Came here on a Saturday around 9:30 and it was already busy! We were seated right away as a party of two with a high chair, but the restaurant filled up quickly after we arrived. The service was great from start to finish. Everyone was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The food did take a little while to come out though. We ordered the chicken wings, chicken croffle, and blueberry moffle. The chicken croffle was easily the star of the meal! The croffle was crispy, buttery, and full of flavor, while the chicken was nice and juicy. The chicken wings were also delicious, and we really liked the rice cakes that came with them. The blueberry moffle was our least favorite, but it was still good. I just wish it came with a side. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be back to try more of the menu!
One of my favorite spots for brunch in the Bay! I stopped by with some friends to catch up over brunch. Service was quick and friendly and the restaurant's atmosphere is bright and comfy. It's definitely on the pricier side but when I've been the food has been consistently tasty and fresh. What we tried: - Millionare's bacon sampler patter - comes with the original, citron, cinnamon, and rosemary flavors. This was my first time actually trying their millionare's bacon, which is a thick cut bacon coated in a sweet and mildly spicy glaze. Definitely a fun dish to share and sample - Tornado galbi omurice - soft scrambled egg over veggie fried rice, galbi, and demi-glace. Overall a solid dish, the egg is cooked to such a soft and silky texture and the galbi was so good - wish they were a bit more generous with the galbi portion size - Big hip - deep fried French toast topped with butter and fruits. My first time trying this dish as well and I really enjoyed the texture of the French toast - hearty but not overly heavy. Visited on a Saturday morning and the place was packed! Waited a short while in line at 11 am, but didn't see an empty table anywhere through the time we dined Great service from the staff and nice ambiance - there's a surprising amount of tables inside. Food was decent, but looked a lot more delicious than it tasted. Corn and French toast were good, but the other fusion foods were just ok especially for the price. Portions were great though!
New obsession! Croffle and fried chicken. The idea of waffle and chicken , but croffle ... crossant, waffle and fried chicken is to die for. When we first put our name, we were the 50th.... it took about 45 min to go from 50th to be seated. Not bad, we walked around the block, checked out stores and walah!
We didn't need a reservation here. Walked right in for brunch and were seated as a party of two. Staff were nice and attentive. The place is clean and spacious. They seem busy but we had zero complaints with service. Food came out quickly and it was so fresh. Our entire experience was about 1h (knowing this as we received a message from the street parking meter) and we did not feel rushed once. They were just on top of things. Freshly squeezed orange juice, can't go wrong. I had an order of scrambled eggs and potatoes with a side of fried chicken. The eggs were nice and fluffy. At first glance, we thought our toast would be a piece of brick but it was surprisingly warm, soft, and delicious. Wish we had more. The wings were pretty tasty as well. I ended up packing the rest of the wings to go as a snack for our mini road trip. Overall good brunch spot.
We came here for my birthday brunch on a late Saturday morning and we wait about 20-25 mins, which isn't too bad since I heard people waited 1-2 hrs before. I got the Loco Moco and while it was pretty good, the flavors didn't stand out to me too much. I don't know what the interiors look like since we sat outside, but they had several outdoor seatings. They also charge a 20% service fee for large party, and they didn't inform us in any way (like verbally, putting up a sign, or stating it in the menu) until after we paid and it was too late. We should had looked at the receipt more carefully, but I felt like they should have made it clearer
Quaint little nook with Asian inspired breakfast. A lot of tasty options here and the bacon is a must! Gives a different take on bacon. Loved their Ube Lattes, Benedicts, and Skilets. Potatoes were crispy and cooked to perfection. It is a little pricey. Although the food was good, I thought it was overpriced for what we got. The service was also a little slow. It was crowded when we went, so possibly just backed up. But I had to personally ask for refills on my water and wanted to order another coffee, but they hadn't come back to our table for 20 min after our food was out. Again, I do say they get busy. Also we were near the door during a windy day. We asked if we could close it because it was cold and they denied our request.

This place is super cute, with (crowded) indoor seating and nice patio seats too. Expect a wait if you come later in the morning, but at 9am we found a table for 2 quickly. I tried their English Breakfast tea, which was a Tea Forte bag (mesh bag with a little leaf) and had great flavor. They serve the hot tea with a pot of water for multiple servings. I had the Sweet Maple Scramble, mostly because I wanted to try the famous Millionaire's bacon. It was absolutely worth it: THICK chunks of bacon. Order anything that comes with the bacon. The lemon hollandaise on the scramble was flavorful but not too heavy, and the eggs come with ciabatta and roasted vegetables. This place is a bit pricey for me to come alone, but if you're coming on a cute date or with family, absolutely recommend.
