Restaurant is very upscale and impressive with cute young hostesses wearing uniform minidress. The waitstaff are dressed in dark suits, or dress shirt and slacks, high class! The ambiance is amazing, however service is slow. What should have been a one hour meal was stretched to two hours due to waiting for each course to waiting for the bill. We ordered the Father's Day menu and I found the bacon appetizer not to my liking, however, the steak entree was delicious , too much food for my husband and myself so we had a meals to take home. They have a "team" of staff who look after you making sure you're abundantly taken care of. We had the creamed corn, mashed potatoes petite filet, seafood tower, hearts of palm salad, chocolate peanut butter brownie sundae, crème brûlée, chocolate ice cream "balls" (they serve up a generous portion) and some other sides I may have missed. The dishes were beautifully presented, and quite tasty, except for the hearts of palm salad, which I found less appealing. Easter brunch was absolutely amazing! This visit the service was superb. So much food you didn't know what to select next! A huge seafood buffet, caviar, devilled eggs, waffle station omelet station and a long line up of hot foods. Then - there were the desserts! So very many of them! Top your own cinnamon rolls, little tapioca puddings in eggshells, croissant cones - I wished I would have started with the desserts as I was so full by the time I got to them. It was my Birthday and we figured the strip was going to be overcrowded with EDC, etc, so I searched Yelp -saw great reviews and thought-why not try it! Sylvia was our server-she absolutely puts the "serve" in "service". Between her and all the serving staff, our water glasses never even went below 3/4 full. Now for the food-just wow. We ordered the crab cakes and Caesar salad (to split) for starters. There were two large crab cakes. No fake fillings just pure delicious crab. Get these! Our Caesar salad was big enough for two and the dressing was spot on. Next up, my hubby ordered the NY strip and added 2 lobster tails. He loved it. Or family took our mother to T-bones for Mother's Day dinner while staying at the hotel. They served us cheap, reheated prime rib that was way over cooked. I believe they were reheating food left over from their mother's day brunch buffet. One of them was so bad it was like eating reheated roast beef. We sent the worst one back and made do with what we had. Even the filet was bad. The rest of the casino restaurants were just as bad. We will not be returning to T-bones, or the red rock hotel. We came here for dinner tonight. We were seated at a high top by the bar. We ordered a nice half bottle of wine, and it took about a half an hour to come out. Our server stopped by a few times to say, "I will check on that." It was an excellent Chateauneuf du pape when it finally arrived. We then ordered our dinner. We ordered a steak and mashed potatoes. We finished our half bottle of wine while we waited. After 45 minutes of waiting I went and found the waiter. I told him if our food wasn't ready please just close my tab. He said our food should be out soon and it was out shortly. After that, three different people came by to check on us. I think they may have been managers but I am not sure. They apologized for the long wait, and they all said they would "take care of us." Once we finished the meal, we asked for our check. We paid full price, which I am fine with. I didn't expect to get a discount. I just wish they had not interrupted my wife and I's conversation to make a big show of caring. I've been coming to T-Bones since it opened and I am always pleased with my meal and the service. Tonight's dinner was no different. I was brought my iced tea quickly. I ordered off-menu tonight as the chef had a surf and turf special. This was a petit filet, two scallops, and some asparagus all on a small bed of potato purée. I started with the tuna poke. It is served in a round with pieces of avocado and with some horseradish that gives the poke a kick. It is also served with some thin wafer-like crackers that are enjoyable to eat with the poke. Since the special had some vegetables with it, I skipped a side. They are also too large for a solo diner. It was a good choice. It left room for dessert. I got the coconut chiffon cake which the menu describes this way--coconut custard cream, Chantilly cream, coconut flakes; supporting local businesses; handcrafted by Suzuyza Patisserie. It is superb! Not my first stay at the Red Rock but my first visit to TBones. Our table of 5 was seated immediately. The service was quick and attentive. While perusing the menu a server came table side with hot fresh out of the oven bread choices. Absolutely delicious choices of 6-8 different rolls. There's absolutely nothing wrong with indulging in a good steakhouse every