I made a appointment and got there on time and they said I never had a appointment,and I would have to come back another day. I gave them another try several months later and I called and they said no appointment was necessary because they were slow. I came in right then, and when they got there they said they could not take me and it would be a three hour wait. I asked for them manager and they said I could look for him in the garage,and he never showed up! My friend came in today and she came in for a oil and filter change and she had a appointment. She is 73 years old and sat there for three hours with out any one coming to tell her how things were going.She called me and I told her to go up to the counter and ask why. The place was dead maybe because of the virus. Absolutely no reason for this terrible service! I have never had such an awful experience attempting to buy a car! We test drove a car we wanted, had the pre-approval letter for financing (which they still have a copy of), offered what they were asking, and then they couldnt sell it to us yet (claiming maintenance still had to be performed). After staying in touch for days and being told we were first in line, they sold the car to someone else. Unbelievable. They treated us like trash. We have hundreds of text messages and will not be letting go of this, as we really felt we were discriminated against. I'd give zero stars, if it was an option. read more

When Town and Country owned the dealership I never had a problem, when Swickard took over it was like night a day. They never call you back, they never know what's going on, they have had my car for 6 weeks now and when I call to get an update (because god forbid someone call me) they often ask when I'd like to bring the car in... when they have had my car for 6 weeks now! Do they not know they have the car? Who is in charge here? Called today and was on hold for 45 min being transferred to 4 different people and ended up getting transferred back to the same person. They just tell me they're "very busy", maybe they have too much business, I suggest you take your car elsewhere as I will certainly be doing. read more

Was looking into buying a 2021 Honda CR-V ex and they had one in stock was working with another salesperson and a different salesperson sold the car out from under us. She sent over the paperwork with 3k worth of upgrades they just added in. We were working with them to take it off until, I believe his name was mark sold the vehicle out from under us at the higher price to someone else. I contacted the sales manager but he seemed to just not care and asked if we just wanted to pay for a more expensive model... I will not be back for any more vehicles from them and if I was a new customer I wouldn't buy from them either. I would wait and buy elsewhere because who knows the 500$ deposit they make you pay for a vehicle en route might be sold out from under you because someone has more money. This has been an increasingly frustrating adventure working with this dealership, and one I certainly won't undertake again. I traded a 2018 CRV for 2021 CRV on June 2nd. Swickard did not pay off the loan by the time the payment was due on June 27th. I made the payment to preserve my credit. Swickard finally paid American Honda Finance, less the amount we agreed to as I had made a payment, and I still have not been reimbursed. I will say the General Manager, James, has tried to help, however this seems to have fallen by the wayside with him as well. It does not appear there is much regard given to customer service and one would do much better with that at Beaverton Honda. I cannot recommend Swickard as far as integrity or at this point , honesty in their transaction. read more

