We love going to T-bone Toms when there is a good band there. Recently went with a group of 10 to see Texas City Revelators. called a few days ahead and got a table front row center. we all had dinner and drinks. Service was great. Food is always good. The music always starts early, like 5 or 6. so we can have a great night out and still be home by 9. read more

We love this place so much! My husband had the Tom's Choice Ribeye and I had the Large Chicken Fried Steak. Everything was delicious. I want to go back and try the bbq. We would go more often, but we live an hour away. Great date night spot to relax and unwind. read more

I've been wanting try T-Bone Tom's for a while, especially since seeing them on Triple-Ds; and they did not disappoint. Not only did we get to have a meal with some of my favorite space peeps, but we were entertained with live music and served great food too. The place is totally chill and relaxed, and the staff was 1000% on par to fine dining establishments. We ordered the brisket, which was super tender and flavored to perfection. And the side dishes were superb. Everything we ate was awesome. Yum! read more

Must come to this place when you are in Kemah, TX! The outdoor patio is very nice with fans and a country band playing. We had a blast. Cocktails are nice and server is friendly. Very good quality steak at very reasonable prices. Highly recommend. Skip all the restaurants on Main and boardwalk. Just come to Tom's! read more

What a hidden gem. The husband loves T-Bone Tom's steaks and has been wanting to go back, but we don't live in Kemah LOL Food was legit; service was prompt and great! I love and miss their Mac n cheese and potato salad. Next time we go to the boardwalk, definitely will stop by. read more

We made the unfortunate mistake of taking out of town guest here for lunch last Friday 4-24-2026. We had not been to T-Bone Toms in a long time but always enjoyed the patio, local vibe and the food was adequate. Just wanted to take our guests someplace local. Nope. Nope. We all ordered the Friday catfish lunch. To say it was awful is a understatement. Sadly, we all picked at our lunch plate of fish, rice, red beans & hushpuppies but did not eat much. I profusely apologized to our guest for the meal and I let our waitress know how disappointed I was in the food as she could see we did not eat much of our meal. The waitress did not seem to care. Well. This lunch ruined the rest of our day and dinner plans as we all ended up sick at our stomach within a short amount of time. Hindsight. Had I checked and asked my friends & neighbors (we have lived here for 44 years) who eat out more than we do (I did after we got sick) we would have known that T-Bone Toms has gone down hill and is not what it use to be. I made it up to our guests with the help of recommendations from friends & neighbors with meals at Fish and Chips Houston and Saltgrass Steak House both in Kemah and the food and service where excellent. The food was delicious. I enjoyed the chicken fried chicken. The brown gravy was very good. I really enjoyed the grilled tomato's. They would have been super tasty on a sandwich. Hush puppies were awesome. Pork ribs with chipotle sauce was nice. Potato salad was not sweet, very homey. Our server was very nice and quick. It seemed that they were doing a whole building by himself so he was trying to be quick but it was just busy. read more

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner last night of the two meat bbq. Wonderful sauce comes with it. The service is as always great especially by Zack. The ambiance is casual and they stay very busy always. We were greeted, seated and taken care of immediately. An older gentleman came out to check on us and asked how everything was. This is nice especially in this day and age when everyone feels entitled. Will definitely come back and I do recommend coming here. Everything is delicious, I just don't care for the adult drinks here. Too weak for the price. Very casual, trendy, touristy spot-recognized on "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives", with an eclectic decor of personalized chair dedications (see photos), framed t-shirts and family photos, and grandma's hanging plants. Bunches of tables with happy, talkative families- kinda makes you feel at home! And the service fits that bill as well-warm, cheerful, and friendly! ANDREW!!!! We chose to eat outside because, even though its still pretty hot at 7pm, and flies are always an issue, we decided it was too busy inside and there was some live music going on plus they had a lot of fans going and the Astros game on. Service was good, waitress seemed super tired, but she was pushing through and made sure to check on us often, so I can't complain. It was prime rib night, so hubby got that, and I ordered shrimp salad and tortilla soup. Food was brought quickly and quality was good. read more