now and then. Every major city usually has a bunch to choose from and Las Vegas is no exception. From all the celebrity-owned steakhouse on the Strip to the lesser known off strip, there's a steakhouse for everyone. Usually, staying on the strip is all about conveneince...gambling, shopping, and dining it's all centrally located and there's little, to no, reason to venture outside for anything...unless you're a foodie like me. This one steakhouse located outside of the Strip just may be worth the trip. Let's take a bite into, T-Bones. The Place (4 out of 5) - T-Bones is located West of the Las Vegas strip in Summerlin inside of the Red Rock Casino. One of the few fine dining options, T-Bones is fairly centrally located on the property and is easy enough to find, or run into, as you tour the property. The entrance is welcoming with properly lit signage and a lot of windows for you to peek in to see what's going on. I didn't get a chance to walk through the entire restaurant, but T-Bones also has an outdoor patio area in the back, which looks to be pretty impressive and a nice place to hangout, especially at night. Needless to say, the restaurant is clean and has an elegance about it that you can't help but pay attention to. The bar is just inside the entrance with the dining room spread out around it and consists of booths and tables. All in all, a really good atmosphere that's well presented and a good place to enjoy your meal. The Service (3.5 out of 5) - The hostesses were welcoming, accommodating, and super friendly. They represented the restaurant well and were genuinely interested in giving you great service. Unfortunately, that's where it stopped. Now, before I briefly mention my experience, I'd like to start off by saying, that by the end of my meal, the service was absolutely fine and I'm glad I visited the restaurant, and will more than be happy to go back; however, first impressions are everything and mine with my server could've been a bit better. I came to the restaurant by myself and thought to sit at the bar since the full menu is offered there. I took my seat and hadn't been acknowledged for close to 5 min. No "hi", no "we'll be right with you, can I get you something to drink for now?"....nothing. When the bartender finally did come up to me, she seemed as if my presence was bothering her ability to serve the people that "she wanted to" and I was just there wasting her time. No warm, welcoming attitude, but just cold and made me feel like I was an inconvenience. I don't know about everyone else, but I absolutely love rock/tempura/fried/popcorn shrimp! There's something about it that's just pleasant and always tasty. Perhaps it's the "snack" feel, but with a more "premium" ingredient? I don't know. Anyways, that's what I started with, the Rock Shrimp Tempura served with a Spicy Yuzu Aioli. Here's the thing, I'm a bit biased, so I'll pretty much say a dish like this is always good and it was! However, if I would order it again, I would probably ask for the aioli to be served on the side instead of tossed in it. Don't get me wrong, the shrimp was fried perfectly, had great crunch, tender, and the aioli gave a good tang from the yuzu, but I would've preferred to dip instead of indulge in the douse, if that makes sense. For my main course, I went with 5 oz of the Japanese A5 Kobe Ribeye cooked to a mid-rare+. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender, and hit the spot. Only wish was that T-Bones carried more cuts of the A5 instead of just the ribeye, but again, no complaints, it was fantastic. The blistered shishito peppers gave a good break in the palette to help break up the richness of the A5 providing a sweet, spicy flavor profile. Highly recommend! Overall (4 out of 5) - T-Bones was a great experience, overall. I enjoyed my meal, the drinks, and the ambience. While the first impression with the bartender was a bit of a disappointment, it still wouldn't stop me from returning, trying more dishes, and to have another go at the Rock Shrimp Tempura. We have been going to the Mother's Day Brunch celebration for the past 10 years and are never disappointed. The price is $149 for adults and $49 for children under 8. The service is always top notch. My son wanted a chocolate milk, so they made him one. If you drop your napkin and go get some food, it is neatly folded when you return. They keep all the glasses full of champagne, too. The dining room itself is quite beautiful and exquisite. We have never tried the patio dining but it looked packed and upbeat. The live pianist was a nice touch. The highlight of the Mother's Day Brunch for us is the seafood bar. Fresh oysters, jumbo shrimp, king crab clusters, yellowtail carpaccio, and tuna tartare. A close second is the carving station. I came in tonight to celebrate my husband's birthday. I had such a great first visit that I was