I went with the two eggs any style for my plate when I came to Sweet Maple for the first time. Luckily I was able to substitute the regular ciabatta bread for their gluten free toast but at an additional charge of $3. I also wanted to substitute the potatoes for fruit and was charged an additional $5 for it. I want to say the bacon here is amazing! My friends and I also got the Millionaire's Bacon Sample and I keep thinking about it. All my friends enjoy their plates. But would I say if I would come again? Maybe, only if friends wanted to come. If feels overpriced with the many substitutions I have to make due to my dietary restrictions. The staff was real friendly regardless, despite the restaurant be busy, they never forgot to check in with us.
Service was great. Wait was incredibly long so make a reservation or get there early enough so the table is available by the time you're hungry. The restaurant was bustling inside and out. It's also in a cute little plaza where I can grab coffee and wait for my turn. The runaround for food was so quick that it took me by surprised but I guess it has to be quick since so many people were waiting to dine. The menu has all kinds of flavors: Japanese, western, Korean, Thai..? Confusing, but Sweet Maple does it pretty well. We got the omurice and the crab Benedict which was absolutely delicious. The roasted vegetable side that came with the eggs Benedict was also super crispy and flavorful. Overall, I enjoyed the meal!
Super cute brunch place! Waitlist usually moves by pretty quick. Everything is very aesthetic, from the interior to the table decor to the food. I personally love the mochi waffle here and the fruit always tastes refreshing! Service is also fast and nice but for some reason, drinks took a really long time. It came towards the end of our meal and this was after we reminded. Note for birthday cakes: they charge a $2.50 fee per person to eat it there so please keep this in mind. I understand the point of the fee but it seems kind of pointless for how small it is.
Not sure the popularity of this place! I ordered a chai latte and had to remind the waiter a couple of times before it arrived. The avocado croissant was about $14 and very small for the price--roughly 3" x 4. The matcha muffin was awful. It seemed undercooked and had a bitter aftertaste. It was so underbaked that the caramel-like filling stuck to my teeth. Considering the prices, the food quality and portions did not meet my expectations.
One of my favorite brunch spots in South Bay, classic comfort food with a creative twist. The Hemingway Benedict is my go-to and for good reason: the salmon and lemon play perfectly off the hollandaise, balancing the savory with a nice acidity. The matcha moffle is a must-try too, that chewy QQ texture makes it stand out from your standard waffle. And if you're in a burger mood at brunch, you really can't go wrong with any option on the menu. Only complaint is that the portions seem to have gotten noticeably smaller over time, which stings a little at this price point. Also worth noting that weekend waits can get long, so plan accordingly or go early. Still a spot I keep coming back to. Just come hungry and patient.

Sunday noon was fairly busy. The restaurant looked nice but was quite noisy. Food presentation was good and the taste was excellent. However, cleanliness needs improvement. I waited about 5 minutes for water, and the first glass had debris in it. Service was disappointing, we ordered 5 drinks (including 2 hot coffees) and had to follow up multiple times. The coffee still hadn't arrived even after the food was served. There were 4 of us, but only 3 dishes came out. Meanwhile, a table that arrived later received the same dish before us. I went to Sweet Maple in SF years ago and have been a fan of Millionaire's bacon since. The food from this restaurant group is always creative and photogenic. The space is airy and we were able to get a table for 3 relatively easily on a Friday morning around 11am. Service was friendly but I get the feeling they are short staffed because sometimes it would take a while before they would get back to us. Love this spot! The food was amazing. From the get go we had great service and the food was served promptly. The flavor profiles were on point with traditional breakfasts with an Asian twist. All of the dishes we had were perfectly plated. We started off with the Butter Fried Corn as a small plate and it was delicious. Small portions of buttered fresh cut corn (partially still on the cob) with some fried and battered rice cakes. I had the Hass Omelette which was topped with layers of avocado and a side of pico de gallo. Hopefully they could look at trying some mango salsa as an alternative, but regardless it was very good. I was surprised at how well I liked the Brussel potato medley, as I'm not usually a brussel sprout guy. I think I was traumatized as a kid with those! But these are perfectly sliced thinly and mixed in with the potatoes. A nice balance of flavor, but not too much. My daughter had the Matcha Moffle which was a matcha mochi flavored waffle with some matcha lava spread. I tried a taste and it was perfectly cooked. Light and airy with a a perfect balance of matcha flavor. I would definitely recommend giving this spot a try cause you won't be disappointed. read more

