great, nothing was terrible. The atmosphere was visually beautiful but the blasting Christian music was rather... unexpected... for a restaurant of this type! The service was pretty disappointing, we had to leave cash on the table because our waitress never came back. The food was pretty good. My Mom enjoyed her Teriyaki Chicken but did bite into a couple tough pieces. Her rice was also very fluffy and she enjoyed the salad that was included. I got the Orange Chicken Appetizer which was nice and crispy, and a singular Spicy Tuna Nigiri was just okay. Again, the rice was great but the tuna tasted a bit too icy (frozen?) for my liking. We probably wouldn't come back anytime soon, but it wasn't the worst meal we've ever had. The location is very convenient and the prices weren't that bad.

Sushi Station in St. Louis completely exceeded my expectations. The customer service was phenomenal- friendly, attentive, and fast! My food came out quickly, and every sushi roll was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell they take pride in what they do. It's hard to pick a favorite because everything I tried was amazing. They have spaced out sittings and outside sits when the weather is favorable. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for great sushi and top-notch service in STL

Ordered online. Said it was ready at 6:36...sat until 7:20 before it was actually ready. Fix your system. Order system was screwed up - said it was having technical issue. So it posted twice on my credit card. They refunded one of the orders but kept the tip. See attached.

Eassily one of my favorite sushi spots in STL. The sashimi here is some of the freshest I've had in the saint louis. consistently clean and high quality, and the prices are very reasonable for what you get. The Caliente roll was really good and full of flavor. The service made the experience even better. The server was attentive, friendly, and quick without feeling rushed. The ambience is relaxed and comfortable, making it a great spot to actually enjoy your meal. For the price and quality, this place really stands out. Definitely a go-to for sushi in STL.

Everything so fresh! Loved the super white tuna, squid salad and teriyaki chicken. Perfect meal!

Sushi Station is one of my favorite sushi spots in the STL area. Every time I have been here I can taste how fresh the fish is. Even the more "simple" rolls are still satisfying and worth trying out. Some of my favorite appetizers include the karage and the spicy edamame with chili oil included in it. The appetizer menu itself is expansive with plenty of unique options. Every roll I have tried has been delicious - would recommend pairing a simple roll with one of the more special rolls. On this recent visit, I had the Crunchy Spicy Salmon Roll and the St. Louis Roll. I also appreciate that the menu features plenty of cooked rolls and various Japanese noodle / rice dishes, making this a perfect spot to take someone that is intimidated by raw fish. Sushi station has a lovely outside patio seating as well and is perfect for when the weather is nice. I'm looking forward to heading back soon and trying out some more rolls.

    Rangoon (4 Pcs) Delicious!

Food Ambiance Service Good overall place to enjoy sushi. The popcorn chicken appetizer was off the charts!! Crab Rangoon was scrumptious as well. Hot Sake was delish. My salmon sushi roll was ok. One of those "had worst, had better" rolls. The place is very nice and upscale looking, and the customer service was great, and always on point.

The manager wqs so RUDE! They charged 15% tip for carry out . When asked, she said "You can cancel it if you want . You don't have to eat here and we don't have to make food for you." RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!!

We ordered a few sashimi and we expected them to be a little fancier. That was on us. The server as with Indo, above and beyond nice, I think they are accustomed to a lot of questions. Ours was amazing, she said "we don't fork shame here" I fork shame, but she refused. Good for her! I also ordered a cocktail. I would arrive to Sado just for this cocktail, it had a coconut pillow top, that was reminiscent of a marshmallow. Delightful compliment to my savory dinner. I was very surprised at the size of Sado on the inside, we made a turn into the seating then a second turn deeper into seating. I did not get to check out the bathrooms, which disappointed me, but the ambiance was very dark and romantic, also unexpected, there were several tables of friend groups.

The chefs are always hard at work in the kitchen and you can tell everything is made with love. I had never had any issues here with the food nor the staff. However, I had a different experience in April. My friend made a reservation for his birthday today. It was the groups' first time coming and they were all very excited. We called multiple times to make sure a group of 12 was okay. We are all aware that not every restaurant is suitable for such a big group, but were told it was not a problem. As soon as we sat down, we could tell one of the servers was very annoyed at the group. From the start, he would answer with an attitude, harshly put the plates on the table, and was outright disrespectful when we asked about a friend's plate that never arrived. This person ended up leaving and going to eat somewhere else. I was a server before and understand that big groups can be frustrating. Nevertheless, there is no excuse to treat a table so rudely when they have been nothing but nice and understanding. The food was great, but we were all extremely dissapointed, specially me since I've been here numerous times with no problem. I had never seen this server before, so I'm not sure if it was an off day for him or what. Most people said they would not come back, which made me very sad since it's good food. Thankfully, the female servers were all very nice and accomodating after the entire situation. I highly recommend Sushi Koi for their rolls. However, do not come in big groups.

Ambiance: Very nice, dark, cozy -- date night vibes…read more Service: Great! Polite, smiles, answered all our questions. We started with the Isaan hamachi. It was okay, but compared to Sado's version it just didn't hold up. The biggest issue was the aroma--it had a sour, almost "rotten milk" smell. I'm not sure if that was from the coconut milk reacting with the acidity of the dish and was intentional, but it really affected the overall experience. The flavor itself was decent, but smell plays such a big role in taste. Next was a white fish sashimi (I can't remember the name) served over a thin orange slice and topped with jalapeño. The flavor combination was really nice and refreshing, but the slices of fish were paper thin. At around $20, I expected a more substantial portion. The gyoza was solid. Nothing groundbreaking, but well-executed with great flavor, a beautiful crispy lace, and honestly one of the best-smelling dishes we ordered. The palm sugar ribs came highly recommended, so I was excited for them. Texture-wise they were excellent--crispy outside, juicy inside--but the sauce had an overpowering aroma that reminded both of us of wet dog. My guess is the fish sauce was a little heavy-handed. I've had plenty of dishes with fish sauce before and love the depth it adds, so I don't know if this was intentional or just an off night. The flavor itself was good, but the smell made it difficult to fully enjoy. (It was pungent in the worst way) The standout of the night was the Japanese eggplant. Absolutely incredible. Perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and the chili crisp brought everything together. Easily a 10/10. For dessert, we had the mango custard coconut cake, which was also delicious. Favorite cocktail: the Re-Animator. Refreshing, citrus-forward, with just enough wasabi to give it a subtle kick. I've never had anything quite like it and would absolutely order it again. Overall, it wasn't the strongest first impression. There were definitely some highlights--the eggplant, dessert, and cocktail were all excellent--but if I'm spending this much on dinner, I'd probably choose Sado, where every visit has been consistently outstanding. That said, I'd still come back for that eggplant alone. This reads more like an honest dining journal than a takedown. It gives credit where it's due, clearly explains why certain dishes didn't work for you, and ends on a fair note rather than a harsh one.