So tired of the BS that goes on at this car dealership. Bought a new car. Originally looking a black one and husband asked for a different color. So we were sold a car that was missing one of the important upgrades that I wanted because the salesperson didn't pay enough attention to make sure he was really choosing the equivalent car. It's dark by the time we are leaving. Discover that their version of cleaning the stick crap off the front window was to leave stuff smeared all over it. We were blinded by every headlight coming towards us as a result. Got home and discovered they had also left a big greasy handprint on the car. The filthy window issue continues to this day as nothing seems to take the final bit of the sticker film away and under the right conditions it fogs up weird were the sticker was - this includes going back and having them use other cleaners on that windshield. Because of covid I'm a few weeks late getting a free service done and was charged for it instead. Two years into ownership the radio system breaks. It is under warranty. After spending hours at the dealership, they finally agree with me that the radio is broken and order a new part. I'm told it will take 2 weeks at most. It took 6 weeks and my advisor completely ducked out on both answering my inquiring calls or ever calling me back. Pretty sure 90% of that was pure bullshit and poor systems at the dealership. Bought a special 7 year warranty on the car - too bad noone mentioned you still may have to pay money toward a repiar. More bull cookies. Guess what? They installed a new "broken" radio. Back 30 minutes to the dealership and told they once again have to take everything apart to believe me. Order is put in for new part. My initial appt to get them to install it is exactly on day 30 since part arrived. Had to cancel appt because our garage door broke and we couldn't get out of the garage. So I changed appt to the following Monday. I would have talked with someone but literally the phones into the dealership were not even connecting. Today I went back in for them to do the repair work. On my previous visit they had assigned me a new rep to follow my case. I only ever met her briefly when I had checked in because she was in a meeting when my car was done. Actually I only found out my car was done when I discovered a text/email had been sent. No human. When I went to leave with the car, they spent 15 minutes trying to find my car keys. FIFTEEN MINUTES. If they had quickly texted my rep one minute into our conversation, she could have texted back where the keys were. So there I was leaving - no business card of this new rep AND MORE IMPORTANTLY no one every once telling me that the parts department sends back parts if the rep is not contacted within 30 days after telling customer part is there. So when my appt had been scheduled for the week the garage door broke, that part would have been sent back that day simply because I didn't schedule with my rep. Note, it is very hard to get the person they assign you on a phone. So another lady at the dealership scheduled that appointment. So now because there is no proper system for follow-up, my radio would not have been there then and was not there today when I went. I'm pretty sure these people are hired based on how good they are at not falling apart during all the difficult conversations they have to have with unhappy customers. Can't wait to see how this continues THE NEXT TIME THE PART ARRIVES. Would I ever purchase from this dealership again? Never. Would I recommend them for service? Never. Really bad experience! Looked at a car about a week ago.( 2017 Certified Honda Civic) I really liked it, and it seemed like it was a good price. 1st thing.. not a deal breaker but there was some scratches that were obviously covered up with touch up paint no one mentioned. 2nd the car did not have floor mats in it so I told my salesman and the finance guy that "I will buy this car right now if you throw in a set of 135$ floor mats"... They assured me the price I was quoted was as low as they could go. I went home to think about it, and find someone to give the car an inspection( The car had been at the dealership for four months already, I didn't think it was going anywhere fast). Overnight, the price dropped $110 online. Almost the same amount of the floor mats. So, I set up a time to get the car inspected at a local Meineke.4:30 PM on a Saturday. I called ahead and showed up at the dealer at 4:10, Meineke just eight minutes away. Turns out, and 3rd, They lost the keys. After about 15 minutes 4:25 They tell me, "we found the keys, but we cannot find the car."At 4:48, They find the car, but I cannot get the car inspected because I missed my timeslot. The whole time they keep insisting over and over again that there is no need for me to get the car inspected.I tell them it's my first time buying a car and I just want to be safe. 4th at 6 PM at night, the price dropped on line another $500. I thought I got lucky. Remember, the floor mats only cost $135, and a few days after they told me they were at the lowest price possible, they dropped the price 610$.Monday morning at 11 AM I called to set up appointment to get the car inspected, and they told me it was just sold. Just a really bad experience, I work in sales and feel I needed to write this review because they were playing games with me, and if you don't have experience in sales, you might not see it. read more

I scheduled an express oil change as I have limited free time. I arrived 10 min early and was told approx. 60 for completion. It took approx . 1 hour 45 minutes. When I was called to pick up my car I was told in addition to the oil change a tail lamp was out and was replaced and my car was washed. However, I was not charged for anything because of how long the appointment ran as a way of apologizing. I really appreciated that Swickard Honda recognized my time as valuable . read more

My first visit since Town and Country Honda sold out to Swickard, and I was hugely overcharged for parts. List for parts was $42.00 each, and I needed 4 of the sensors. Swickard charged $54.18 each, nearly 30% over list price, let alone the 72% over what I can buy new Honda parts for online. They also offered to replace my cabin and engine air filters for the low low price of $95. So, congrats to Swickard. First and last experience with them instead of Town and Country. read more