One of my close friends took me out here for brunch to celebrate finishing grad school. The ambiance provides a great spot for celebrating a special occasion or even catching up with an old friend. The breakfast dish I got was sort of like deep fried French toast. I am glad I added the bananas and walnuts because it brought different textures and dishes, my friend she got a egg skillet dish and she was very pleased by her meal. 2/14/2024 Came here for lunch w my mom for vday. This sweat maple is a lot bigger than the one in Cupertino. It was a very busy day for a special holiday. The wait was only about 25 minutes. The inside was nice and friendly. We ordered the sizzling stone pot w galbi (beef) ($26). It's like a bibimbap. I asked for extra sauce which was sweat and spicy. The beef was marinated which paired w the dish well. The matcha moffle ($16) was also delicious. Its got this chewy texture which was great with the matcha cream on the side. Sweet Maple is like brunch on steroids. Everything was delicious and novel for me (the fried chicken, moffle, croffle) with Korean influence. I think it is a place that's fun to visit every few months so that my taste buds don't get spoiled / overwhelmed. It was busy & crowded on a Sunday (about 45 min wait, but as expected). Service was good but I sensed that they didn't have the staffing to bring out all dishes for 4 together - it was brought to us on multiple trips and it appeared a bit strange when a side of chicken showed up without the main dish. The outdoor dining area (sidewalk patio) could get hot under the sun - so pick indoors if you'd like to stay cool. The sparking wine used in our spritz was flat. Came here on a weekday, a little before noon, and was able to get a table for 3 without any wait. Service was great and we had no issues. Ordered the loco moco, chicken croffle, and bacon. All of the food was good, though I thought the dishes could have been balanced or executed better. For example, the loco moco was heavy and could have benefited from a side salad. I could see the chicken and croffles going with a creamy sauce, fun butter, and/or more fruits. The candied bacon was really good, but it came in a glass cup and the bacon is not stiff, so it slumped to the bottom of the glass. Kind of a weird sad presentation. If you've got your eye on this place for brunch, go sooner rather than later. You'll thank me!! This place exceeded our expectations and I'm already looking forward to going back. Food was incredible. The millionares bacon is in fact a must- get. We tried the normal seasoning and it was kind of a sweet with a hint of spice and it was just, well perfect. The blueberry mochi waffle "Moffle" had a good spin on a traditional waffle - more flavor, chewier, and a delicious sweet cream on top. We also tried the Tornado Galbi Omurice. This dish is where I really noticed the Asian fusion. It's like an omlet, over a bed of fried rice, some Korean beef on the side with a Korean sauce. Very good and fun to try. Out of the three, that was my least favorite. But I still would highly recommend it. I was also impressed with the kids plate - large portions, cute presentation, balanced meal. Ambiance had a perfect brunch feel. We got there at 830 on a Saturday and didn't have a wait, but it looked like it was almost full. Get there early to avoid a wait! There are a few locations, but this was my first time here with a few friends. We went on a Saturday midday (11:30/12) and waited maybe 30 minutes to be seated after putting our name down. Friends were able to find street parking but it can be hit or miss or may take a bit to find depending on how busy it is. I had ordered the chicken croffle, millionaire's bacon sampler, the aperol spritz and espresso shakerato. The chicken croffle is popular for a reason! Crispy chicken and well cooked and the croffles were delicious with the maple syrup. Portions were definitely large so it was nice for a brunch where we were all hungry. Sampler platter was great to share and it was nice to try all of the different options - the citron was mg favorite of the 3 outside of the original. The aperol spritz had more of an orange/citrus base so it was super refreshing with the chicken. Overall solid! The espresso shakerato was one of the better espresso martini-esque drinks I've had! Loved how creamy it was, slightly on the sweeter side but not overwhelming and didn't taste watered down like most places. It was my personal favorite drink :) It does get busy so I recommend putting your name down and going somewhere nearby to check out some of the cute holiday spots - great for groups or families. The new matcha spot is also a couple blocks away in case you need to wait for some time! The best part of the whole service was being able to split all the items by what we got rather than having to figure it out for ourselves. Super attentive and helpful staff and food came out pretty quickly even if it was busy. read more

