    Nutella mocha latte

Such kind and attentive personnel! Had requested a pastry that wasn't too sweet & the choc croissant was wonderful. After requesting it toasted, it was warmed and I guess the "everything bagel" seasoning was cross contaminated into the croissant but it wasn't a huge deal. I just swept the few seasonings off. The Nutella mocha latte was not too sweet either! A yelp review had me intrigued & it was well worth it. Decaf available :)

I dropped by on my first day in Austin. I've never been to Austin before, but they were located really close to my hotel when I got hungry for breakfast. They had a few people come in to grab quick bites and pick up mobile orders. I ordered for takeaway and ate my food at my hotel. They got my order out quickly, so I didn't wait very long. I got a smoked turkey sandwich, an iced sweet tea and a cherry Danish. Everything was actually quite delicious. The sandwich was filling, the sweet tea was tasty and the cherry Danish was the perfect dessert to top off my little brunch ensemble. Definitely would be back if I was nearby!

Good food and lots of outdoor seating. We had to sit outside because there was a family inside (the indoor seating is tight and a bit crowded) and their toddler was crying and screaming incessantly, to the point that we heard it every time someone would open the door (this went on for almost thirty minutes). The service at the counter where we ordered was average at best; perhaps they were irritated by the aforementioned toddler. The server who brought the food to our table was excellent. I got an oat milk latte and the lox plain bagel, also soft, warm, and delicious.

I believe I've seen the South 1st location be hyped on social media, but this location was more centrally located between where we were leaving from (Rowing Dock) & the next activity (LBJ Library). I wouldn't say this place is "bad", but it also isn't stand out. Just a cute lil bakery/coffee shop. I bet a great spot for those who live/work nearby for a quick weekday lunch bite. The line was busy throughout our visit but never reached out the door. It's tricky because everyone likes to wait for their orders in the area where the indoor bar seating is, even if they don't stay there. We made it work! My cold brew was good, as was the pesto chicken salad sandwich I got. Even though it was white bread, it felt refreshing & healthy & not soggy. I caught my eye on the sprinkledoodle cookie - love sprinkles but doodles less so. We also got lucky with street parking but can see how it's a hassle with the construction project going on. I wonder if the South 1st location has a more extensive brunch menu, and maybe it'd be better?

Very friendly service! Decent bagel breakfast sandwich, but the chicken and egg salad they sell in containers are incredible! Very small inside, with not much seating so it fills up fast and gets a little claustrophobic. Overall worth a try !

    Ham & Cheese Croissant

Swedish Hill was highly recommended to me, so I was so excited to try! I got the ham and cheese croissant. It was okay, but nothing to rave about. I wish there was more cheese. I would go again and try something different, as they had a lot of cool options. The line was long, so be prepared to wait a little bit. The employees were very nice and patient. Swedish Hill is a great place to eat outside. They have lots of seating outside (on the side of the restaurant and behind it a couple feet down). The vibes were immaculate on a beautiful sunny day!

Swedish hill is either an absolute hit or a flop every time I come here. I'm not sure the reasoning -- but either the pastries are fresh and flaky, or stale and crunchy lol. Maybe it just depends on who is working, however, I feel like if I'm spending $6 for a pastry it should be pretty consistent quality. The service is always great and everyone is very kind. The place is quaint & cute, I did wish they had more seating outside or anywhere near by, but it's a cute spot!

It's not bad. We went for lunch on a weekend and there was no wait and table for us outside. I thought our tab was absolutely ridiculous with two lunch and two coffee costing us $80. At that rate, I could just go to a sit down brunch spot. It's very cutesy - I just think the prices are way too high for me to be a regular.

    Ginger lemonade & chai latte

This has been the first Swedish Hill experience and I really wanted to check out this location because it looked super cute!! The place is very dreamy. It has been decorated beautifully. The parking could be tough, but sometimes you might get lucky with their parking or on the street. I've tried the ginger lemonade, the chai latte, and ginger noodles (on the salad display). All of them have been delicious!! I also did order a side of sourdough, but for the price and what you get, I don't think it's worth ordering. Ordering is quick and the the orders come out pretty quickly. It has an overall great vibe to it. Perfect for an afternoon hangout with friend(s). I would def give it a try.

    Chicken Pesto Sandwich

The sandwich was amazing, no doubt about it, but paid nearly 16 dollars for this sandwich. If you are trying to get your moneys worth, this might not be the best place but flavor wise it's amazing. The inside smells really good and the service was exceptional!

    W 6th Location

Swedish Hill has multiple locations around the city for you to experience a nice lunch, work-from-home day, or just a meet-up with friends. They serve typical cafe food, tons of pastries, pasta, sandwiches, and salad so it's a good lunch option. I typically stop in to get one of their packaged meals to go -- the chicken salad with a bag of chips is my favorite thing to get. Staff always does their best to keep the line moving, so when they notice me with food in my hand already they just come check me out. I've only been to the West 6th and S 1st locations, each of these locations doesn't have the best parking. West 6th parking is HORRIBLE and S 1st is a step above. If you live or work nearby you definitely want to walk or maybe hitch a scooter. The West 6th location is very small and only offers a few tables outside. The S 1st location is my favorite. There's plenty of seating inside and a nice-sized patio.

Overly. Hyped. I honestly do not get the hype. I've had way better coffee. Sorry, I tried to love it just as much as yall. The line was crazy long & once it was our turn, the vibes coming from the baristas were off putting. Don't love the rushing feeling you get when in a coffee shop like that. Coffee: subpar. Nothing life changing. Just an overpriced latte.

I love the green soft chairs, the tables, and the chef statue greeting you as you pull in front of the building. He's right there in the window. The bistro honestly takes your breath away. I love it! So in the last two weeks, I've been back exactly four times. My first introduction was the Croissant Scramble with chicken and veggies inside, with the Arnold Palmer. My friend got the Croissant Scramble with brisket. The presentation of the croissants when brought to the table blew me away. It was wrapped up in the cutest paper with the ends twisted. The topic of conversation was how good the croissants were. Before we left, we ordered some delicious cookies. The chocolate chips were yummy. So I went the following day and grabbed some pastries! One in particular was the Pecan Bar. The following week, another friend and I stopped in for the Chicken Pesto Omelet. I like that the fire-roasted bell peppers and onions are cooked, if that's the right word. But l have to tell you, the Mexican Hot Chocolate drink brings on the flavor, as does the ice-cold Mocha. Of course, we got the Pecan Bar for dessert. So yes, I went back yesterday for the Almond Croissant. I know, I know!

When I arrived, I was told the cake wasn't ready and was asked if I could come back the next morning--which obviously didn't work given the timing of the event. As a substitute, they offered me a pre-made cake from their display case and assured me it was chocolate like I originally ordered, just with a chocolate mousse filling. They refunded me $15 to account for the difference, and I felt pressured to accept since I needed something for the dinner that night. Unfortunately, the situation got worse from there. When we cut into the cake, it turned out to be confetti--not chocolate. Then, when we tried to eat it, it was clearly stale, dry, and inedible. No one touched it after the first bites. It completely missed the mark for what was supposed to be a special moment. What's especially frustrating is that I ordered from them last year for the same occasion, and everything went perfectly--that's why I trusted them again. This time, however, it was a complete letdown from start to finish. When I called the next day to request a refund, I asked to speak with a manager but was told that wasn't possible. Instead, I was told I would only be offered a partial refund because I accepted the replacement cake. I understand that mistakes happen, but the lack of accountability and quality here was really disappointing--especially for something as important as a birthday celebration.
