Now, I think Rol its sister restaurant has taken its popularity but overall I would say Sup has never disappointed me in all of its years in opening. High quality food with a fair price and though they don't advertise it anymore, the unlimited noodles is still one of the best parts about eating here. I would say the only thing about SUP, is unlike its sister restaurants, it doesn't have as much of a rotating menu and their limited/seasonal items are a bit hit or miss (personally). But I don't mind because I think their base menu doesn't need much straying. The service is top notch like all of their restaurants but the restaurant itself tends to be a bit loud (like all of their restaurants). Nice, modern, casual place to eat, good for all ages.

So I am finally writing a review here after having tried this place about 10 times now. I am blown away at the consistency of the food. Always fresh, delicious and perfect. By far the best thai food I have ever had ( and I've tried at least 2 dozen other thai places). I am hooked! the Tum Yum soup is sooo darn good and the pad thai is awesome. As I sat waiting for my order, I watched the lady who was preparing the food and she seemed much happier to be there. (In fact, as I left, I thanked her and wished her a good day). The dining room is spacious with plenty of tables and chairs, although the tables definitely could be wiped down a little more thoroughly ~ mine felt like it had a some kind of film on it. So as a fellow Yelper said, the food was excellent but the service wasn't warm and fuzzy. I guess you can't have it all. I will be back, because after all, it's about the food :)

I've probably been to every Thai restaurant in Orange and hands down, Royal Thai Orchid is the best. We ordered spring rolls, yum woon sen salad, garlic chicken (not sure of the name) and coconut ice cream. The spring rolls with shrimp came with a tasty peanut dipping sauce and everything within the rice paper wrap, including the shrimp, was wonderfully fresh. The Yum Woon Sen Salad was absolutely Yummy (sorry, couldn't resist that). It is a salad made with mung bean noodles. The noodles were great and the salad was dressed in a mouthwatering lime dressing. Royal Thai offers a nice array of lunch specials for $12.95. Their lunch special entrees come with a small green salad, a little fruit, and of course, rice. It's a great price for such a delicious lunch! We ordered garlic chicken (not sure of the name) and was not only impressed with how delicious it was, but found that the veggies were perfectly cooked to a tender crisp. Even their lunch specials are beautifully plated. Their coconut ice cream was the best I've ever had. They make it fresh in-house and although they call it ice cream, doing so does not do it justice. The texture is unlike any ice cream I've had; you just have to taste it for yourself. I challenge you to find a $6 desert of this quality anywhere else in Orange. This restaurant has been around since the 80s but took a downturn around the time of the Covid shut downs. The new owners, Sam and Coco (yup, we had to ask), have re-created a terrific little restaurant for lunch or dinner. Give it a try; you won't be disappointed. Just a note: I typically order my Thai food "medium" but I did order the salad as a two out of 5 chilis and that was perfect for me. So if you're in doubt, err on the side of caution and start out with a little less spice.

The 4 stars is only for the length of time it took to get our food. We came here for dinner before…read morethe Anaheim Ducks game and we had 8 in our party. To start, food was delicious and I can understand that a smaller family business may take longer but it literally took 1hr and 20 min to get all of our food and there was only maybe 2 other couples dining. They did apologize for the wait which is much appreciated but wow that's a long time an we were a little late to the hockey game. If I'm in the area again I'd still try it again. Can't complain about the delicious food :)