My friend and I dined at Sweet Maple on a Saturday around 11:30 a.m. By that time, there was already a line. We were a party of two, and our table was ready when we arrived. If you have a larger party, you might have to wait a bit longer. They do accept reservations. Parking: There is a lot on the right side of the store, or directly across the street, there is a garage (the first three hours are free). I was able to find street parking without any issues. Sweet Maple offers a good variety of food options--not overwhelming, but just the right amount. We ordered the Oscar Benedict and the Chicken Croffle. Sharing these two dishes was more than enough for the two of us. The Oscar Benedict was delicious, though I wished the brussels sprouts had been left whole instead of separated into leaves. The Chicken Croffle was juicy and not dry, and it was easy to cut through. Overall, the presentation of the food was beautiful. The restaurant has clearly put effort into decorating the interior--it's charming and well-designed! It's an ideal spot for a lunch date with friends, family, or a plus one. read more

Sweet maple has great ambiance and is located in downtown Palo Alto. They have indoor and outdoor seating as well as heaters outside. Our group was seated outside so we were thankful for the heaters. Service was friendly, although a bit slow, which was only noticed because of a time crunch. The menu is extensive and I was excited to try the souflegg. I've never had anything like it! Sweet Maple! Popular Asian fusion brunch spot in Palo Alto. This was a very delicious spot. They have multiple locations around the bay in SF, Cupertino, and Palo Alto. Order: - Tornado Galbi Omurice: taste like home cooking rice with an egg on top. - Millionaire's Candy: slightly thin, chewy, and hard bacon coated in sugar. It was a good mix between salty and sweet. It also had a slight spice to it. - Blueberry Moffle (mochi waffle): SO TASTY. I usually don't like sweets but this was not too sweet. It was slightly hard and crunchy on the outside but chewy and had the texture of mochi on the inside. This also had a subtle hint of blueberry that tasted super fresh. 10/10 I loved this. It's very photogenic, though I wish there were a bit more space between tables~ My go-to order is the chicken croffle & millionaire's bacon -- sweet, savory, and full of flavor. Extremely busy for weekend brunch; we waited about 45 minutes for our table. Food was delicious! In particular the chicken croffle satisfied all of my cravings. Not a big fan of waffles usually but the croissant dough was a game changer. Lovely crispy chicken which wasn't dry either. Millionaires bacon is always a crowd pleaser and certainly didn't disappoint. Omurice and galbi were decent as well. The wait was worth it. We came around breakfast time and, unsurprisingly, it was busy. We joined the virtual waitlist and ended up waiting about 30 minutes. Once we checked in at the front, we were seated quickly. The menu had a solid variety, and I went with a basic plate but added the famous Millionaire's Bacon--absolutely worth the extra charge. If you're a bacon fan, don't skip it. The potatoes were another standout--crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. My partner ordered the blueberry mochi waffle, which was unique and really tasty. 4 stars. Sweet maple serves trendy Asian fusion, and they are all mostly pretty tasty. Of all the dishes I've tried, the best were the loco moco and chicken and waffles. I think the short rib omurice wasn't worth the cost, the meat was under seasoned and the fried rice was a little boring. The matcha waffle was good the first few bites, but it is on the sweeter side so the flavor can get overwhelming pretty fast. The Korean fried chicken was fried well and the sauce was tasty, but I don't think it's worth the cost (you get 5 wings for like $15). There is a nice selection of tasty looking drinks, so I would definitely recommend trying that. This place can get really busy starting around 10, so be prepared to wait. The service is usually pretty good and there are lots of tables, so turn around rate is decent. Overall, I think Sweet Maple is solid spot for Asian fusion, but just a little too pricey for my liking. read more

Finally, I got to try Sweet Maple for brunch! The line was always too long, but we found ourselves in Palo Alto on a weekday morning and were seated right away on the outdoor patio on a sunny day! The patio ambiance was nice for quiet people watching. The interior was pretty but a bit noisy for me. As a vegetarian, options include the spinach scramble, gardena soufflegg skillet, florentine Benedict, butter fried corn, balsamic grilled eggplant, sizzling stonepot, pancakes, french toast, mochi waffles, grilled cheese, impossible burgers, green papaya salad. I wanted to try something different so went with the gardena soufflegg skillet-- wow! I was presented with a beautiful fluffy souffled egg in a small cast iron dressed with mushrooms, spinach, cherry tomatoes, and bell peppers accompanied with crispy, brussels sprouts, potato medley, and a crunchy Levain toast-- perfection and a treat! I went at 11am on a Saturday and the wait was 1.5 hours long. If you show up later the wait could be 2+ hours. The best time to go is before 9am so you don't have to wait that long