T-Bone Tom's is our annual stop before our annual family cruise and it never disappoints. We start off with our favorite appetizers of boudin balls and fried mushrooms. Both are golden crispy and full of flavor. For my man course I went with the special marinated ribeye with steak fries and a side salad. The salad came out first and it's a standard salad but the balsamic dressing is really the star here...so flavorful. When the main course comes out the plate is jam packed with fries and will make for a filling meal. The steak is a perfect medium rare and seasoned well. It cuts easy and goes down smooth. The steak fries are a golden brown, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I couldn't finish them all. Along with a side of Texas toast and this is a hearty meal. Overall, my family and I will continue to come here to continue the tradition. read more

We went on a Saturday night and were seated right away inside. While we didn't wait long to have our drink order taken, the wait to receive our food was over an hour long. People who came in after us received their food well before we received ours. When we got our food it was cold and not seasoned. I've loved coming here for years but the past few times have been disappointing. I hate to say that was our last time but waiting over an hour for cold food, and then we had to wait over 30 minutes once we have our card to the server to pay until we got our card back. read more

I stopped in on Thursday evening and I'm glad I did. The place is very casual. Parking was difficult as well as getting to the location with all the construction but it's worth the extra effort to try the place out. I had a margarita at the bar which was excellent! I ordered the fried shrimp, mac & cheese and potato salad. All were delicious. The shrimp were perfectly seasoned and fried. The mac & cheese was very good and cheesy. And the potato salad had to be one of the best that I've had out at a restaurant. What made my visit even more satisfying was the peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream. That was absolutely delicious. The staff at the bar was very friendly and very attentive. I will be back when I return to the area for work again! read more

5 stars for the food, 5 stars for Blake who was working his very first shift for the very first time at T Bones. He was 1,000 x better than the "seasoned" waiter (I'll leave his name out) that he was shadowing. 0 stars for him, he didn't describe the food or desserts at all, didn't bother to tell us about happy hour, I overheard the waitress at the table next to us describing the happy hour options & describing the desserts to her table, our waiter did none of that. Good job Blake. You already outshine the guy they have you following. We will definitely request your section next time. read more

I've been here twice. Once in the evening around 9pm and I sat outside with my family. Everything was great. Food was good, drinks were good, service was good as well. Second time was today arriving at 6:30pm. However, differences we sat inside. If you want to be forgotten, just sit inside!! Having tables around us get their food before us when they were sat after us...is highly annoying! Asked about what's going on with our food since we had 4 entrees and 2 kids plates. Our server Steven H was a nice guy, honestly felt like he was overwhelmed. When I asked him able the dilemma he said he would get a manager which I appreciated. The manager however doesn't handle customers well. When I asked about what was going on and it taking a while she explained other tables had steaks and they had to make sure the chicken was fully cooked. Soo the plate she was referring too was the kids chicken plate, so three chicken tenders is what made all the food take a while to get. Oh on top of that, the fried food came out not even luke warm but room temperature. Giving three stars because my first time was great but my last time today wasn't. If you visit this restaurant, go outside!!! So you aren't forgotten! I'm sure the management is going to reply with such a great reasoning why... just saying we were a table of all Hispanics read more

First time at T-bones... classic diner / steak house The food was enjoyable enough... didn't get to try their prime rib (came too late), but the chef hooked it up, and I got the rib eye instead. I'm sadden that my steak ended up a lil more medium than I wanted, and my waitress could tell it was a lil over cooked... but I'm not gonna Karen about it. The sides were simply prepared, no bells or whistles. In my opinion the prices were a lil high for what ur getting... but the service and friendly hospitality! That more than makes up for it. The place was great, service was okay. The food was good. The only complaints we had were the gumbo, and Mac & Cheese. My mother had the gumbo which was a bit too salty for her, and the Mac & Cheese tasted like it came straight out the Kraft box which was kinda disappointing. This place has been around 50 years. The chicken fried steak is great, and the mashed potatoes & freen beans and spinach are also flavorful. They have a big tiki bar outside that has live music. There are fans blowing during the hot months. We were visiting from out of town but it's a place we would go back to for sure. A very casual diner type place. They have a nice variety of food. The fruit bowl was fresh, and of course I had to get another egg sandwich, which was just as good as I remembered. They even brought us a complimentary slice of carrot cake, and it was fantastic. I'll definitely be coming back again to get more of that carrot cake, and next time I'd also love to try their prime rib. Our server was very friendly, and I really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. It has a cozy, retro diner feel that makes it a great place to sit down and relax. This restaurant has absolutely earned my business. Even though I live an hour away, I make multiple trips to the South, and I'll definitely be stopping here often!

