Food was absolutely horrible. Their house "hot sauce" tasted like watery ketchup and their enchilada sauce tasted like marinara sauce. Not to mention it was served submerged in the sauce. Way too much sauce. It was basically soup. Their soft tacos were super dry. Like shockingly dry. No type of sauce or wet element in it. A speck of Dry chicken, an abundance of iceberg lettuce and shredded cheese were the only ingredients. Very unfortunate. The beans were serving in a side plastic bowl with cold red sauce on top so the bite was a funky contrast between the hot beans and the cold sauce. Flavor of beans were fine tho. Will never return.

If you like fries and fry sauce- this is the place. They have good burgers and an oddly addictive bean and cheese burrito (dip it in fry sauce and show your a local...it's weird but delicious!) One thing that is a MUST- when they are in season is.....FRESH PEACH SHAKES! The peaches come farm to table - grown in taco amigos family farm.... It's wildly delicious. If you are coming for any type of Mexican food you may be disappointed because it's more American Mexican- (ground beef - shredded cheese - sour cream... you get the picture) They are more known for their burgers and fries! This is a pleasant grove staple and must be visited if you're in the area!

This was the spot growing up and it's still my go-to when I'm in UC. I was sad to see such a low rating but then realized it's because everyone who knows TA knows how good it is without retreating to Yelp and if they are new customers the line wrapped around the building speaks for itself. The fries and shakes (their seasonal shakes specifically) are their best items but I also love their meat and cheese burritos and burgers. If you're passing through PG, this family-owned and operated joint is highly recommended for lunch or dinner.

I have been coming to taco amigo for years. Best fast food restaurant. The cheese melts are super good, also there burger and fry's mixed with the signature fry sauce it hits the spot!

This is definitely a Pleasant Grove spot when you're in Pleasant Grove, a MUST stop! I love their (seasonal) fruit shakes here such as raspberry, peach, and strawberry shakes. What I really come here for are two things (besides the shakes): their fries and their bandido - a sort of Mexican pizza that takes me back to my nostalgic Taco Bell Mexican pizza (which no longer exists - QUE the tears!). And one of the familia recently commented that their fries taste JUST LIKE good o'l McDs fries, which I'm a HUGE fan of. Tried their fries recently....CONFIRMED. They taste just like McDs fries....and you get more of a serving of their fries here too....more bang for your buck! The ambiance and environment are always inviting, pleasing, and close to home.

If you have never had authentic mexican food you may not be disappointed. This restaurant is Jack in the Box meets 7/11. The bright spots were that the fries were good and the shakes were very good. We did not have a hamburger so we can't comment on them. The nachos, enchiladas, and retried beans were lukewarm and tasted like they were not microwaved to the correct temperature. It is challenging to be good at mexican food and burgers and fries. If we come back we will try the burgers, with fries and milkshakes.

Well let's just say this place must be a local thing....because nope. I do have to say we were warned. But went anyway. We honestly went to try their peach shake but we were one week to early. We asked for the next best thing and they said strawberry. So that is what we got and the strawberries were frozen solid covered in ice crystals. So even that was not to great. The service was great and friendly. The other food we got was fine.

Taco Amigo, did you change your fries? There are now skins on the fries and it has changed the flavor of your product. Trying to stay away from nostalgia here, these may be for some people but for me this is an unfortunate loss in my book. For the first time in say 20+ years, I wasted TA fries, about half of the large bag. I'm still giving for stars, because your big amigos are on point still. Please don't change them either. You have definitely come a long way since the days of your dining areas being closed for covid and the wait time in the drive through was quicker than normal. Bonus!!! Because we all know we get to happily wait a little bit to get our TA. This is why you get the four stars today. Operationally, big win. Your staff at both the drive up and the window were very nice and were smiling.

Not the cheapest shakes in all the land, but definitely some tasty ones! Their FRESH strawberry shake is seasonal starting first week of June through end of summer, and their FRESH peach shake is seasonal for the month of September only. They are delicious, just not sure they're worth $5+ for a regular size. Actually I know they're not, but I'll keep coming back because they do pack a lot of fruit in each shake! TIP: if you're a Utah shake lover, make sure to ask for yours to be "thick"! Otherwise the texture is quite runny, more milkshake like.

I came here with a group of about 30 and the staff was incredibly friendly and nice to all of us! The did an excellent job getting our food out fast and warm for the whole group! They did mess up one order but quickly fixed it and comped some fries. I got the Big Amigo and it was the same great taste as always. I also got the peanut butter shake and it was delicious! There was big chunks of chocolate and peanut butter cups as well as perfectly blended small pieces. I would totally get it again!

Wow....best peach shake on the planet!!!! And yes, I've had plenty of peach shakes so I'm a bit of an authority.

There was no wait to be seated, which was a great start, and we were looking forward to a relaxing breakfast together. Unfortunately, the experience steadily declined from there. After being seated, it took several minutes before anyone came to our table. When our server arrived, she offered coffee, which we accepted, but we were never offered water. I noticed that nearly every other table around us received both coffee and water automatically, so that stood out. When our food arrived, my eggs were significantly overcooked and had to be remade. While mistakes happen and I certainly understand that, it added additional wait time to the meal. Throughout breakfast, service felt very inattentive. We had to request extra napkins, ask for coffee and water refills ourselves, and rarely saw our server check on the table. One thing that really surprised us was that she brought our check while we were still eating. I've dined at many restaurants, including First Watch, and it's unusual to receive the bill halfway through the meal rather than after you're finished. After Bill was placed on the table, we didn't see our server again. The final disappointment came after we had finished eating. We stayed for a few minutes talking, and when we were ready to leave with our leftovers, we waited approximately 20 minutes without seeing our server. I finally had to find another waitress just to get a takeout box. Individually, none of these issues would have been a major concern. However, when you combine them all together, it resulted in a disappointing overall experience from beginning to end. I realize our server may have been new, and I truly don't enjoy criticizing someone who is learning. My intent isn't to get anyone in trouble. Rather, I wanted management to understand why what should have been an enjoyable breakfast with my daughter turned into an experience that left us questioning whether we'll return.

Now for the not-so-good. We usually call ahead because we have a few family members with food allergies. We called ahead and everything sounded kopacetic. We arrived and ordered our food. One member of our 6 person party ate a couple of fries (which she asked about ahead of time due to her allergies) and she noticed something different about the fries. We asked one of the workers if they put something on the fries because they were crispy on the outside. The worker said "I don't think so." We asked if he could check to be sure so he went to ask. He came back and said "it's just crispy coating." So again we asked "can you tell us what is in the crispy coating because we are trying to avoid an allergic reaction." He replied "it's just crispy coating I don't know what's in it." So we asked "is there anyway you can find out what's in the crispy coating?" He replied "there is definitely a way to find out." He goes to the back...again. When he returns he says, "we fry the fries in a fryer with our chicken tenders. I would suggest not eating the fries." His suggestion is well-taken but we still don't know what's in the 'crispy coating.' When we were ordering, one member in my group asked for the two meat plate with brisket and pork ribs. The menu says "pork ribs." The worker said "We don't have pork ribs. We have ribs." So ribs it was. Giving a little room for grace, he was a young man who seemed to be new. BUT if you are at the cash register taking orders, you really should know what's on your menu. As for the food, it was disappointing. Portions were small. For the two meat plate with brisket and sausage, I was given one piece of brisket and a small hot link. To be fair, the menu says "8 oz" for the two meat plate so you kind of know what you're getting. When the order comes out, it looks very small. The brisket was a little on the dry side. The hot link was tasty but small. Buyer beware. TLDR; not coming back
