I really love the decor here. I also love the variety offered. I would also like to give more stars but I just can't bring myself to do it. Here's why... When you walk in there is no place to tell you where to go to place your order. I stood there just waiting around while 1 guy was making a salad and one of the girl's was just talking to him. She then proceeded to ask how I was doing but didn't ask if I was all set or needed help. Finally after another minute of awkwardness I asked if this was where to start ordering. She then apologized and asked what I'd like. I ordered the Misoba salad. She added things to it and it was pushed to the other end of the assembly line. I walked in the same direction. Paid for my order and the "dressing-toss" guy asked what type of dressing I wanted, with the wrong salad in hand. I told him that wasn't my salad. He didn't apologize. I pointed to the correct one. He squished dressing on it then tossed it and put it in the plastic container and asked if I'd like bread with that. Salad is now done. The salad tasted food. The soba noodles were chilled and clumpy. It wasn't a lot which was fine but I didn't like that it was stuck together and not mixed in well. It was pricy as well and nothing special about it. Lines at this location can be insane, so I would suggest downloading the Sweet Greens App and placing your order online. (Much faster because there's a separate back kitchen area where different staff are preparing online orders --- just like chipotle) 2. You can choose 3 different levels of dressing: light, medium, heavy... Let's just say medium level will make your spinach gooey. I would advise just asking for light and getting a little sauce on the side so you can monitor to your liking. 3. They have Seasonal bowls. I think their seasonal bowls are the best tasting but are more expensive (usually) 4. They use plastic takeout bowls = genius! Can always save your salad for later! Yay! Another reason to get your dressing on the side :) In terms of salad choices: 1. RAD THAI (5/5) my ultimate favorite. I always get this because It's not too sweet, not too sour-y tasting, the shrimp is always so yummy and scrumptious. Cannot go wrong with this salad 2. AVOCADO GREENS (2/5) yuck. A salad that's delicious, filling, low cal, inexpensive, customizable, and served fast?!?! Mind=Blown. This place is a machine. It gets 5 stars for price for food and service. Heck, it should get an extra 1/2 a star for how well it's able to do with such high foot traffic. There's often a long line when I get here but it moves rather quickly for how personalized the food gets. The servers always seem to be pretty enthused or at minimum neutral to even-keeled working here. With the high volume, its impressive and (hopefully) reflects good worker morale. That's why the server comments come first: big props. Tip: Get here before 6:30pm or you'll be in for an even longer line. The combo's of food here are fabulous with suggested salad compositions but you can always make your own (a serious plus). I love the Rad Thai, Kale Caesar, and Guacamole Greens -- they're can't miss. Having some seasonal options/change to the menu is always nice, too. The ingredients are fresh, fragrant, and listed as organic/local with other details on the chalkboard. I don't believe I've ever seen produce that I avoid or subbed-out because it looked wilted/bad. Obviously one of the great parts about exclusive produce usage is the high turnover for maintaining freshness. They're totally okay with substitutions here and the vegetarians/vegans can get tofu instead of chicken in their dishes. Portions are hearty. I'm quite the eater and not a small dude. I was worried about needing more food but went with the flow and ordered the Kale Caesar on my first trip here and could barely finish the thing. The amount of fiber and fair amount of protein satiated me nearly immediately. There's been a few dishes that I couldn't even finish that were fiber bombs to my stomach. That was satisfying. Even more satisfying is the low calories in nearly all the dishes -- between 350-700 calories for the vast majority of options and considering medium dressing (you can get light/medium/heavy as options). The sustainability and "green" aspect of this greenery is nice, too. While some balk at paying $8-10 for a salad, when you consider how filling, fresh, healthy, and satiating the meal is combined with having a 100% compostable service ware and utensils -- more than reasonable. Place is DELISHCIOUUSSSS! Most of their recommended salads are relatively not that low in calories at around 400-600 per salad but it's so yummy!!! I got the Rad Thai salad and it was really fulfilling. I wasn't a huge fan of the shrimp, but everything else was perfectly balanced from the