I ordered a meal that arrived undercooked, so much so that the dough was still raw in the middle. It wasn't just slightly underdone it was doughy and inedible. I brought it to the staff's attention & I was told to order something else, and then I was charged for the replacement meal, which cost nearly twice as much as my original order. There was no discount, no adjustment, and no effort to make up for the mistake. In the end, we paid significantly more because the restaurant served an inedible meal. That's simply not acceptable. The one bright spot was our server. She was friendly, attentive, and did everything she could to help. This experience is in no way a reflection of her service she was wonderful. The issue was entirely with how the heck am I paying double for my meal that was wrong. Unfortunately, the lack of quality control and poor customer service in resolving the problem means I won't be returning. When a restaurant makes a mistake, customers shouldn't have to pay extra because of it. Oh and let me add that apparently we weren't the first person to complain about it & it look super long.

There are way better places to eat in Kemah. We had to wait for 2 hours to be seated. The menu had fried food that makes you think you are no where a beach. After seated we got our app and drinks from the waiter which was supee nice. We were seated outside under the hut. It was super hot, and they did not have fans blowing in our direction. After seeing a family leave a table were one of the fans was blowing, we moved in our direction. No big deal becuase family on the table had already left. Well a customer out of no where, after the 30 min the fan was on us decides to move in her direction. She was not inder the hut, which os a little cooler. We had a 2 year old with us. Qe decided to move back in our direction when a male manager yells at us tellimg us we can not move fan. He did not know the story of us having fan blowing in our directions. He was very rude and had lady manager back him up. Instead of coming with a accommodating idea they both were rude. Food is fries food and customer is no good. Better restaurants. T-Bone Tom's is such a gem! We first heard about it from Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and it absolutely lives up to the hype. The food is beyond yummy--everything is cooked to perfection and the portions are generous. They also make amazing drinks that perfectly complement the meal! The atmosphere is just as great as the food. It's very family-friendly, with both indoor and outdoor seating, and the fun décor makes it such a welcoming place. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and you can tell they genuinely enjoy working there. What keeps us coming back is the consistency--the food and drinks are always delicious, no matter what we order. Just got home from T-Bone Toms and had to notify all you yelpers. T-Bone Toms in Kemah Texas is awesome! My girlfriend has the fried shrimp and she loved them. Bob had a ribeye steak and he was it was one of the best he ever had, cooked medium rare, i think is what he said. His wife had I think the grilled chicken salad and she ate every bit and she's on a diet. We sat outside and they are adding a new palm covered roof out there and it is cool looking. Came here with my friends while vacationing in Galveston. They were one of the few places that were open at midnight and we didn't want Denny's. First I thought it was closed, considering it was empty inside but no, in the back the patio was lit up with music playing. Hands down, it was fantastic, the staff was great, not to mention that the food was fantastic. I'm from Dallas but I wouldn't mind going back over there. That's how great it is. read more

Last time I had the Mahi Mahi and thought it was fine enough. This time I decided to try one of their burgers. I'll be honest, I like my burgers pretty plain, which is its own can of worms. Point being, the bun tasted very odd and almost stale, and the patty was very mushy and lacked flavor. The signature sauce was also unappetizing, with it being some sort of distant cousin of mustard or potentially a very odd Thousand Islands? I'm not sure if additional toppings would save this considering the unappealing foundation. It just left me very unfulfilled. The milkshakes on the other hand? Fantastic. Definitely the highlight. It was just as good as the last time I went. I haven't been to many other places that matches the quality of here. Could not recommend more. I've yet to try the chicken or other fish so I can't comment on their quality. All I'm gonna say is, burger lovers maybe approach with a grain of salt. 3/5

