The food, drink, service, and ambiance at Sweet Maple in Walnut Creek were excellent. This is a great breakfast and brunch restaurant with five locations in the San Francisco Bay Area. It's popular and deservedly so. We visited the Walnut Creek location for a Saturday brunch at 10:15 AM. When we arrived, it was already packed with people waiting outside. You can book a reservation for this location with Yelp. The staff is fairly strict about an entire party being present before they can be seated. Our family brought a party of eight. Here's what I got to try on my side of the table: DRINKS Barista's Favorites * Oat Uji Organic Matcha ($9) - 1st harvest matcha grade, oat milk Mimosas & Spicy Friends * Millionaire's Mary ($16) - vodka, spicy housemade Bloody Mary mix, tajin rim, Millionaire's Bacon FOOD Small Bites * Earl Grey Blueberry Croffle ($16) - croissant waffle, burrata, blueberry marinated in Earl Grey and basil EVOO, housemade blueberry marmalade * Korean Fried Chicken ($16) - boneless crispy fried chicken chunks, hot and sweet gochujang sauce served on the side Millionaire's Bacon * Millionaire's Bacon ($15) - original; thick, free-range bacon, baked with brown sugar, cayenne, red and black pepper Benedict & Friends * Blackstone ($26) - poached eggs on ciabatta, served with potato medley; Millionaire's Bacon, asparagus, cherry tomato, Meyer lemon hollandaise, chive Kitchen Specials * Tornado Galbi Omurice ($26) - twisted scrambled egg over fried rice and vegetables, braised short rib, demi-glace scallion, pickled onion, chive, cherry pepper Maple Plates * Marnier French Toast ($18) - extra fluffy thick milk bread, bruleed on top, Grand Marnier cream batter; served with Maldon salt, pure maple syrup * Coconut Moffle with Brie ($21) - coconut mochi waffle, brie, housemade raspberry marmalade, raspberry, truffle honey dressing Everything was outstanding and high-quality all around. The ingredients were fresh and everything was plated and/or presented beautifully. This place is a well-oiled machine. If you've never had Sweet Maple's award-winning Millionaire's Bacon before, it's a must-try. And if you like Bloody Marys like me, their Millionaire's Mary is worth getting too. Just note it is legit spicy (and thick). Among the items listed above, my favorites were the Earl Grey Blueberry Croffle, the Korean Fried Chicken (they do it well), and the Coconut Moffle with Brie. However, your mileage may vary, so don't let that stop you from trying the other dishes (because I also loved the Blackstone Eggs Benedict and the Omurice). They just know how to make good food. Service was fantastic. Everyone was friendly and attentive, including the hostess, manager, and servers. I'd describe the atmosphere as "California contemporary." The restaurant space is nice with both indoor and outdoor seating. As far as parking, we did metered parking on the street in front of nearby Caffe La Scala (N Main St).

This one is located in Walnut Creek. There is metered street parking outside of the restaurant however, there is also a parking garage nearby which is walking distance to here. So, it was my first time having brunch here. We came 30 mins after they opened and they're already getting busy. But we didn't have to wait. We were seated right away. The food was amazing! I really loved the Tornado Galbi Omurice. But actually I loved everything we ordered. Me and my friends ordered a few things and shared everything. We also ordered the Marnier French Toast, which had a sort of brûlée topping it was crispy and sweet, I loved it. And we had the Crispy Brussels Sprouts and Millionaire's Candy (bacon). OMG that bacon had the right amount or sweetness. Salty and crispness. It went very well with everything we ordered. For drinks I had the Ube Latte and the other girls had Coconut Chai latte. I'm glad I ordered a latte versus a regular coffee. Now, the ambiance; it looks very classy but not intimidating. I love the light fixtures. No complaints on customer service. Our server was really nice and move quickly. I can't wait to come back to try other things on the menu.

If bacon had a hall of fame, Sweet Maple would definitely be in it. I can see why this place is so popular. The bacon was hands down the star of the meal. crispy, flavorful, and honestly some of the best I've had. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the service was great from start to finish. I also loved the atmosphere. The restaurant feels bright, open, and airy, making it a really enjoyable place to sit and enjoy a meal. It has a welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay a little longer. Great food, great service, and amazing bacon. I'll definitely be back.

We came for Mother's day and the service did not disappoint. Smiling faces, attentive, and the food was good. We both had the chicken and waffles and mimosas. Thanks for a great experience.