I traded in my vehicle in July, it is now end of September and my trade in has not been paid off yet. So not only am I accumulating late fees, I have received a repo notice for a vehicle that I no longer have. I have contacted Swickard Honda WEEKLY since I got my new car. I've left voicemails and talked to people who claimed they would call me back.. I have heard nothing except one call back I received from a "manager" who said he checked and my car had been paid off.. I called my bank to let them know and they said they haven't even received a request for payoff yet. It would be lovely if someone from Swickard could actually call me back and get down to the bottom of this! My credit is on the line. I'd give negative stars if I could. read more

Norman and Deidre were great to work with! Deidre was a total sweetheart and I appreciated how Norman was very straight forward. On the other hand, Chris Stratman made no conversation with me, made assumptions about my credit card limit, assumed I had debt, and made me feel dumb for asking a question I asked about a car feature. I asked him if the car had blind spot monitors and he said yes. I asked why they didn't turn on while I drove and he said it must not be activated and I trusted him. I didn't realize until after I purchased the vehicle that they were not sensors, just security lights. I also spoke to Alex, who tried convincing me to pay sticker price, and I have no problem with that. It's his job to make money for the dealership. What I didn't like is that he threw a plethora of financial jargon at me that would be indecipherable to most people and spoke at an incredibly rapid pace in order to confuse me. It clearly didn't work I felt like he was trying to pressure me into paying sticker price by doing this and he became visibly irritated when I declined to pay it. Btw, I only got $500 off. When we went to the back to fill out the paperwork he wouldn't carry a conversation with me. Yes, it was late in the day, but be glad that you sold a car that's been sitting in your lot for a month. It wouldn't have taken so long to complete the transaction he wasn't so reluctant to discount $500. I would not recommend purchasing a car that is not a Honda from this dealership. All of the staff was completely clueless when it came to the Subaru that I was purchasing and its features. It took them a little over 10 minutes to find the keys for the car and they were also unable to locate the keys when I initially test drove it. On the other hand, the service department did a phenomenal job detailing the car! Aside the fact that the screen had received a scratch since I had last looked at it a few hours ago. The car was given to me with extremely low gas and it was almost 10:30 PM when I left. Since it was new to me, I didn't notice this as I did not know where the gas marker was and assumed it had sufficient fuel. It had 0 miles left and was on empty by the time I passed Clackamas Town Center. I live in Hood River and luckily noticed before I got on I-84, as there is no open gas station from Portland to Hood River. Btw, I left a hefty down payment for my $19,000 car of $9,000 and they still refused to negotiate with me past $500. Avoid this dealership if possible! read more