spicy cashew dressing to the taste of basil and spicy sunflower seeds. Sweet Green in Boston's Back Bay is a great example of foodie inspiration. Sweet Green has a huge assortment of every veggie, fruit, nut, meat, and dressings you could imagine in a salad. They offer a new salad every month in addition to their local, seasonal menus. To give you an idea of their tasty concoctions, December 2013's salad consists of warm grains and organic arugula with roasted curry cauliflower, roasted chicken, dried cranberries and organic cilantro; topped with cucumber basil yogurt dressing and spicy Sriracha sauce. YUM! There are enough ingredients available that there is a salad for everyone here. I opted for their custom salad option, choosing my personal favorites: kale, warm quinoa, sliced almonds, cucumber, corn, red grapes, roasted tofu, balsamic vinegar. The result was absolutely devine. The sweet red grapes and corn brought great flavor to the healthy warm quinoa and kale. Only complaint is that it's always pretty cold in there. I try to give them the benefit of the doubt though, because they get CROWDED at lunch time, especially on weekdays. Everything about this place is amazing. Food? Delicious and fresh. Price? Excellent. Service: so incredibly friendly. Ethics: Spot on. Everything is compostable and responsibly sourced. All the things I care about. But most importantly, good people, good business. I waited in line for a half hour, watching this well-oiled machine. I finally got to the counter, ordered, and just as they we mixing my bowl, I realized didn't have my wallet. I panicked. I asked if they had Apple Pay. They didn't . So I stepped out of the way and placed my order online and paid there, since I had my payment info memorized, and made sure they didn't make the new order I placed. This took my some time, and when I was almost done, they gave me my food and said not to worry about it! I still continued to place the order and pay, but how kind and understanding was that?! This place was shut down a while back for health code violations. They reopened at the end of 2016, but it looks like there's still some issues going on... I ordered food from this location to have a delivery service pick up for me. They arrived around 12:20 PM and did not leave the store until 1:45 PM. That is an INSANE amount of time to make salad that was ordered at 11:20 AM. That means this location took over TWO HOURS to make my salad. That's pathetic... Not to mention, if you have any issue... good luck contacting customer service. You get a series of touch tone options that send you literally no where and then they tell you that you can text someone at customer service... ?? Wtf. I scoured the internet to try to find a way to contact the store and there is no way to. The customer service person I texted told me SHE couldn't even contact the store! Again.. WTF! This place is a mess and I'm legit embarrassed this location is even in our city. (Btw - I love sweetgreen's food. Excellent new establishment for the Boylston lunch crowd. Completely organic offerings, which are plentiful in numbers, to mix and match and create the salad of your dreams. If you are feeling lazy, they have some combinations that seem popular (several people in line ordered them as I was waiting). Custom, with one extra topping, and the roasted chicken plus a strawberry mint limeade set me back $12.35. Salad was awesome though, and I am full! read more

Their salads are so fresh and well balanced. I am stuck on their winter detox at the moment-avocado and kale, red onions and cucumbers.. ahh! I love how they mix it in the big metal bowls and ask how much dressing you want. It;s nice to see all the local producers they buy from. Delicious salads packed in a bowl. Hello yummy salad. Come to momma. Twice I've been here now, and I love it. It may be on the pricey side, but ALL ingredients are locally sourced and are scrumptious. Plus the concoctions that they come up with...sheesh. Today I ordered the Avocobbo. A Cobb with avocado, yummy greens, corn, boiled egg, bacon and chicken. I don't like blue cheese, so I asked for the lime cilantro jalapeño dressing instead. Wise choice I made there...I also added some Parmesan crisps. Those crispy goodies make me feel like I'm eating homemade cheeseitz in the salad. Ha... Possibilities are endless. Don't like the premade salads? Create your own. Featured salads are also seasonal. Line gets pretty long but it's worth the wait. Great post workout meal. read more

It is one of the best healthiest options I've come across, but I'm surprised as to how much it ends up costing. Service is very fast. Make sure you specify your order to the cashier because I've overpaid a couple of times since I did not add the protein to my salad. read more