3.5/5 Feels a bit overrated with the long wait times and high prices. Service was decent, but it definitely felt like they were trying to turn the table and rush us out the door as fast as possible. Ube latte - lots of ube flavor and didn't feel too sweet or fake. I don't think there's coffee in this though, and it was $10 with oat milk!? 3/5 Millionaires bacon - basically pork belly with how thick the slices are! Rich and candied tasting. The flight was fun to try, my favorite was the original or rosemary. 4.5/5 Florentine Benedict - I liked this but it was pretty basic. 4/5 Lucy burger - fries didn't seem seasoned enough and the burger was okay. I'm an in-n-out girl and all burgers are the same to me tbh but my partner (who has a more refined burger palate) did not like this one. 2/5

Excellent egg dishes for breakfast. my friend had a coconut iced drink that he said was excellent. Only getting four stars because of the price, not the food.

I finally got to gooo!! This place always has a wait and i totally see why! The food options are amazing , the aesthetic is very warm and open. I luckily went with a big group so that means--- more dishes i get to try ! I don't think anyone has any commentary about the meals except that it was really good! **HIGHLIGHTS** Millionaires bacon flight , crab Benedict , Korean fried chicken and of course. Mimosas. Check out my food page @shecameand.ate for a my review!

The restaurant is beautiful. Outside makes you feel like you're on a vacation.... And inside makes you feel like you've just arrived at your destination of a hotel lobby on vacation. Lol It's bright and inviting and open with tall ceilings. Almost feels very communal as well. The service is amazing, greeted with smiles and welcomes. So far, everyone has been amazing and I've been three times almost in a row with different people every time. Funny I visited a sweet maple at a different location. Didn't like it and was skeptical on going to this one so I put it off for a few years until recently and I'm so happy I showed up. I really think they have one of the best cappuccino's. The best kimchi. And the best brussels sprouts I've ever had. But of course call me bias that's my personal opinion. My family now looks forward to trying it again for lunchtime. I've had the Ramen, the stone pot, brussels sprouts.... Drinks chicken, and Croffle and a few others. The blueberry early grey coffee come so why cheese which was unexpected and the croffle almost feel uncooked fully in the center... quite chewy probably won't get that again but the rest has been enjoyable. I'll be back. :).

Food was ok, one of my poached eggs on my Blackstone Benedict was not runny, although the other flavors were sufficient. I'll give them props on the brussel sprouts, as they were crispy and flavorful. My daughter ordered the chicken croffle and found the texture to be odd and didn't finish the chicken which was very surprising. Service was good we were greeted we seated immediately and was checked on for filling the waters. Ambience was chill as everybody was engaged in conversations with those who they were breaking bread with. Probably won't go back, twas a little pricey, and because we'll just continue to try other new places and some of our favorite spots! Giving this place three yummms up and a better luck next time !

Came here to meet up with out of town friends staying in wine country. The moment you walk in, I feel like I'm in a chic West Hollywood brunch spot. Who knew this was in Walnut Creek? I was sat in the back, quiet, great place to talk. I browsed the menu and already had an idea what I wanted until I saw Millionaire Bacon and deep fried blueberry French toast . Ummmm yes please. Yes, order the bacon. It's delicious full of flavor and not overly greasy. It's more on the chewy vs crispy crunchy side. Still worth it and it doesn't cost a million bucks The cocktail looking caffeinated coffee drink was delicious. This is what happens when I wait too long to write the review; I forget the names. ‍. it reminded me of a shakerato or an Einspiner from 10K coffee. It was a cigar looking thing to it. Loved it! The French toast was nicely fried. Not too sweet. Just enough flavors. Need to come back with the family to eat other mochi pancakes and Bennie's too. The staff were Thai so obv great hospitality

Came here for breakfast the spot on the outside is unassuming and unless you were looking for it yours walk right past not knowing it was there. But inside is modern and has a really chill vibe. They have a patio also. The servers are really engaging and it appeared that it didn't matter who took your order everyone would check in on you. The food was really good but this place can get pricey so that's why I gave it 4. But this is California so I guess! I went with the crab sandwich is was really good like most people I wish it had more crab in there but taste wise A1! My daughter (picky eater) went with the waffle. She claimed it wasn't good but I tasted it and it was good had the croissant taste with a little cinnamon! I would definitely get it. I saw the chicken and waffle it looked really good! My wife went with an egg breakfast. It came with potatoes and it was a potato medley that good also. With an added on millionaire bacon. That was tasty but it was also pricey! Overall it is a spot I would visit again!