I bought a used car that was not ready for me to drive off the lot, when I looked at the car, a sales manager came over to talk to us and assured me that if I purchased the car they would have it ready for me in a week. I bought the car thinking I would then be able to pick it up sometime next week. I got an update from the sales person a few days later saying it wouldn't be ready till a little later than expected. I was okay with it, as it was still around a week and a half, then the weekend when I was supposed to pick it up, I was told there was a delay and they'd update me soon, I was expecting a follow up maybe with a new expected date, but no one followed up, I needed the car by the end of the second week after I purchased it, because I was trying to sell my current car. I spent 4 days trying to get a hold of someone to give me information because my sales rep wasn't answering my calls or emails. I gave up because no one at the dealership was helping me, and then my sales rep finally reached out to tell me they had finally gotten the parts needed and the car was being worked on, this was by the day I needed to have the car because I was selling my old one. 5 days after that I reached out to my sales rep to see if there have been any updates on when the car will be ready, and I did not hear back from her, so I reached out to a General Sales Manager and they too did not reply to my request to get update on the vehicle. It's been almost FOUR WEEKS since I purchased a car that I was told would be ready in a week and I still don't have it. If I would've known it was going to take this long I wouldn't have purchased the car here. While Everyone treated me well when I was there to purchase the car, the customer service I've been getting while I am waiting for my car has been horrible, no answers, no follow up, no consideration for the fact that I was trying to sell my car. I obviously am not expecting the car to be ready as soon as I call them, but the lack of consideration to give me updates or return my calls/emails so that I can make arrangements really left me with a bad experience at this dealership. My sales experience was good. No problem there. Lacey was great I would recommend anyone see see her. She was extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle. My 2 star rating is coming from the " Award winning service department".. I purchased a brand new 2021 Ridgeline, the dealership installed a 1.5" leveling kit, running boards and larger more aggressive tires. I took the truck on a test drive and noticed the steering wheel was slightly off center. I came back and brought this to the attention of the sales staff. They took it back to " Service" to have it corrected. I drove down from Seattle to get this truck and was on a tight schedule. My time was running short.. the service department made it better but did not fix the problem. I ended up having to make an appointment at my local Honda dealership, Honda of Seattle. They were able to correct the steering wheel. I was reimbursed for the approximately $260 from Honda of Seattle for the steering wheel problem. I still noticed a vibration at freeway speed. Being fed up I took it upon myself and took my brand new truck to my local Les Schwab in Renton where they corrected the problem. The truck needed an alignment and wheels balanced that I paid for out of pocket.. so much for their "Award winning" service department. Regardless of all the headache, as I mentioned the sales department was great and I give Lacey 5 stars all the way. But I would never take my tuck in for service at this dealership. I hope someone sees this and makes some changes as no one should have these issues with a brand new vehicle. Thanks Lacey!! Not to mention it took me hounding them to get reimbursed for my out of pocket expense.. I also had to demand they send/overnight me new temp plates as the financial department was way behind and was driving with expired temp plates.. Not sure what is going on with this place. Also purchased a warranty that specifically said everything service wise was covered and that was not the case the first time we brought it in. Straight up bad business. Please read if you're considering a buying a vehicle from Swickard and want a real experience. #theswickardchronicles I have resisted posting for 8 months about the deplorable experience I had, and continue to have, at Swickard Honda. I bought a vehicle on 12/31/21 and was swindled into adding the warranty by Sales Rep Danny and Avery. Danny gave me false financing information: told me if I added the warranty upon purchasing vehicle, I could cancel within 60 days and my payments would go back down to what they would have been, had I not added the warranty. When I did cancel (as I told him I would, but he would not let it go), my payments did not go down and now I am stuck with the higher payments of $70+ a month (!!). Each person in leadership I have spoken with since has scoffed that he would advise such a thing.... and that Sales Reps "shouldn't be offering financial advise," yet, that's how Swickard Sales is structured from the top down. You never meet the finance team, instead, you play cat and mouse as they go back and forth with that office like a game of Deal or No Deal. While "I'll be sure to address that with Danny so he is not continuing to do this" is what they tell you, you are still the one screwed financially. There is no way to fix it once the vehicle is financed unless you re-fi. The real reimbursement for cancelling the warranty was to be sent in the form of a check to my Credit Union, upon which I spent the past SEVEN (7) (!!!) painstaking months following up with Sales team. Not kidding, as I even have texts and call history. I have all messages with Danny and Jeffrey Montani (Danny's Manager) noting the cancellation is confirmed, yet nothing was ever done. Further, they ghosted my courteous calls & texts just asking for someone to help. Ezra (General Sales Manager) finally got the ball rolling on resolving the issue now in September 2022. This issue, coupled with the litany of service issues the vehicle has had, is excruciating. I took the car to a local Toyota upon purchasing the vehicle who noted I needed $3,600+ worth of service work. As I live 1.5 hours away, I have had to make multiple trips with my family to have Swickard service inspect the vehicle themselves, so they can decide what is "necessary" vs not. I paid for a vehicle inspection at a local Certified Toyota and Swickard service decided they "disagreed" that major service work needed to be done, leaving me as the customer to fit the bill for thousands of dollars worth of work in the first year of owning the vehicle. These are items that would not have been covered by the warranty had a kept it, mind you, but should have 1,000% been caught in their 120 point inspection they sell you on before they sold me the vehicle (I'd think they would catch the rat feces infestation in the engine). Also mind you, I traded in a great car for this one, which makes me sick. I am still dealing with ongoing issues with their service department, already needing to fix issues they "fixed" just months prior. I am just so damn disappointed and upset at my experience at Swickard. Hoping GM James Mullins can turn his team and business around on all ends to be customer focused. As I said in the beginning, it's truly deplorable what my family has had to go through with this dealership. **Updated: Service department did not use OEM parts, which caused other parts of the vehicle to become non-operational. Manager Craig noted this is standard among dealerships is to do the minimum (aftermarket), which is probably true, but detrimental depending upon which parts are OEM vs Aftermarket on an engine. Turns out selling a vehicle that had a rat infestation is pretty detrimental as well. General Sales Manager who was assisting me work with service department is no longer there this week (hmmmm) to help with this issue, so back to square one of working with the service department who is NOT concerned about customer satisfaction or doing the right thing. #theswickardchronicles read more

