Bobolini - donut-like exterior pistachio creme filling and meringue (perfect sweetness) on top. Perfect tastes and textures.

Trendy artistic interior with a relaxing yet vibrant blend of silver, wood and black. Service had us feeling relaxed while wanting for nothing; friendly but not intrusive. This is a culinary destination for the duck alone, which serves at least two and is comprised of the confit shepherd's pie and perfectly prepared (medium rare) duck breast. A symphony of smoky and only slightly gamey flavors. The confit was moist and rich yet well balanced by the potatoes and peas and carrots. Bobolini was a great finish, light but delicious. Tabernacle isn't cheap but I found it quite the value for the superior ingredients, amazing flavors and textures and lovely service. Oh, and it's kosher.

Besides being a kosher steakhouse they are very Polite and great customer service, which we appreciated.I found Tabernacle steakhouse on line to take my boyfriend out for his birthday. I made the reservation and it was amazing. I am a vegetarian and they made me a beautiful vegan meal just vegetables which was very satisfying. His steak looked beautiful and he said it was delicious. I was very impressed with them . For desert they came out with a beautiful parve cake to top off the night. We were very happy and we will definitely be back .

Astonishingly warm and thoughtful service. Exceptional kosher dining experience. Steak and short rib were great. The gluten free Ferrero rocher inspired dessert at the end was epic!

I liked that this was close to my hotel. It opened at 5pm and was curious because it looked nice. It's a nice place, nice ambiance, and even the bartender was nice (I think his name was Luke). It was just a bit pricey for a burger and a glass of red wine. I think the burger was around $65, for just the burger and fries. I can justify paying that for a good quality steak, but not a burger. It was a good burger, but wasn't THAT good. It was fine to check the place out, but I probably wouldn't return unless someone else was paying.

Very nice experience at Tabernacle. I visited for a work dinner on a week day after work. We had to wait some time to be seated (not sure why since it was only busy upstairs due to an event). The decor was really nice-sophisticated and rustic. They even have barrels with seating inside. So cool! This was my first kosher restaurant and I really liked everything I tried. We ordered drinks first and all loved them. I believe I had a frose drink. Delish! For the foods we just ordered a bunch of appetizers including the Tuna Tartare, Crispy Rice, Nori Tacos, Korean Fried Chicken, Short Rib Flatbread, Beef Cheek Empanadas, Mashed Potatoes, Shishito Peppers, and 2 types of sushi that may have been the Rainbow Dragon and Rainbow Naruto. Not 109% sure but I loved the Rainbow Dragon and I'm not big on seafood. As far as the other dishes the stars were the korean fried chicken, short rib flatbread, and empanadas! I would not say the prices should be that high but the service was exceptional and the experience was good!

I came here for a dinner with some work colleagues. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere. The booths were shaped like wine barrels giving the atmosphere of a winery. The dining room was dimly lit and felt upscale. The wait staff was very attentive. Our waiter went through the menu offerings with us in great detail. He explained the different cuts of meat. We ended up trying their special cut. I had mine with a side of fries and shishito peppers. Others I. My party tried the carpaccio and the sushi. I thought my steak was nicely cooked and buttery and tender. The fries were good, but average. The menu said it came with a special aioli but it was just regular ketchup and mayo. The prices are ok the high side since this place would be considered fine dining (I think one cut was $160). Our food came out quickly but the service didn't feel rushed. Overall, I think this is a nice place to go for a business meal with kosher colleagues or even if you have kosher friends in town.

Came here for a birthday dinner for my boyfriend and we can't stop thinking about how excellent the meal and service was. We were seated inside one of the cool barrel tables and were served by Carlos. I sneaked in that it was his birthday to the waiter and he really treated us lovely. We started off with a market salad which was beautifully dressed with a tarragon dressing and fresh blood orange slices. Then we were recommended the veal gnocchi which was so so so good. Crispy gnocchi with a luscious and rich veal jus. Tasted just like a Shabbat dinner. So so so good. Now the real winner is the ribeye that we got pepper crusted. Do not skip the pepper crust on your steak here. A flavor explosion worth every bite. We got a side of the potatoes which we didn't expect to be a mash but paired beautifully with the Demi glaze that came with the steak. The steak was so perfectly prepared and cooked and drizzled with olive oil that made it so buttery and decadent. I am already thinking of the next time we will come back just for that bite. Carlos was kind enough to give us a taste of their reserve red to pair with our steak. Then we ordered a Milan lava came to end and you could not even tell it was parve. They gave us chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla which was a bit of a at first but the ice cream is so so so good and rich and I wouldn't eat them together but separately each chocolate piece was so wonderful. Carlos also treated us to a glass of Prosecco for dessert. All in all I absolutely loved this restaurant and it was probably my favorite kosher restaurant I've ever had. My boyfriend also said it was the best steak he'd ever tasted. We will be back for sure and take everyone we know!! Thank you for a lovely dinner and evening :)

Went for a company dinner and got to try so many amazing dishes. Highly recommend the sushi platter -- the tabernacle roll was so good. We also really loved the crispy rice. Korean fried chicken and shishito peppers were very well made but not the highlight of the meal. Both the tabernacle 48 oz and 22 oz cowboy au poivre were amazing, and we highly recommend the bone marrow crust. Service was great (we got complimentary Prosecco) and the ambience was great although a bit loud.

Perfect place for kosher food! Perfect service and dedicated staff. I was asked several times of the food was good and if there was anything I needed. Ordered the chicken which was a little dry. There was no sauce on it- served with a squash, and fancy carrots. My friend had the lavender lemonade and loved it. The fries were small for $16 and salted. That's not good for most and really they should have replaced them. The desert was a chocolate mouse with peanut and jelly inside. Nothing great. Atmosphere nice: there are small booths and rooms for private parties. Upstairs is more dining for large groups and events.

A really nice new exciting atmosphere. Busy and adding a level, the service was outstanding. Even the Caesar Salad at the table was a nice touch. Great wine selection (gotta love everything Herzog). Shared the "For Two" and the presentation at the table was impressive. Nice ending with Sorbet. Expensive but that's fine dining in the city.

I got the mushroom pita and the whole roasted baby cauliflower, and both were insane. Mushroom Pita: Fresh, fluffy pita bread, with roasted mushrooms in an umami-rich tahini sauce. This was mouthwateringly good, and the mushrooms also had a great, fresh texture. Baby Cauliflower: It sounds so simple but the magic is in the execution. The cauliflower is both soft and firm at the same time; it almost melts in your mouth. There's a reason that two times we went to Miznon, they had already run out. Friendly service, and a chill ambiance. They have fresh tomatoes and long green peppers as a living decor, and they will give you a cooked pepper if you like. Take them up on their offer - the pepper is delicious (and spicy if you eat the seeds).

One would think how hard it is to make chicken soup, put chicken in the water, add salt, bring to a boil, cook for an hour. Done. It lacked the bold Parmesan and peppercorn flavor that usually defines it. The fries stood out in a good way. They had great crunch and texture and were easily the most consistent item on the table. The ribeye was decent but not at the level you expect for a $90 cut. The temperature came out at a proper medium and there was a noticeable char, which added some flavor. However, it tasted like it had been reheated rather than cooked fresh. The bone was not hot and the fat was not fully rendered or caramelized, which took away from the overall experience. It was not bad, but it missed the mark for the price point. Service was good, which helped the experience. But, with so many solid steakhouse options in NYC, this is not a place I would go out of my way to return to.