An elegant brunch spot with surprisingly comfortable seating and beautiful decor. I had the short rib pot here and it was well balanced with veggies and meat, and a sweet sauce that paired nicely.

Delicious food. Had a vegetarian Soufflegg Skillet. Gardena Skillet -Sauteed mushrooms, spinach, bell peppers with cherry tomatoes. It was incredible and so fluffy. Great flavor and the espresso martini was the best I've ever had. My husband loved the famous millionaire beacon. Wait gets long on weekends. Staff was friendly and attentive

No one was at the main register to take orders. The couple in front took forever to order so we stood next in line for a little under 10 min.. we noticed there were several people outside of the small shop waiting for their orders. As we were in line to offer, several people came inside and asked the employees at the counter about their order status. We waited 30 min for 2 iced drinks!! Someone ahead of us was still waiting on her ONE iced coffee. I ordered an iced tiramisu latte and my brother ordered a matcha. My drink tasted like watered down milk. My brother's drink didn't taste like proper matcha. It's a shame because the place and location is nice. But staff doesn't greet you or seem friendly or even approachable. And the drinks are not good. I didn't bother for any food/pastries.

Before we got deep into our drive, we wanted to stop for some coffee, and this spot happened to be open and on our way. We're not super familiar with coffee in the Bay Area, and for most of our trip we hadn't chosen great shops to visit. Panama Bay, however, really surprised us. A lot about this spot felt unassuming to us. It's a small cottage on the corner that stands out from the taller, more modern apartment buildings around it. There's not much space indoors. All of their seating is outdoors, located next to their outdoor pickup window. It's a little more offbeat than your average coffee spot, but it's really charming. The great service was one of the first things I noticed. Our two baristas were very friendly, chatting with us about our trip, and giving menu recommendations. All of this was greatly appreciated, especially since their menu has many options. They had an extensive list of syrup flavors, lattes, pour over coffee, and breakfast sandwiches. I grabbed a banana latte, and breakfast sandwich. The coffee was flavorful, and the sandwich has the best chipotle mayo. My partner tried the Mayan pour over, and he really loved his drink. Everything that we ordered was fantastic, and the friendly baristas really made our visit. This was easily the best coffee spot we visited during our trip I definitely recommend dropping by this spot if you're nearby, and I'll definitely be back in the future if I'm ever back up north.

The presentation was so rough that we genuinely laughed because we couldn't believe it was being served that way. Good coffee and food can be forgiven for an occasional mistake, but poor customer service is much harder to overlook. Prologue Coffee & Tea is a small café operating inside the Walnut Creek Library in downtown (Walnut…read moreCreek has two libraries). Although the location is not prominent, pictures of their beautifully crafted drinks and delicious bánh mì sandwiches have been spreading across different social media platforms. So much so that they have been featured in reporting by several local media outlets. Out of curiosity, I decided to check this spot out with my brother and a couple friends on 08/29/2025. It wasn't busy when we walked in at around noon. A quick glance revealed a space that's tiny but well organized. We were greeted by Thuy, the friendly proprietor of the establishment. Since this was our first visit, it took us a while to figure out what we wanted. In the end, we each got a bánh mì sandwich and a beverage. Pricing was reasonable IMHO (see menu pic). I had the cold cut bánh mì and an iced coffee. I gave half of my sandwich to my brother, and he gave me half of his grilled chicken bánh mì in return. Both sandwiches were delicious! The baguette was excellent. It was crispy on the outside and soft and spongy on the inside. Thuy told me later on that she gets them from Duc Huong Sandwiches, a famed Vietnamese sandwich chain in San Jose. The homemade pâté, cold cuts, and grilled chicken were all delicious, and the produce was very fresh. The iced coffee was very good as well. We chatted with Thuy extensively before and after our meal. She told us she was a banker prior to opening this café. From our conversation, I could tell she takes pride in her work. We were all very impressed by her demeanor and business acumen. Should you find yourself in downtown Walnut Creek, do yourself a favor and give this place a try. You will not be disappointed. 5 stars. BONUS MATERIAL: - You can either park at the library lot, Civic Park, or the Broadway city garage a block away. - Contactless payment. - They have limited indoor and outdoor seating.

No line on a Saturday morning but I could hear the door dash/takeaway going crazy! I ordered a matcha latte with Ube foam and it was good! A perfect sweetness and neither flavor was overpowering. I'd come back again to try a different matcha. My friend ordered the croffle and said it was crispy and delicious. Staff was very sweet and patient.