This place is amazing other than the horrific tires I was sold, I've gone through 4 tires in a year the first 2 I had replaced at Honda and they started stripping so I went to les schwab, my les schwab tires are in perfect condition and I come back in and my 2 Honda tires are stripped again and need to be replaced. These tires are ridiculously expensive at Honda and are absolutely horrible don't get your tires done here everything else is amazing though. I bought my car brand new here from swickard May 2019 and I've been through all 4 tires my car came with, that's ridiculous. But everything else is amazing, the tires suck though. read more

After dealing with one salesman for the choosing a car process a manager comes over to try and push sales of warranties and add ons. He was way too pushy and it was frustrating to have someone else suddenly come over after dealing with someone else. Purchased my car on a Sunday and was told several times it would be about 15 minutes to go sign paperwork with the financial person. It took TWO HOURS. I traded a car in that is not paid off and have been calling and emailing to get an update on that payment to the other company. No one is returning my calls or emails. During the financial part of the transaction I worked with Momo who was really great, but not that he is not returning calls or emails I wouldn't recommend this dealership. About a week later my boyfriend purchased a car from Wilsonville Honda and it was such a smoother process, the salesman was not pushy, and the financial part to 15 minutes if that. read more

I traded in my car at the honda dealer ship in Gladstone they gave me 750 for it and i bought a new car low and behold they didn't change the title over when they sold the car like they where supposed to do. I now have the columbia county sheriff's office asking me ? about a car i have not been involved with for a few years. It turns out they sold it to a kid that work at the dealership for 1200 dollars he did not change the title over then he sold it to another kid who got in an accident and ran from it and left it setting in the middle of an intersection. Never Again! If you do not mind being put off, e-mail and phone calls ignored and learning that you were lied to about certain features your new car was supposed to have, then pick this dealership! First, they failed to notify the two loan companies on the cars we traded in and we had to make a monthly payment for each vehicle before they paid the loan off. They still owe us for these payments and it has been almost four months! They were not our cars but we did not want our credit ruined because of their inability to properly handle these transactions. They failed to notify DMV in a timely manner and we finally received the registration the first part of March. I know DMV is slow but if they had notified immediately after we traded the cars in and purchased our new CR-V, this would not have happened. When we traded our two cars in we ask for certain features in the cars and were told oh yes the new car had want we wanted. WRONG!!! We wanted the Honda Link and were told yes it was part of our vehicle, I have spoken to Honda and it is not part of our car's features! This is a feature we needed, but I guess we should have done our homework before ever stepping in to this dealership! Never, never again and all maintenance will be handled by another Honda dealership! read more