When we heard about the Buffalo Trace Bourbon Night, we saw it as an opportunity to give Opus a second chance while enjoying an event centered around one of our interests. As a bourbon enthusiast and collector with more than 120 bottles in my collection, this was a special event that I had been looking forward to for over a week. About a week and a half before the event, I called and made what I believed was a reservation. During that call, I specifically asked whether my wife could attend and have something other than bourbon. The young man I spoke with even put me on hold and checked with someone before confirming that would be fine. At no point during that conversation was I told that I was being placed on a waiting list rather than receiving a confirmed reservation. When we arrived the night of the event, we were handed a drink and then informed that we could not enter because there was no space available. Standing there with a drink in hand only to be told we were not actually admitted to the event was embarrassing and frustrating. We had planned our evening around this experience and were excited to attend, only to find out that what we thought was a reservation was apparently a spot on a waiting list. What made the situation even more disappointing was the lack of effort to make things right. Mistakes happen, and most reasonable people understand that. However, there was no meaningful attempt to accommodate us, no alternative offered, and very little acknowledgment of the inconvenience and embarrassment caused by the situation. The food itself remains what I would consider average--certainly not bad, but not memorable enough to overcome the customer service experience. We ultimately left and went to Kemah Steak Company, where we enjoyed excellent service, great steaks, and some outstanding Garrison Brothers bourbon. Ironically, the evening we had hoped to spend at Opus turned into a reminder of how much good service and customer care matter. I wanted Opus to prove my first impression wrong. Unfortunately, this experience only reinforced it. For a restaurant hosting specialty events, communication and customer service should be just as important as the food and drinks being served.

It was juicy, had the right amount of toppings and condiments! The onion rings were crispy, crunchy, and huge! The batter stayed on the onion rings which is a plus! The restaurant is huge, lots of TV's, tables, a large bar area, and great for a date night or a large party! Definitely worth it!

Adding the bbq sauce made them amazing The beans and okra were good, just not outstanding. But that didn't change the review - if you haven't been here, then you're missing out. There was a crowd, but the staff rose to the occasion and everyone's order was taken quickly, and service was just as fast. We sat outside and enjoyed the cool weather. Something we can't always do in this part of Texas. If you want bbq and don't want the overpriced chain joints, be here. It's one of the best I've had in this area.

Inside has a plethora of booths and tables, as well as a banquet area for small and large parties alike. The hubster and I shared their two meat platter with a side of mashed potatoes and baked beans. It was plenty for us to share and beyond delicious! The staff is over the top friendly and we were asked frequently if we would like more, or refills. This was a chance place for us to experience and I am oh so glad we did. Thank you Red River BBQ for the wonderful hospitality!

I just found out about this place and it is tucked away behind a Chevron gas station. I had to call…read morethe restaurant because I couldn't find it even while using my phone. When I walked in, the place was clean and the aroma of BBQ was smelling really good in the air. The decor was very nice and the owner was even nicer and very welcoming. I went in there only looking for ribs because I have found that a really good rib is hard to find, however, the ribs here were very tasty, a little pricey, but very good. I always say that I don't mind paying extra when the food is as good as the money spent for it. Now, let me tell you that I only purchased a pound of ribs and a quart of Mac and cheese and the M&C was also good. I believe that the young man helping behind the counter was the owner's son so that tells me that the business is family owned, can't go wrong with that. The other sides looked delicious as well but I was not really that hungry for other dishes. I will go back and try the other items on the menu at another time. Now that I know where it is, it will be easy peasy to get there again. Once again, I forgot to take a picture of the food but I will when I go back. Anyway, pull up on em at Luka's Barbecue & Steak and enjoy!