excited to share this experience with him since it was his first time dining. I made a reservation and was running a tad behind, but when I contacted the hostess Olivia she quickly pushed our reservation back to allow us time to get there. The time in between when we were seated and him engaging with us was an extended period of time which he made no mention of or apologies for. I was incredibly disturbed by his demeanor. He did not seem like he was happy and wanted to be at work. When he returned and again asked if we wanted to order drinks, I asked him his name how he was doing. He responded with his name but made no mention of the type of night he was having. This guy was just not friendly, and more importantly he didn't even attempt to show us a pleasant disposition. So right away I got up and went to hostess stand to ask for a different server. A manager happened to be there and he moved our table and placed us with an amazing gentleman by the name of Rigo. Rigo was incredibly attentive and friendly. It was a pleasure to be helped by him. My husband and I were moved to a dark corner of the restaurant opposite from Brian and the booth that I had initially requested. Our view for the remainder of the night was of the backs of people sitting at the bar. While the food was good, the ambiance was lost and my husband's fine dining birthday experience was diminished due to poor customer service and lack of effort by Brian. A restaurant at this price point should have a level of service to match at every single visit and with every single employee. Ambiance was amazing as always and we were seated right away. Last year, we had a tomahawk steak with sides and it was plenty for the 4 of us. When the menus arrived...sticker shock!!! That same steak was 40% HIGHER... from 199.00 last year to 278.00!!! We all decided to each get queen cut prime rib instead. Then we waited almost 1 1/2 hours for our meal to arrive. We figured ordering prime rib would be something that would come out fairly quickly... it didn't. Server came by a couple times with bread and said it was on the way. Good finally arrived ... it was good and well presented. Then we waited another hour for dessert to arrive. Plenty of other better steakhouses in town, I'd skip this one. Upon being sat down, we were initially asked for drinks without any drink menu. Server disappeared for 10-15 min and returned to see if we decided on drinks. Still hadn't even seen a drink menu - finally it was presented. Prices on drinks were equal or higher to those on the strip. Pretty absurd to pay $20+ for a small cocktail. Had the petite Filet it was seared nicely and to temp perfectly. My father's on the other hand not so much. He ordered a prime rib end cut well done. It arrived medium at best. He asked for it to be cooked correctly so they took it back to finish it. 15-20 minutes later when the rest of us had finished our meal it came out with very little apology or offer of maybe a desert on the house or next round of drinks etc.. Haven't even gotten to the part that it's Restaurant Week here in Vegas right now, and nobody ever mentioned it or showed the special menu for it. As a partner for restaurant week, a portion of proceeds go to Three Square food bank in town from their special limited menu. Go to a handful of places every year during this time, and 99% of them have signage up front and speak about the cause and present the special menu. Being part of something like this should be a privilege, and the restaurant should take great pride in doing so. We even asked a manager at the front on the way out and he said "yea it's restaurant week", and proceeded to point at a tiny post card sized menu that nobody would have noticed. Beautiful restaurant and bar area. Great hostess in the front, very classy. Loved the bartender at the outside bar area, but everything else gets a big zero. We sat down at 8:15, ordered by 8:30 and our food came after 9:30pm. My pasta was tiny, literally a very small bowl, dry, maybe under the heater too long. Makes sense, because it took over an hour to come out. I don't mind waiting for good food, this was not good. My boyfriend was happy with his beef tar tar and pasta, but not happy it took so long. We were not super hungry that is why we did not order from the prime cut menu but if we were happy last night we would have returned to sample other menu items. Very very disappointing. Sloppy execution. There are too many great places in Vegas that are better at executing a nice experience to waste your time here. Experience is such a big part of going out. Management might need to hire more cooks and staff to manage time and food quality. We could have been great regular clients as we are locals and enjoy fine dining. Reputation is everything. We won't be saying positive things about T-Bones except my first paragraph. read more
